Just can’t say enough about Hunt Valley - what a wonderful wonderful evening. The team was excellent and exceeded all my expectations - truly.  I wasn’t the most prepared on Saturday but your team under Jorge’s guidance put together the fragile centerpieces without issue - even though it came to them in 5 pieces!!!! The food was EXCELLENT! The meat was tender, the crab cakes seasoned to perfection, the vegetables were hot and not overcooked, the bread was fresh, and the salad very green! I did hear that the cocktails were very good The linens were laid out perfectly and matched the chair bows perfectly. I could not have been more pleased and it brought a huge smile to my face!   I really can’t say enough good things about the team - led by Jorge. All of them were kind and attentive! Jorge was especially attentive and informed me every step along the way. He was kind and patient and he never made me feel rushed. He thought of things that were important that had never even crossed my mind. For instance when the cake started to get hot in the evening sun, he immediately had the table moved! He knew exactly where to position the sweetheart table even though the dance floor hadn’t arrived. So Smart! He had such a nice demeanor and I’m so glad he was selected him for our wedding. When the evening ended, we just had so many things to take home - and I was so thankful the staff was there to help us clean up in addition to breaking down all the tables and cleaning up the hall. They helped take down the backdrops, neatly folded sheers, took down the wedding arch, grouped things together, and packed up the left over favors and masks. The list could go on - but they were extremely helpful, very kind and top notch. Thank you again Hunt Valley for a most wonderful and memorable evening. We absolutely made the right choice by selecting you.

Hunt Valley was flexible, priced fairly, and highly communicative, all great things to find in any vendor (and especially a caterer). Darlene, who we spent most of our time in contact with for HV Catering, was incredibly helpful and personable the entire process. But more importantly for those looking for catering - The food was amazing. So good that we had guests calling us on our honeymoon to tell us how good the food was. Their staff were also incredibly nice, polite, and professional. They almost felt like guests at the wedding themselves (in the best way possible) with how friendly they were to our guests, and how incredibly nice they were to the bride and I. Overall, highly recommended!

Hunt Valley Catering did a fantastic job catering my September 2019 wedding! The food was delicious (especially the crab cakes), and the service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my new husband and I were taken care of--they had a plate of appetizers ready for us as we finished up post-ceremony photos and they checked in with us throughout the night. Darlene and her team were wonderful to work with throughout the process, and she was always very responsive to our questions. We are so happy we chose Hunt Valley Catering for their quality, value, and service!

This catering company was great in the beginning but by the end I was a little disappointed. We chose them because they were the most affordable, and their initial tasting was great. I do have to make a complaint however about the level of communication throughout the planning process. They never proactively reached out to us to confirm dates or payments and also took long periods of time to respond when I had questions (a lot of times on vacation). The day of coordinator and staff were great, worked quickly, and were open to working with us throughout the entire day. All in all, they were fine and the food was good, but be prepared to call them a lot. And also have checks handy, they charge extra for making payments with credit card.

I am so upset I don't know where to begin. We did a buffet style dinner with this caterer. We were always told that if food was left over it would be boxed up and sent home with us. I paid for 3 different appetizers. None of the bridal party had any. We were told at the end of the night there were NONE left. We ordered a caesar salad and were given a garden salad with an unknown dressing. One of the main dishes we chose was Chicken Oscar. Their menu states this is "Chicken breast stuffed with jumbo lump crab meat, asparagus and served with bearnaise". There was NO crab meat in this dish at all! Not small pieces, I mean NONE. We had one person with a food issue, I requested 10 months in advance this person have a special dish of plain cooked veggies, plain salad, plain rice. I even offered to pay extra for it. Was told no problem. Day of wedding, this person was handed a plate of barely cooked potatoe chunks... that was it. Hardly any of the staff spoke English. The bar tender regularly got drinks wrong because he didn't understand what people were saying. My mother in law asked for a coke and was handed soda water, she had to point to the red cans of coke for him to understand. Towards the end of the night, my brother goes to get some more food. He saw the staff wrapping up the food and putting it all in the fridge. I didn't know this at the time. An hour later, myself, my mom, and mother in law all asked the head caterer for the left overs, he first was adamant that NO food was left. He then changed his story to "there was only a little left so we threw it out". So we were given NO LEFTOVERS. After everyone left, only my mother in law was there getting decorations, she noticed the catering staff carrying covered trays with big smiles and giggling after 9 hours of work to their vehicles. Didn't know at the time, but Im now pretty sure it was because they were going home with my food I PAID FOR. My brother informed me the following day of what he saw them putting in the fridge. After we called to discuss these issues, we were blatantly lied to saying that they were never planning on giving us any left overs.

