What an incredible VENUE!!! Sierra was amazing and so was her team. They took care of us. They asked great questions and got details that they needed. The coordinated great with our wedding coordinator, Tanairy. Everything the day of the wedding was done the right way and I wasn’t worried about anything. The Estate on Second is an incredible venue and you don’t have to do much to it to make it look beautiful. The food at the venue was incredible and people couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The venue is great since the cocktail hour takes place upstairs and then you come downstairs for dinner and the rest of the reception. It breaks up the day nicely. Thank you again to the team and Jay’s Catering!

My husband and I were blown away by the quality of food we had for our wedding. We had SO many guests tell us after about how much they loved it and many said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We enjoyed the Taste of Jay's event we were able to attend to try the variety of food Jay's offers. Food is a big deal to my husband, so he wanted a good meal for our first meal together as husband and wife. Jay's surpassed our expectations and the service was amazing as well! Jay's Catering was a great match for our wedding! I was worried about booking my wedding at the Estate on Second because I only had one choice in vendor, but it turns out that the vendor was perfect! Jay's was professional, served high quality food, and were VERY accommodating to my guests. All of our guests commented on the food positively, especially the tacos and small dessert options! Thanks Jay's!

We had a really good experience with Jay's overall. We were connected with them by our venue (they required that we used one of their preapproved caterers). After submitting a pricing request we were connected with a rep who we worked with from getting an initial quote to the day before the wedding. The process of working withthe rep is the reason we've given them 4 stars rather than 5. There were moments that were a lot of fun like when we went to the tasting they hosted for Brides and Grooms but there were also moments where the largest stresser in the wedding planning process was Jay's. We often times had to reiterate decisions several times because they had either not read previous messages, forgotten what we had told them, or were a bit disorganized. There were moments where we were pressed repeatedly for a response when we were still planning or making a decision. On the day of the actual wedding though, they were a dream. They executed everything we planned perfectly and our event captain, Aaron Caastaneda, and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I really can't sing Aaron's praises enough. 5 stars for Aaron! The food was also delicious and our guest had nothing but good things to say about the service they recieved!

We loved that Jay's Catering also owned our venue which made planning such a breeze. What truly made Jay's amazing what the service provided by their staff, especially Hannah, Hannah was always so responsive to the millions of questions we had, and accommodated our special requests. The feedback we received from guests was that the food was amazing (definitely not banquet food) and the catering staff was on point. Jay's also gives you the leftovers from your event which is so much better than throwing it away and after your event you'll have amazing food that you don't need to prepare. Jay's is more of an a la carte instead of different packages so be prepared for that, but they are definitely worth every dime!

Originally I was apprehensive about Jays as it is pretty pricey but at the end of the day every detail of their service and food was remarkable. Patti Robledo (our jays representative) was so organized and covered every last detail of every part of our meal, service, bar and even details like venue layout and extra details I didn’t even expect to be part of her job . She was awesome to work with!

If you've never tried Jay's Catering, you may want to do so at your earliest convenience. Not only is their food DELICIOUS but their staff is professional and personable. Our guests were very well taken care of and could not stop raving about how good our food was at our wedding! We also got a cake through Jay's and our guests raved about that, too. If you're looking for a professional catering company that does a nice job and that has amazing food, Jay's is it.

It's been three weeks, and I still have people telling me how amazing the food was at our wedding. From hors d'oeuvres, dinner, our cake, and late-night snacks, everything was absolutely delicious. Aside from their amazing food (seriously, so so good), their team is extremely professional and responsive- Eunice was great to work with and was receptive to my excessive emails/quote adjustments up until the week of our wedding! My husband and I will find every opportunity we can to hire Jay's again- you won't regret it!

Jay's was amazing and their food was delicious! When my husband and I went to taste the food it was a easy stress free experience! Brandon let us take our time and answered our questions as we tasted the choices we picked. So many of our guests complimented on the dishes that we chose for our wedding! We picked Asian style dishes and Brandon was so response in all of the emails I sent making sure that everything was perfect for us! The sake cocktail we chose was amazing and all of our guests loved it! We even got small sandwiches with cookies and a small bottle of champagne left by Brandon after our wedding! Jay's did a fabulous job on our wedding. Hannah was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process! She was very helpful in choosing our menu, and was very accommodating throughout the process. Their tasting was a great way to experience all the different types of food they have. Would definitely use them again if we need caterers.

All our guests loved the food, the wedding went off without a hitch and I could not asked for a more friendly or wonderful bar and wait staff. Simply outstanding and the price was much more reasonable then other catering companies I was looking at.

