We got married at Hawks Cay on 2/24/2024 and had the most incredible experience. Kalia and Morgan are an incredible team and extremely responsive and helpful throughout the year long wedding planning. They were able to answer any and every question we had leading up to the wedding day. We had both the reception and wedding on Oasis Cay Lawn, which was the most stunning background. When booking with Hawks Cay you get access to Peggy, a wedding planner with destination wedding studio. Peggy was also incredible and worked with me the month leading up to the wedding. The only issue we had was the bathrooms that are designated to the Oasis Cay Lawn. We also had both a welcome and after party at Angle & Ale, which turned out perfect. We worked with Patrick to book and organize a pickle ball tournament the day before the wedding, which was a HUGE hit with our guests. All of our guests loved the resort. The resort also had staff with golf carts available at all times to drive our guests around the resort. HIGHLY recommend Hawks Cay for a wedding. Wish we could do it all over again!
My fiance and I looked long and far for a wedding venue that fit our vision of an accessible destination wedding for our family and friends from NY/NJ. We are so happy we came across Hawks Cay after viewing many other surrounding venues in the Keys. For us, Hawks Cay was a no brainer and we were excited about the variety of stay options that the resort and surrounding area allowed for our guests (Regular hotel-style rooms and multi-room townhouse stays affiliated with the resort for groups of friends or family, townhouses on Hawks Cay island premise not affiliated with the resort and plenty of other stay options in Marathon a quick distance away). Most of our guests ended up staying at Hawks Cay and it was the most amazing experience to walk around and see so many familiar faces at every turn- this truly made our quality time with all those who made the journey that much more abundant.
Everyone who stayed at the resort had an exceptional experience from their rooms to the resort amenities, people loved the pools and lagoon areas/ options activities for kids. A few people were even interested in purchasing a townhome after the fact and already have talked about yearly trips back.
From the extended time shared between everyone staying at the resort, to the welcome party we had the day before at Angler and Ale and the big day, our hearts are just still overflowing 2 weeks later. If we had to do it all over again we wouldn't have changed a thing.
Morgan, Kaila, and Peggy were outstanding. Morgan and Kaila were very helpful in setting the wedding up and helping us navigate our choices from the get-go and Peggy (Destination Wedding Studios) really went above and beyond in the smaller details with me (extremely hands-on with every detail imaginable of the entire wedding from ceremony to reception, I told her a million times I could not have done it without her expertise - she knows every vendor under the sun down there as well) I had Peggy's services for the day of which comes with booking the venue - but they really were so much more than that with consistent and thorough communication starting months prior to the big day. I think it's amazing everyone who gets married at the resort gets to work with this team collectively and I wish every bride the experience of working with Peggy :) I will miss my calls with her and her team, she felt like family!
All of our guests had an amazing time at the wedding itself and we were repeatedly told how fun this wedding and vacation-style getaway was. This event was the family reunion that every large family talks about but often time never comes to fruition with busy schedules.
The beef Wellington appetizer, coconut shrimp, and steak crostini were items we heard awesome and resounding positive feedback from the cocktail hour on from almost everyone.

We really wanted to leave a positive review of Hawkes Cay. The venue was beautiful, the food was phenomenal, and the resort staff were friendly, warm and accommodating. We give the resort as a whole 4 stars, due to the fact that they charge $200 a night for "incidentals". The incidentals are actually a credit for the room, "in case you want to charge food or beverages to the room". We did not know this until we had already been at the resort for 2 days.
The issues we have had was with the wedding staff. Morgan Patterson was our contact for catering sales. Communication with her took numerous emails, sent by both my wife and myself, over the months leading up to the wedding. Simple questions regarding even a change in the rum selection at the bar took weeks to resolve. We were told we would have an additional night in the wedding suite included in the total cost of our wedding (in addition to the 1 complimentary night). I had paid for 2 nights in a regular room before the wedding to give us time to prepare, as we were coming from 6 hours away. The night before we were set to check in to the suite, we were told by Morgan that the room would be ready in the morning. Upon trying to check in, the room was NOT ready and we were told there would be another $1000 charge to my credit card! Contacting Morgan took numerous phone calls, but eventually she did answer and confirmed that yes, the room had been paid in full with a $0 balance on our account, however the room was not ready The room was not ready until around 1:30 in the afternoon. We can let that slide, other guests may have left it in an unacceptable state. However, it is now almost 2 weeks after our wedding and we received another invoice for $700 for the room that was supposedly paid in full! In addition, we were told by Morgan that the wedding needed to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the wedding. The bills were paid in full on time and again, we were told there was a $0 balance. We were charged an additional $3500 AFTER the wedding and told this was for a final invoice, which was not explained or mentioned to us in any conversations prior to the wedding.
Peggy Russell was our go- to representative for the day of our wedding. Up until the day of the wedding, she was wonderful. However, the day of the wedding, she was pushy and rude to the point that even our guests noticed. We were rushed for everything, from the first dance, to the cutting of the cake. My poor wife did not have a second to even enjoy the food we paid for. I had multiple guests pull me aside and ask why she was being so pushy and rude, and asked if we needed them to intervene! At our own wedding!

