We recently hired DJ MKL with accompanying saxophone, trumpet and percussion for our wedding ceremony. They brought the party alive and kept it going throughout the night. DJ MKL + team were organized, talented, blended a wide range of music together seamlessly, and pleasant to work with throughout the process. Our guests were raving about the DJ + pieces combo, and danced the whole night. Would highly recommend!

We had Jarrell Entertainment provide music for our entire wedding: a string duo for the ceremony, a pianist for cocktail hour, and DJ MKL along with three instrumentalists for the reception. Not only was it a pleasure working with them before the wedding - they were extremely organized and always met our ideas and questions with a "yes" - but their talent really shined at our wedding. Never once did we have to check in on the music or vibe, they truly guided the energy of us and our guests all day long. Would definitely recommend!

The Jarrell Entertainment team is on a different level. DJ Leif spun for my client's 40th birthday and it was just banger after banger after banger. He was SOOO in tune with the crowd. He was perfect. The dance floor was packed. Thank you SO much for always being professional, epic, fun and all around good people. Genuinely, it was one hell of a night because the tone that was set.

My daughter recently got married at Topping Rose in Bridge Hampton. It you are familiar with this beautiful venue you know that that wedding moves from room to room. There are many moving parts ( which could easily be a problem as the musicians move & add on). We did not use a wedding planner. Having said that , I can’t believe how effortlessly it all went off. Not the least was the band! My guests RAVED about how amazing they were. From the beginning ( when everyone gathered, and during the wedding) people were asking where I got them! I am so happy to share that they were all a pleasure to deal with , heard and followed through with every request!!! We kept them longer . Music is such a key element in the success of a party. They OVERDELIVERED ! I would recommend them in a heartbeat .and will continue to use Jarrell entertainment as my go to . Could not be happier!

DJ Othello, the musicians, and the entire Jarrell team were absolutely wonderful. DJ Othello had all of our friends dancing the entire time. I told him I wanted to be dancing 99% of the time, and he made that happen with the best music. Thank you for making this night exactly what we wanted!

Jarrell Entertainment performed at our wedding in The Hamptons and it was spectacular! We never left the dance floor. We had a hybrid band, DJ, singer and they worked so well together. It’s important to share the music you like and just as important songs you don’t like.

We hired New Vibrations calypso band through Jarrell Entertainment for our daughter's wedding and they were definitely a highlight. They had people up dancing and singing along. Highly recommend.

We used the Evolution Band (a hybrid of musicians and a DJ) from Jarrell Entertainment for our wedding. My parents really wanted a band and my now husband wanted a DJ, the Evolution Band was the perfect compromise. People were on the dance floor the entire night, to the point where guests were chanting “one more song!” DJ Matty was amazing and working with Jarrell Entertainment was so great, so responsive and they really took the time to get a feel for what sort of vibe we were going for! I pretty much want to cry of happiness or start dancing of excitement when I think about Ray. My (now) husband and I planned our wedding in less than two months, which you could imagine didn't give us a lot of time for planning. Music was one of those items that we didn't spend a lot of time thinking about we put together a quick playlist of some songs both of us enjoyed and sent it over to Ray and moved onto the other billion things we had to do. Now thinking back I am so glad we didn't put much work into this because Ray doesn't need any help!! He understood the vibe and understood what we liked and made it even better. I remember constantly thinking to myself "we should shazaam this" at the wedding because there were so many amazing songs I knew and had completely forgotten about. Even though I didn't know Ray before the wedding - that night I felt like we must have been long term friends because he understood exactly what my husband and I enjoyed. I wish I could express in words what an amazing night he gave us, but all I can say is BOOK RAY and you will be able to experience what I did. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Jarrell Entertainment made our wedding DJ decision fun and easy! They are not cheesy and really understood our wedding music vibe. They will go above and beyond to make sure your music is exactly what you want while also being creative. DJ Othello got it right - from our cocktail hour music to the reception. He was so great to work with and made sure we were involved on the day without being overbearing or overwhelming. He did a great job announcing each part of the night and really took our music vision and ran with it. He had people up and dancing before dinner even started, and I would recommend DJ Othello and Jarrell Entertainment to anyone!

We were thrilled with the entertainment Ray and his team provided for our wedding at Wolffer Estate. We had a violinist for our ceremony and a DJ/Instrumental combination for the reception. Everyone was raving about the music and said they were the best band they’d seen at a wedding. They flawlessly combined many different genres and decades of different music to please our and our guest’s different tastes. Ray and team were an absolute pleasure to work with and would book them again for any upcoming event. Must book for any weddings in the Hamptons!!!

