I can't speak highly enough of the incredible job Ciara and the Hyatt team did for our wedding. The event was absolutely perfect, and they made everything shockingly easy for us. I'm not sure how Ciara has the hours in the day to be so helpful and attentive, but we're beyond grateful for it.

I cannot say enough great things about the Hyatt! From start to finish the team here was truly incredible. We worked very closely with Ciara who was amazing. She was there with me and for me every step of the way and answered my never ending stream of questions for months! She was incredibly organized and went above and beyond us for to make sure everything about our day was perfect and special. She is amazing and if you get to work with her, you will be in great hands! The Hyatt in general has unmatched views- my guests have not stopped telling me how incredible the venue was as a whole. The views are incredible, the ballroom is magical and there is nothing I would have changed. If you are looking to have your wedding in Jersey City, LOOK NO FURTHER!!! This is the place to do it at!

We had a rehearsal event and wedding at the Hyatt Regency. We booked the Vu Restaurant for the rehearsal. The wedding ceremony and reception were in the ballroom. The guests were amazed by the view. Both nights, the service was great and the food was delicious. Melissa is super organized and executed our events without a hitch. She'll give you her honest assessment on the space and what other vendors will bring to the table.

The Hyatt Regency Jersey City was a recommendation from our band, the Metropolitan Players, for our wedding venue. We wanted a venue that had an outdoor ceremony space for a May wedding, a great view of Manhattan and unobstructed views for the reception (open plan and no columns in the space). When we visited the venue we immediately knew we wanted to get married there. The space and views are amazing!
Nicole Johnson, our wedding specialist at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City, was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. She was always responsive and quickly answered any questions we had along the way. She made the planning process so smooth. It was all so organized! We also contracted a hotel room block and a farewell brunch for the day following our wedding.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by Daniel, our wedding butler. We totally underestimated his role for our wedding day. He was absolutely amazing! He made sure everything was moving along according to schedule, everyone was in the right place at the right time, that we stayed hydrated and had something to eat all day, and he even fixed a problem with the wedding gown! We didn't have a first dance routine, just planned to wing it when time came. Daniel gave us a few dance step suggestions that made our first dance better than we planned. The food and drinks were delicious! We loved every minute of our wedding at the Hyatt. It was all so perfect! We were so happy to have had our wedding at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City. Nicole, Daniel and the entire Hyatt team were wonderful to work with.

Amazing venue. Unobstructed 180 degree view of NYC Skyline. Floor to Ceiling Windows for Reception. Outside patios for Ceremony, Cocktail hour and during Reception too.
Great chef. Food was fantastic.
Nicole and Melissa are the best! (wedding coordinators). In addition to them you get your own personal butler who handles all your requests the day of the wedding.
Can't say enough it was awesome.

Hyatt Regency Jersey City is definitely a winner if you are looking to book a venue your upcoming dream wedding! My husband and I were completely satisfied by the service we received. The entire staff were professional! Our guests were completely blown away from the time they arrived at the venue. The rooms were clean and not to mention beautifully set up. Thanks to the entire staff for making this an experience we will never forget! 💕

