We had great communication leading up to our wedding with our DJ Keith. But when the time came, he was disengaged and messed up a lot of our song requests, including a surprise dance with the kids. He also played some incredibly depressing music choices during cocktail hour. And he helped himself first to the buffet before any of our guests got to eat. He also introduced us to the party but mispronounced our name badly, which is almost impossible to do and we talked about it ahead of time. When the dance party finally got started it was really fun, probably because he was playing our requests at that point. He did show up on time though.

We were so lucky to have found such an amazing wedding DJ from Hill Country DJ. From the very first meeting, Keith Jones was professional, organized, and had a clear understanding of the type of atmosphere we wanted to create on our big day. He even had fantastic ideas for our timeline and ways to keep things running smoothly. On the day of the wedding, Keith did not disappoint. He kept the dance floor packed all night and had a great sense of what songs to play and when. His energy was contagious and the transitions from each part of the night were perfect. In addition to being an excellent DJ, Keith was also a pleasure to work with. He was always prompt in responding to emails and phone calls, and he went out of his way to make sure everything ran smoothly. He played our must have songs, and left out all the songs on our do not play list… Something that sounds so simple, but was really important for us. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding DJ than Keith Jones and we highly recommend Hill Country DJ to anyone in need of a top-notch professional for their event. Cedric did an amazing job at our wedding! Almost ALL of our guests were dancing and having a good time, which says a lot about how Cedric read the crowd and kept the right vibes going throughout the night. He also made sure we stayed on schedule with all of the toasts and dances, which we really appreciated!

I didn’t have a great experience.

We had a friend who went to a wedding where Erik was the DJ and she said that it was the most fun wedding she had been to. When it came time to book a DJ for our own wedding, we requested Erik, and he was everything our friend said he was! From the first consultation to our wedding day, Erik was professional but also so fun! He wanted to make sure that our day was everything we wanted it to be, and he did such a great job bringing our vision to life! It can be scary booking a DJ because it's the one vendor that you can't trial beforehand, but I couldn't imagine a better wedding DJ. He did a great job choosing/mixing songs throughout the reception, and he kept our dance floor crowded all night long! I can't say enough great things about working with Erik, so this is your sign to book him too!

We hired Hill Country DJ for their DJ services as well as photobooth and had a great experience! Cedric was amazing and even had a Skype meeting to go over song choices and to get a general vibe of what we wanted for our wedding experience. Would highly recommend!

Cedric was an absolutely incredible DJ. During the 2 week planning meeting, he was professional, courteous, and made me feel right at ease. He handled my parents jumping on the call and making their own requests perfectly. Cedric did the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He followed all of my directions to a T - the ceremony was gorgeous and he mic’ed our officiant. Toasts also went perfectly with his cordless mics. He read the room like a book and had the whole crowd dancing to our favorites, which was 2000s hits and Latin bops for us. He knew how to MC our dollar dance, father/daughter, mother/son, and never took the spotlight away or acted like a club DJ. He just played great music and kept the party going. Everyone danced all night.

Erik was the DJ for our wedding and we could not recommend him any higher! He was SO easy to talk to and gave great suggestions for songs when we had decision fatigue in the last few weeks before the big day. Several guests complimented his work & he really kept the dance floor buzzing all night!

We hired Erik and he was fantastic! He had so much energy and accommodated our many requests - including assisting our family member in playing her instrument during the ceremony. Would highly recommend him!

We hired both our DJ & videographer from Hill Country DJ. Cedric did so great as our DJ. He really listened to what we were planning with music, and went out to look for songs that we really wanted to be played. Everyone had a blast dancing, and that’s all due to Cedric. Hill Country DJ in and of itself was a wonderful company to work with. Highly recommend! Vinnie (our videographer) was so great! We met with him before and he really listened to anything we wanted or didn’t want in our video. The video came out beautifully and very quickly too! Vinnie captured a lot of great moments, and it’s clear he is not only a professional, but also someone who truly enjoys what he does. Highly recommend!

My husband and I hired Hill Country DJ for our vow renewal celebration and they were top notch throughout the entire process. COVID forced us to reschedule our party twice and the team at Hill Country DJ were understanding and easy to work with through what I know must have been a tough time for them. Diane was a fantastic communicator and Erik kept the dance floor bumping throughout the night. Several of our guests commented on the fact that they had never seen a DJ with such great energy who was having as much fun as the rest of the party. They have a really cool website portal that allows you to send your music requests and event details before hand - it made the planning process fun and easy. Erik did an excellent job at our wedding. He meet with us the week prior and tailored all the music to our style. Also, he was able to be flexible when the wedding had to start later.

DJ Erik was a phenomenal DJ at my wedding this past weekend! He knew how to read the crowd well, took song requests and his MC skills were great!! You can tell he truly loves to DJ and was energetic and dancing the entire night. The ceremony music was perfect and the lighting for the reception was an added touch! DJ Erik at Hill Country DJ was a great DJ! He kept our dance floor FULL all night long at the reception and played all our crucial "must plays" throughout the evening! He did a great job seamlessly blending all the songs on my pre-planned spotify playliust that I had given him ahed of time as well so that the music was spot on for what we wanted throughout the night . He also helped keep our wedding timeline on track as well. Erik was a fun and nice guy with who we enjoyed communicating throughout the wedding planning process. I definitely would recommend for all future parties and loved ones weddings, he will keep your party lit!!