We had an amazing wedding weekend at Hawk's Cay. The staff was so friendly and their team helped make our wedding even more special than we could have imagined. Morgan and Kaila were both amazing.
We "eloped" with two family members in attendance. Everything about this experience was amazing!! The resort is beautiful, the room was amazing. We were treated wonderfully from the time we arrived until we left. The ceremony was beautiful and our officiant was absolutely amazing!! The bouquet and boutonniere were perfect!! The wedding cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious!! Dinner at 61 Prime was amazing, both food and service. My hope is to celebrate future anniversaries at Hawks Cay Resort!!! Far exceeded our hopes for this event!!! Thank you all so much for making this an amazing experience!! From the valet to the person we checked out with, couldn't have been any more perfect for us!!!
Kaila, Morgan, and Peggy were great to work with - making sure all the details of our wedding day were what we were looking for - simple and elegant - All were very easy to work with- and we are so happy to have chosen the location for our special day.
I cannot recommend Hawks Cay Resort enough! This venue was gorgeous. Kaila and Morgan were very accommodating and wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. From planning to wedding day, Hawks Cay Resort made sure everything was perfect for our special day. I felt like they catered to us as the bride and groom, and the wedding as a whole. All family and guests also enjoyed their experience at the resort! Resort staff were all courteous and helpful during our stay. This venue is worth every penny! We can't wait to go back for future stays at the resort! Beautiful venue and great customer service!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Hawk’s Cay. We had a long weekend of celebrations planned starting with welcome cocktails, then rehearsal dinner, the wedding with a karaoke after-party, and finally a farewell brunch. Every single event went off flawlessly thanks to the help of the fabulous Hawk’s Cay team - especially Kaila and Morgan. You’ll pay a slight premium for this location but won’t regret it for one second. Thanks for everything Hawk’s Cay!
We have nothing but great things to say about our wedding at Hawks Cay Resort. Kaila and Morgan were so helpful throughout the planning process, and made sure our wedding was an absolutely perfect. The whole staff at Hawks Cay Resort were so friendly and professional. Jimmy and Marc were very helpful with all of our belongings throughout the duration of our stay. Peggy and her team from Destination Wedding Studio did an incredible job at bringing our vision to life! We can't wait to go back.
We loved that the day of planner was included in the cost through the resort. This meant the planner was very familiar with everything! My resort contacts for the wedding were always very quick to respond and always willing to answer questions. The venue itself was absolutely perfect and food was honestly delicious! Only downside was that every guest that stayed at the resort had issues with the condition of their rooms or condo. As for anything wedding related, everything was amazing!
Kaila made our wedding dreams come true! Literally everything we wanted to make happen she made it work for us. We had a Jimmy Buffet themed welcome party and an 80s themed after party. We used a total of 4 spaces for our wedding weekend and she helped us make all of it happen. She was so easy to communicate with, I really felt like Hawks Cay was willing to do anything to bring to life what we pictured in our heads. We thought we would only have 100 or less guests and ended up closer to 150. They helped us update what was needed from space to food to rooms. The days leading up to the wedding, there was pretty intense wind (like 30 mph gusts) and I felt a lot of pressure from other vendors to move our reception inside. When I asked Kaila it just felt like she was on my side and was honest about when my true deadline for that decision was - thank goodness because the wind calmed down just as we started our first dance and the guests were happy because it felt like natural AC. After taking our sunset photos were were saying goodbye to her and I teared up because she and Hawks Cay really made our dream wedding come true. We had the best time and I wish I could live that week over and over.
We were able to have our dream wedding in paradise! Hawks Cay Resort offers multiple different ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception sites to choose from. My main point of contact at the resort was Kaila and she was absolutely amazing and able to help with everything we needed from start to finish!
Hawks Cay Resort was an absolute dream to get married at. They treated us like royalty. The coordinators Kaila and Ghislaine are so very helpful and friendly. They are highly experienced and wonderful to work with. They were very flexible with us during the planning and always readily available by phone or email. They greeted us very warmly on arrival for the wedding and were present throughout the weekend assisting with anything we needed. We truly felt like family.
The venue itself is amazing. The wedding and reception sites are beautiful. The resort is extremely clean and well kept. It’s large enougj to accommodate large parties. The food is excellent at all of the restaurants and the food at the rehearsal dinner and reception were unbelievable! We used the dinner time as a way to mingle with each table and someone even said it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding.
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married or looking for a nice place to vacation for any reason.
I can't say enough wonderful things about our picture perfect wedding at Hawks Cay. The catering manager Ghislaine, and sales manager Kaila were helpful every step of the way and were always so calming and ready with an answer to our questions. We had a buffet style dinner and our guests RAVED about the food. My grandma literally won't stop talking about it. lol. The ceremony was outside along the water and they closed the entire pool next to us so we wouldn't have any outside sound. Additionally, I love that Duck Key is so small and all of our guests stayed at the resort. It gave us extra time with everyone! I could go on and on, but when it comes to a wedding in the Keys - it's the only way to go!
Had our wedding back in May. We were helped by Ghislaine and Peggy. Both were such a joy to work with! Our wedding plans had to be changed more times than I can count due to Covid. Our original big wedding became an intimate one by the time we found Hawks Cay Resort. We weren’t sure how it would all turn out, but it was truly a beautiful night and experience. The venue and grounds are beautiful, the water is so blue. Highly recommend !
Our Wedding was absolutely beautiful and couldn't have been more perfect! Ghislaine and Kalia were an absolute dream to work with and couldn't have made our experience any better! We ended up having to postpone our wedding twice due to the pandemic and were finally able to get married on February 18th, the made all the trials and tribulations easy! We cannot thank them or recommend them enough!