My husband Mike and I got married 10/20/18 and thank our lucky stars we chose the Hyatt Regency at Exchange Place for our reception, room block and next-day brunch! In the lead-up, we worked with Nicole and Melissa, who are both lovely, creative, and ultra-organized. They and their team are true professionals with a clear passion and talent for what they do. Each step of the planning process was made so clear and simple, we enjoyed every second of it. And what is more, each member of the Hyatt team you meet are the same way: so kind, and so polished - and that goes for every time we’ve visited for a Sunday breakfast, weekend evening drinks, and our wedding weekend. The reception staff, the restaurant staff and bartenders, the valet team - all really represent the best.
Both Nicole and Melissa were on hand and incredible the day of the wedding, but really that day our main point of contact was Daniel. We loved him and cannot say enough about him. Oh wow, does he know how to make what can be a hectic morning into a total breeze. He was such a beautiful and vital part of our wedding day, we are so grateful to him. With a quick wit and charm, he is patient, knowledgeable and so competent - he perfectly coordinated our photographer, the guest buses, the limos, moving us (separately) into the suite on the day-of, our band - everything. He brought us some cocktail hour goodies while Mike and I enjoyed a quiet moment on our suite balcony looking down at our guests enjoying themselves, made sure we got special poses in pictures based on his experience, helped us to navigate the cake cutting (we wanted to cut it, but without breaking up the party, so he guided us just as dinner was ending), loads of other things, and most memorable of all: saved the day before our first dance! When we visited the reception space just before the guests came up, we realized the dancefloor was as slick against Mikes brand new tux shoes. We panicked, knowing he couldn’t possibly dance that way - but Daniel quickly said “I know what to do, we’ve got this.” Drawing on his years as a dancer and actor, dipped a napkin in Coca Cola and coated the soles of Mikes shoes and let them dry for a minute... complete success. We sailed through our dance, and enjoyed every second.
The food and alcohol at the Hyatt are top of the line. The food really is incredible - we cannot day enough about the chef. The tasting was a blast and it was hard to narrow down to our favorites (went with ribeye and hazelnut apricot chicken,), and the hors d’oeuvres were all divine. The cake from Carlos (carrot cake for 2 layers and chocolate ganache/fresh strawberries for the other) was included in the package and was beautiful and delicious - so soft and fresh.
We had guests from around the world visiting for our wedding - and everyone is still raving about the incredible time they had! It was the best time, and we will cherish each memory. The view, the ballroom, guestrooms, lobby bar, staff, and everything about this hotel is perfect. The team are incredibly hard working and excellent at their jobs - we absolutely recommend them for weddings and all other events. They were a big part in making our wedding day perfect - thank you! -Kathleen and Michael

Working with Hyatt JC was an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. We worked primarily with Melissa, but the entire team including Nicole, Sanya and more, were absolutely top notch. From the very beginning Melissa, made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions (even the repeats!). Melissa's enthusiasm is contagious, and we were in good hands every step of the way. I can barely express how helpful she was throughout the whole process. She deserves a raise for all of the extra work that she puts in, I don't know how she manages it all! When it came to the tasting, it was like hanging out with a friend that just happened to know absolutely everything about weddings. I couldn't imagine a better, or more beautiful experience! As the day approached, Melissa went over every detail, and accommodated every request so that there was nothing to stress about. There is not one thing that she wasn't able to make happen, including a surprise friend flying in, a custom drink change, perfect Christmas decor and much much more! Melissa is THE BEST.
The hotel itself is stunning; modern and fresh. The views cannot be understated. The Manhattan Ballroom on the 9th Floor was absolutely the perfect urban setting of our dreams. The food is absolutely out of this world. Friends are still raving about it. Forget what you may think about "hotel food." This is food worthy of five stars and just happens to be in a hotel.
DANIEL. I heard so much about him before I had the pleasure of meeting him, and STILL he exceeded all expectations. He played an essential role, one that I truly didn't anticipate the importance of. He coordinated everything so that we didn't have to worry. He was truly there for US, the bride and groom, he helped shield us from the stressors of the day (ALL OF THEM) so that we could have the day and night of our lives. I can't speak highly enough of him, there are not enough words or enough space!
Thank you to the entire incredible team!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. Our wedding day was PERFECTION!! From start (tour, contract negotiation) to finish (the big day), the hotel's wedding specialist, Melissa Magin, was top notch and made the entire planning process so easy breezy for us. Melissa made our dream wedding a reality. Her expertise and logistical prowess really made for a seamless flow of events on the day of our wedding and having her coordinate your wedding is probably the single biggest perk of choosing this incredible venue. Our butler, Daniel, was also amazing – we really did not lift a finger the day of the wedding, and our glasses were always full It's not an inexpensive venue, but for what you get, the value is great. They throw in lots of fun extras (e.g., the wedding cake from Carlos' bakery (which generally retail for over 2K), the cake tasking, the food/beverage tasking, beautiful room for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in the morning of the wedding (with breakfast and mimosas), honeymoon suite (the Ellis Suite) for bride and groom the night of the wedding, etc.). The main draw for us was the incredible location (omg, THE VIEW), and while we didn’t initially book the venue for the food, our tasting was after we booked it, the food was absolutely superb. This we learned at our tasting, which was a total blast – come hungry AND thirsty!! And everyone, including us, devoured the cocktail hour delights and salad and entre on the big day. Tons of compliments from guests that the filet mignon was cooked to perfection, etc.
We married in January, so weather was a concern, but we lucked out and got a clear, dry, albeit freezing, day. If you are looking for elegance and convenience, this venue is for you. And I would especially recommend it to anyone considering a winter wedding. We did the ceremony and reception on-site, and many guests stayed overnight the night of and/or the night before the wedding. And when the wedding wrapped up at 10pm, we after-partied in the hotel bar. I’ll also note there is a huge balcony on the Manhattan ballroom, and the hotel put out heating lamps for us. Still a bit chilly to hang out there in night, but we, and our guests, had fun taking pics on the balcony with the gorgeous NYC skyline in the background. Not to mention you can actually see the Statue of Liberty from that balcony, with an even better view from the cocktail hour space. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to (and it was definitely our favorite wedding)!! It was really such a blast and could not have been more perfect. Every aspect of our wedding weekend, and especially the big day, FAR exceeded all our expectations. And again, a HUGE thank you to the wedding specialist, Melissa!!!!

