Our entire experience with Hickory Street Annex was phenomenal. Michelle goes beyond facilitating your event - she provides helpful tips, recommends amazing vendors, and makes the planning effortless. This venue is breathtaking and is the perfect space for couples looking for something other than a ballroom. We would choose Hickory Street again and again...thank you SO much, Michelle and team!
My husband and I got married at Hickory Street Annex June 2023. Not only is this venue beautiful top to bottom, it is at a prime location in Dallas. Our guests were raving about the Edison lights, the natural greenery, and the industrial yet chic style of the venue. Michelle and her staff were very organized in documenting everything we wanted and made adjustments as needed. If you are searching for a stunning venue with the best staff, look no further!
We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at Hickory Street Annex! Michelle was a great communicator, very flexible, and super easy to work with! This venue is so beautiful and has lots of character with amazing Dallas views. Our guests gave us so many compliments on how cool and unique this venue is. There is also a great "getting ready" area that we were able to use the morning of our wedding. Our photos there turned out beautifully, especially with all the spring flowers and greenery. We can't recommend this wedding venue enough!
Michelle and the Hickory Annex team were incredible throughout the wedding planning process. The venue itself was perfect for the wedding. It had the right variety of spaces that facilitated each portion of the evening. We had so many positive comments from the people at the wedding on how unique the venue was and how well it worked. Hickory Annex has awesome views of downtown and really nice outdoor lights lining the surrounding building. Michelle was very helpful on recommendations of what had worked in the past and has a terrific design sense. Everything went perfect from the initial viewing to the contract to the wedding planning to the terrific job of set up for the event. I would highly recommend Michelle and the Hickory Annex team for any event.
We got married here in September, and I could not imagine getting married anywhere else. Michelle was thoughtful and informative and was always available to answer my questions. Everything about out wedding was magical and a big part of that was the venue and amazing staff.
Michelle was professional, and really helpful explaining the cost breakdowns, and helping with any questions we had. She and her team made sure our day was perfect and magical. Super cool venue and amazing staff. Thank you for making our day memorable!
This venue was amazing! We just had my daughters wedding here on May 13th. Beautiful window views of the city, which is breathtaking at night with all of the city lights. The staff were amazing and Michelle was always in contact with my daughter throughout the process. Outside photo ops are endless. Plenty of room for ceremony and reception, and the staff worked quickly during the cocktail hour, to move things around. I would recommend this venue over and over! The price point was right on with all of the other venues that we toured, but you get so much luxury here!
I had my wedding at Hickory Street Annex last October and it was everything I could have dreamed of. First off, Michelle is incredibly responsive. She was ALWAYS available for me to ask her loads of questions (since I've never planned a wedding before!) and she answered back within a day, sometimes within a few hours! Her responsiveness was so helpful. Second, she is beyond organized and a well-oiled machine. She will guide you through all of the details and I never once worried about whether she had everything under control. Third, She also did our lighting and linens rentals, and it was all just so beautiful. I can't say enough about how amazing Michelle is and how stunning HSA is. That place just GLOWS as the night goes on. I had several wedding guests tell me how cool and gorgeous the venue was. Lastly, I thought her pricing was very fair. She walks you through all of the quotes and doesn't hide the ball from you when it comes to invoicing. She was very transparent, which I think speaks a lot about her. She just cares so deeply and made my day PERFECT!
We cannot imagine getting married anywhere else besides Hickory Street Annex. This venue is seriously stunning and has such a great vibe, throughout the entire place. Working with Michelle was such a joy. From the very first time we met Michelle and toured Hickory Street, we knew this is where we would be getting married. The venue is the perfect blend of an industrial/modern atmosphere, mixed with warm touches. We're so glad to have worked with Michelle as she was more than accommodating and made the best day of our life come true!!! Hickory Street wasn't just our wedding venue, but the place we started our lives and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.
HSA was a dream of a venue! We loved the feel of the place, the unique set up of the room and that it was different than what we had seen before. We loved all the windows, the beams and the lighting options. Michelle was very easy to work with and communicate with. Added bonus: she allows dogs! So our pups were able to make an appearance :) HSA will always have a special place in our heart!
Hickory Street Annex was the perfect venue for our wedding. We walked inside and immediately fell in love. It is such a unique and awesome venue in Deep Ellum, and I couldn't imagine a better backdrop for our big day.
On top of that, working with Michelle was a DREAM. She was prompt, professional and just an absolute sweetheart. I am so glad that her and her team were there to help make our day perfect.