Hawks Cay Resort was absolutely beautiful! I’m so glad we chose it for our wedding venue. We had our ceremony on the tranquility lawn which had an amazing view overlooking the water! The sky with the water was breathtaking! The cocktail hour was held on the dolphin deck where our guest enjoyed their cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres while watching dolphins swim in front of them in the lagoon! To follow-the reception was in the dolphin ballroom which was so elegant and beautiful. Hawks Cay went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Working with Ghislaine, our catering manager was such a pleasure- she was so accommodating to all of our needs and made sure everything was planned out and coordinated perfectly for us. The food was absolutely amazing as well! Our guests could not stop raving about the hors d’oeuvres and their dinner being so delicious. I would highly recommend Hawks Cay if you are looking for a beautiful spot with great views and amazing food! You will not be disappointed.

We had an absolutely perfect day and it's all because of the wonderful staff at Hawks Cay. This resort is truly a hidden gem and I can honestly say I think its the best resort in the Florida Keys. The service is wonderful, if you choose to have your wedding here they have an amazing wedding package with a tasting where they give you a 5 star treatment. The food is amazing and you get so much for your money. Also the location is absolutely gorgeous! Our wedding day was smooth, organized, and care free. They have the perfect set up and really know how to hold weddings. Room pricing is very reasonable for all the amenities provided on the location. The only cons we experienced were communication via email was slow during their busy seasons, and their check-in staff needs a major face lift....they seem to be confused and my guests had trouble booking rooms and getting information from them, and they were kind of forced to speak with them because the website was often experiencing difficulty. All that aside, this is a magical place and you and your guests will love this venue.
We are forever thankful for Ghislaine and the Hawks Cay team for giving us the most beautiful wedding we could have ever dreamed of. Between the welcome reception, our wedding, and the farewell brunch, we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend with family and friends. The property is new and absolutely beautiful. This venue was beyond amazing for my ceremony and wedding! My guests are still raving about how beautiful the location was and how AMAZING the staff was! But I must say working with Ghislaine at hawks cay was a blessing. She is patient, kind, and very willing to help in any way. She was our go to person at Hawks cay and she made my husband and I always feel comfortable and confident in our choices and decisions as well as providing position opinions. Ghislaine, thank you so much for EVERYTHING you did for us over the last year. You were always on top of everything, always available to speak with me through phone, text, or email. You were willing to help with last minute changes and execute them. The ceremony was on the tranquility lawn and it was beautiful, quiet, and wonderful location. The reception and cocktail hour in the dolphin ballroom was perfect!!! I loved every aspect of it. Thank you again ghislaine!
Nous vivons en Guyane Française (en Amérique du Sud) et avons décidé de nous unir pour la vie en Floride et plus précisément à HAWKS CAY RESORT.
Après avoir passé des heures sur internet à la recherche du lieu parfait et surtout d'un endroit qui pourrait accueillir nos 60 invités tout en leur donnant l'impression d'être en vacances, nous avons donc validé ce lieu.
Ce complexe hôtelier est absolument magnifique! les nombreuses piscines, le lagon, le spa.. les dauphins ..
Nous avons séjourné dans des villas de différents types, la sanctuary avec piscine privée, la Harbor et la sunset.. bref, elles sont toutes superbes !
Le petit déjeuner est copieux, vous avez un large choix et c’est très bon. Le personnel est très agréable et aux petits soins. Nous y sommes restés 3 jours et nous avons réellement tous apprécié notre séjour.
Pour notre mariage, nous avons fait appel à une wedding planner de Paris que nous connaissions, et qui est venue avec une équipe formidable, assistante, vidéaste et photographe. Mais l'hôtel a déjà une liste de prestataires référencés pour vous faciliter le travail. Tout est hyper organisé pour l'organisation du plus beau jour de votre vie :-)
Un grand merci à Ghislaine qui a su faire de ce séjour un séjour inoubliable!!! Nous avons découvert une personne très impliquée, gentille, souriante et toujours disponible.
Notre crainte était le menu, car nous n'avions pas fait de test avant puisque nous vivons sur un autre continent mais nous n'avons pas été déçus. Le menu de notre mariage était excellent et tous nos invités ont été conquis par le lieu, le service et la restauration.
Nous recommandons vivement ce resort!

We picked Hawks Cay as our wedding venue and what an excellent resort. This is an excellent venue and you will not be disappointed. Hawks Cay has everything you could wish for and much more. If you want a perfect location with a beautiful hotel that serves amazing food with friendly staff that your guests will love then book this place.

