Herrington on the Bay

We loved and knew we wanted to get married at HOTB from the day of our tour. We held our rehearsal dinner in the beach pavilion, the ceremony in the garden, and the reception in the yacht club and everything was absolutely stunning. We, our close family, and many of our guests stayed at the accompanying hotel which worked perfectly for getting to enjoy time leading up to/throughout the weekend together hanging on the premises and at the little beach. The food and drinks at our cocktail hour and reception were great. The staff that we worked with throughout our wedding planning process-Lexi, Amber, and Lexi-were phenomenal. They responded very promptly and we very helpful in providing guidance/assistance. Also 11/10 recommend the scallop tacos at ketch22 All of our guests raved about the weekend and we couldn’t have imagined it being more perfect. We would definitely recommend HOTB to others.

We got married at Herrington on the Bay (Aug 2024). We were actually set on booking a different venue in VA, but after touring Herrington and meeting the wonderful staff, we fell in love with the space and knew it was right for us. It is an inviting "hidden gem" in North Beach, MD with stunning views. You can really see and feel the care and attention the owners and staff put into the space. We booked the Garden and Yacht Club for our wedding, but honestly you cant go wrong with either of Herrington's venues -- the Yacht Club or Tent -- both are really amazing spaces. The entire team worked so hard to help us make our perfect wedding day happen. The team has a ton of experience which you can tell by their well run, solid operation -- from all the details of planning to executing the day of -- they left us feeling reassured, confident, and happy we chose Herrington. We are so grateful for Caroline, Taresa, Mallory, Lexi and everyone else for their amazing support. I also cant leave a review without calling out how amazing the chef and food is at Herrington. We were given so much praise for how delicious the food was. Herrington was truly the perfect place for us, and I'm confident it will be for anyone looking for a top notch venue and staff for their wedding.

We just got married at Herrington on the Bay and it was the perfect day!! First, we loved that it looked like a beach oasis in just southern Maryland! We wanted a Hawaii vibe and that is exactly what we got, at the Polynesian Lawn & Paradise Ballroom! From the start our planning specialist Taresa was amazing and always made sure our plan for our food, drinks and overall vision came to life! Next our day of coordinator Megan & our VIP coordinator Amber were so amazing! Not only were they amazing but all the staff that helped partake in our day were truly great! Our day was perfect all because of the impeccable guest service! Not to mention our food was delicious. Our guests have been non stop talking about how good the food was! Overall we are very pleased & would def recommend getting married here if you are looking for a weekend getaway destination wedding but local in Maryland!

Herrington was AMAZING! Especially our wedding planner Taresa and our day-of coordinator Melissa. Taresa worked with us over a year to make sure she nailed down all the details to create the vision we had for the wedding. Melissa handled everything and was on top of all the activities during the event. Never had to ask her to do anything since she was already on it. Also made sure that we were well fed and hydrated throughout the day. Funny enough, one of the chairs caught fire from a decoration and they took care of it without us noticing. Told us at the end of the night. Very Professional. Cannot thank them enough for helping my wife and I have our wedding. 10/10 recommend.

Worth every penny! Herrington on the Bay is an absolutely incredible venue - not only because of its natural beauty from being situated right on the Chesapeake Bay, but also because of its people. From the moment we toured to the end of our wedding day (and after!), we were constantly met with the kindest, most professional team. We were fortunate in that we got to work with Lexy (Director of Design & Planning), Amber (Client Coordinator) and Megan (our Day Of Coordinator) – all of whom are fantastic human beings and truly made us feel like we were their main priority (even though we know they had other weddings on their schedules). Every conversation and meeting felt personal and we felt like we were in the best hands. We chose Herrington because of its beautiful location, but we ultimately were the most thrilled with our decision because of the team and how great they were about accommodating the special touches we wanted to add to our wedding. They were amazing at working with us to add things like an espresso martini bar, our favorite late-night bites (buffalo chicken sliders and shoestring fries!), and the exact signature drinks we wanted (cucumber coolers and palomas!). What’s more, their catering and bar packages offered a ton of great options, and we heard from all of our guests afterward that the hors d’oeuvres, entrees, and drinks all night from the open bar were some of the best they’d ever had at any wedding. To close with some personal perspective on how easy it was to work with the Herrington team and how wonderful they helped make our special day: the week prior to our wedding leading right into the day of had lots of rain and thunderstorms in the forecast, and while fortunately, everything with the weather worked out perfectly, we give all the credit to the Herrington team - they were so flexible with us and worked up several back up plans should we need to adjust the wedding day timeline or space. Every question we asked, they had an answer and every concern, they assuaged. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect - we are absolutely over the moon! If you are looking for a gorgeous place to get married and want to be surrounded by true and kind-hearted professionals, Herrington on the Bay is a MUST!