If you want a DJ who is extremely professional, talented and flexible - hire Hill Country DJ. You will not regret it! We worked with Anthony, the owner of the company and our DJ for our wedding night. Throughout the entire planning process, Anthony was able to follow up with us and make sure we had all of our song selections ready to go for wedding day. The month leading up to our wedding was a stressful one, as we were so busy planning last minute details, but Anthony was so patient with us. He had no problem accommodating all of my last minute song changes (and I had several!) We met with Anthony virtually a week or two before our wedding and he guided us through our song choices. He gives you the option to choose songs for your reception playlist, but that was a challenge for us, so instead he just asked us what genres we liked (and didn't like) and went from there. On our actual wedding day, Anthony's song choices were perfect! He has a great way of reading the crowd, something you can only find in a true professional, and our dance floor was PACKED the entire night. I also have to mention how flawless our wedding ceremony was. Anthony was amazing at blending our ceremony processional songs perfectly so that 1) our family, 2) our bridal party and then 3) me and my dad's walk down the aisle was just beautiful. No awkward pauses or lapses in music. Everything was just a dream, and I will recommend Anthony and Hill Country DJ over and over again!

DJ Erik was the best! He really kept everyone dancing and was a great emcee. We had a meeting a couple weeks before the wedding, and knew that he was super organized. Everything was exactly as we wanted!

Hill Country DJ stuck with us through the pandemic and our daughter's rescheduled wedding. Cedric did a great job doing the sound for the wedding service and provided non-stop music for the reception. He handled the DJ job just how our daughter and her new husband wanted him to. We hired Hill Country DJ from the list of approved Vendors at our venue. We had Nick as our DJ and he was wonderful to work with! We met with him ahead of time to ensure we were all on the same page before hiring, and it was wonderful to see how prepared Nick was, and how laid back he could be! He also suggested our coordinator (Mockingbird Lane Events). The two of them worked so well together, it was like a well-oiled machine! About a week before the wedding, we virtually met with Nick to go over final details and ensure he had pronunciations of everyone's names correct. He made us feel at ease, and ensured us that he would be looking to us, and our coordinator for any cues or needs. When there was an empty dance floor, he immediately adjusted to a new song to get people up and dancing. He checked with us prior to our wedding day about styles and types of music that were goes and no-goes. Nick was truly a joy to work with! The company has a wonderful website where you can put songs you love, hate, or are "eh" about, to help guide tastes of music. They also address general timelines, and specific songs for everything. It was all very user friendly and so easy to work with!

We connected with Diane, the office manager, in Jan 2020. She was quick to respond and answered all of our questions. When we had to make the tough decision to postpone from Aug 2020 to Jan 2, 2021, Diane was extremely understanding and without question worked with us to make sure the DJ with initially booked was available. DJ Erik was the absolute best! He made sure to connect with us and allowed us to communicate all that we envisioned for our night. Every one of our guests from all ages and backgrounds, had the absolute best night! We had sweet modern RB love songs for the ceremony, took it back to upbeat Motown and classic soul/RB for cocktail hour, toned it down during dinner to make the best vibe as we enjoyed our food, and the switched it up to Pop, hip hop, 90s, and per guests requests Tejano and a little country! The music flowed and we vibed! Thank you DJ Erik!

We had our wedding 11-22-2020 and we’re so glad we chose Hill Country DJ to DJ for us! He was super professional and very prompt on emails. A couple weeks before the wedding he made sure everything was squared away with song selections and types of music we wanted playing during the cocktail hour/dinner/reception and played exactly what we were looking for. My husband was very indecisive on his mother-son dance and I think didn’t even pick until a day or two before the wedding and our DJ was very understanding and made sure he got it for us. On time and very nice!

What a night! Our wedding day/night had many requests and Cedric came through perfectly every time! Nick and the other staff at Hill Country DJ are AWESOME!! We had used Nick and Hill Country DJ for my other daughter's wedding in December 2019 and like him so much that I requested him again. It is a crazy pandemic time and people were hesitant to dance. He knew exactly how to read a crowd and we added some fun games and other activities. It was great! I would highly recommend this company to entertain at your event. They are very affordable and can add on things as your budget allows.

Floyd was the DJ for our wedding and he did an amazing job. He set up a meeting a month or so before the wedding to get to know us and get to know our musical style. Hill Country Dj uses a software that allowed us to add songs to a like, love, or do not play list which made it so easy to choose what we wanted. Floyd knocked it out of the park the day of. Our guests are still commenting on how much fun the reception was. 10 out of 10 recommend hiring them.

DJ Cedric was AWESOME!!!! We did a phone conference call with him a few weeks before our wedding and had a couple of odd requests that he accomodated so well. He even had all the swing dancing songs I wanted to listen to! He's an excellent mixologist, and made our reception so fun! Everyone was dancing until the last song!