We found out about Jay's through The Loft on Pine as they are one of their preferred vendors. Compared to the other preferred vendors, their prices were more reasonable and the food was more streamlined and straightforward than the other options. Since using them, I would have chosen them again in a heartbeat because of a slew of other reasons too -- everyone raved about the food at our wedding, we had a wide variety of options and they were flexible to swap in veggie/vegan versions of their existing dishes (salad w/o cheese for example), and Hannah, who we worked with was fantastic throughout. My parents went to the couples' tasting since my husband and I live in Seattle, and they were also incredibly pleased with the service, kind people, and great working relationship that we had with the folks at Jay's.

Jay’s is amazing! Nickie was our coordinator and she was fantastic. She worked with me on the different types of menus I wanted to explore. She was extremely responsive and so helpful. The food was AMAZING. We had brisket, chicken, a mashed potato bar, and more. The Jay’s staff were very professional on the night of the wedding. Our dinner was served buffet style. Before the guests went to the buffet, the Jay’s team brought a plate of food to my husband and I at our sweetheart table. I thought this was so sweet since most people say “you don’t have time to eat on your wedding day.” When we left, they gave us a goodie box with a mini bottle of champagne, sandwiches, chips, and a cookie. It was so thoughtful. I’m so happy we used Jay’s. We’ve used them at family and church gatherings for years, but their wedding menu and staff blew me away.

Nickie from Jay's was great to work with. She helped us every step of the way. Jay's Catering did everything for our reception. Food, bar, cake, and dessert station along with rentals. It made the process so easy to have everything in one place. Our guests said the food was great and loved the dessert bar. Staff were polite and very helpful.

Jays catering is absolutely AMAZING. They catered my wedding just this last weekend, and they went above and beyond. April was a pleasure to work with, she was always on top of things and was quick to respond to emails. The food was wonderful, we had Italian and we got many compliments from our guest about how good our food was! At the end of the night Jays even gave us a care package with a little midnight snack, knowing the bride and groom don't get much to eat on their wedding night because of nerves. My family has also used Jays for other family events like Baby Showers and Memorial Services. Hands down I would use Jays again and again!

They were a preferreed vendor at our wedding venue, and April was a dream to work with! She was receptive and prompt with all her e-mails, and never left me wondering if things would be done correctly or not. Especially during crunch time the last week, and a few things had to be changed around. She was also the site coordinator that day as well, and was on top of everything catering related! The food was also amazing, and everyone at the wedding could not stop talking about it. Especially the Mac and Cheese Bar and Dessert Bar! The bartenders were also great, we had an open bar and they were appropriate with making strong enough drinks and not under or over pouring. Would definitely recommend Jay's for any of your next events!

I worked with April and Emily for one of my best friend’s wedding. They check off all of the necessary boxes (high quality food, solid rates and customized options) but they go beyond the necessary. Their team truly cares about their clients and it shows in each touchpoint they have with clients. Everything was perfect for my wedding day! The company is really amazing and the tastings you get to do before the wedding are to die for! The pricing is really budget friendly and they have a huge selection to work with.

I worked with Jays catering for my October 2014 wedding. From the beginning of the process, my fiancé and loved the tasting experience. The food was great and had the same quality at our wedding. Through the planning process, I worked with two coordinators ending with Lauren who was great! She was very quick to respond to my emails, always professional and polite, and very patient with my MANY emails! Lauren was also very accommodating in having a two sided buffet per my request, providing table numbers, etc. I wish the cake tasting would have a little larger pieces of cake, but I did appreciate being able to take 4 people for free. There were many upcharges for cake flavors and frosting options, so we chose the basics. From what I heard from my parents and guests, the service at the wedding was great and the food as well. We received many compliments on the variety of food at the buffet and its quality. My fiancé and I especially appreciated receiving our own tray of appetizers and champagne after the ceremony. We were able to enjoy a nice, quiet moment alone. There seemed to be many additional charges for service, extra servers and bartenders, and many charges around the installation of our dance floor, but this is probably similar to any catering or rental company. Overall, we were very happy with the service and food received from Jay's catering!