We were married at Herrington on June 1, 2024, and we can’t recommend the venue enough! Everything was *stunningly* beautiful, as we were blessed with perfect weather, and any hiccups we encountered were resolved quickly and discreetly. The food was incredible as well, and the whole stuff was lovely. While we were disappointed that our original coordinator, Lexy, couldn’t be with us for our wedding day, we were so grateful for her timely responses and endless knowledge throughout the planning process. Megan was very nice and helped to make the day a success despite stepping in for just the last few weeks of planning. Everything ran smoothly because of the stare’s organization and years of experience. We are so grateful for HOTB - thank you!!

We toured Herrington on the Bay and instantly knew we wanted to have our wedding there. The property is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained! Taresa, Katie, and Mallory helped us plan and execute every single detail of our big day and truly delivered! We were beyond thrilled with our wedding and our guests are still raving about the food and views! It was so convenient to have everything for our wedding weekend in one place with the Inn at Herrington Harbour and Ketch 22 (Rehearsal Dinner) close by!

Working with HOB was a seamless and fantastic experience! The staff was SO sweet, helpful, and readily available to answer my emails and phone calls (which was a lot, lol). The venue is GORGEOUS and it was an overall beautiful day. The tasting that they offer for couples who book the venue was so much fun and a great experience! I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else! HOB/Ketch 22 was where my husband and I started our love story, so it was so sentimental getting married there :)

My husband and I had a blast at our reception at Herrington! Lexi helped us to start planning the perfect event, then Brittany helped us to finalize the details, and Megan helped to make sure it was decorated exactly as I wanted. All three ladies helped to ensure that everything went smoothly the day of, even when we encountered some very unfortunate weather. They made us feel like spoiled super stars on our wedding day! If you want a stress-free wedding that will be beautiful no matter the weather, Herrington is the place to go!

While we made a choice to go with a different venue based on our ties to it, I felt the need to write a review based on our exploratory conversations with Christina at Herrington on the Bay. Communication is SO important at every turn on the planning process and Christina is the honestly the best communicator we've experienced in our planning process so far. The venue is beautiful, the ceremony space has the best views, and I have no doubt had we chosen to go with Herrington, our day would've been managed by the on site team as professionally as their inquiry process. Thank you Christina for a great experience, and we sincerely hope our paths cross again for a celebration of a different sort!

I had the most AMAZING experience with Herrington on the Bay for my wedding a few weeks ago on October 8, 2023. First I want to say that Teresa Clark and Katie Briggs provided the absolute best guidance and assistance throughout my year of planning. They left no stone unturned when it came to the details and timeline for our wedding day. Katie made sure that everything was perfect for the ceremony and reception. She coordinated the set-up, the vendor arrival and the wedding party. I don't know what I would have done without her. THANKS KATIE! Teresa held my hand throughout the entire planning process. I'm sure I probably got on her nerves with the may calls and text messages, but she never failed to answer or return my calls in a timely manner. Teresa laid out the entire timeline from our arrival onsite 2 days prior to the ceremony through to the end of the reception. She captured details that I surely would have missed. Taresa, thank you you are a God send.

Taresa was our wedding coordinator and I now consider her a friend. She was ALWAYS there for me and we knew that we could trust her with our wedding. Katie was our day off and I couldn’t say enough great things about them as a team. Every time I needed something, no matter what time, they were there and made it happen. Our wedding was an absolute dream, even with the weather circumstances, and I would highly recommend Herrington on the bay, and the “Katie + Taresa team” to anyone. Thank you so very much and I look forward to seeing more beautiful pictures and celebrations of other weddings that you put together on social media! Wish we could do it all over again!

Teresa and Amber were amazing !!! They made my wedding dreams a reality. I planned on a short time line and they made it all happen. They have great recommendations for vendors they trust. We are so extremely happy with Herrington on the Bay. Lexy & Katie were the best!! Lexy helped with every single step of the planning process. She was kind, attentive and really understood our vision. Katie was so so so helpful the day of. Herrington on the Bay is the most beautiful venue! Our guest were in awe of the views, scenery, table set up .... EVERYTHING! I cannot say anything but great things about this wedding venue!