We loved DJ Stephen from Jarrell! He was a total pro from start to finish. Impeccable. He was so great to talk to in planning our playlist - he knew just what to say, what questions to ask. The day of, he was a consummate professional: ready, did everything right, knew how to talk to the crowd when it was time, and played a great, fun mix. People were in love with him. And he was so friendly! Thank you Stephen! (And thank you Kevin in offices!)

Working with Jarrell Entertainment was important for so many different reasons. My husband and I wanted a entertainment company that really understood our goals and wasn't just going to play a set track. As soon as I heard MKL's mixes I knew he was our DJ. We hired MKL as our DJ and also included a violinist, saxophonist, and guitarist. We also used Jarrell for our uplighting. Ray, Kevin and Michael are true creatives. They are artists through and through. From the music, to lighting, sound checks and more Jarrell Entertainment looked at our event as a creative expression of our wedding and not just a wedding. Kevin orchestrated our event to be spectacular. He made sure the lighting was set to the music, the tone of the event had good vibes and that everyone hit their mark the day of. Kevin worked tirelessly with our venue to make sure that the sound of the event would be correct. I expected a DJ company to bring some speakers and call it a day. That is not at all what you get with Jarrell Entertainment. Kevin and his team brought in several speakers for around the room. They did a proper soundcheck before the event and planned ahead and added additional speakers where needed. They setup proper sound in every area that guests would be including the cocktail space, reception area and the outdoor terrace. Each area had a carefully planned sound system with multiple points for the music to play, not just one large speaker at the front. Kevin also worked with our florist, Ruth Ridgeway, to make sure the lighting captured our florals and made the most out of the room. Michael (MKL), our DJ, was a pleasure to work with. We first spoke with him before booking and knew right after he was the one. Almost 2 years later and after postponing due to COIVD he pulled off an amazing event and created the best mixes. With Jarrell you aren't getting a DJ that you meet the day of. Kevin and Ray (the owner) were always available for us and spent countless hours going over ever detail. They both took the time and energy to run through multiple ways our event could be done being that COVID regulations were constantly changing. I can't thank them enough for being there for my husband and I during that time and for centering us when we had so many "what if" questions. Thank you MKL for being absolutely wonderful, Kevin for pulling off a complicated event in a seamless way, and Ray for always being there!

We had DJ Michael, a trio of musicians, and a photobooth through Jarrell for our wedding in Montauk this month, and we couldn't have been happier! They added so much to our wedding experience and we loved having them there. The company was super organized and responsive as well which made planning easy and less stressful. Highly recommend this company!!

I had a very small wedding (20 people) and it felt unnecessary to have a DJ or live band for the reception. So, I hired Jarrell to set up a speaker at my venue and to have a sound technician on site. They played my selected music and managed the setup and breakdown of the tech. This service was exactly what I was looking for and it worked out great! They can also can curate a playlist for you but we already knew what we wanted. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a four piece band at my wedding and the ceremony and reception were absolutely perfect. They took care of everything and were very easy to plan with and flexible. Hopefully I won't be having another wedding but if I ever need to hire anyone for music it will 100% be Jarrell Entertainment.

They crushed our silent disco after party! They knew the vibe we were going for and played some great remixes of songs we love. They can tailor the music perfectly to what you want. They were a pleasure to work with and we can’t recommend them enough!

Kevin & his team with Jarrell Entertainment were so fantastic to work with. My husband and I had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID & they were so understanding in making sure they were still available for our big day. My husband and I loved working with Jarrell Entertainment. We hired them as the DJ for our recent wedding and ended up adding an electric violin, saxophone and percussionist. They made the planning process incredibly easy, providing us with playlists and consulting on the vibe we wanted for our wedding. Each segment of the event, from the ceremony to cocktails to dinner to dancing was perfect and they incorporated the live instruments beautifully. They were also very accommodating when it came to complying with covid restrictions. I would highly recommend them and would definitely work with them again in the future.

We loved working with Jarrell. Kevin and Raymond were extremely professional and responsive. They patiently answered our million questions leading up to the wedding and took our many changes in direction in stride. On the day of, the band was excellent and every single one of our guests mentioned how much enjoyment they got from listening. They even learned a Springsteen song for our walk down the aisle – which made the day feel even more personal (and frankly, they did a great job even though you wouldn’t think the song would translate well into a jazz quartet rendition 😊). Outstanding!! Loved our DJ Ray, he was amazingly personable, highly responsive to guests and great to work with. Kevin was terrific as the contact person and I can't say enough about the lovely classical duo-Emily & Susan, they played while guests arrived, when bridal party walked in etc...

