I'm Mia, an award-winning photojournalist, based in Brewster, MA, on Cape Cod and Brooklyn, New York. I am excited to meet you. My approach is documentary in style; I'll capture your love story in split-second, organic moments. I incorporate what I learn about you as a couple over the months leading up to your day to create not only stunning but meaningful, enduring photographs. I’ll help you stay in the moment and during the candid moments- you won’t even know I’m there. I have shot hundreds of weddings on Cape Cod as well as stories for The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and National Geographic. I grew up coming to the Cape every summer and now live in Brewster full-time! I've also lived in Russia, France, and Senegal, San Francisco, New York, and Washington, DC. Every aspect of my life, not only as a photographer, but as a mother, wife, daughter, and friend, informs each image I make. I spot the emotions you are experiencing, creating spaces for you to really hold that experience and capture them. On your wedding day, I will be there for you, every step of the way, from getting ready to closing dances. I'll create the more formal portraits with enthusiasm and gentle direction. The rest of the time, I will be as invisible as possible, capturing all the special moments for you to re-experience! I will confer with you before your wedding day, helping create a timeline so you can be assured you will be enjoying your wedding & not worried about what is happening next. Build your own "package" including options for an engagement session, second photographer, and wedding album. After your wedding, when it's time to kick back with a glass of wine and write those thank-you notes, go through your wedding gallery and decide on wedding prints. I'm available to help you with printing ideas, gifts, and wedding albums.

planning, we had several phone calls and met for a walk through of the venue 2 months before. Our wedding weekend, she came the day before to pick our first look location and came to our rehearsal as well! The day of, she showed up in a big rain coat, ready for any weather (which luckily cleared!!). She was everywhere, getting EVERY shot. As a bride who felt uncomfortable in front of the camera, she was patient and encouraging. She was happy to take as many (golden hour- more portraits please!) or as little (moment after ceremony- private) photos I wanted. In the end, I was amazed at both the quality and quantity of photos she captured. I highly recommend Mia if you want hundreds and hundreds of beautiful photos to remember the big day!

Words can’t express how happy we are with our wedding photos by Mia. We got married in our 40s and our parents have some significant health concerns and we don’t know how long they...

’ll be with us. This may be the last major family gathering with everyone, so the photos were even more important than usual. We shared our situation and our wishes with Mia and she got it, and us, right away. We told her that along with a few posed group shots, we wanted primarily candids of us with our family and friends. She did that and then some, managing to capture the essence of our loved ones so beautifully. We aren’t huge wedding planning people so even the concept of a “first look” was new to us - Mia went above and beyond both in the planning stage and on the wedding day, suggesting things we could consider that might make the day (and photos) more meaningful, but never pushing anything on us. Bottom line, she heard us and tirelessly worked to help create a magical wedding day for us, and a stunning set of shots that represents it. Her photographic eye, equipment, and post-editing skills created very authentic shots that we’ll treasure for a lifetime. We could not be more pleased with the result, or with her. We highly recommend her.

hing. From the very beginning she wanted to get to know us and find out what was most important to us in our photos. We had multiple meetings to discuss our visons and priorities, create a dream timeline together, and ensure that we were all on the same page. We got married at Ocean Edge and she was familiar with the venue and was able to suggest great places to take photos that had great lighting. My wife and I are very analytical and she was able to really create the shot and make us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. She was so helpful ensuring and prioritizing exactly what we wanted in the timeline preparation. We wanted specific photos that felt candid and captured our personality and she helped us ensure the timeline was what we wanted. As part of our package we were able to do an engagement photoshoot such that we could meet in person before wedding day, get used to taking photos, and have beautiful photos of the two of us to use for save dates/invitations and other announcements. Mia comes to the rehearsal to make sure that everyone is on the same page in terms of timeline for wedding day, and organizes the most efficient way to take photos such that there is no chaos on wedding day. On wedding day, she was with us for the entire day and was snapping pictures all night to ensure every perfect moment was captured. She brought along a second photographer to ensure she captured the most important moments! Mia takes amazing photos and knows how to get the shot. When we look at our photos we feel all the same emotions that we felt on wedding day and she truly captured everything as it was. Her work is truly immaculate. We have received countless compliments on the photos and there are photos of everyone at the wedding so all of our guests got great photos taken too! as the right photographer for us. She had secret locations around Provincetown and Wellfleet, understood what I wanted and was really helpful thinking through the shoot. She was great during the photoshoot as well. I had actually planned the photoshoot secretly for the same day as the engagement. I proposed at sunrise that morning, and it was a long day with many conversations and excitement. So when my fiancée and I got to the photoshoot we were really excited, but also pretty worn out from an eventful day. Mia was great at giving direction, giving us ideas on how to pose and not have to think too much about it. She knows how to get great photos out of her subjects, which is the most important trait of a great photographer. The photos came out great, highly recommend Mia.

She is a true journalistic, story-telling, photographer, so it was very important to her to know the background, the people, and our narrative. She worked tirelessly; she never stopped shooting and editing, until she had that perfect shot. Our wedding was intimate, with only 19 people.