Think twice... Planning a wedding? Think wisely about your caterer! Our wedding is at the Casino and we are limited to a few Caterers, however they really really really push Jays if you know what I mean. We decided to go with Jays, an "all inclusive caterer." This would be lovely and make things smooth, rentals, cake and food all in one place. We have been transferred through 3 coordinators until were given Lauren who we absolutely loved. She was on top if it, organized and a great liaison for Jays and us. However, we shouldn't get too comfortable because she didn't last long... Onto coordinator number 4, who it would be more kind for me not to name. #4 wanted to rewrite our contract, change pricing and terms.... Let the "fun" at Jays begin. 1. Contract--- changing the price on items in our contract after it had been signed and deposit had been made. 2. Cake tasting for our "included cake," buyer be ware this includes eggs and flower. If you want anything resembling a wedding cake please plan on an up charge of at least $900. Their cakes are not enjoyable or pretty. We went elsewhere and are so grateful. Bonus, they will give you a credit for your "included cake" if you choose todo this, $1.50p/ p. If you have priced cakes, you know this hilarious. This does not include the way were treated at our tasting. "Your taste is too expensive for us". "No we can't do fondant" "all the cakes in our pictures are fake" "that's not edible" 3. Customer service - is not Jays specialty. Every conversation, every request was a challenge. We were faced with "no" for almost everything we needed in regard to catering and our wedding. It was not pleasant planning with Jays. My fiancé called Jays the day before our wedding to make sure that they would not take out previous episodes on our wedding day. To make sure we would have a great day. I will say, they were more then gracious and agreeable to this. They were very kind on our wedding day and the food turned out better then I expected.

Jay's was the best bang for my buck! Everyone loved the food, the dessert station was a hit and the bar is the best deal around! We worked with Lauren and she was amazing. Really knows her stuff, made great recommendations, accommodated our needs and wants perfectly and was great in response time. Everything went smoothly and Lauren did an amazing job of coordinating the whole wedding flow and we couldn't be happier with how it went. Great value for the service they provide.

Jay's worked with me from the moment I picked my venue(Bella Collina). After the wedding my guests haven't stopped talking about the food and cake! Everything was delicious and run professionally.

I took some pictures in of a cake design I liked to my cake consultation not knowing how elaborate and expensive it would be. They were able to come up with a design along the same lines for a more reasonable price. The cake tasted good, but the table was not decorated as I was told it would be, nor was the cake put on a stand to make it look taller like they said it would be. Unfortunately, these were things that I did not see until after the ceremony so I just had to live with it. Also, sine the package I purchased for my wedding was supposed to include a cake I was kind of surprised to be charged extra for a design that did not end up being very complicated. I would be curious to see what designs could have been included in the package without the upcharge.

Jay's Catering was absolutely amazing! Patti was extremely helpful and although I know how busy she is, she made me feel like her only bride. She listened to my concerns and requests and fulfilled each one of them. She was more than just the caterer. She even served as a day-of coordinator where mine was lacking with set up and other small requests. She made sure the bridal party were served appetizers during cocktail hour while we were taking pictures, and even sent my husband and I with our leftovers and little goodie bag. The food was absolutely exceptional. We received so many compliments from our guests (even from the pickiest of eaters). They blew everyone away. They surpassed all expectations and it you get SO much more bang for your buck. Definitely affordable for the quality, value and attention to detail you will be receiving. I can't wait to have another big party to use them again!

When I booked my wedding venue, I was required to use Jay's Catering as my caterer. I could not have been more pleased. Jay's offer tasty and quality prepared dishes for a reasonable price. Also, I had the wonderful opportuinity of being assigned to a wonderful event coordinator. Toni Wiley was a pleasure to work with.

Wende at Jay's was amazing! She really helped make our wedding day perfect and was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process. The staff at the wedding was so friendly and professional as well. Many of our guests mentioned how great the food was and how nice and friendly the waiters/waitresses and bartenders were. Truly an exceptional company with exceptional employees!

We ordered 600 sandwiches for my wedding and they were delicious....they aren't very quick to call you back and answers questions you may have.

Jay's catering was not only affordable, they provide quality food and cake. Many guests at the wedding commented on how surprisingly good was the food. Their servers were very responsive and professional. The only thing is that when we had to hire extra staff for wine service during dinner hour and reception table setup during cocktail hour, Jay's required that each staff needs to be hired for a minimum of 6 hours, even though we only needed them for 2 hours. It was hard to have this

We met the folks at Jay's Catering through our venue, the Ebell Club of Long Beach (exclusive catering vendor there, and that really works!!). We got to know them through our September tasing event, which was great fun and gave us lots to work with as we planned our January 2012 wedding. Teresa Karcher worked closely with us to plan a very special (buffet style, premium bar, cocktail reception preceding dinner) function. It was clever, creative, and yummy ... and met the needs of our very diverse group of friends and family. On our big day, the Jay's and Ebell team delivered an absolutely flawless evening. They worked brilliantly together -- cared for every detail -- and even packed up the wonderful leftovers for us to take home! I can't say enough about their great teamwork, their care for our guests, and the spirit of FUN they brought to our party (especially the bartenders!). Thank you for a wonderful evening!!

