considering music was one of the most important parts of our wedding. I made it extremely clear during planning that I’m a huge music person and had very specific requests. I spent hours filling out planning documents, curating playlists, and even going through the 200 most common wedding songs list crossing out all the songs we absolutely did not want played. Despite that effort, many of those exact songs were played anyway. He also completely missed our first dance by going straight into reception music instead of starting the song we had planned. When we tried to correct it, my husband and I were left standing awkwardly in the middle of the dance floor while he searched for the song. He insisted he didn’t have the correct version, which wasn’t true. I had to walk over to the booth myself, find the song on his system, and point it out to him so we could finally start. It was incredibly awkward and not the moment any couple wants during their first dance. Other issues included, ignoring our “do not play” list, refusing requests from close family members, arguing loudly with our wedding planner in front of guests, playing our requested last dance song randomly during the reception, then ending the night with “Don’t Stop Believin’”, which was explicitly listed as a DO NOT PLAY song. Right before our private last dance he even came over to ask if he had the correct song available, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. The only part of the music that went well was cocktail hour, because it was simply my Spotify playlist playing straight through. At the end of the day, I could have run Spotify myself and had a better outcome while saving the money. If music is important to you for your wedding, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

power at our venue. Total panic. But Keith was prepared. He found, rented, and personally hauled a generator to the venue—making sure we’d still have sound, lights, and the dancefloor we dreamed of. That kind of dedication is just…rare. Thankfully the power came back on after the ceremony, but we wouldn't have had music to walk down the aisle otherwise. And the dancing? Absolute perfection. Keith read the room like a pro and kept the dancefloor packed all night. Young, old, everyone was up dancing. He even nailed our more obscure song requests and mixed everything so seamlessly that people are still talking about how fun the night was. If you’re planning a wedding and want someone who is not only incredibly talented but also the calm in a storm (literally), DJ Keith is your guy. We are beyond grateful for his professionalism, quick thinking, and amazing energy. Thank you for making our night unforgettable, Keith. You’re a legend!

orites. He really curated all of the playlists to match our vibes perfectly. Many of our guests told us after the wedding that it was one of the best dance floors they had ever seen at a wedding, and that was largely due to DJ Erik. We couldn't recommend him or Hill Country DJ more!!

shot and let me tell you it was a mistake. During the planning period it was fairly smooth sailing with multiple phone calls and filling out multiple document timelines and song websites. However none of that seemed to matter when it came to the actual wedding. When he first arrived to the venue we told him to set up upstairs over looking the dance floor and he got very upset and said he can’t do that and it would be $250 for him to do it. He got really rude and disrespectful to my mom and our close friend who was trying to work with him on a solution. During the planning period no word was mentioned about having to pay an extra $250 for him to set up upstairs and when we did mention it to him during a phone call his only concern with it was that people wouldn’t be able to come request a song due to “drunk people and stairs” his words. We did end up paying the $250 to just have the wedding and setup we wanted. We provided him a binder with playlists and times on when to play the songs along with the document he told us to fill out with links to our Spotify playlists for him to play. When the grand entrances of our bridesmaid and groomsmen began he announced the groomsmen but played the bridesmaids song and after the boys just decided to go with it after they walked in he announced for them to go back out and do it again… it was so embarrassing. During the dinner we made a playlist for him to play and he played the slow dancing songs we provided for him so we didn’t even get to listen to our dinner playlist. And then when slow dancing came around he played the exact songs so we had to listen to them twice. We did a last dance song as a couple when everyone was outside waiting for our exit getting the sparklers ready and while people were still inside he began the song and we had to wave our hands and tell him to hang on until we were actually alone. All and all he was so unprepared and unprofessional, I would not recommend him to anyone especially brides who want a stress free wedding!!!