Most beautiful and dreamy wedding reception! The space is absolutely perfect and was exactly what I wanted.
We can’t say enough about our experience working with Hickory Street. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful venue, the staff is amazing. Blake and I were blown away by how everything came together. During the stressful time of rescheduling our wedding, Michelle and her team were so accommodating. It was a pleasure working with them and we will never forget the experience we had at the venue and with the staff.
Working with Torie & Michelle was an absolute delight! We have been planning for one year and they have been over the top attentive to our wishes at all times. Incredibly prompt, professional, diligent in all their efforts and incredibly trustworthy. And they are so NICE. How fortunate for us. This venue was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for Caroline & Dylan as they wanted something very unique and this was IT. The sun had just set before the ceremony and the skyline was pretty spectacular with three sides of windows of natural lighting. Afterwards, we went downstairs to the Studio which also had three sides of windows for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The Bride and bridesmaid got ready here too. If one wanted or needed, the original freight elevator was available. Back upstairs and the space had been flipped to have dance floor on one side and seated dinner on the other. This industrial looking space with exposed walls, concrete floor with rustic vaulted beams, and the addition of the Edison light bulbs was so authentic and set the mood for the evening! Just outstanding. My daughter said this venue, lighting, and flowers by Junior at The Garden Gate was her Pintrest page on steroids. Her gratitude for all the special things done for them was evident in how her radient smile. Thank to Michelle, Torie and their team they are the epitome of a job well done! This was my last of three dughters wedding and we went out with a bang.
Our experience at Hickory Street Annex was nothing short of incredible! Michelle and Torie are amazing and were extremely helpful and responded quickly anytime we had any questions. We knew from the start that we wanted to have our ceremony and reception at the same venue, and we wanted everything to be indoors (I don't trust Texas weather), and HSA was a perfect fit. They have some beautiful outside areas for photographs, and I took my bridal portraits there as well. I loved how open and versatile the space is, so it's a great blank slate for any style, color, floor plan, etc. We added some extra lighting for our wedding, and it was absolutely worth it! Their newly updated elevator is so cool, and my husband and I used it for our grand entrance into the reception, which was so fun! Our guests also loved the venue, and we got a beautiful sunset during dinner. There wasn't anything I didn't like about our experience with HSA, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
My husband Mark and I got married here in October 2019 and it was an absolute dream. Going into our very first meeting with this venue, we were of course excited about what we’d seen from photos online and knew it had the modern, industrial vibe we were looking for, but my goodness- we were blown away when we saw it in person and knew then that we’d found our venue. This venue never ceased to amaze us- even down to our wedding day when we entered our reception and saw the Edison bulbs lit at night and it was more beautiful and romantic than we could have even realized.
Now about the venue team- Michelle and Torie are FANTASTIC to work with at HSA. They are so kind, quick to respond to any questions or needs, and honestly made the process for us so smooth and wonderful.
We wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding and that includes the venue- if you’re looking for a romantic, urban, industrial vibe that you can also take and make uniquely your own- this is the place for you. Happy planning! :)
Even though I toured many venues, I couldn’t get Hickory Street out of my mind. I’m so glad we decided to go with them, even though they were the higher end of our venue budget, because this venue has so many great things in one. I knew I wanted a beautiful place with a good variety for photos, and HSA had many lovely corners and buildings and backdrops to work with. Building E (the white one on the inside) is especially gorgeous.
Torie was kind and helpful on my wedding day, helping me out with a table situation when one of my vendors messed up a little. Communication was easy and consistent. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for some industrial beauty in their wedding!
Absolutely love the staff at HSA! Everyone is so easy going but on their game. I also love the feel of the venue and all the windows upstairs! Floor to ceiling windows gives you a little bit of bringing the outside in. I really wanted to get married outside but I was getting married in May and it’s Dallas so let’s be real, it was going to be HOT! I chose HSA because of the location, details of the venue and the staff. I got married in front of the vine wall upstairs to give me that vibe of bringing the outside in. Michelle, Tori and Naomi are the best. I would reach out to Tori and Michelle with a million questions and bounce ideas off of them leading up to my big day and they were always happy to help. They also let me pop in every once in a while when I just needed to visually plan some things out in the space in my mind. I can’t say enough great things about them. Naomi was there the evening of my wedding to make sure everything with the building was good and there to help should we need her. I only have great things to say about Hickory Street Annex! I would recommend this location to any of my friends!