My husband and I got married at the Hyatt Regency this weekend and it was the best weekend of our lives. We had both our ceremony and reception in the Manhattan Ballroom, Melissa is amazing and so fun to work with. I can't say enough good things about Daniel, our day of Wedding Butler. He constantly kept us fed, happy and did a great job keeping us on schedule. The Hyatt went out of their way to make all of our requests happen. Our guests had such a good time and we can't stop hearing about how amazing the views were from the ceremony and reception.

Where to start! First of all, our wedding was held this past summer in July 2017. What an amazing day we were able to experience. The weather was perfect, the view was unbelievable, and the staff that worked with us were nothing but superb! Our special thanks must go specifically to our coordinators at the Hyatt, Melissa M. and Sanya K., Daniel (our amazing day of Butler), and Christopher C. We could not thank you all enough for making our day perfect. Melissa and Sanya, thank you both for putting up with all of our requests throughout this process and being patient and professional the entire time! Daniel, our day would not have been the same without you. You truly have mastered the craft of weddings and helping couples enjoy their day to the fullest extent! You were phenomenal and to anyone who is even on the fence about hosting their wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, look no further than this venue! We did the option of having a "buffet" style dinner with different stations including tacos, burgers/sliders, Chinese, and of course, a bacon bar! We haven't stopped getting compliments on the food, drinks and of course the view. Everything is unbeatable. Again, these were the people who truly made everything come together so perfectly. So again, from the both of us, THANK YOU!!

Where to begin on the Hyatt!? Can't say enough amazing things about the Hyatt Regency Jersey City. We quite literally owe our entire wedding to them and their incredible staff. On Friday August 11th, my husband and I were supposed to be getting married at Battello, a restaurant located in Jersey City. On Thursday, August 10th, we were delivered some of the most horrible news you can get 24 hours before your wedding, which was that Battello was shutting down, effective immediately. After a few moments of complete panic we started to call new venues in hopes that someone would be able to accommodate a 200 person wedding 24 hours before the date. Well the Hyatt, did just that and more! The staff did an UNBELIEVABLE job of putting the event together in so little time. We had our dream ceremony outdoors with the most stunning views of Manhattan as our backdrop. The cocktail hour and reception ran completely seamlessly due to the amazing staff at the Hyatt, including Sanya (who I called my guardian angel that day!) and Abdul. Our guests are still raving about the food and views. Thank you to everyone at the Hyatt who saved our wedding and helped create our dream wedding, a night we'll remember for the rest of our lives!