Where to begin. Not only is Herrington on the Bay a picturesque wedding venue, but the staff was absolutely incredible to work with from the very beginning. Lexy, our venue planner, was a gem of a human. She responded to my many emails in a timely fashion, was extremely helpful, and also just the nicest person. Amber, our day of coordinator, was literally sprinting around on our wedding day to make sure everything was running smoothly - she even helped my bridesmaids bustle my dress. Not to mention - it ended up pouring rain on our wedding day, and somehow everything still went off (outdoors!) without a hitch. It was seriously the most perfect day, and we cannot thank the staff enough. Special shout out to Caitlyn, who was our personal attendant on our wedding day. It was her first night as a personal attendant, and she handled it with ease. We could not recommend Herrington enough.

Herrington on the Bay was wonderful from start to finish. I was immediately sold on the venue after the tour. Lexy was assigned as my "wedding planner" and she was SO so helpful! She was very kind, quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and I felt very supported through the whole planning process including the wedding day. Katie was also involved as our day of coordinator, and Jessie as our rehearsal and ceremony coordinator. Everyone was truly fantastic and did everything they could to ensure the wedding day ran smoothly and beautifully!

Herrington On The Bay not only made our wedding day dreams come true, but also made us feel more than comfortable. Taresa Clark and Amber Hand allowed my husband and I to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy our guests and day. They’re the absolute best team and I could not recommend them or the venue enough.

This venue is 5 stars all around!!! We landed on Herrington after touring a few venues in the area, and although the price point was slightly higher it was SO worth it and one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. Lexy was our POC all the way leading up to our wedding and she went above and beyond every single time we contacted her. Even our wedding planner was impressed by how much Herrington took on. They make it SO easy and she answered every question with ease and grace. She even helped us with vendors. I can't even begin to put into words how amazing and integral she was in the entire planning process. Our day of planner was just as outstanding and the day went off without a hitch! The food is delicious and there's so much variety. Our guests raved about the arepa bar, the crab cakes, and even the tater tot bar. Overall the most amazing and magical venue.

This is an absolutely beautiful venue for any event you may be planning. Brittany was the best in helping us plan our 50th wedding anniversary party and Amber managed the day of details, so efficiently. We can’t say enough good things about all of the staff at this venue, our event was just perfect and exactly what we had hoped it would be.

Herrington on the Bay is definitely the place to have your wedding! It feels like a destination, without having to get on a plane. From the second we went on a tour and booked it for our wedding, we knew we would be in good hands. Everyone is so professional and helpful. We were assigned Marcie as our event specialist and she was absolutely amazing. Although she was helping to plan multiple weddings at once, she always answered all of our questions quickly and was there every step of the way. We were assigned Katie as our day of coordinator, who was also so amazing. She made sure that everything was perfect for us, and once it came to the wedding day we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about anything. Everything went perfectly on the day of the wedding and our family and friends can’t stop talking about it. We wish we could do it all over again, but we will definitely be back to visit!

Herrington on the Bay made our wedding planning so easy! We didn't end up having to hire a wedding planner because they had amazing catering in-house (our guests were raving about the food, signature cocktail, and dessert), a day of coordinator who was so sweet, and a stellar venue (ceremony and reception). The staff there were super responsive and gave us a packet of recommended vendors that we used. Our guests gave us so many compliments throughout the wedding.