Nick from Hill Country DJed our wedding and made sure everyone got out on the floor throughout the night. Nothing could faze him and he easily transitioned our dance floor from classic country to Lizzo to Blink 182. We met with Nick in the weeks leading up to the wedding and he asked so many questions to be sure he had all of the right music for us and knew which songs we wanted for each special moment. We had a lot of songs that we knew we wanted saved in Spotify playlists and Nick was very accommodating and found and downloaded our playlists before the day-of to be sure he could have those ready. Nick was very thorough about checking timeline details, family name pronunciation, and the timing of songs we were playing a certain moments. My family and friends only had great things to say about him and the night.

We used Hill Country DJ for our wedding in March of 2019, and Nick was our DJ. He did such a great job! We met with him before the wedding to discuss specific details and events that we wanted in the reception. He was receptive to all of our ideas, and we definitely felt like he understood the kind of music we were looking for during the dinner and dancing part of our reception. He was flexible and open to all of our ideas, including the Grand March (such fun!). I sent him a long list of some of the songs I was hoping for during the dancing part of the reception, and he did not disappoint! He was good about reading the audience and played the songs that were best received for that moment. And it showed! We had an awesome reception with great dancing, which is exactly what we were hoping for. We've had so many guests tell us after the fact that we had a really fun wedding, and a huge part of that was thanks to Nick. We definitely recommend working with Nick and Hill Country DJ!

We had Lloyd as our DJ who was awesome and receptive. Very nice to communicate with and a very nice dresser. Read our crowd well. We aren’t big dancers so we bounced a lot between some dance music and some background music! Thanks Lloyd!

DJ Floyd was amazing! He kept the party going smoothly and helped tremendously with our timeline! Everyone gave us compliments on our choice! We got to meet with him before the wedding to discuss our song preferences and styles we liked and didn’t. My friend is engaged and is looking into booking him for her wedding!

Cedric was our DJ. We booked him extremely last minute (literally a week before our wedding). He made sure that he had plenty of the music we wanted and the songs I wanted played for the ceremony/reception. Our ceremony area was outdoors and it was not supposed to rain... but it did! As soon as I was walking out, the rain started pouring. He had to get his equipment inside pretty quickly so the ceremony music had to stop, but he jumped on the mic and sang “here comes the bride” & all of our guests joined in. It was perfect!

We had DJ Nick at our wedding and he absolutely rocked it! Our dance floor was packed all night!!! all we can say is thank you thank you thank you!

DJ Floyd was our best compliment for our big day! He was very professional, flexible, and very easy to work with. The whole process was a breeze with his online system, and as we got closer we had a conversation over the phone (since we lived out of town) regarding our wedding details and schedule. He is wonderful at his job, and making you feel confident in your choice with his business. I would definitely recommend him to my closest friends and family.

DJ Cedric completely blew us away. He made sure every music detail was covered when we met with him before, and helped us work through the little things. He listened to what we wanted, and executed perfectly. People were going crazy over the music! His announcements were also perfect, and he made sure all the mics were perfect before hand. We worked with Cedric, who provided us with outstanding service throughout the planning process and during our wedding. We had no technical issues during our ceremony or speeches, and the sound quality was perfect for the space we used (Springdale Station, indoor ceremony and reception). I had multiple friends come up to me to comment on how amazing the song selection was during our reception. DJ Nick did a great job with our wedding reception! The online system made it easy to communicate a timeline and give him our song preferences. We were able to face-time with him 2 weeks prior to iron out all the details. He was super easy to work with and reliable. All our guests had a great time dancing at our reception!

I read all the reviews for Hill Country DJ and prayed I would get DJ Floyd and did I ever!!! I recommend DJ Floyd who was absolutely spectacular & amazing from start to finish. I met with Floyd in Austin, and knew immediately I got the flawless diamond of all DJs! He thinks of everything. All the gaps were closed and the wedding was flawless. We started with a cocktail hour to everyone’s surprise and the volume was so perfect. Floyd completed all sorts of sound checks to ensure perfection for the ceremony. He has the voice of a movie star so the announcements were clear and the timing was precise. DJ Floyd kept groups of people on the dance floor with a variety of music from 50s to today’s music. All my guests young and old said the music was perfect and the wedding was an absolute blast! I could not have had such a successful, well planned, talk of the town(s) wedding without DJ Floyd. He is professional and the epitome of DJs who also comes with a 5 Star recommendation from all 130 guests along with my husband and I. Thank you Floyd for the night of our lives! A dream wedding come true!

Floyd was wonderful, we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! He was so professional and knowledgeable of the timeline and songs to play. DJ Floyd was incredible. He provided the music for our ceremony and dancing, as well as the microphone for our speeches. He also MCed the event throughout the night. DJ Floyd is super organized and we felt very well taken care of as soon as we met him at the pre-wedding meeting. He takes your broad ideas on the music and turns them into a dance party all your guests can access and enjoy. We received a ton of positive feedback from our guests and everyone had a great time at the wedding.