We cannot say enough good things about Hunt Valley Catering. We had a fusion Indian/American wedding this past Saturday and Darlene and the rest of the Hunt Valley Catering staff were so absolutely wonderful. Our wedding was a little tricky, we needed to have Indian food for guests that wouldn't eat American food and that meant having an Indian restaurant drop off the Indian food to the Hunt Valley staff to be served with the menu we had selected from Hunt Valley Catering. Darlene made the process so easy and every time I had a question or I thought of something new I wanted, Darlene answered my emails back right away. When I had a crazy idea (like wanting 225 cookies to be delivered and set up or wanting the bar to open prior to the ceremony), Darlene was able to arrange it so that everything was taken care of. On the day of, Jorge, our Catering Captain, made sure that we had all of the food we needed, he frequently came up and asked us if he could get us anything, he even helped us get milk in champagne flutes for a picture of us eating milk and cookies. Guests came up to us and complimented the food nonstop, even on Sunday our guests were texting us about how amazing Hunt Valley Catering's food was. If we had to redo the whole thing, I would rebook Hunt Valley Catering every single time.

We highly recommend Hunt Valley Catering. They did a wonderful job with our daughter's wedding. Our guests (160) raved about the food. The appetizers were plentiful and delicious. The buffet had a wide variety and we receive lots of compliments. The staff was very attentive and did a great job with set up. Our day was perfect.

Our Wedding of 150 guests was March 31, 2018 and Hunt Valley did an exceptional job! Darlene is very responsive and was incredibly helpful with my many questions because I had to plan my Wedding in Maryland from another state. The staff was excellent, as was the food. All our guests were very happy and commented on the presentation as well. The prices were also very reasonable for the delicious buffet menu we got. Choose Hunt Valley Catering!

Overall I had a very good experience with Hunt Valley Catering. Darlene was responsive, professional, and flexible. Lawrence was extremely helpful about the logistics and layout of the event and very professional and friendly. Several of our guests raved about the food, especially the crab cakes, which was really nice to hear! I did have a two minor concerns. My husband and I were not served first (although we were informed we would be), and when we received our food, it was not hot. We wanted to be served first so we could then make our rounds around each table, but unfortunately, due to being served late, we were only able to make it to half the tables after we ate (we had a small wedding with only 80 people). I also witnessed the bartender yell at one of my friends for standing too close to the bar. I understand that he may have been in the way, but he was talking to me (the bride), and he could have done it in a much nicer way. The rest of the staff were perfectly professional and nice. Despite the two small concerns, I would recommend this caterer to others. They were able to work within the nontraditional wedding venue we had chosen and made everything run smoothly.

Hunt Valley was wonderful for my daughter's wedding. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff was excellent. The event went so smoothly. I was complimented many times regarding how good the food was. The staff was so responsive to any special request or any issue that came up. I would highly recommend them for your wedding or any event.

I am so happy that I contracted Hunt Valley Catering for my daughter's University Graduation dinner at the Carriage House at Gramercy Mansion. Hunt Valley Catering was fabulous! Jim and Darlene were lovely to work with, they had very quick response times both via email and on the phone. Their professional demeanor and helpful advice when I was planning my menu were greatly appreciated. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all of our guests. The crab dip and baked mac and cheese are definitely must-haves! The portions were generous and the attention to detail was on point. Book another caterer: We selected Hunt Valley caterers because of their reasonable prices, 5 star reviews on the knot, and the friendly staff we met before hiring them. However, after booking them as our caterer everything went downhill. When I went to pay the final payment a few days before our wedding I was told that Darlene, the wonderful woman we had been in contact with, was double booked that day and we got another head caterer who had no information on our event and asked me for all the same information (seating charts, allergies, etc.) that I had sent to Darlene months ago. I was not planning on this change and of course did not have all of this information on me when we went to meet (I just thought I was going to hand them the check). When I asked her for her email address or contact information so I can send her this information she told me "oh no that's ok, I will just get this from Darlene." I asked her for her information a few times and every time she declined which should have been a red flag right there but now it is too late to get another caterer. My mom and I also told the caterer multiple times that we will be bringing some containers to take the dinners from last minute cancelations home with us since we were paying a considerable amount for each dinner. Well the day of the wedding roles around and of course this other caterer did not have information on how we wanted the bar, guest sign in, etc. tables set up. Thank goodness for my mother in law who knew exactly what we wanted was able to help them set it up right before cocktail hour. What really upset me was that after my mother in law had fixed this situation and everything was were it should be (btw: to me as long as the tables look good and the items we brought were set up I was happy) the caterer came up to me when I first entered the reception hall and said "well we didn't receive any of your information you said you would send us about where things go so I don't know..." and then walked away. Basically, my caterer just told me my reception was going to be a hot mess because she couldn't of been bothered to give me her contact information the second my husband and I entered the reception hall. We were serving steak and crab cake and I was also told after the wedding by a friend that her husband was just served steak and was not going to say anything about it. Luckily she told the catering service that he was missing his crab cake. Also one of the guests was really looking forward to the steak and she told my mom that her steak came out burnt and that they could not give her another because they were out of steaks. I also wanted to conclude that we had 6 last minute cancellations and did not receive those dinners to take home. Did they just not bring enough food? Overall the food was good (for most of the guests) but the service was absolutely terrible. If I could go back I would have selected a different caterer.

