Joel was the DJ for our wedding at the Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens on June 28th. He has performed at this venue many times before and had so many helpful hints when we were planning. He performed live on acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour and dinner, and he was amazing! He learned two of our favorite songs (at no additional cost) and we were blown away. When he transitioned to DJing at the reception, he kept the energy up and our dance floor was packed. His kindness and expertise were so appreciated. We are so grateful that we found him!

We hired Joel for our wedding in June. We could not have been happier with the services he provided! We had him singing and playing guitar for cocktail hour and we were getting so many compliments on how great he sounded! He kept the party alive and listened to all of our requests. The best part of our night was when Joel sang and played guitar for our first dance. We were interested in doing a song that did not totally fit for a first dance (All My Life), but Joel learned it for us (free of charge) and it was even better than the original. He sent us a video of him singing and playing it a few weeks after we asked for it initially. Everyone loved this special touch to our wedding day. Joel was so professional and so easy to work with!

Our friends recommended Joel for our wedding day and we were so impressed. We love live music which Joel and accompanying musician, Jim (bass), played beautifully during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and for special dances. Joel executed for our reception flawlessly, he kept the wedding running smooth, played good music, and was awesome to work with. I hired Joel to run the show and that’s exactly what he did. I provided a small do not play list and an idea of the vibe I wanted. Not only did the dance floor stay packed all night, my favorite songs were played (no requests needed), and Joel made good music decisions. I couldn’t have asked for a better musician, MC, and DJ! We did add uplighting and an accompanying musician. Joel is the full package. If you’re on the fence about hiring Joel, I recommend viewing his public performance calendar on his website. Joel was incredible! We hired Joel for our February wedding to play live music during cocktail hour and to DJ/MC the reception. All of our guests loved the live music at cocktail hour and didn't have enough nice things to say about Joel and the bassist who accompanied him!!! The music he played during the reception was perfect to keep people out on the dance floor, and a lot of our guests stayed till the end at 11:30. It was a great experience working with Joel, and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Outstanding experience with Joel. First off, he's very musically talented. Second, he is so organized. He helped plan the entire event itinerary. Ceremony music, MC'd everything (his British accent was extra fun!), lighting, setup, performed live for ceremony and cocktail hour, wedding party intro, DJ'd the dance party....all of this for a crazy reasonable price. And did I mention, he is SO TALENTED?? The guests loved him. Can't recommend him highly enough.

He played the perfect songs at the right times so the dance floor was never empty! We would absolutely recommend Joel to anyone. Joel was amazing to work with. Joel was absolutely fantastic! People complimented his music all throughout the event especially during cocktail hour when he sang acoustically. During the night the dance floor was always going strong. Not a single song flopped! Joel also worked in our song requests seamlessly. No song felt out of place. We chose Joel for our wedding because we saw him perform/DJ at our friend's wedding and LOVED him. He is so passionate about what he does and it truly shows! My husband and I went to see him perform in the city and he took the time to chat with us in between songs about our upcoming wedding... this meant SO much to us. We hired Joel and Amy for our wedding and wow. Just wow. They were absolutely wonderful and helped us plan and work through so much. Each seemed genuinely happy to be apart of our day. I could not be more satisfied with how the day went. I received many compliments from our guests about Joel's talent and music choices as well as Amy's wonderful story telling ability.

Joel is excellent! Picking a DJ is HARD --- unless you have attended a wedding where they have DJ'd before it's difficult to get a sense of their work unlike viewing a photographer or videographer's portfolio. Joel did not disappoint. He is easy to work with and provided hours worth of great dance songs that kept my dance floor packed. Many guests commented on his DJing saying there wasn't a single song that was a 'flop'. The added bonus is that he will play acoustic during your cocktail hour which is a really lovely touch. I would recommend Joel to a friend!

Joel was so great to work with!! Everyone at the wedding is still raving about his live music at our cocktail hour, our ceremony back music and then him dj-ing our reception. Joel learned 2 songs free of cost for us and ended up performing our first dance. We first saw Joel perform at Riley's Pour House years ago and had no idea he did this for weddings! You could say it was love at first live performance sight! HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who looking for the perfect combination of live music and DJ!

Jim did a fantastic job playing guitar for our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. Arrived promptly and set himself up smoothly. Joel was very responsive coordinating the services beforehand too!

We initially booked Joel and then found out he was in a band with my husband’s former coworker, which just solidified our confidence in his talents. He proved us right quickly. We picked two new songs for our first dance and father/daughter dance and he sang and played acoustic guitar absolutely beautifully. He also adjusted the music to what would get people on the dance floor, and had great lights that really added to the vibe. He played guitar for cocktail hour as well which was great ambience after the ceremony. As an added bonus, we’ve gotten many compliments on his accent 😂