This place went above and beyond for our Wedding day. If you have better luck than us the views are absolutely stunning; however our wedding was considerably different. We got married back in January during winter storm Jonas and the entire day seemed like it was ruined. However, we were fortunate enough to have Melissa as our wedding specialist. She was working so hard to coordinate backup plans for anything that could go wrong and neither my wife nor myself were put under any additional stress. Thankfully all our vendors showed up but Melissa had a back up DJ at the hotel if our band could not make it and when weather conditions made travel to the church impossible she quickly set up a beautiful impromptu site for a ceremony. While I could go on about Melissa's hard work and professionalism I would be remiss to leave out the amazing staff that not only braved the storm but catered to our guests' every need. The food was excellent including the complimentary cake from Carlos Bakery. To top it off the storm broke right before the end of the night and everyone got to enjoy the best views of NYC. We were so fortunate to have booked this incredible venue and I truly believe no other venue could have pulled off such an amazing night during such a disaster (and from what i heard many of them did not). Thanks again to Melissa and the entire staff at the Hyatt Regency for the wedding of a lifetime! We are so grateful to you all!

We just had our wedding reception here on August 30th and it was everything we could have wanted and more! As soon as we first saw the Manhattan Ballroom we knew we wanted our reception there. It's on the 9th floor and faces Manhattan with windows on three sides and a huge terrace looking out over the river. Our cocktail was on the Riverside Terrace on the first floor and pier facing Manhattan. None of our guests wanted to leave cocktail hour because they loved the space and the views but once they got up to the ballroom they were even more impressed and didn't want to leave there! We worked with Melissa and she was very helpful with every wish we had and made sure everything was as we wanted. The food was amazing! Before we had our tasting I didn't know what to expect because I have never been impressed with hotel wedding food but this food was out of this world! Each course was delicious and I only regret not eating more of each! To top it off we had fried zeppoles served with our cake and they were mouthwatering and addictive! I stayed in one of the suites for the three nights leading up to the wedding and the room was so high scale and spacious. We had enough rooms for four hair and makeup people to set up and work. Chris was the contact for all of our guest rooms and he made sure everyone was set up and taken care of. For the wedding day we had Daniel as our personal "butler" and I can not imagine the day going as stress free as it did without him. He was always there for anything we needed, keeping us on schedule to get ready, and always checking on us and our parents trough the reception to make sure we had food, drinks, etc. The morning after, many of our guests said they can't believe there hasn't been more weddings in our network there. The Hyatt Regency has it all, great hotel rooms, wonderful staff, amazing food, and perfect views of NYC. Would choose this hotel again without a doubt!

My husband and I had our reception at the Hyatt this past July and were extremely happy with how everything turned out. In the months leading up to the wedding we worked with Melissa, who was very helpful, responsive to emails and open to ideas and personal touches that I wanted to include. She really went above and beyond to try and accommodate our wants, and was passionate and excited about the little extras that I was excited about incorporating into our wedding. On the wedding day, Daniel was our go-to man. He was absolutely wonderful and made sure everything went smoothly. He even spotted 2 wedding crashers from across the room and made sure they were escorted. The staff was great and location was beyond perfect! We were up in the Manhattan Ballroom and the views of downtown were to die for! Everyone raved about how beautiful it was. The food was also delicious! I still have guests telling me they've never been to a wedding where all of the food was that good!

