Less than 6 months out from my wedding, Yannely informed me that she would need to cancel due to "unexpected family commitments". Unfortunate, but understandable and there was no verbiage in the contract that held her to our agreement aside from a return of the deposit. Where my one star review comes in begins at this point. Knowing she was pulling out, Yannely advised that she knew of another stylist who was available for my wedding date. This would typically be appreciated, however this new stylist's prices were triple the cost. Upon reaching out to the new stylist, it appears that Yannely misrepresented how much I was willing to spend to the new stylist, effectively wasting both of our time. When I asked Yannely if she could find a more similarly-priced stylist with similar capability, I was met with no response. When I also inquired why she had misrepresented the cost of our original agreement to the new stylist, I was also met with no response. This kicked off a furious search for a new stylist within my budget in a highly competitive market with limited time. I also had to send a Zelle request for a refund of my deposit, as Yannely did not do so on her own. In summary, while Yannely is a very capable hair stylist, her conduct in my situation makes me question her business practice. I advise anyone interested in working with her to read the contract verbiage closely and use what happened to me as a cautionary tale.