My “new” husband and cannot stop GUSHING over every part of our wedding weekend at Hawks Cay. Jennifer Tacey, her team, and everyone at Hawks Cay truly, truly made it such an incredible experience from the very moment we contacted them.
The first time arriving at Hawks Cay we were blown away as soon as we walked in the lobby! It was beautiful and it just felt "right." We were greeted with a card, treats, and champagne! It was such a sweet and perfect gesture...crazy how something so simple can mean so much.
We met up with Jennifer later that day and I was so impressed by her knowledge of the property and how she could explain the various options in detail, and how it could all layout to make the perfect day. Of course, we fell in love with everything! We were all in, and I (being a Type-A at times) had a million questions that Jennifer and her team answered with patience and ease. Yes, they deserve a medal for putting up with me.
So, we signed the contract, and we were back at Hawks Cay for our menu tasting. We were again greeted with a card, champagne, and rose petals on our bed! The customer service was insane! Hawks Cay went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. The tasting was out of this world! They did an incredible job guiding us through the entire process. The Executive Chef came and met with us, explained what was about to happen, and kindly let us know that we could change anything that we did not like.
Fast Forward a month (and 2 weeks before our wedding) we are being notified of a Category 5 hurricane (Irma) heading straight for the Keys. One of the first calls I received was from Jennifer at Hawks Cay! There was the eye of a category 5 hurricane coming straight to her, and she called me. Talk about customer service. The aftermath was devastating, to say the least, but during this time we were receiving regular updates from Jennifer on Hawks Cay. We were crushed when we heard Hawks Cay wasn't opening for almost a year and decided to try to look at other venues. We looked but nothing compared to Hawks Cay! FINALLY, we rebooked for October 28, 2018!
The Friday before our wedding, we arrive at Hawks Cay and we were treated like A-List celebrities walking onto the red carpet! Everyone knew our story, and everyone was so thankful that we were back! We were greeted by the GM, Food & Beverage Director, Facilities Manager, Senior Director of Catering and Sales, and so many more staff that had heard our story!
On 10/28/2018 we could not have even dreamed up a more perfect day! There was not one cloud in the sky, the weather had cooled down to a beautiful 73 degrees and there was a perfect breeze to keep everyone cool while dancing. Jennifer sent me a wonderful "Happy Wedding Day!" morning text, and the day just went perfectly from there on. I remember my dad and I getting ready to walk down the aisle and me looking out at the ceremony and it was more than I could have ever imagined! There was not one detail left untouched, and I was stunned. The entire night was perfect, the food was delicious, the setup was incredible, the floating lantern send-off was beautiful!
Jennifer, her team, and the ENTIRE Hawks Cay staff went so far above and beyond! I have never experienced such incredible customer service. I am so proud to be able to say that we got married at Hawks Cay!! We will be back at least once a year to celebrate!

I wish I could give a million stars to the team at Hawks Cay Resort ( and especially our amazing, go-to girl, the woman who made this all happen and had our backs from day one, Jennifer Tacey). After being ravaged by Hurricane Irma in September 2017, Hawks Cay (along with many keys resorts), closed for massive renovations and repairs. Having dreamed of a keys wedding, we looked at many resorts but upon arriving to tour Hawks Cay, even on a rainy Saturday with no possibility (due to construction and fire codes) of seeing the main venue and ceremony area, we knew this was the one. Jennifer, Yunior, and the whole team at Hawks Cay worked so hard to be ready for our wedding-although the resort was set to open in mid-july, due to permits they actually didn't open until almost 2 weeks after our wedding. And yet they managed to pull off the wedding of our dreams. We had our 'wedding weekend' from thursday-sunday, and at one of the pools friday, right before our wedding rehearsal I heard a voice say 'are you the bride?" Apparently they had a construction crew working overtime to make sure my ceremony area was perfect-showing again how they were so focused and willing to make everything perfect. Each and every guest commented how friendly, accommodating and wonderful the staff was-from the drivers who took them to each venue and the chefs and bartenders who wowed them with drinks and phenomenal food. I can't tell you how many people have told me they have never had so much FUN at a wedding, and raved that it was the best wedding they've ever been to--now I KNOW that most people are supposed to say this, but i've gotten the whole "I'm serious, we were talking about your wedding to strangers at a random party, it was the best wedding" 4 times already, so i'm starting to think that we may have pulled off the wedding of a century!!!! Do not hesitate to celebrate anything here, and if you're hesitating about a wedding---DONT!!!!!! Book it, talk to Jen, book Dori for flowers and Courtney for photos and just relax because you're in the best hands. Thank you @hawkscayresort for making it happen. You're the BEST!!!!!!
Our entire experience with Hawks Cay was absolutely PERFECT! From the start of our wedding planning process to the very end, they were extremely helpful in creating a beautiful wedding venue that included every tiny detail we requested. The entire staff, especially our planners (Brennan, Jennifer & Peggy) were amazing! They were always so enthusiactic and happy to make our dreams become a reality. Our wedding took place at the end of August 2017, during the tail-end of tropical storm Harvey and a week before hurricane Irma. We had a 50% chance of rain on our wedding day and we were so worried that the rain would ruin our perfect garden wedding. But thanks to every single staff member involved, they made it their priority to make sure our day was stress-free and just as beautiful as planned. Due to the weather, we had to use our backup indoor venue (which is just as gorgeous as the outdoor venue). They still ensured our ceremony was beautifully decorated with a variety of gorgeous floral arrangements, which made everlasting memories for our photos. And one of the best parts for our wedding guests, was the reception! Hawks Cay’s entire menu was so tasty and delicious. The chefs and their creations were out of this world! Each menu choice included something yummy for everyone to enjoy. We highly recommend Hawks Cay Resort if you want a beautiful wedding that’s free of stress! If it were any other resort, I’m sure our wedding wouldn’t have been as smooth and flawless! They were absolutely wonderful.