The only reason I booked this hotel was because of the close proximity to my wedding venue and the amazing view it has. I figured the closer the hotel, the better for our guests so I went ahead and contacted them. From when I booked, which was about a year prior to my wedding day, I worked with 5 different sales managers because one after another they kept leaving. It was frustrating and I never knew who I was talking to and sometimes wouldn’t get emails answered for weeks at a time. The good points of the hotel are rooms are nice and clean; they have a couch in every room, which is nice. The view is amazing and the staff while staying there was helpful. The front desk staff, bellman, and parking attendants were all great. I also was happy that when all my room blocks were full, the lady that I was working with at the time was able to add more blocks instead of me booking another hotel. Most of the time hotels only give you a certain amount and it was nice that they added more. At the time I booked they also had a charge of $4.00 per guest bag that was to be delivered to guests room, but thankfully they did away with the fee before my wedding. As far as my guests getting the guest bag before the wedding, that did not happen, which was upsetting considering I had a timeline of shuttle pick up times and other timed events and I told them that. The bags were in our guest’s rooms after the wedding. I would suggest not to even bother putting a timeline in your guest bag because they wont get it before the wedding anyway. I also need to mention that there is no free parking or any parking garage for this hotel. No matter what you are going to be charged for parking. Not being from Jersey City, I didn’t realize they didn’t have a parking garage on site. Day parking costs $25.00 and overnight $38.00, when I originally booked this hotel overnight was $32.00, so they increased their rate by 6 dollars from the time I booked. When asked about comping the $38.00 because we booked about 40 rooms and a suite, they wouldn’t and I was told that for some wedding blocks they do comp guests parking fees. Don’t find it fair that for some wedding blocks they do and for some they don’t. I couldn’t even get $25.00 comped for my hair/makeup people, who told me that she gets comped every time she does a wedding there. Between my guests and the bridal suite we booked, they made over 10,000 and couldn’t even comp $25.00 for my vendor who was there a couple hours?? Ridiculous! As far as the bridal suite, it was really nice. The room is stocked with 2 waters (water in regular rooms is $3.00/bottle), a bridal kit, and a steamer. Also, my room wasn’t ready by 4pm, but they ended up giving me a voucher for 4 free drinks at the Vu Lounge. My guests were actually able to check in before 4pm, which was great! The night before our wedding, we went to Vu Lounge for some drinks and I have to say the drinks were amazing! So the night after my wedding, I thought we would have the after party there to only find out it was closed! We arrived back to hotel around 12:45, what bar on a weekend is closed at 12:45! Especially knowing that there are wedding room blocks and the website says they are open until 2am! There are not many reviews for this hotel as far as wedding room blocks, because trust me I looked, so I’m hoping this review will help another bride.

My husband and I just got married at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson last weekend. We can not say enough good things about this Hyatt. They were on top of every detail and did all the worrying for us. They provide a wedding butler on the day of your wedding who is there to help in any and every way possible. I did not worry once on my wedding day because I knew we were in the best hands. All of our guests commented on how fantastic the food and service was & we can not be more thankful!!

Almost two months after our wedding, I'm still constantly hearing that it was the best wedding our guests have ever attended. The Hyatt is a breathtaking venue with top notch service. From the beginning our wedding planner Sandra worked with us to make sure the day was perfect and met all of our needs. She was fabulous and a real pleasure to work with. On the day of, the team executed our event perfectly and Daniel, the wedding better, was absolutely incredible. On top of the service, the food was simply phenomenal. I would highly recommended the Hyatt and Sandra for any wedding or event.