The team that runs events at the venue is phenomenal! As a bride who planned her own wedding, being able to depend on them was such a relief! The venue is such a beautiful blank space, but when the flowers, lighting, tables, chairs, etc. were in place, it truly took my breath away. My guests couldn't stop talking about how great a venue it was and these are people who have been to TONS of weddings!
The venue allowed for optimal natural lighting during the evening, and once turned to night, the adorable lighting options turned the venue into a romantic ambiance. I found this venue perfect for me as I've never been a fan of hotel ballroom or barns, and this completely reflected my tastes and personality. The venue is so beautiful bare, not much decoration is needed to dress it up. There was plenty of room for activities and I actually really enjoyed how easily the upstairs transformed from ceremony to reception. The bridal suite that dualed as the cocktail hour space is just ADORABLE. I was so happy to be in such a well-decorated and comfortable environment while getting ready for my special day and then later to chat with friends shortly after the ceremony. The Hickory team was very patient with me as a clueless bride-to-be and answered all my questions within the day or next. I had a custom backdrop for the ceremony that my father created and they provided me all the details I needed to ensure I could fit the backdrop into the venue. They allow tons of lighting and furniture rental options that really complement the venue’s look. Overall, this venue is different from any I've ever seen, but I think it captured my and my husband's taste perfectly. Thank you for letting us use your gorgeous space for our special day!
This venue was perfect for our wedding day. The open warehouse provides a blank canvas for your day of decor visions. Michelle and her team were great to work with and very stress free. They were all very professional yet personable. I could not be happier with our ceremony and reception location selection of Hickory Street - it was fantastic.
This was the perfect venue for our wedding! It is such a stunning backdrop, and is full service. I actually found it helpful that they had a list of approved caterers to work with. It narrowed down my search, and I got quotes from all 5 and found them to be a variety of price points.
Hickory Street was a dream come true. It was the perfect venue for my wedding. It definitley has the industrial chic vibe to it, and there are so many things you can do with the space and personalize it to your desire. Beautiful venue and very fun and unique at the same time. Michelle and the staff at Hickory Street were SO easy and flexible to work with. I highly recommend HSA for your event!
It’s hard to put into words how AMAZING Hickory Street Annex is. From the staff to the venue itself, it was so perfect. The venue has this beautiful industrial “chic” look to it that makes it so easy to decorate because there’s really not much you have to do! All of the windows add such a great touch. The layout is perfect for having both the ceremony and reception all in one place. So many of our guests have gone on and on about how much they loved the venue. The moment David and I visited the venue we knew it was the one and we are so glad we chose Hickory Street Annex!
If you want a beautiful, unique and show stopping venue, you HAVE to pick Hickory Street Annex. Michelle is such a delight to work with! They have an incredible, affordable, and talented team on site that I highly recommend! Corri Anne (wedding planner) made sure our day was absolutely PERFECT. Not only was she was our point of contact for all of our vendors, but she created our wedding day timeline, gave us all kinds of tips and tricks, answered all questions from family and friends AND made sure we didn't lift a finger on the day of. She's incredible! Amanda (florist) is floral genius. Her knowledge of plants and flowers is unmatched and she completely brought our vision to life! I didn't even know how to describe what I wanted, but she took my scattered thoughts and random inspiration pictures and created an absolute masterpiece. You will NOT be disappointed if you chose HSA and their lovely team to help you create the wedding of your dreams!!
I LOVED this option to hold my ceremony and reception. The feel of the venue was exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The venue was just "ok" to work with and considering I was planning while out of town, I would have liked a bit more attention. This venue is a very solid option if you are looking for something that is very industrial and has a good amount of space. Be forewarned though, you will pay a pretty penny for the venue itself and all the other stuff you want is quite a bit extra (day of manager, lighting, etc). While they do make you choose from their very small list of approved caterers, you can BYOB which is a plus.
Could not have loved this place more. The entire staff at HSA was a dream to work with, they are very professional and know their space and how to work it. It was the absolute most perfect venue for our reception and all of our pictures turned out beautiful. Our elevator entrance (complete with smoke machine nbd) was a huge highlight to the evening.
Hickory street was beautiful. We had the prettiest wedding. The staff was very helpful. The only down side was you only get 5 hours and you have to use some of their vendors, but they offer great options.