Although I booked my venue last and only had the pleasure of working with the staff at Hawks Cay for a short time as result for the build up to the big day - they were nothing less than wonderful from start to finish. Hawks Cay and their staff was amazing! My wife and I decided, shortly before booking hawks cay, that we wanted a smaller more intimate wedding on the beach. We live in Chicago where its still cold in May and the prices are outrageous! We stumbled upon Hawks Cay through various websites, looking for wedding locations on the beach. I cant be any happier that we stumbled upon this resorts site. From the start of the process everyone was extremely kind, and patient with our questions and requests (Ghislaine, Brennan, and Peggy). Once we arrived everyone knew we were the wedding couple and were nothing but courteous.
The ceremony was on the sunset beach location, behind some of the houses for rent on property. It was a perfect location, small, intimate, with sand, ocean, and sunrise behind us. They accommodated champagne on the sand and even though we started late (our own fault!) they had no problems or worries. My wife and I tell everyone that this was PERFECT for us, exactly what we wanted. I have even recommended to some friends of mine. If you are thinking of getting married in the Florida Keys i highly recommend you at least give them an email and call to discuss!

We could not have picked a more perfect place to have our destination wedding! We made a quick weekend trip just to scope the place out once we found it online, and we were blown away by the food, grounds, views, rooms, employees, and just our overall experience! Hawks Cay has so many indoor and outdoor venues, activities, and food options to choose from for weddings - it made our choice quick and simple.
We loved that they already had wedding packages and weekend activities to choose from and lists of vendors they've worked with before - we really felt we were in great hands. Jennifer was our first contact and helped us book our first visit, showed us around the entire resort, and helped us understand all of their package options and pricing. Then, once we signed our contract, Brennan helped us with every minutiae detail that came up, questions we had, and was at every single one of our wedding events to make sure everything ran smooth and that we and our guests were happy. Thank you ladies so much!
We opted for a wedding weekend! Rehearsal dinner the night before in the Ocean restaurant, pool party the day of at the Coral Cay pool, ceremony in the Overseas Foyer, cocktail hour on the Dolphin Deck, reception in the Overseas Ballroom, and farewell brunch the next morning at the Beach Grill.
Our guests are STILL talking about how much fun they had, and many of them are already planning trips back! We're planning on going back for our honeymoon and already envision coming back with our future family!

My dream of a destination wedding was made possible by the amazing staff at Hawks Cay. The entire process was seamless from initial visit to Saturday of our wedding; every concern, wish and question was taken care of promptly. We had our reception at the Coral Cay pool and it was the perfect way to get our wedding weekend started. The reception on the lawn at Beach Grill was more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined and the food for both nights was OUTSTANDING. We had many guests come up to us commenting on the quality of the food throughout the entire weekend (including the pool resturant and Angler and Ale). Our guests are still raving about our wedding a week later and some have mentioned how they can't wait to go back on their own vacation. We are so incredibly grateful to Brennan and the staff of Hawks Cay for making our weekend more than we could have dreamed.

We couldn't be happier that we had our wedding at Hawks Cay! All our guests were amazed at how beautiful the resort was, and continually complimented the food and service. Ghislaine gave us our initial tour of the venue - she spent about 2 hours showing us around even though we showed up at the last minute! We worked with Brennan (catering manager) for all the details of the wedding weekend, and I cannot say enough nice things about her! We honestly could not have pulled it off without her patience, attention to detail, and positive attitude. Our photographer, videographer, and day of coordinator all told us it was one of the most unique and fun weddings they've ever been to - thanks in large part to Hawks Cay and their amazing staff :)

I had an amazing wedding at Hawks Cay. I live nearby so it was not a destination wedding but it felt like one. My guests loved the resort. The options between hotel rooms and villas suited the needs of out of town guests. We were able to have intimate gatherings before and after the wedding at a villa rented by my in-laws. I booked a junior suit at the resort so that my bridesmaids and I were able to get ready with the hair and makeup. The ballroom was beautifully decorated. The cocktail hour overlooking the dolphins was perfect. The staff was attentive. The food was delicious. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner at Angler & Ale. The whole experience was amazing. I would highly recommend Hawks Cay.