Herrington on the Bay is stunning and the staff is just as amazing. From the beginning of our journey with our wedding and connecting with HOB, to the end, was top notch service, easy and smooth, and we felt like we were the only couple getting married there. Two months ago, we had our daughter’s wedding at Herrington on the Bay. It’s taken me this long to puts words to paper that can describe this beautiful venue, and more importantly, the incredible staff! From our first tour of HOB, we realized that this was indeed a special place. I believe because it is ‘family owned’ there is a definite sense of care and attention to detail. Our Event Sales Consultant, Corinne Beylo, provided our initial introduction to the property and what a wedding at Herrington would be like, with venue options based on availability. It just so happened that the Chef was in that afternoon preparing for a Sunday wedding, so we were fortunate to have him join our meeting and then bring us a sampling of appetizers! They were handcrafted with a beautiful presentation. The wedding menu options are endless with HOB, including late-night snacks and options for the cocktail party. Once we signed our contract with Herrington on the Bay, we were assigned a specific Event Manager by the name of Marcie Licker. To say that Marcie was amazing would be an understatement. She was so responsive to our dozens of questions and requests over the six-month planning process, that I honestly felt as though we were her only client! Marcie made suggestions based on her years of planning experience, giving her honest opinion when we needed it. The venue location our daughter selected for the ceremony was the garden location, right on the beach, followed by a cocktail reception on the patio and inside on the first floor of the Yacht Club. It was nice to have these indoor/outdoor options. They had a bar inside and our daughter and her fiancé’s signature drinks prepped and ready to go (which was so nice that people did not have to wait). The dinner was in the top level of the Club, which comfortably seats 150 people. They set-up two bars on this level, which was really nice for crowd flow when people first gather upstairs for the plated dinner. We opted for a champagne toast (and sparkling cider as a nonalcoholic choice) which was very reasonable. The Yacht Club is a beautiful quintessential “New England” Club with white and gray paint, lots of windows overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, and a stunning chandelier that suspends down the center of the building. While dinner was served upstairs, the staff was converting the first floor to the dessert bar and dance floor. It was a seamless transition from dinner to dancing and dessert downstairs. The evening went by quickly, 5 – 9:30 pm, but it was a magical day for our daughter and she said, “this was the best day of her life.” Marcie consistently checked in with us to make sure all was going well and that there were no concerns to be addressed. A shout out to Chef Sarah for the beautiful meal. Everyone loved the food, it was hot, and each table had plenty of servers. The bartenders were fun and courteous, and all blended well with the DJ and photographer. We also hired a Wedding Coordinator, Leslie Jefferson with Wedding Savvy, who was recommended by Marcie. Without a doubt, Leslie was a treasure and worked magnificently with the HOB staff to ensure every detail was kindly care for. If you are considering North Beach, Maryland as a possible wedding location, Herrington on the Bay is magnificent!! #herringtononthebay #weddingsavvy

Herrington on the Bay was everything we dreamed of for our wedding! Every single staff member we worked with was incredibly kind and helpful. Jessie, Lexy, and Zoe did an amazing job bringing our vision to life on our wedding day. Marcie, our event specialist, was truly so attentive and patient with all of our questions throughout the months leading up to our big day as well. Unsure how to write a review that can fully capture how AMAZING the Staff at Herrington is. From our first tour with Kira from the Sales Team we knew that Herrington was where we wanted to have our big day. There are two venue options. We went with the Yacht Club. Though both venues are genuinely stunning in their own ways. Marcie, was our Event Specialist, and made the planning process as easy as possible. She was so quick with communication and incredibly organized. She answered questions promptly, laid out timelines clearly, and was overall just fun to work with! We were fortunate enough to have two wonderful Day of Coordinators, Brittany and Melissa. Who were also just fabulous and so thorough with everything. Unfortunately the day of, we did have to transition to the indoor option last minute due to summer storms rolling in, but these ladies and the rest of the team made sure it was a quick transition from outside to in and it was still so, so wonderful even though it was not Plan A. Charlie, our Garden Attendant, who ended up having to set up the ceremony twice with the switch was also just amazing. Charlie was so sweet and fun to work with. He was willing to help with anything needed the day of. And for any future brides that work with him, he is the king of bustling dresses and will make sure that dress stays up all night long! Our guests complimented how wonderful the entire staff was the night of our wedding. From those mentioned previously to cocktail waiters and bartenders, everyone was attentive and friendly. The food at the wedding was amazing. Herrington has extensive options to choose from, that are all so delicious. They will work with you to create food options that are curated to your taste. Along with the food, the drinks were great as well! With different bar options and Signature Drinks to make sure your bar is just how you would like on your day. I feel like I could go on and on about the little details the team at Herrington did not only on our day but leading up to it that made everything so special. Picking a venue for your wedding is a huge choice, but I genuinely could not recommend Herrington enough to any engaged couple looking for a spot. To anyone on the Herrington Team seeing this, thank you again SO, SO much.