Hickory Street Annex was such a wonderful venue for our wedding! We opted to do our wedding on the Sunday of a holiday weekend to capture the lower price - other venues charge their Friday or Saturday night price for holiday weekend's Sunday and so we were so appreciative that HSA did not! The women there were wonderful to work with - easy to get a hold of, quick to respond and incredibly generous. All of the caterers on their list are wonderful, we went with Vestals. The BYOB policy at HSA helped our budget out so much and was incredibly easy! All of our vendors also enjoy working with HSA and so it was a great pick for them too! I'm still receiving compliments from guests on how unique and beautiful (and unexpected!) my venue was and what a great time they had... such a gem! Can't recommend it enough!
Hickory Street Annex was an AMAZING reception venue for our wedding! It's a stunning location that provides a causal, yet elegant setting for a reception. The staff was awesome to work with- Michelle did a great job arranging everything! From the beginning, she was very attentive and quick to respond to emails and questions. When we saw the decorated venue for the first time, it was everything we had envisioned. The lights, linens, and set-up tuned out fabulous!
We are so happy we chose Hickory Street to celebrate our wedding- the memories we made there will last a lifetime!
The venue was absolutely beautiful, but it is pricey. I was not fond of the fact that we could only use their expensive caterers. The venue itself was wonderful.
Let me tell you, the people that run and manage Hickory are so incredible! They helped made my day to be even more special than I could every have thought.
The venue was urban and vintage, and absolutely gorgeous at night! We had lights strung all over ceilings and large Edison bulbs hanging from the ceilings.
I could not have gotten married any where else. Such an amazing and smooth experience for my husband and I. If we ever need another venue, this will be the first place to go!
Hickory Street Annex was the perfect backdrop for our special day. Amanda and Michelle were a pleasure to work with. Both ladies are on top of their communication game. We always received a response in a timely matter.
If you're looking for a blank slate, this is the place for you. It is filled with exposed brick, charm, and you can even see the Dallas skyline!
I would definitely recommend HSA to anyone! Our day was perfect and HSA played a big role in that!
Our wedding was absolutely perfect at Hickory Street Annex. We had the ceremony and reception held there and both were absolutely beautiful. The venue has a cocktail space available to use downstairs during the breakdown from ceremony to dance floor, with reception already set up prior to ceremony start. Michelle and Amanda were so wonderful to work with...very responsive and willing to work with you throughout the entire process as if your wedding was the next upcoming event, regardless of how far away your wedding is. The entire night was magical...thanks to the wonderful backdrop :). Also, this venue is perfect for anyone that doesn't want to take a chance on weather...our wedding weekend had 100% rain forecast the entire weekend, but it did not effect us at all as they have a HUGE & super nice space for the bridal party to get ready in and another space for the groom and groomsmen to get dressed in. With the ability to get ready there and to have both the ceremony and reception there, rain was not even an issue. The lighting coming in from the windows actually ended up being ideal for photos (the space has so many options to take photos in), so the rain had 0 impact on our day. Overall, all guests were absolutely in love with the venue. I highly recommend using this venue for your big day!
We had our ceremony and reception at Hickory Street Annex (I wanted an outdoor ceremony and searched and searched for a venue that would accommodate a ceremony only with no luck!) We chose this venue because it was a perfect compromise of what my now husband and I wanted in a venue. He wanted a little rustic not so polished vibe and I wanted tons of windows and a blank canvas to work with. Michelle and Amanda are great to work with. I loved that we were able to chose our caterer. We chose CN Catering and received so many compliments. Their food was great. Also, being able to bring in your own alcohol is a huge money saver! We were also able to chose the florist (Stems of Dallas), whom they let hang arrangements from the ceiling to create the garden ceremony I'd always wanted. :) The room flip from ceremony to reception went perfectly and when everyone came back up from cocktail hour and the sun was setting and the chandeliers and candles were shining, it was just stunning. The wood wall and the LOVE sign in the bridal area/cocktail area is a perfect backdrop for so many pictures! We had just over 200 people at our wedding so the cocktail area got a little crowded, but the wraparound porch was perfect and we had perfect weather! The only issue we had was not being able to take many pictures outside because the grass was soaking wet, they had just run the sprinklers. Our wedding was perfect, everything we wanted and I have to say it was hugely part to Hickory Street for being such an awesome venue.