We had the great opportunity to work with DJ Matty for our October 2019 wedding!!! The Sax and Percussionist that Jarrell Entertainment provided did an OUTSTANDING job highlighting DJ Matty's playlist. Our dance floor was PACKED the entire time which is what we told DJ Matty we wanted when we first met with him. Every single song we requested was played and our guests are STILL talking about the music and entertainment we had our wedding. I wish we can do it all over again!!

DJ FLO was the highlight of my July 2019 wedding. I have received so many compliments on the music choices and I'd love to take all the credit but it was all him! DJ Matty and Jarrell Entertainment are the BEST! Matty had all of the guests at our June Wedding on the dance floor the entire time! The team was very flexible and responsible with song requests and transporting systems from cocktail hour to reception to after party. I cannot recommend them enough - they are a must for any big party or wedding you're having!

Jarrell Entertainment was a pleasure to work with! From start to finish, we had a great experience. I enjoyed speaking with Ray and JD throughout. They coordinated calls for us to compared different DJs/MCs and when I spoke with ours, I knew it was a match. We had DJ FLO and MC Lonnie at our wedding. JD helped coordinate everything throughout and he was truly a pleasure to work with! For MC Lonnie, I knew he was a match the first time I spoke with him on the phone. He completely got my vision for the wedding and very personable. We also really connected personally so I was excited to finally meet him on the wedding day! I knew he would be very professional to work with but also fun! He did a great job navigating our wedding, as we had a few unique elements throughout. Our wedding was black tie, and he kept it very professional but also got the energy up when we wanted it to be! DJ FLO was a pleasure to work with. He understood the mix of music we were looking for, for our wedding and really made it come to life! He absolutely killed it during our dance set of the night and everyone was up out of their seats dancing, regardless of age! I remember wanting the dance portion to continue because it was that much fun. If you have the chance to work with them, I highly recommend you do!

Jarrell did an amazing job organizing both the ceremony and reception music for the wedding. The jazz trio for the ceremony was fantastic, even agreeing to learn a guitar solo for my walk down the aisle. DJ Flo was absolutely awesome at the reception. I want to enthusiastically recommend Jarrell Entertainment. JD on the front end is a super nice guy who is so helpful and easy to work with. We used DJ MKL and he was also very very good. We had wanted a DJ that was great with the music but not TOO much of a “personality.” MKL was just the right match for our party at the Gramercy Park Hotel. You will not be disappointed if you use him!!

Joel was our DJ, and he was incredible. He was so warm, and made it easy to share our vision. He took the time to meet with us, and truly played all of our favorite songs. Joel also played for our ceremony, and the music was amazing. It was our best dance party, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great the music was. JD helped to coordinate everything, and he took the time to answer all of our questions. We are so glad we chose Jarrell Entertainment, and we are so appreciative of all of their hard work. *We got married at the Picnic House in Prospect park.*

Jarrell Entertainment was so great to work with. JD in the admin office was super sweet and really helpful with any questions. We had DJ MKL play our wedding at Parker New York on 5.12.18 and he BLEW US AWAY!! We knew he was perfect for us when we spoke with him on the phone about a year before our wedding, and then we met with him and the sax player, Dave, a couple weeks prior to our wedding and felt so great, like he totally heard us and “got us”. Then on the wedding day, everything he played was PERFECT. He read the crowd and strung the songs together in the most perfect way - there wasn’t a single song that was a miss. He and Dave totally gave us the dance party we wanted. We could not have been happier with our choice of Jarrell - MKL and Dave.

Jarrell has a large list of DJs and we chose MKL after listening to his mixes which are on the Jarrell website. Everyone in the office was great to work with, and MKL was very helpful with getting us started on the timeline for the evening. He was so great to work with the day of, and many people came up to us to say he was one of the best DJs they have seen at a wedding.

The team at Jarrell Entertainement were great, Uma was so helpful. DJ Flo was awesome, such a character. The moment we heard his mixes we knew he was the DJ for us. He is really skilled, not to mention just totally got our music vibe. My husband and I have very different music tastes and he was able to marry our choices perfectly and keep the guests dancing throughout the night. He also did a great job on timings with our wedding planner to make sure that speeches, and announcements were perfectly well, announced! We were super impressed! Can't recommend him and the Jarrell team enough.