Ever since my first visit to Hawks Cay Resort, I knew I wanted to someday be married there. At that time, as a single woman, it was just a dream.
After meeting my now husband, I took him to Hawks Cay on one of our first trips out of town. He, of course, loved it!
After he proposed, I got to work planning the wedding right away. The entire planning experience was very pleasant; from the wedding coordinators to the food tasting to the decision making of different venues for the wedding and ceremony, the wedding coordinators walked with me every single step of the way. Even when I called them with the smallest of decisions that were causing me stress, they were amazing. They guided me, listened to me, helped me and sometimes when I needed it most, led me.
The day of the event was even more beautiful and magical than I could have ever imagined. It was definitely fairy-tale beautiful. I wouldn't have changed one single detail about the entire weekend.
My husband and I are older and have young adult children but realized the significance of blending our families ceremoniously at our wedding. We had a beautiful wedding ceremony at the gazebo that included a sand blending ceremony for our family. That day in June was beyond gorgeous, and everything from the venues, to the music, to the flowers, to the appetizers, to the buffet items and the details of the reception were all my choice. There was no weird pressure to force us into certain choices. We were able to make our wedding exactly like we wanted it.
We had our sunset rehearsal dinner on the Catamaran 'Blue' on Friday night where everyone who attended the wedding was present. Saturday at sunset was the wedding at the gazebo, followed by appetizers and drinks on the lawn, and a full buffet and reception in the Dolphin ballroom. The food was so delicious and our guests laughed and smiled and danced and had the time of their lives. My husband and I still have constant reminders of how epic our entire wedding weekend was when we routinely hear, "Your Wedding was the best wedding I have ever attended, Bar none!"
My only regret is that I only get to do it once in my lifetime, but what a perfect wedding weekend it was! I strongly recommend Hawks Cay as your wedding venue. If I could pick anywhere in the entire world to be married, I'd pick Hawks Cay every single time!

The management and staff (Brennen, Jennifer, Sheldon and many others) went above and beyond when helping us create a dream destination wedding for our daughter. From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to the reception everything was perfect. All our guests had such a great time and said they could not wait to return! Most of our guests said that this was the best wedding they had ever attended. Absolutely every aspect of our daughters wedding weekend was picture perfect! Why We Chose Hawks Cay: In the early stages of planning, the staff, the location options, and the array of activities for adults and families was incredible. It was within budget, they had great food, and an approachable vibe framed in striking island beauty. However, our Northeastern minds operate at a level that differs from "Island Time." There were a handful of moments as people arrived, on the big day, and after the wedding that left a lingering sourness. I attribute most of this to the high amount of turnover in the staff. The woman we met with originally left shortly after we signed our contract, and then our point person changed THREE more times. We stuck it out, but for all the crap we dealt with the week of our wedding, I wonder if we would have been better off changing venues. Speaking with other brides, Murphy's Law is true. Things will inevitably go wrong. We just have high expectations when dropping thousands of dollars on one day and would like to think that the basics of organization and management are met with flying colors.
Bottom line: We made it work. We fought for adjustments to balance out the pricing mishaps and took matters into our own hands where necessary. We joined forces with our bridal party members to make sure the guests had a great time, and by all accounts, this goal was achieved and then some.
Finally, when I look at our wedding photos, I don't see the stress we held those few days, I see beautiful scenery and people enjoying themselves. This is what truly matters.
When my now husband and I took a trip to Hawks Cay Resort last year we knew then that would be our future wedding venue! The whole resort is beautiful, staff is very friendly and they have a great set up for both ceremonies and receptions.
When we got engaged we didn’t even look at any other places, we know that was the perfect venue!
We got married this past Memorial Weekend and we are so happy we chose to have it at Hawks Cay. Most of our guest came from far away, so they loved being to stay there and enjoy all of the amenities the resort offers.
We had our wedding ceremony at the gazebo, it has an amazing view of the ocean, but is still in a grassed area, which was perfect as I and my bridesmaids were heels. The reception was at the Indies pool, which we loved so much!!! It is very private and has a very tropical feeling with all the trees and the bright blue pool centered.
Our wedding weekend was perfect, and we have to say that most of its perfection was due to this amazing and pleasurable location, as well as Hawks Cay’s wonderful staff who was always so helpful through the whole planning process.
If you are thinking about having a wedding at Hawks Cay forget about it. One an half week before our wedding we were told the space was not finished with a renovation by a third party vendor! Ruined my vision! How is it you (Hawks Cay) did not communicate this! The options they gave us were very sub par. If they would have informed us that this might have been an issue we would have booked another venue. They breached our contract and disappointed us with the lack of communication and While not offerring any compensation for our troubles. Upon checking in not one employee assisted us! Too busy chatting. The lack of assistance and the employees do not care! Unhappy employees make for a miserable vacation for your guests! The villa we had was filthy and the bathroom sink practically fell on me! Our guests had issues with their accommadations too: bugs in the villa (EWWW!!!), Internet service, TVs and in house phones never worked! It was so disappointing and embarrassing as we chose this resort and for our guests to run into issues and dirty rooms! Never did we feel like it was our wedding. I've been to many weddings and destination weddings and have seen staff going out of their way to make the couple and their guests feel special. Never had that. We checked out early and stayed at a different hotel and finally for the first time we felt like we were celebrating our wedding. They made us feel so special and wish had our wedding at this other place. It was so disappointing to face these issues. We did have a great bartender Kevin at our wedding. He was awesome! Andrea who serviced us at the pool was great too! That is all the positive I can say. It could be a great resort if they get their act together but for now I woyld not book your wedding here!
The Keys are beautiful! Literally the Bahamas in the US. Hawks Cay was beautiful and clean and very accommodating.
I couldn't have asked for better people to help me with the wedding. They answered all my questions and took care of everything after I made the decisions. It was fantastic. So stress free.
Hawks Cay has everything a destination bride could want-- gorgeous views, a friendly and professional staff, and a great resort to entertain her guests. We have rented a house on Duck Key (where Hawks Cay is located) for the past three years, but our first real experience with Hawks Cay was the wedding. We couldn't be happier! Laurie and her team were responsive to my every question, and very flexible when it came to requests! We even had a few guests with severe food allergies, and they were very accommodating and worked with us in every way! During dinner, our Banquet Captain ensured that we had drinks in front of us at all times and that we were able to eat our food-- which was more than delicious! After the tasting, we had such a hard time narrowing down our choices for the food. They also made a signature drink in my one of my wedding colors, and it was so, so good! Although we may be a biased and think that everything was perfect, every one of our guests that we spoke to said that this was the best wedding they had attended. I would highly recommend them!
We stumbled upon Hawks Cay Resort while looking for a wedding venue near Miami, FL. So happy we decided to go with this Resort!! Our guests are still raving about the experience and we could not have been happier with everything it offered us. Beautiful venue space! We used the Gazebo for our ceremony, the ballroom for our reception and the dolphin deck for our brunch the following day. This is a hotel/resort so they do have certain rules with weddings such as requiring a wedding planner. We booked Peggy Russell at Destination Wedding Studio per their recommendation and we were so amazed by everything! Everyone worked so hard and it showed because our day went by without any mistakes (Thanks Laurie and Jennifer!). The food was delicious, our guests had NO complaints. Overall, very responsive, nice and accommodating!! No regrets at all! If you are considering getting married in the Florida Keys definitely do it at Hawks Cay Resort!!
I appreciate all the hard work that went into making our day possilble. However, I did not like the review of our billing, occuring after the wedding and getting billed an additional $2K. Completely, NOT PROFESSIONAL!