We looked at around ten other venues before we found Hickory Street Annex. As soon as we walked in the doors we fell in love. The ladies were great to work with and the venue was gorgeous even without decorations. The night of our wedding was amazing. We wanted that Dallas feel and you definitely get it here. Our guests were amazed with the view of the Dallas skyline. Everything went flawlessly all night and we could not have asked for more. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
We had out wedding at Hickory Street a little over 3 weeks ago and it was absolutely lovely! This is such a unique venue that is awesome for a ceremony/reception all-in-one! There is a super awesome elevator that you can enter the ceremony from (thats what sold my dad). The architecture is amazing and this place doesn't require many decorations because of how beautiful it is! Lighting is the key here and it adds an amazing romantic feel! It does cost extra (and thats where it gets super expensive - cafe lights, chandeliers, spot lights, etc.) but totally worth it when you look at the pics. Love this place and everything about it! In the end its worth the price :)
Quality of Service: 5/5 - Venue price varies considerably, and I researched a dozen places to hold our NYE wedding. Hickory Street was a little on the pricey side, for the space, but it gave us flexibility everywhere else. The services Amanda and Michelle provided were top notch- space for us getting dressed, kitchen space for our caterer, a TON of different floor plans and ideas, plenty of time for our event, and so on. Everything was laid out for us - there were no hidden costs. Granted, rentals of linens, chandeliers, lighting, etc. can add up, but it isn't a cost you're forced to pay.
Responsiveness: 3.5/5 - My only complaint was that aspects of the interior space were dramatically changed that I had no knowledge of. For example, the groom's suite was turned into extra kitchen space. I had actually looked forward to utilizing this for the wedding, and that was one of the big reasons for deciding on HSA for our venue. They did change the chivari chairs and drapery, but honestly, these were upgrades.
Professionalism: 5/5 - Michelle and Amanda were always a pleasure to speak to, either by phone or email. Even as their busy season ramped up, they always made time to answer my questions.
Value: 5/5 - How many reasonably priced venues in downtown Dallas can you find that have such few restrictions, while catering to a large number of guests? Very few. We weren't stuck using their over-priced bar or caterer, and they worked extremely well with my coordinator, DJ, and caterer, and on a HOLIDAY.
Flexibility: 5/5 - When we signed, they had a larger selection of caterers to choose from, but those choices were more than enough. We could use our caterer's bar services, instead of most venue's overpriced bars. They made every adjustment possible so that we could utilize as much of the space - like the elevator for my 'entrance'.
Overall, it's a great space for that industrial feel. I always recommend HSA!!
This venue was exactly what I wanted for scenery on our special day! Since the building was built so long ago, the vintage vibe you get makes it easy to decorate. If vintage romance is your cup of tea, Hickory Street Annex is definitely worth looking into!! If I had to do the whole thing over again, I would still pick this venue. :)
HSA is such a beautiful venue. I am so glad I chose to have my wedding there. The owner, Michelle, was very responsive and great to work with. The venue is so naturally beauitful, you can get away without as many decorations as you would need at other venues, and it looks incredible with the curtains open, especially at night. The venue doesn't come with a whole lot, just tables and chairs, but that's okay. I do feel that it's overpriced, especially on a Saturday ($7,000), but I loved the venue so much that I changed my wedding date to a Monday and saved $4,000 that way. There's a couple extra fees, not included in the prices you see online. There's a $300 cleaning fee and a $300 security fee, so that's something to note. All in all, it's a gorgeous venue that can hold about 200 guests (barely, but it can be done) and still maintain a very intimate feel. If you can handle the price, I highly recommend it.
I was looking for a reception venue that was different. Lots of my guests were from Dallas so I wanted a place unique and something most had never been to. I loved how I could make this venue into my own by adding touches that turned it into my country chic with a city feel. I got to do my bridal portraits there as well and they turned out great! Everyone was impressed with the venue and I couldn't imagine having my wedding reception anywhere else!
I had an amazing experience using HSA for our Reception venue. They are reasonable and flexible when it comes to vendors, rules, etc. They make things easy on you by supplying tables and chairs and having an in-house lighting company. Overall, they were a great place to have a ceremony and/or reception. I couldn't imagine having our reception anywhere else!
Hickory Street is absolutely stunning! Everything about it was amazing! It photographs so well and offers to much beautiful natural lighting! Our guests ranted and raved about how unique and beautiful the venue was! We loved it!
I was recently married at Hickory Street Annex and could not have asked or wished for a better experience! The venue is was a beautiful loft space with windows around almost the entire space with views of downtown Dallas.