I cannot speak highly enough about Jarrell Entertainment... they were wonderful to work with and made the entire process seamless for us. From our original contact with them going over preliminary plans, to when we got into more specific details, choosing a DJ and a live music trio, picking music, going over last-minute details... everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and not one detail slipped through the cracks. Lastly, we had some very last-minute changes that were out of our control, and they could not have been more accommodating and understanding. Ray & Uma (whom we dealt with for all of the organizing) were incredible, and DJ FLO brought the house down at the wedding. We highly recommend working with this wonderful organization.

We had DJ Flo at our wedding and loved his vibe. When we had our entrance, he did pronounce some of the bridal party names wrong so that was kind of disappointing. All of our guests seemed to be having a good time on the dance floor. Overall, the whole experience with Jarrell Entertainment was great.

Fantastic experience with Jarrell. They made it really easy to select music. They also paired us with a DJ based on our collective taste. DJ Matty was phenomenal. He made great suggestions and really made the event flow well. I still have people tell me how great our wedding DJ was, a year and a half later.

DJ Flo spun at my April Wedding at Guastavino's and he KILLED IT. The night was AMAZING, mostly due to Flo's talents. We got a massive dance floor and it was completely packed until the party ended at 1 am. Even then, the venue had trouble kicking people out because our guests were so hyped up. All of our guests were asking us how we found the DJ and telling us that every song was better than the next. He was spot on. We could not be happier and it's clear that our guests felt the same. 2 weeks later we are still getting DJ compliments, everyone wants a piece of Flo!! Throughout the whole planning process, Ray and Uma were helpful and attentive and such a calming presence in bringing our dream party to life. THANK YOU for making our night such a success.

Working with Ray and everyone at Jarrell Entertainment was a PHENOMENAL experience! We were on the fence about whether to get a DJ or a band and it took about 2 minutes into speaking with Ray to realize that he was exactly what we were looking for! His music knowledge is incredible and his passion for music and creating unforgettable events is evident as soon as he starts speaking. Ray frequently expressed excitement about our wedding and this excitement was felt by every single one of our guests on the day. It was the most fun party we could have imagined and that was exactly what we told Ray we wanted. My now husband and I did not leave the dance floor all night and Ray made sure to keep the energy up so that the party felt like it would never end. We have not spoken to a single guest since our wedding who has not commented on our "awesome DJ" and the "absolutely amazing music." Not everyone wants a non-stop party at their wedding, but for couples looking for a party that their guests will be talking about for years to follow, Ray Jarrell is the best music choice you can make!

DJ Matty was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. He kept the dance floor full the entire night without needing to rally people. He was super organized before as well and scheduled multiple calls to make sure he understood what was wanted. Highly recommend.

DJ MKL was INCREDIBLE! Our guests were raving about the music all night and saying it was the best wedding dance party they have ever been to. My husband and I did not leave the dance floor once! DJ MKL did an amazing job of playing the right songs at the right moments - timing them perfectly during dinner/speeches and throughout the night. He managed to play everything we wanted to hear, songs our parents had requested and songs we didn't even know we wanted and the playlist flowed together seamlessly. He is truly talented. From the very first phone call I had with him I knew we were in great hands and that we could trust him to make our party a memorable one. Jarrell Entertainment provided excellent service throughout the entire process and both Uma and Ray were professional and super responsive. We booked a jazz trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour, a black & white dance floor to enhance our NYC reception space, and of course DJ MKL - they were all perfection!!!

You can't go wrong with Jarrell Entertainment. A friend of mine, who is a weddings editor, recommended the company to me as the best in the business, and she was SO right. From my initial conversation with the company's lovely coordinator, Uma, to the execution on our big day, they handled everything with kind, accommodating professionalism. We hired both our DJ for the reception, and our string trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour, through Jarrell. Our trio went above and beyond, rearranging my father's favorite (and too-long) Bach cello suite so that it would work for my processional, and adding two very specific songs to their repertoire (the Cantina Song from Star Wars, and the theme from the Legend of Zelda) as a surprise for my admittedly kind-of-geeky husband (he loved it!). Joel, our DJ, was equally as incredible. During our initial conversation, he and my English husband-to-be bonded over their love and knowledge of British rock, and he made sure to include lots of it in his set to keep our UK guest contingent on the floor. He so understood our very specific taste in music, that he managed to completely surprise me (although I don't think he knew it), but landing on one of my all-time favorite songs by a kind of obscure 90's band for our cake-cutting, even though the only instructions we had given him for that moment were "I didn't know people picked music for this! Just play whatever you think will work." All of our guests have told us that our wedding has been the most fun, and that's all due to Joel. Even our florist, who had arrived to break down as our final song had just started, said the moment nearly had her in tears. We can't recommend Jarrell Entertainment and Joel enough!