We knew we wanted to get married and have the reception in a hotel so that everything can take place in one location. So we looked at The Westin and The Hyatt Regency. The Westin is nice, the lobby is modern and fresh. The ballroom was huge (the space would have felt too big for our wedding) and the outdoor space was a small balcony that overlooks the front of the hotel (Washington Blvd).
From the moment you walk into the Hyatt you feel the energy and electricity of New York City. As you go up the escalators you see the Statue of Liberty to far right and the Hudson River and World Trade Center ahead. The Manhattan ballroom offers spectacular views of New York City with a large terrace off of the ballroom. They also offer outdoor space on the 1st floor which includes a large terrace which is perfect for the cocktail hour and not to mention is great for pictures!
With gay marriage just becoming legalized in New Jersey we were curious to see how we would be greeted. We met Melissa Magin and we immediately established a connection with her. She was warm, welcoming and patient throughout the entire process. We probably exchanged over 40 emails within a one week period before signing the contract. I am a firm believer in being comfortable with your main point of contact and from our first meeting I knew we would be in good hands with Melissa. What I admire most about Melissa is that she was accommodating and while she would make recommendations we never felt pressured. Melissa gave us her honest opinions throughout the process. We really felt that we collaborated with Melissa throughout the entire process. From selecting the menu, to feedback on decor options, Melissa was truly first class and stellar. Our wedding planning was stress free thanks in part to the role Melissa played.
My now husband and I are "picky" eaters and we wanted to have a cocktail hour that mirrored our tastes in food. When we met with Melissa I asked to see the children's menu and if she can produce this menu for 200 adults. Melissa was excited for the challenge and worked with Chef Chris to come up with some great options. Our cocktail hour consisted of all our favorite foods and was especially tailored for us. We had mini grilled cheese sandwiches, pigs in a blanket, beef on a stick, pizza bowls, a chicken wing station, a Mac and Cheese station (with three different types of Mac and Cheese), a sliders and pulled pork station with French fries, mozzarella sticks, crab cakes and spring rolls! We also do not eat salad so Chef Chris allowed us to serve two warm mini pretzels versus the traditional salad course. For the main course we selected the beef, lamb and salmon. Typically you don'texpect too much from the entrees but our guests were delighted by the taste and presentation of the dishes. I wanted to serve fried Oreos but Chef Chris was concerned they would not be fresh when served so we went with zeppoles, and during the dessert course he surprised me with a dozen fried Oreos! They also accommodated us by serving Coffee ice cream and Gino's ices!
We did provide gift bags for our guests and yes the Hyatt charges a $4.00 delivery fee per bag. Other reviewers expressed frustrations about the gift bags not being delivered but we didn't have the same experience. All of our gift bags were delivered the day of the event. We labeled the gift bags and also provided a list to the hotel.

Our wedding venue recommended the Hyatt along with a few other hotel options, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the Hyatt was more affordable than any other hotel in Jersey City.
I was a bit frustrated because a main reason we chose this hotel was it's proximity (right next door) to the PATH, only to learn that the PATH station was shut on weekends beginning in February.
In general the staff were great and very helpful, but I was a bit concerned with the bar. There was a man there who was extremely drunk and very, very creepy - we're talking standing directly behind my girlfriends and smiling creepy - so one of my groomsmen raised the issue with the bar manager. She blew him off.
The guy then approached me and asked me "How much for a night with you?" Needless to say I was a bit taken aback: It was the night before my wedding and I was wearing a conservative dress. I told him, in no uncertain terms, to get away from me and alerted the bar staff *again* that this guy was very drunk and definitely creepy. When I told them what happened they were mortified, but I'm a bit worried that they weren't paying any attention to the alcohol consumption of people in the bar, or heeding warnings.

The Hyatt was exactly what I was looking for my wedding. The view was my number one factor and with the Hyatt I had the best view out there. The service and food were also amazing. It is on the pricey side but I think is worth it for such amazing service and hospitality. Daniel was amazing on our wedding day. I would say that he is the best of the best. Thanks so much!