Hunt Valley Catering was an exceptional service and great value! The food was outstanding and we received a lot of compliments from our guests about the crab cakes. Oh and mac 'n cheese bites. Yup - and the brie - the best! Everything was delicious! The staff was very attentive and did a fantastic job setting up the tables and improvising with decorations where necessary. Darlene was amazingly accommodating from start to finish - she answered lots of questions and was very flexible. Lawrence and his entire staff were amazing the day of - we received so many compliments not only on their service but the amazing quality of the food. When we first met with Hunt Valley caterers, they were very nice, and took the time to go over all of the menu options with us. Their menu choices were very versatile and accommodating and prices very reasonable They also did a complimentary tasting, and the food was very good. It was the same deliciousness at the reception. They did all the set up and clean up of the event, and coordinated the timing of everything. Thanks to the Hunt Valley Team for making our reception one to remember. Incredible food, beautiful set up, and the extremely courteous and attentive staff. I highly recommend them.

Hunt Valley Catering did a fantastic job catering our wedding! Everything was delicious and easy and they really understood the "upscale barbecue" vision we had for our wedding. We did split plates with friend chicken breasts and pulled pork and they were really great at walking us through all the different options. At the wedding, they made sure my husband and I got a taste of all of the appetizers, and we definitely got a chance to sit down and enjoy the meal. Great service and a great value!

Hunt Valley Catering did such an amazing job and everything they prepared was delicious! Aside from the food, the best part about working with them was how flexible and responsive they were for us. Darlene was so helpful, direct, and accommodating. They provided great options that worked well for our outdoor summer wedding, accommodated last minute requests to meet dietary restrictions, and all of their staff (catering and bar service) were friendly and professional and delivered amazing service that made the busy day go seamlessly, helping to make sure our guests were really able to enjoy and celebrate with us! I've already recommended them for two upcoming weddings that a friend and family member have booked with Hunt Valley and would recommend them again to anyone else in the area.

Hunt Valley Catering was incredible! So knowledgeable, professional, and personable. They were so helpful in the lead up to the wedding with logistics and planning. During the cocktail hour we had a sun shower for a couple minutes, they were great about ushering people under the tent, moving the app tables, and the continuing the party! They made sure my husband and I were fed quickly and were great about feeding the other vendors. The food was INCREDIBLE. Amazing crabcakes and mashed potatoes - no wedding rubber chicken from these guys! Darlene was a joy to work with, even though I probably sent about a million emails, she was always warm and friendly. Also, top notch service. I really wanted a Dirty Shirley during the reception (shirley temple with vodka), they didn't have grenadine with them and so they sent someone back to their shop to pick it up just for me. They really made sure our guests had a great time.

They are very attentive. They cooked everything so we knew exactly what we were ordering and spent so much time explaining the process to us. They really helped us get our heads wrapped around this huge thing we are trying to accomplish!

We were so pleased with Hunt Valley Catering - from the moment we began communications with them. Their menu choices were very versatile and accommodating and prices VERY reasonable! Darlene, Jodi and Lawrence were fabulous - as well as the entire staff at the wedding. NOTHING went wrong, and to boot they added a seafood pasta dish at no charge that EVERYONE raved about. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Thanks to the Hunt Valley Team for making our reception one to remember!!