Hawks Cay Resort was perfect for my wedding it satisfied all ages. From 3yrs-73yrs. The staff was amazing. The location of our Ceremony & reception was perfect & Private. Our Brunch the next morning on the dolphin deck was a great ending to a great weekend! We could not have been happier!
Beautiful doesn't even come close to explaining Hawk's Cay Resort. We were lucky enough to spend a week here a month before our wedding & then the entire week of our wedding at Hawk's Cay. We had our rehearsal, our wedding ceremony & our wedding reception here. The entire staff knew we were the bride & groom, & were there to make our experience an amazing one & they sure did! Everyone of the staff would bend over backwards for us if they needed to, they were all wonderful & so kind! The wedding staff in particular did anything & everything they could to make our experience memorable. From personalization they put on everything, amazing rooms, amazing welcome bags & then the decorations on our honeymoon night with more gift bags..it was amazing. The food......FABULOUS!! My husband & I, our families & all of our friends were so impressed & loved everything. It couldn't have been more delicious. We also went deep sea fishing through the resort & had some spa services that we set up through the resort. We couldn't have been more pleased & more impressed with the staff, the food, the restaurants, the activities, the grounds & the resort in general. Perfect, Beautiful, Amazing. We can't wait to go back!
We had never been to Hawks Cay before our wedding, so we were hoping for the best. We were absolutely amazed by the beauty of the resort, the friendly staff, delicious food, and fun activities! Our wedding couldn't have been anymore perfect! We can't wait to go back!
I recommend Hawks Cay for its accommodations and food. I DO NOT recommend Hawks Cay for weddings or events. There was too much that went wrong to write it all down. Overall, it was an awful experience that I do not wish on any bride. The event staff was unprofessional, unprepared, and lacked the ability to make difficult decisions in a timely matter. Here are the highlights.
1. We were offered a ceremony coordinator who was offsite and an onsite wedding coordinator. These two individuals did not communicate and they were horrible at their jobs.
2. We signed up for a wedding package. We were not told that we were expected to contact all outside vendors.
3. Hair and makeup appointments were never put on their schedule. I called the week before to confirm. I was told my party was not on the schedule and the hair and makeup person was on vacation.
4. For dinner, we had beef and fish for our guests. We asked for ONE chicken dish. They were unable to accommodate this.
5. We had welcome bags for our guests. We asked the front desk three times to delivery them. We ended up delivering them ourselves.
6. The day before the ceremony, we went through ceremony and seating arrangements. I made ONE change to seating arrangements. This was never incorporated.
7. During the walk through, rain options were never discussed. A tropical storm was present for the whole weekend. It wasn’t until we were taking pictures before the ceremony was I asked which place indoors I wanted to have my ceremony. I had to send a family member to make the decision. Since the location of ceremony was set up so late, my guests had to help out with setting up chairs.
8. About 15 minutes prior to walking down the aisle, I was asked which way I wanted to walk into the room.
9. Our flowers arrived and we were not notified. A family member saw them at the front desk.
10. The wedding coordinators tried to rush us through the pictures in order to attend the dinner. Our photographer had to convince the coordinators to allow us to finish our pictures.
My husband & I stayed here 4 nights for our honeymoon. We stayed under the hero special & received half off, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it. I spoke with 3 different members of staff and advised it was our honeymoon. We were promised a special gift from the resort which we never received. The staff had ahard time rrecommending restaurants & activities outside the resort & on our last day our room was never serviced. We had to call the desk to request fresh linens at which point they came over an hour later & only changed the sheets, they never checked the bathroom. Was less than impressed with this "4 star diamond resort".
We went to Hawks Cay for our honeymoon. It was a very beautiful resort and the staff was more than friendly. It is very ideal if you and your husband want a relaxing honeymoon. They also have many activies that you can do on site. We did the dolphin experience and the Kayaking both were amazing. Tom's Harbour restaurant had the best nachos ever! We plan on going back again sometime soon.