I got married at the Jersey City Hyatt and the wedding was absolutely beautiful! The food is fantastic and my guests had a wonderful time. I originally did not want to get married in a ballroom in a hotel, but when I saw the stunning views, I knew it would be perfect for us. The ONLY reason I am not giving it 5 stars (I would really give it 4 1/2 , not 4) is due to the communication issues I had with the Hyatt. I originally started working with Jennifer and signed the contract with her. She told us the ballroom was going to be renovated but she did not have any details about what it would look like. We signed the contract late August and did not see the venue again until June. In that time, Jennifer's assistant left the Hyatt and then Jennifer left as well. My wedding was handed over to Sandra Draper. She called me personally to introduce herself and I was excited to work with her. Due to the change of hands, there were certain details that were not clear, like overnight parking, adding a food station during the cocktail hour without charge (that was in my favor) and the final product of the ballroom renovation. Let me just say, when I walked into the ballroom in June, a month before my wedding, I was shocked. They went from a neutral beige carpet to a bright blue one and switched to blue conference chairs. My colors were hot pink and white so everything was going to clash. When I expressed my dismay, Sandra and I agreed that the Hyatt would split the cost of renting silver chiavari chairs. That's the thing about the Hyatt, and Sandra herself, when you are unhappy with something they will do what they can to make it right. I just wish the communication issues we had did not happen at all. That would have greatly reduced my stress level! At the end of the day, we had a fantastic wedding, with all of our guests complimenting the hotel, view & food, and I would book there again.

A great venue AND great food. Our weather was great and the view was all we hoped it would be. The service was so attentive. Six weeks after the wedding, people are commenting on it. Our guests were treated like they were at a top rated restaurant. Daniel the butler was super. Kristine, Anne, and Sandra were always helpful. We did use a wedding planner as well. All in all, we LOVED the experience which is saying a lot when one considers all the stress associated with planning a wedding.

My wife and I had our wedding here. We really lucked out with terrific weather, and the venue was flexible enough to move our ceremony outdoors at practically the last minute. Each bride gets her own butler (ours was Daniel - great!), which comes in really handy (he brings the wedding party food if you're out taking pictures), and eases the stress of the day. The food was great too. Highly recommend.

They are fantastic-- Lindsey is the best at coordinating everything from guest basket drop-offs to the rooms your guest will stay in! She worked hard to make everything so special. You are in great hands with the Hyatt-- they really go above and beyond to make your guests happy. I am so glad we switched our hotel from the W to the Hyatt-- totally a great- and less expensive venture for us! While the Hyatt on the Hudson is not cheap, it's by far worth every penny you spend!! The guest services are fabulous, very NON-NORTHERN personalities (anotherwords, polite!!). Very happy to have gone with The Hyatt and we will definitely be back for our 1-year anniversary!!

We had our intimate wedding ceremony and reception of about 50 guests, at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson in Jersey City this past June. The Only great thing about having a small wedding at the Hyatt is that you still get that BIG view. I found the staff here to be extremely disorganized, and most of whom seemed to hate their jobs. The food tasted great, but we had to actually argue with the staff to get a tasting, which we were originally promised! The staff really did not help out much in the organization on the big wedding day.. and on the day of the wedding, we found out that SOMEONE ate my non-traditional wedding gourmet cupcakes, which I had instead of a cake!

Everything was perfect. The 9th floor ballroom gave a spectacular NYC skyline view. The food was great and they really take care of you. The reception also included a suite for the Bride and Groom which was beautiful. The terrace on the 9th floor provided a space to go and have a drink outside and marvel at the view. Even though the wedding took place mid July, there was a great breeze from the water which kept it cool.;The only problem I had was the cake. The package includes a 'signature wedding cake' and 3 days before my wedding, the baker called me to send him $300 for additional costs.

The view of the New York skyline was the best thing about this location. The ballroom had floor to ceiling windows and it provided for excellent views and an open feeling. The food was really excellent, not at all like hotel food.;The site manager didn't live up to my expectations. She did a decent job, but I expected a little more organization and personal attention on her part.

The room and view were spectacular. The staff went way overboard to accomodate everything we needed. The servcie was excellent and the food was very good for a catered event.;Guest parking fees are high but negotiable even though they say that the parking is a separate vendor and not affiliated with the hotel.
