My husband and I are so happy we hosted our wedding at Hotel Andaluz. The lobby, mezzanine and Barcelona ballrooms are all gorgeous spaces and our guests were very impressed by the architecture and history. We also LOVED and received so many compliments on the New Mexican buffet! The real hero of the day was wedding coordinator Angelina Vasquez. We had a few bumps in our planning journey with staff changes and renovations on-site, but Angelina was an absolute pro and went above and beyond for us at every turn. Her communication was excellent, and her approach was so thoughtful and detail oriented. We truly had the happiest wedding day we could have imagined, in no small part because of Angelina and Hotel Andaluz!
Hotel Andaluz was a beautiful and amazing place for our wedding. Kika was friendly, attentive and full of great energy during our year of planning. We booked the Casablanca room. It was stylish and comfortable for 100 guests. Loved the side area for lounging. The food was mostly plant based at our requests. There were so many compliments from our friends and family. The staff was quick to help and friendly. The only ding was lack of vegan breakfast requested. Overall, Hotel Andaluz and team provided a memorable and joyous experience.
Wonderful staff. Everyone was friendly. Delaney is the best! The only hiccup we had was our guests getting some misinformation about the room block when calling the hotel and getting transferred to corporate instead of an employee on site, but it all got straightened out in the end. The hotel rooms were luxurious while still retaining charm and uniqueness in the common areas.
Any questions?
Beautiful reception! Delaney was amazing and so very helpful! She worked with us to make our reception everything we wanted. Not to mention, the food was amazing!

Hi Randilyn! Thank you for your review. We are honored that we were able to be a part of your big day, it was truly magical! Cheers to many years of love and happiness!!
The reservation process was very difficult as they deleted rooms when we were asking for additional rooms. Our rooms weren't ready when we needed them for my groomsmen to get ready for the wedding. Other than these frustrations this is a great hotel to stay at.
Our guests really enjoyed staying at Hotel Andaluz. There were several problems with the reservations that had to be worked out ahead of time but once the guests arrived everything ran smoothly and they really enjoyed the unique Albuquerque atmosphere. We also had the rehearsal dinner at the hotel and they did a great job.
We got married here and I have nothing but positive things to say about the venue. Originally, we thought the venue was out of our budget, but once we looked around we realized they are surprisingly affordable compared to many other local vendors, especially given their quality and inclusions.
We worked with Nancy through the entire planning process, and she was more than receptive to any/all requests. The food tasting was good, but we wanted several things changed. I'm happy to say that everything was made according to our requests, and our guests raved about the amazing food. Some of our vendors even commented this was the best wedding food they had ever had - which was a huge compliment since all they do is weddings! (We did the NM Buffet).
All in all, this was a great venue at a price that worked. Plus, it's absolutely beautiful, and they'll do just about anything to please the bride and groom :)
My husband and I fell in love with Hotel Andaluz when we saw photos online and our feelings were confirmed when we visited in person. We had our wedding at Hotel Andaluz and it was a dream come true. The staff was professional, helpful and understanding of all of our needs, such as a vegetarian menu. In addition to being respectful of our budget, the quality of service was outstanding. Because of Hotel Andaluz our wedding was a beautiful and wonderful celebration!
Amazing hotel with very modern and luxurious rooms. We stayed two nights and I didn't want to leave. Staff at the upstairs bar, Ibiza, were amazing.
I recently held my wedding at the Hotel Andaluz, and I have nothing but praise for this fabulous venue.
First of all, it's gorgeous. The exterior is very unassuming, but as soon as we walked into the lobby, it took my breath away. The large archways, intricate woodwork, and the stained-glass wall are amazing, while the gurgling fountain right in the center of the seating area provides a very calming atmosphere. Our ceremony took place in the lobby, with the stained glass wall as our back drop; it could not have been more beautiful. The reception was in the Casablanca Room; it was the perfect size for our 50 guests. This room is very unique, with it's dark gray, almost metallic colored walls and funky light fixtures; my description does not do it justice, but i loved it because it was NOT your typical ballroom with weird wallpaper and ugly carpet. The rooftop bar/lounge prominently features a large water feature/fountain with a propane fueled fire on the top that provided a fabulous backdrop for photos. Our room for the evening (included in our wedding package) was one of the larger suites; kind sized bed, living room area, and the largest claw foot tub I have ever seen, which was a fabulous amenity after a night of dancing! The decor was simple, but perfectly fit the overall vibe of the hotel.
Second, the staff was extremely accommodating. The wedding coordinator, Nancy, was very organized and was always prompt in addressing any questions or concerns that I had. She was present on the big day, making sure that vendors were where they needed to be, keeping the wedding party (more or less) on schedule, even helping my adorable flower girls figure out where to hold their bouquets and when to walk down the aisle. Once we had eaten, she turned the reigns over to the head server, Anthony, who was extremely helpful when the night was over, providing us with a locked room to put all the leftover "stuff" from the reception so that we could deal with all of it the next morning.
Third, my guests loved it! Every single person in attendance could not believe what an amazing venue we had found. They loved the overall atmosphere, the history, the decor, the food, the staff...everything was amazing!! Most of our guests were from out of town, so we loved that we found a memorable image of New Mexico for them to take home with them! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Hotel Andaluz, for making our wedding an event that we will never, ever forget!!
I recently held my wedding at this hotel and I would rate my experience with them a 6 out of 10.
Pros:
The executives and management have it together. The amenities are fabulous. The rooms are very unique, very nice, a clean. Each room has its own art work. I was very pleased with the quality of the food from Lucia and the quality of food served to my guests. Overall the hotel has a great initial WOW factor. The lobby is fabulous. My event coordinator was also very professional, organized and helpful. The valet was always friendly and nice.
However there were some MAJOR cons that made having my wedding here more frustrating then it should have been.
Cons:
Employees do not have their stuff together. The reservations desk told guests the block of rooms we had reserved was full when it was not. Because of this, many of the wedding guests chose to stay at other hotels when they would have preferred to stay at Hotel Andaluz. I had to call them 5 different times (not joking) to ask why they were giving out bad information. They also were not giving the full discounted rate outlined in the contract I signed with the hotel. I actually had to make them call back a few people to give them the correct rate. They also lost one of the guests reservations completely and she had to bunk with some of the other guests.
The hotel bar is right next door to the banquet hall and we had some wedding crashers come over and try to order alcohol from our open bar tab. Luckily my uncle ran them off.
Before the wedding I was told the staff would clear the room and put everything in our room after the reception was over. Once things calmed down I noticed the staff only moved the presents and guest book into our room but they THREW AWAY everything else. All of the decorations, flowers, vases, jars, left over wedding favors, and most importantly some family photographs were gone! It broke my heart and also put me in a really bad position when I had to call people who had lent us some of the items and tell them it was gone. Worst of all, they tried to tell me my guests had taken the stuff, when in fact I saw it piled up in a corner at the end of the night. I assumed it would be put in a box and given back to us. Ultimately, these was not their items to throw away!
We had a difficult time getting them to settle the bar tab. They charged the bar tab for 170 people all night (aka a HUGE amount of money) to the wrong card 2 different times and told us it was our card. When we called the bank they said they entered in the expiration date incorrectly.
Overall, this is a really cute boutique hotel. However, if you are holding an event here you need to be VERY VERY careful and specific about what you want and you can still expect some bumps from the staff.