Michelle and Amanda were extremely helpful and replied to all emails on a prompt basis. Michelle also let us have our rehearsal on the lawn the night before the wedding as well as being able to drop off alcohol and decorations the night before. The evening of the wedding we were supposed to have our ceremony on the lawn, but when it started raining June, the on-site coordinator for the night, began setting up the inside to move the ceremony from the lawn to the inside.
If I had to do it all over again there would be no hesitation in booking Hickory Street Annex again.
Such a great venue for a wedding. Easy to work with and within my budget. Loved the paper lanterns, lights, concrete floors with exposed brick.
We got so many compliments on the venue. It was such a Texas gem. High ceilings, wrapped beams with twinkle lights, a blank canvas to do what you want, plus the freight elevator bar is so cool.
The only thing is make sure you have a coordinator because they really only have a facilities person to turn on and off the lights. You really need a person to come in and run the show.
We had already decided to get married at a very traditional church, and we wanted a reception venue we could make over to exactly our vision- Hickory Street Annex was it! They were so accommodating about any change I wanted to make as well as they offered great security, valet, tables, chairs, and Michelle was great about getting in touch with me. I am such a picky bride, and I loved working with this team at Hickory Street. No matter what vision you have for your wedding, Hickory Street Annex can make it a reality.
The Hickory Street Annex is by far the coolest place to have a wedding. It's an urban warehouse that you have complete control of decorating. Michelle is AMAZING and so sweet to work with. I can't tell you enough how wonderful everything turned out and can't wait to get my wedding pictures back.
Hickory Street Annex was amazing! We booked and used them for my wedding on Saturday April 28, 2012. We had around 200 guest for our wedding reception only. Michelle and her crew worked with me directly and we had no issues, the venue was beautiful and was above and beyond my expectations. If my husband and I were to do it all over again we would still go with Hickory Street!
This is a wonderful, artsy, industrial loft that is BEAUTIFUL at night making a perfect location for a wedding reception. The owner, Michelle, is easy and nice to work with. I took my bridal portraits here, also, and LOVE the look I got. Everyone complimented us on the location saying they especially loved the view of Dallas from the floor to ceiling windows. My husband and I thought everything was perfect!
I searched and searched and could not find a place that I really wanted to have my wedding reception until I came to Hickory Street Annex. I actually changed my wedding date so that I could have my reception here. It is unique and has the vintage vibe to it. Michelle is the person that I worked with for everything and she was wonderful. She always responded the same day I sent an email out, and let me come down and look at the space whenever I needed to. She was very helpful with decorating suggestions and tips, and also working with my wedding planner. She is awesome!!! Hickory Street Annex is a great and fun place to have your wedding recption. I highly recommend using it for any bride that is looking for a different and fun place to celebrate there marriage.
We had our wedding at the Hickory Street Annex back in April and it was absolutely beautiful. Our personalities were too edgy for a ballroom feel and this was perfect. it was so cool to be able to see the lit streets out of the older warehouse windows. the exposed brick, ceilings, and shaft elevator give the space so much character. We had tons of people complimenting the location all night. It was such an awesome venue! They also help you with valet parking and security.
The space is amazing and Michelle is awesome too! She always responded to my emails if I had any questions and she was super helpful!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Annex just a few weeks ago! Michelle, the woman who runs it, was SO helpful with all my wedding questions and let us come to the venue several times to check it out! They have a list of caterers you must choose from, we chose CN Catering and had rave reviews from all the guests! The food was incredible, I'd definitely recommend them. At $3500 for a Sunday, I thought it was a little expensive, but the atmosphere was so beautiful, and the fact that we were able to have the ceremony on one side, and the dinner on the other, and a big chunk of time in there, I think it was worth it! All I can say is - check out photos online and go see it in person! It will definitely sell itself :)
A few small details about the venue - there are stairs to get upstairs but the freight elevator can also be used if necessary, since they use it for the vendors to get all their things upstairs. I had knee surgery two months before the wedding and stairs were still iffy, so I used the elevator several times during the day! There are some little shelves when you walk inside downstairs that are great for a photo display. Upstairs there are restrooms, and two rooms which we used as a bridal lounge and groomsmen/groom's room! The bridal lounge even connects to the ladies restroom which was nice!
Michelle will move the lanterns that are hung to be however you like! We did a cluster of white on one side of the room (ceremony/dance floor side) and the dining room side just did lines hanging from the trusses, which also have white christmas lights hanging on them - it's VERY pretty at night :)