Jarrell Entertainment is EXCELLENT. Uma Incrocci, the coordinator, is so easy to work with and super responsive. She helped us to pick the right DJ from JE's lineup for our desired wedding atmosphere. We had DJ Nick spin for us at our reception. He was the best. He was readily available to talk and email with me before the wedding about song requests, playlists, and timing. He was very easy going and understood everything that we wanted for our reception. We felt so confident that the night was going to go well. On the night of we were blown away. Every guest at our wedding wanted to know where we found our incredible DJ. We ended up dancing through the whole reception - something we didn't plan for, but we couldn't stay off the dance floor! If you want to have the most fun dancing at your wedding with no worries and guaranteed professionalism, choose DJ Nick and Jarrell Entertainment.

DJ Matty was AMAZING. He came highly recommended and when we met him prior to our wedding he instantly grasped the kind of music/party we were trying to create. We both have very specific taste in music so we wanted to make sure to communicate our preferences, and within five minutes of meeting Matty, we knew our wedding was in good hands. We had the utmost trust in him right from that first meeting, and he went above and beyond to deliver on those expectations. He was absolutely fantastic and we would recommend him to anyone having any type of event where music is a priority.

Seriously, look no farther. Working with Ray and Jarrell Entertainment was a dream and we cannot recommend them enough! My husband and I fell in love with our venue and were bummed to hear that we could not have a band due to size/sound restrictions, so it was extremely important to us that we had an incredible DJ. Ray exceeded all of our expectations! Ray has an online planner that you fill out to give him an idea of what you are going for, but he also agreed to meet with us in person one weekend to discuss our vision for the night. He truly delivered – dinner had a swanky, 1920’s vibe that we were going for and the dance floor was packed during the reception. He perfectly mixed oldies (including the electric slide, a requirement from my dad!) and new songs - people are still talking about how amazing the music was. We also worked with Jarrell Entertainment’s live jazz trio, who played during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Bryan and his guys were also incredible, customizing the entire set. Live music made the beginning of our night that much more memorable.

From start to finish Jarrell Entertainment was organized, friendly, and reliable. Uma answered all my questions when I emailed her. We met with DJ Matty a few weeks before our wedding and he understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. We definitely felt like we were in good hands. In the beginning I had my heart set on a band, but the prices were outrages. So we wanted to come up with something that was the best of both worlds. To say that it rained on the day of our wedding is an understatement. It poured, was cold, and windy. However, we were all toasty, warm on the dance floor with great music. We had a soloist at the ceremony, who did a great job despite the whipping rain and wind. We then moved under a pavilion for the cocktail hour we had the jazz trio entertain us. They got rave reviews from our guests. Finally, DJ Matty helped us party the night away. The weather through us some curve balls that day and we needed to change a lot of things...I didn't even need to worry about the music...I knew it was taken care of. Bravo to Jarrell Entertainment, we appreciate your professionalism and great musicians!

DJ Flo was fantastic at keeping our dancing alive and guests on the dance floor. A goal of ours heading into the wedding was to keep guests energetically on the dance floor. DJ Flo was fantastic at doing that, putting on great music everyone loved with great remixing when song needed it for dancing. He was also great and working with us / spending time with us in listening to our input and putting it together with his entire playlist. Would highly recommend!

Ray and the Jarrell crew were awesome from beginning to end. From the start Ray and his team were very easy and professional to deal with, coming highly recommended from the venue and our caterer. On the evening Ray killed it, reading the crowd perfectly and had the whole place up and partying for the entire night. Great mixture of music for all the guests and if something wasn't working as well, seamlessly moved on to something else which kept the party going (never had a down moment). Nearly all the guests after the evening commented he was the best DJ they'd seen at a wedding and were gutted it had to end. Ray was also very good playing before the ceremony and perfectly got our mood / style for the whole wedding. Great bloke also.

DJ Joel really helped make our wedding night perfect. Joel took the time to meet us in person a few weeks before our wedding. He is such a nice guy and so easy to talk to. He really gave us great advice and helped us plan the flow of our reception. One of our most important goals for our wedding reception was to keep people on the dance floor (including us) all night. Joel really did a remarkable job playing our style of music and keeping everyone having an incredible night. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and Joel was a huge part of making it that way.

DJ Matty was FANTASTIC. From our initial meeting to our wedding, he was extremely professional, funny, humble, and invested in the success of our event. Matty made suggestions that made our wedding well-paced and focused on the party. His experience has given him a great understanding for the rhythm of a wedding dance party. Matty was quick to pick up on our style and preferences, and knew the right song for the moment in our wedding. We highly recommend DJ Matty and the Jarrell Entertainment staff.