Jay's is a pretty big catering company, but they make you feel like you are their only client! They give you such personalized attention and they add such amazing touches! We loved our tasting. Teresa, our point person at Jay's, coordinated with our florist to have a mock up of our wedding centerpieces at our tasting (which was so romantic!!) the food was delicious!! I mean delicious, all of it from our sangria to our milk and chocolate chip cookie shots to the filet mignon carving station to the coconut shrimp appetizers......mmmm, it was all so good!! Our guest all agreed also (going back for seconds and thirds!) oh at the end of the night the event captain presents me with a box, we opened it when we arrived in our hotel room. Inside the box was a thank you card, two gourmet sandwiches, chips, two beautifully decorated heart shaped cookies, and a little bottle of champagne!! It was so sweet! I love jays! They definitely go above and beyond!

I had an all desserts reception and their desserts are awesome. I also had my cake, linens, and drinks from here. They were all so tasty besides the linens of course. The staff was great to work with.

They get it. They have this down to a science & know how to treat the bride & groom to allow them to enjoy the day, and even make time to eat the food!

Jays Catering did an outstanding job for my reception. Not only was the food exactly what I remembered from the tasting but they set up my reception exactly as I wanted. I am kind of a control freak and also am study event management to become a future wedding planner so I know what I want down to every last detail and the staff from Jays definitely delivered!! Our wedding cake was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen and tasted amazing too! Not many brides can say their wedding was flawless, but I can. And a huge part of that is due to Jay's Catering!

I'll start with the good. The food was incredible!! I never thought that guests would compliment the food but almost every person we spoke to after the wedding raved about the food. It was SOOOO good! The servers did a great job. They were very professional. They all looked clean and presentable and they all were in a good mood. Jay's offers some fun options for your wedding. We had milk a cookie shots and a gourmet coffee bar. Their cake baker is unbelievably talented. So far, I highly recommend them. Now for the bad. The woman assigned to our wedding was a little... tough. She did a good job helping us out but my husband and I always thought we sensed a bit of an attitude when talking to her. And she never let me finish a sentence- very frusterating. I finally gave up and asked my husband to take over this department. And I believe he eventually started emailing instead of calling her to make sure that he had the opportunity to say/ask what he needed to. At the end of the wedding one of the servers gave me a "honeymoon box." (Boxed up food for us to eat at the hotel. There was also a card from our contact at Jay's. It was to Mary and Dale. (My name is Mary Dale and my husband's name is Tom!!) We were so disappointed when we saw this! Jay's is not a cheap company and to get something like that after evertything was pretty offensive. My Dad contacted her about this while we were on our honeymoon and her response was, "my assistant wrote that for me. (Place the blame on someone else.) And she told me that she thought she may have gotten the name wrong." Hello! Fix it before it gets to the bride and groom!! To try and make the situation right, they showed up at my work with milk and cookie shots, another honeymoon box and a new card. The card however was pretty much just for me, saying that they hope I enjoy the milk and cookies. My husband still hasn't gotten an apology for his name being wrong (after she spoke with him on the phone and through email many times and met him in person). The company has been around for a long time and always recieves great reviews. I'm sure this is not business as usual and I understand that everyone makes mistakes, but we are very disappointed with this situation.

There is much I can say about Jay’s. One word does seem to sum it up PERFECT. We had to use Jay’s since that is who Bella Collina contracts through and I am very glad they do. From the perfect coordinator Nicolle to the great food, everything was AWSOME! I got many compliments on our food and wedding cake. I had people tell me that it was some of the best wedding food they had. They also had wonderful extras such as the coffee station…BIG HIT! They host you for a food tasting with other couples getting married so you can try everything and then decide what you want. They were so easy to work with and never made you feel like you were bothering them. The wedding night they even send you home with a little to go box with sandwiches, champagne, cookies, since anyone who has gotten married knows you do not get to eat much. I could go on for hours about all the good things they offer. If you are trying to decide on a cater they are defiantly worth looking into. Also, prices were absolutely terrific.

Jay's had great consultants as well as wonderful food that the guest could not stop talking about. We had many people say it was the best food that they have had at a wedding. The price is good and they have everything you need for rentals. The workers were really helpful and professional and made our experience with them wonderful!