Our experience with Herrington on the Bay was amazing from start to finish! From beginning to end, the entire process was so easy and stress-free and organized. Our wedding was really our dream come true and everything came out exactly the way we envisioned. We chose the Polynesian Garden venue. Our initial tour with Laura was amazing and the food was so delicious that we knew we wanted to book this venue. Lexy was so kind and responsive the entire process and answered all of our questions promptly. Amber, our day of coordinator was also so kind, patient, and attentive the entire process and especially the day of our wedding. She made sure everything went smoothly and perfect! We were extremely stressed out with the weather showing rain all week. Amber was very communicative regarding the indoor rain plan. She sent us photos to show us the options beforehand. Taylor was our rehearsal/ceremony coordinator and she was also really kind. We are so glad we had her because she made sure our rehearsal went smoothly and our ceremony went as planned. The day of the wedding, we had to make the call of indoor vs outdoor due to the rain coming and both Amber and Taylor helped us make the decision, showing us the weather radar and going through options. Luckily we were able to have our ceremony outside like we planned! (Though the indoor option would have been fine too!) Herrington is such a beautiful venue that you do not need to add a bunch of extra decor but there are also options to add on to make the venue even more beautiful. We added on the lanterns which made the venue look SO magical! We also added on the lights on the patio which we loved! Guests enjoyed the fire pit. Our guests raved about: -the food! they said absolute BEST food they have had at a wedding ever! they loved the appetizers and the entrees plus our signature cocktail. we also had late night tater tots plus topping bar which was a hit! -the photo ops! they loved taking photos out on the dock, sunset photos, the ceremony site with the arch. we were so happy guests were able to enjoy the venue and take lots and lots of photos -the venue- they said it was absolutely beautiful. some said they felt like they were in Hawaii with the bay and the palm trees. The staff during the wedding were also great! The bartender was very nice and the wait staff were great. The Inn at Herrington Inn is close by and highly recommend staying there as well in conjunction with your wedding at Herrington on the Bay. They also had a tasting event prior to the wedding where we got to try different appetizer options and dishes and that was extremely helpful in making decisions for our wedding. We just cannot recommend Herrington on the Bay enough! It really was our dream come true and we are so happy that we chose this venue. A HUGE thank you to Lexy, Amber, and Taylor who made our dream come true!

As soon as I toured Herrington I knew that I wanted my wedding to be at the Polynesian Lawn and Ballroom. The views and landscaping were just breathtaking. Taresa our coordinator was amazing walking us through the planning and answering all questions. Katie our day of person was also fantastic she was on top of everything and had it under control I did not have to worry about anything. They made our vision come to life and gave us a dream wedding that both my husband and I nor our guests will ever forget.

Herrington on the Bay was the first venue we toured when we were looking for a waterfront wedding and we’re so glad we chose them! The waterfront is absolutely gorgeous and made for some amazing pictures! The staff were so kind, helpful, and accommodating and ensured that our wedding day went smoothly. From the first moment I stepped onto the grounds of HOTB, I knew this was the place for our wedding! The grounds are lovely and meticulously maintained. The archway with a view to the bay is stunning. From the beginning of planning to the end of our day, the knowledge and professionalism was incredible. What a fabulous and memorable experience. We can't thank HOTB especially Marcie and Katie for all of the planning and hard work that went into making our special day such a success. All of the day of staff were phenomenal and hustled so that all of our guests felt special. Everyone loved the venue! The food was amazing, and we keep getting compliments on the food AND the drinks. The signature drinks were a HUGE HIT and everyone wants the recipe.

When I first visited Herrington on the Bay I fell in love with the venue and instantly knew I wanted to get married here! I did not visit any other venues. HOTB has been professional, classy, and helpful from the beginning. The coordinators Taresa and Amber was very patient with me and always did their best to make sure everything I needed was resolved. I recommend this place 1000% I am still getting compliments about how beautiful the venue and the wedding day was. Thank you so much HOTB!

9/22/2022 THE BEST Day EVER!!!! What an Amazing Venue, and team of Awesome coordinators. I could not nor would not change a thing. I did not have one moment of stress with anything regarding my ceremony and reception. All of my vendors and guest were really impressed with the beauty and hospitality of Herrington on the Bay!

This post is almost a year overdue but I can’t express enough how incredible the team at Herrington is. We could not have chosen a better venue to celebrate our special day. From our very first tour of the venue through the planning and up to our actual wedding day, the team at Herrington took care of us and made the entire planning process as seamless as possible. They truly are the best at what they do!! Lexy was our point throughout the planning process and she is an absolute dream to work with - so responsive, kind and always willing to answer my million questions and offer advice on vendors, design, etc. Ryan was our day-of contact and was also amazing - always staying in touch with us and even helping to pivot last minute when we had a break in the rain so we could still have our ceremony outside. The venue itself is gorgeous, and our guests are still raving about the food 10 months later - everything is sooo delicious. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better team to support us - we only wish we could do it all over again and can’t wait to visit the Inn for our first anniversary!!!