Our point person at the main office always responded to emails in a timely manner and was happy to answer any questions we had. My now-husband met with DJ Stephen and the two clicked immediately. Stephen was incredibly flexible and willing to work with us; he even offered to bring his personal vinyl collection to the reception! Prior to the wedding, we filled out a music list on their website. The music list was very extensive and covered a wide array of genres to make everybody happy. On the wedding day, Stephen was professional, fun, and laid back. He read the crowd really well and had everyone on the dance floor between dinner courses. The floor was PACKED and everyone was having such a fun time that we asked Stephen to stay an additional hour, which he was more than happy to do. When he mixed Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" with Outkast's "Hey Ya" (Shake it like a Polaroid picture!) I just about swooned with happiness. Needless to say, Stephen and Jarrell Entertainment helped make our wedding a blast for ourselves and our guests. An engaged friend asked me for Stephen's information the next day because she liked the music so much--highly recommended!

My husband and I got married on August 30, 2014 at the Garrison. When we were looking for vendors, music was a huge huge priority on our list. When we finally found Jarell entertainment--we were immediately impressed. Uma is amazing. She is SO RESPONSIVE, so sweet, and all around awesome at her job. Thank you for always responding to our questions and concerns Uma--it was so greatly appreciated. When we first met with DJ Matty--he was early, and met us up by our apartment for coffee. I was at comfortable with him from the start, and really appreciated that he had just gotten married himself, and really understood how important this was to me. He answered every question I had and continued to do so throughout the whole process. Before our wedding we had a second meeting with him, and he was prepared with all the right questions, and even had suggestions for songs to dance with my brother to and so on when I was stumped. He ended up doing an amazing job at the wedding and listened to every single one of my requests--not one song that i had asked for during our meeting was left out that night. My husband and I had a BLAST, and more importantly so did our guests. Many commented in the weeks after the wedding on how great our DJ was, and how he got everyone on the dance floor--both young and old. In addition we had a trio play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were also awesome! they sounded so lovely during the ceremony and even learned a song that we requested during the processional--i sill remember hearing it and what a happy moment it was. I loved everyone I worked with here, and if I could do it all over again I would choose DJ Matty and request that all of my vendors have someone as great and responsive as Uma in charge..

My wife and I got married on August 1st. After much searching we found Jarrell Entertainment. Their coordinator Uma was very professional and was very quick to respond to any concerns. After talking to a few of their DJs we decided on DJ Matty. Matty could not have been a better DJ. He was early to every pre-wedding meeting, taking notes and going over all of our likes and dislikes. On the day of the wedding he was extremely prompt. The night flowed perfectly. Matty played all of our favorite tunes and keep our guests on their feet all night long. We never had to be concerned with any of the music. If your looking for a professional company at affordable prices, my wife and I highly recommend Jarrell Entertainment and DJ Matty. John and Jane.

Wow, did we hit the jackpot when we booked Ray for our June 28 wedding in Pittsburgh PA. It was a big decision to fly our DJ in from NYC .. there was the price difference from the local DJ's and of course the added travel expense. I had some convincing to do just to get my husband to meet with Ray, but he had come highly recommended and that was all I needed. Well, meeting Ray was all my husband needed, they "connected", he understood us,what we wanted and the choice was made. The party did not stop at the reception..REALLY, it didn't and people are still talking about the music. He helped us with the music, rehearsal, ceremony and cocktail hour..we could not have been happier. I hope you are lucky enough and Ray is available. Uma as well, his business partner, super easy to work with...thanks Ray and Uma for making our weekend so so so amazing!!! LUCKY US!!!

I feel like I won't even have enough room here to say all that I need to. Everyone at Jarrell Entertainment was fantastic! From beginning, to end, to even after our event. We had DJ Matty, and I was on the dance floor the ENTIRE night, which is a miracle since I don't dance normally! Uma and Ray were so great as well - they were super helpful, and you could tell that the whole crew just loves weddings and making the bride and groom happy. They did an amazing job too. Super professional, extremely friendly, and just a joy to work with. Matty really knew how to make the night exactly what we wanted. We had a few special request, and he did so well with warning us about dances that were coming up, or asking us when we would like certain events to happen. He had his work cut out for him too, because we really did have a list of special requests (dances with bride/dad, groom/stepmom, dance dedicated to brides parents, dance dedicated to grooms parents, dance with bride/great uncles, garter toos, bouquet toss, etc.). We were looking into having a percussionist accompany the dj in the beginning of our wedding planning, but it didn't make the final budget cut (the pricing wasn't bad - we just simply ran out of money toward the end of the planning..). Uma was so helpful with everything and really shared our excitement leading up to our big day. We've already told Matty that we are hiring him for any other event in our lives that could use a dj! My best advice is to go hear the djs from Jarrell Entertainment play at a bridal show - you really get a fantastic sense of how they work, and how fun they can make music/the wedding planning process!