The place was beautiful! Dont even need to leave the resort you have everything you need in walking(or trolley) distance! Had a few mishaps with our food at one of theyre cafes and our room service. The dolphin lagoon is totally cool. But i learned the hard way, reserve your spot asap!
I had my wedding there in November 2011. If I can save even one bride from the hassle then writing this is worth it. I don't look back on my wedding experience with happy memories. When I called to book in December 2010 I was sent a menu and pricing - ridiculous by the way - but it was a wedding so kind of expected. I put down a deposit, and the next one wasn't for another several months. When I called back to make arrangements for the payment plans I couldn't reach anyone for weeks! No one would return my calls or emails. Finally I learned the lady that I booked with was no longer there, and no one was really sure what the status of my contract was. Then, when we did finally establish another contract and I FINALLY got the room block for the hotels the price had DOUBLED plus I was being charged for 2 site fees even though the ceremony was 20 min, and there was one before it so there was no set up cost. I couldn't get anyone to even take my money so when I did finally get everything settled we were paying $3000 a month becuase it was so close to the date! I could go on and on and on but it was stuff like this around every corner. The actual day was nice, and the actual coordniators were helpful, but it was a huge disorganized messs. The kicker was AFTER I checked out and AFTER I checked to see that everything was taken care of as far as the rooms my husband and I were covering and AFTER I was told that it was fine they tried to take me to collections for not paying $500 of a room tab I didn't know about until 2 weeks AFTER we had left (right around Christmas). It's pretty, but not worth the money, time, or headache for sure.
Side note: Spa service was EXCELLENT. And rehearsal dinner at Tom's Harbor House was very nice and reasonably priced as well.
WOW. I LOVED it at Hawks Cay, the Florida Keys are of course amazingly gorgeous. My husband and I wanted to spend our honeymoon in the keys, our favorite place, but I didn't want to worry with cooking or cleaning and I didn't. The staff was awesome, we explored went fishing spent time by their adults only pool. Can't wait to go back!

You can do all the watersports you want, the spa or just lay by the multiple pools or lagoon!!! Easy drive from Ft Lauderdale (I suggest a convertible!!) and then a short drive to spend at least a day in Key West!!! Definately take a look if you don't want to travel outside the US!!
I could not have asked for a better wedding venue than Hawks Cay Resort. The location is beatiful. We got married outside in a gazebo with an oceanview. The reception was around the pool area. Everything could not have gone smoother. The staff at Hawks Cay was amazing. The food was also delicious. It was a little expensive, but worth the price.

We really cannot explain what an amazing experience it was having our wedding at Hawks Cay. From the initial contact all staff were absolutely amazing. They were all extremely professional and kind; they always responded my calls and emails with in a day. With every single detail they always managed to blow us away going above and beyond what we were expecting. Besides being a breath taking location the food was amazing and the resort as a whole was outstanding. Our guest had an amazing time at the resort; and still rave on how amazing and attentive all the staff were. When it came to the wedding day they made us feel so special and I truly did not have to worry about a thing, they made sure that everything was PERFECT! As my father said (the person paying for the wedding) “I hope my other 2 daughters get married there, Hawks Cay ROCKS!” Our wedding was above a beyond our dreams and it would have not been possible with out the Hawks Cay event planning staff!
The venue was beautiful and the staff was prepared for every situation.
The food at Hawks Cay was Amazing. Our cocktail hour appetizers were fantastic and our rehearsal dinner taco and nacho bar was awesome! Everyone talked about the food.
This venue was stunning. The ceremony was at their gazebo, which pretty much is almost falling into the ocean. One of the prettiest gazebos I've ever seen. And the reception was all out around the pool...Very pretty. Staff was pretty attentive, and everything ran smooth. The whole thing carried over into an after party out in another room not far from the dolphin enclosure. Awesome time!
