I held my wedding at the Mark Hopkins this past weekend and wanted to rave about Chrissy Wolfman, their event coordinator. From the first time we looked at the Mark Hopkins over a year ago Chrissy has been super attentive to make sure that we got everything we wanted and more out of our big day. Not all cooridnators work well with other event planners but Chrissy was able to work side by side with our wedding coordinator to make our event, in the words of guests "The best wedding ever." Chrissy handled all of our event rentals, which made three less companies I had to deal with, printed welcome letters for me at the last minute, and surprised us with a framed photo and personal cake when we arrived in our bridal suite after the wedding. Without Chrissy and her team our event would not have been the same. Thank you for an AMAZING event.
This hotel went above and beyond to make sure that me and my guests were taken care of. The room are all impeccable and beautiful. The Top of the Mark has the best view in all of San Francisco! As do most of the rooms. Stay there the next time you are in the city!
Overall, the hotel staff service was below average. We had multiple incidents with the staff that were not pleasant and also, their wedding planners were not very good at communicating with my family. For the actual event, the food was incredible and the event staff (the day of) were extremely helpful.
I was drawn to the Mark Hopkins because of its close proximity to our ceremony venue (Grace Cathedral) on Nob Hill. Once I stepped onto the property, I was impressed by the building's beauty -- it's a beautiful backdrop for a classic, formal reception. The hotel's best asset, however, are its people. Sarah Komar (wedding coordinator) made the process seamless, pleasant, and fun. She is considerate, thorough, and professional. Above all, she was a joy to work with, making the process of planning a wedding just as fun as celebrating it!