When I first started wedding planning, I was hesitant about using a DJ. I didn't want your typical wedding DJ and MC who is on the mic all night harassing your guests to get up and dance. Don't get me wrong, I love that at other weddings, but at my own, I wasn't interested... A friend told me she attended a wedding where DJ Stephen from Jarrell Entertainment dj'ed and how incredible he was. The next say I reached out and we set up a meeting. Upon our first chat over coffee, I knew I was sold! Stephen was AMAZING!! So knowledgeable in the music space and understood exactly what I did and didn't want within 5 minutes of chatting. He basically told me, if I wanted him to chat it up all night he would, but if not, he'd let the music speak for itself. We booked Jarrell Entertainment that same day, which was early on in our planning process. Over the next year, I'd email Uma and Dj Stephen probably 3 times a week (SORRY!) and they always got back to me immediately and NEVER seemed annoyed by my harassment. The day of our wedding was by far the best day of our lives, and DJ Stephen played a huge part in making it as incredible as it was. He was early, scoped out the scene, talked to us about his plan for the night... AMAZING! I give him so so much credit because our music list was ALL OVER the place!! I had every genre of music incorporated into the list and he made it all work!! My husband already told me he wants DJ Stephen back for his 40th bday (which I assume I need to start planning ;-)) Thank you to Jarrell Entertainment and especially DJ Stephen for bringing such amazing energy and music to our special day!

Jarrell Entertainment was amazing to work with right from the start. They were very courteous and professional. They asked us a few questions about us and our wedding and then suggested a DJ. After that we met up with the DJ, who was Stephen, and we instantly connected and felt he was the DJ we wanted. Stephen was great to work with an was easy to communicate with and meet with in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding. Jarrell Entertainment has a music list that they have to fill out to help their DJ's create their music lists for the night. We met with Stephen to go over our music list and he answered any and all of our questions and we felt confident that he would be great on our big day. At our reception he played all the music we said we definitely wanted to hear and didn't play any of the songs on our "do not play" list. He was so amazing that no one wanted to leave the dancefloor! He kept the dance floor packed all night long and people who never dance got out there to bust a move! He was an incredible DJ that made our big day so much better!

From beginning to end, working with Ray and Uma was a pleasure. They made it so easy and even fun. They captured exactly what we wanted for the event. They were always available to us. Couldn't have ben nicer. On the night of the event, Ray showed up in tux and looked every bit the part of the celebrity DJ. At the end of the evening we shared a drink at the bar as he become family!

Don't even bother looking elsewhere. If you want a guaranteed good-time at your wedding, choose Ray Jarrell for your DJ. His knowledge of music is extensive. He is professional, creative, flexible, accommodating, responsive, warm and fun! He's the guy you want not only to create the perfect vibe at each moment, but the guy you want to have a beer with. From the moment we met Ray, he felt like an old friend I met at a live show years ago. He orchestrated every moment with perfection. His love for music is apparent and his ideas for how to step things up made our reception even more fun than we imagined as he brought in a percussionist that played alongside him and our guests loved it! It brought in a live element which was unique to any DJ I have seen. My favorite moment with Ray actually had little to do with his unmatchable talent but with his warmth and relaxing nature. When I walked into the ceremony room and everyone was standing up and looking at me walk to the aisle, my heart was pounding out of my chest. I was overwhelmed with the moment as all of the planning the months prior led up to that very moment when it was all going to begin and the most important moment of my life was about to happen. When I looked around the room, I saw the many familiar faces of our friends and family and then I saw Ray with a huge smile on his face and I smiled big right back. That moment put everything into perspective and I instantly became relaxed and ever so present as I walked down the aisle to the rest of my life.....Do it, choose Ray!

We absolutely loved working with Ray Jarrell and the rest of the Jarrell Entertainment team. Ray, Uma and DJ MKL went above and beyond to make everything seamless for the wedding. MKL was amazing - from planning the music for the event all the way through helping us set up sound for our rehearsal dinner and keeping everyone going all night at the wedding. He is extremely talented and wonderful to work with. We had the best dance part of our lives. We would highly highly recommend using Jarrell Entertainment for any event!