Hunt valley was exceptional service and great value! The food was outstanding and we received a lot of compliments from our guests about the crab cakes. They were delicious! The staff was very attentive and did a fantastic job setting up the tables and improvising with decorations where necessary. The reception space looked beautiful! My only issue was on the logistics side. There were a few miscommunications about the menu choices (which ended up being slightly different than we were expecting) and on the business end of things. It ended up being no big deal in the end and we were very happy with our experience.

This was the only caterer that we tasted because the food was that good. Our wedding consisted of 4 passed aps, 2 stationary, a buffet with smoked salmon, London broil, and crab cakes, and an open bar. The staff was very professional during the wedding. We had questionable weather moving towards us during the set up and they patiently worked with us until the very last moment when we decided to pull the wedding inside due to storms. Everything was set up perfectly and many of our guests told us how great the food was. the BRIE was the BEST Brie that my wife and I have ever had. The crab cakes were better than most.

Food is delicious, and affordable! You are allowed to BYOB and just pay for a bartender which is GREAT! Venue is pretty too! Staff was incredibly polite and professional. It just seemed that they were a little short staffed for our reception for a couple of reasons: 1. I had requested plated vegetarian options for a couple of friends, and for our kids table (fetti alfredo) It appeared that it was served with the regular meal options. It also appeared that they were running out of food and not changing out the empty trays fast enough. 2. I am not sure if coffee or tea was served or announced when cake was being served. 3. They put our cutting cake away from the dessert set up and we had to tell them to move it. Other than that, everything was great!

The food at Hunt Valley was your run of the mill wedding food. I was never too worried about the food but it is a pretty central part of the day. So when I was trying to figure out details and 5 phone calls and 10 e-mails wouldn't get a response. Customer service was poor. My parents finally took over dealing with this company because they were making me crazy! Our wedding had people who needed a celiac meal and some who needed a vegan meal. Everyone just ended up getting vegan. You would think a catering company would know what a celiac meal was. All in all after all the drama even if the night went pretty well, I can not get past the bad taste they left in my mouth during planning.

Hunt Valley Catering was great on my wedding day. When Hurricane Irene forced us the day before to change our plans by shifting the ceremony and reception up six hours, Hunt Valley Catering was flexible and able to provide our food and service on time with a smile. Everything tasted great, especially the crabcakes, and our guests commented on how surprised they were at how good our wedding food was. I recommend Hunt Valley Catering to anyone looking for great food at a great price!

I enjoyed working with Hunt Valley Catering. On the day of, their service was wonderful and they made sure we always had full drinks and plenty to eat. The food was prepared and presented well and tasted pretty good. Overall, I was glad to have chosen HVC as the caterer for our wedding.

Food was delicious! Only gave 4 stars because they set up the tables the wrong way. Also they were supposed to have mac n cheese and chicken nuggets for the kids but they didn't. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was though!

We had a good experience with HVC. We had to choose from a list of caterers our venue provided and HVC was by FAR less expensive than the other choices. Our venue rep told us they were the most common caterer chosen by couples (which also says something about their reputation). That also reassured me that they knew the logistics of the venue, timing, and how to do things most efficiently and correctly. We attended a tasting (which was a lot of food – don’t eat dinner first). The person we spoke with was nice and allowed us to swap a couple of the foods from the menu that we chose. That menu included the wedding cake from YiaYia’s bakery (they give you a voucher with your number of guests and you go there to pick it out). She was mistaken when she told us that we could ANYTHING on the cake – there were some restrictions, but it was fine. She was also helpful in suggesting how we could save money on our bar costs. We also ordered our table linens and napkins through them and they provided the linens for the service tables (buffet table, DJ table, etc.) at no additional cost. The day-of, there were some conflicts between the HVC head waitress and our coordinator, and I heard the stories on both sides, but they figured things out. In the end, the tables were setup nicely, the food display looked good, and everything tasted good.

Hunt Valley Catering was AMAZING before, during, and after my wedding. They were so helpful, courteous and nice with every experience and interaction I had with them. Their entire crew is great. The food was phenomenal! I mean even my vegetarian guest was pleased! They were great with managing the flow of my wedding day and I couldnt have been more pleased. From the tasting to the consult to the setup and the cleanup they did a fantastic job. I would definitely use them again!

A really nice experience working with Hunt Valley. They were very open to any changes we needed to make to our menu. In addition they were very helpful with making the most affordable linen selection.