Planning a wedding from overseas is no easy feat, but Jarrell Entertainment made it very easy for us. Aside from the expected awesomeness (everyone dancing the whole night and saying how much they loved the music selection), there were some key things Matty worked out such as our tricky timing of the processional music - lots of blends so that the music sounded seamless but was really 3 different parts of the same song (very well done), and since my husband and I didn't really have a first dance choreographed, he knew how long was enough :)

I spoke at length with Ray Jarrell before deciding on his services for my NYC wedding. He answered every question and instilled confidence in my decision, especially since I was planning my wedding from Ohio. He asked about my vision for my wedding, what my needs were, and recommended DJ Matty to fit my taste. DJ Matty was incredible. He was flexible in setting up a face-to-face meeting, after multiple flight delays and travel issues. He went over the wedding plan in detail and quickly answered all of my questions whether it was by email, text, or phone. People were dancing the entire night, and we even extended the reception for another hour because everyone was having so much fun. I know I am slightly biased because it was my wedding, but I agree with many of the guests who said that dancing at our wedding was one of the most fun nights they had ever had, and we have DJ Matty to thank for that. He played everything I wanted and avoided anything I didn't want to hear. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and fun. Their prices seemed equivalent to other quality DJs in NYC and their services exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Jarrell Entertainment and DJ Matty to anyone and would use them again if the occasion arises.

If you're looking for a wedding DJ, look no further. Jarrell Entertainment is absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I set up interviews with several DJs in New York in search of a DJ who would do his job to keep the dance floor alive and the party rocking, animated and fun for guests of all ages. What we absolutely were NOT looking for was an emcee after listening to a DJ at a friend's wedding painfully interrupt the wedding toasts to provide his own commentary! We met with Ray and one of his newly hired DJs and instantly knew all other bets were off. Ray only employs the best DJs: professional, accommodating, experienced, & capable of bringing an unforgettable reception to life. About three months out, Ray and his assistant Uma sent us a twenty-odd page document, which referenced much of their musical library by decade. We indicated our favorite songs to help them get a flavor of our musical tastes. Being the Type-A bride I was, I then actually sent them additional word documents listing out the types of genres I preferred as well as a "do NOT play list," and they accommodated such detail and scrutiny with grace (and they delivered... keeping true to their promises to repeatedly fend off requests on said DNP list). Our DJ was more than willing to discuss everything with us from specific song requests to the flow, transition and timing of the big day, leaving us rest assured that the night would go off without a hitch. Sure enough, the night was more than we could ever have hoped for. Our DJ had the guests up on the floor the second the mother/son dance ended and the dance floor didn't clear until the hall's staff was literally ushering people outside to see us off. After cutting our cake, our Maitre D' actually pulled us aside quickly and stated, "Wow, your DJ is unbelievable!" We were like....yeaaa, we know.

DJ Matty was recommended by a friend ad did not disappoint! EVERYONE was talking about how he was the best wedding DJ they had ever experienced. Ray, the owner, was also amazing. He made everything so easy, and was very flexible. It was a refreshing experience after having been "worked over" by another company. They gave us lists and suggestions to choose from, and let us dictate exactly what we wanted, while staying within our price range. Matty was EARLY and made sure we didn't worry about anything. We had a truly awesome time!

Let's cut straight to the chase--Ray and his team are AMAZING! If we could give them a 10/10, we would. The next time we have a special occasion where we can hire a DJ, Ray will be our guy! My husband and I interviewed a bunch of bands and DJs in the NYC area for our June 2010 wedding at the W NY. Here was our list of “musts”: -A GREAT mix of music -Someone who understood us and could build on our music taste -Reasonable price with no hidden fees -Someone who could cater to our friends, parents and grandparents -Someone who could keep the dace floor packed all night -Someone who is as passionate about music as my husband and I are -Someone who would not take over the evening with announcements and one-liners -Professionalism and NO cheese When we first talked to Ray, we immediately knew that he was not your average wedding DJ. He had all of our “musts” and had worked with the best and had built a reputation for packing the floor. There is no cheese with Ray. He has great taste in music and knows how to read the crowd unlike anyone I’ve seen before. Not only is he talented and extremely professional, he is also well connected! Ray helped us secure a drummer (amazing), a three piece band AND our wedding videographers—who were beyond fabulous. On the day of our wedding, Ray literally blew us away! Almost a year later, all of our friends are STILL talking about the music and how much fun they had dancing. My mother-in-law, who is somewhat difficult to please and not a fan of DJs, actually asked Ray to stay and play for an extra hour because she—and everyone else— enjoyed the music so much! We can’t thank the guys at Jarrell Entertainment enough for a fantastic job!!