We have nothing short of amazing things to say about Joel. We went to a friends wedding back in 2021 and it was honestly one of the most fun weddings we’ve ever been to and I felt that was because of the DJ. Of course we had to get his information and book him for our wedding. Joel was such a pleasure to work with. So friendly, thorough, and excellent at his job. From the second he opened the dance floor the dancing did not stop. Everyone danced for hours and everyone still talks about how fun our wedding was. Joel’s level of detail, knowledge, and variety he brings as a DJ to your event is just amazing! From start to finish he provides you with everything you need so you can have the perfect day and timeline! He was wonderful to meet in person and work with. We had Joel play acoustic guitar for our ceremony and he learned a song for us for our recession. It was everything we dreamed of! He also played guitar and sang during cocktail hour and it was so nice to have live music during that! He helped get the bridal party lined up and sure of where to go in our venue for the entrance as well. Such a nice and professional DJ and he really kept the party going all night long! We are so glad we went with him. And if you are looking for an officiant; don’t even hesitate to book Amy. These two are literally a power couple!! They went above and beyond for us on our wedding day! Amy met with us prior to our wedding to help formulate our ceremony and make it custom to our wishes and make it really special to us. We left our meeting just absolutely over the moon excited for our day to get here. And the day of it was literally perfect! Everything went so smoothly and was beautiful. We also invited her to join us for dinner and she was helping us every step of the way post ceremony. I had accidentally put my fun sunglasses for the entrance in the reception area and she heard me say that. Before it was even time for us to enter she had them to me! She also made sure my veil got to our get ready area so I was sure to get it at the end of the night. Both Joel and Amy were so extremely thoughtful and attentive to every detail of our day. We have received nothing but compliments from our family and friends. Cory and I thank you both so very much! Book both Joel and Amy!! You seriously will not be disappointed!!

Joel is incredible, there's no other way to put it. Having a live musician and DJ rolled into one person was an incredible experience. Our guests could not stop raving about his live performances, and our dance floor was packed all night. I would highly recommend him for any wedding!

Joel really helped us make our wedding day exactly as we imagined! He played guitar and sang during the ceremony and cocktail hour. He switched to DJ our reception, with the exception of performing the parent dances. That was so special, and having the live performance wowed our guests. Not only was Joel an amazing musician and DJ, but the planning process was so easy. We were able to plan everything through email/GDoc and I appreciated how succinct and easy that was. We also hired Amy to be our officiant, and she knocked it out of the park. First of all, we would have never put together the ceremony we had on our own. Amy's ideas brought everything together and created a beautiful ceremony including readings, poems as our vows, and the wine box ceremony. This was all planned beforehand of course, but then to hear Amy's delivery on the day brought everything to a new level. Both Amy and Joel ran through everything with us and the bridal party before the wedding, and it was perfect! We thank you so much!

The planning process was simple and straightforward. As a musician, Joel worked with us to select the perfect acoustic guitar music for our ceremony and reception. Very happy we had Joel handle the music for our wedding. Our ceremony music was played live, which made it very romantic and intimate. Joel played live for the cocktail hour and then DJed the reception. We did have him do our first dance live which made it extra sweet and loving. He even sent us videos of live songs if we wanted to hear how he would sing it. Additionally, Joel's planning document that he has you complete helped me construct like 80% of my day-of timeline which was SUPER helpful for me from a planning/timing perspective. He has lots of experience and helped provide advice and guidance throughout the entire process.

Amy Lindsey was our wedding officiant. She was kind, professional, and organized. The ceremony that she created and officiated was so special, and we were able to incorporate unique personal touches. I would recommend Amy to anyone getting married.

Our entire experience with Joel was incredible. He was responsive to questions and accommodating with requests. His organization (via a Google Form) made planning so easy. Our guests have been raving about his music selections. Even where we made an error in our forms, Joel was easygoing and understanding to fix our mistake before wedding party announcements. An unanticipated feature was that Joel performed a few songs live throughout dinner -- he was wonderful! On top of all of that, Joel was so kind and thoughtful during the planning process and on our wedding day. My husband and I are so glad that we booked Joel for our wedding. There is not a better DJ for events and weddings in the Pittsburgh area.

Joel is extremely reliable, professional, and can truly create the perfect dance floor for your wedding. Anytime during the planning process when I emailed Joel, he replied extremely quickly. He had us fill out an info sheet and followed each request perfectly. One of the most important parts of the wedding for us was the dance floor be bumping for each minute and it truly was thanks to Joel! He played a fantastic mix of 80s, 90s, and today that kept our guests dancing for the entire reception. 05/27/2022 - What can I say about Joel Lindsey - a true professional and an expert at what he does. Music really sets mood for the entire event, and Joel executed it perfectly. Joel and his accompanied violinist played live music during our ceremony and cocktail hour, it was magical! He learned a new song for us and even showed the little ones how to play the instruments while we waited! Joel's YouTube videos really helped us decide the kind of music we wanted, and got us excited for what is style is like. You can even go see him perform live around the Pittsburgh area. Joel doesn't need much direction, once you give him an idea of what vibe you are looking for, he can take it from there. He played a great mix of songs during the reception, new jams and throw backs that everyone enjoyed. If you're looking for a top notch DJ and one you can feel confident about throwing an incredible event, look no further. He is the best in the biz.

6/11/2022: a day that was so memorable in so many different ways. When we were searching for a DJ and entertainment for our wedding, after speaking with Joel it was a no-brainer and goodness are we SO happy that we made the choice to have him DJ and perform live music at our wedding. Joel kept the vibes alive and kept everyone on the dance floor all night! It was so special to have the added bonus of having Joel perform our parent dance songs as well as music at our ceremony and cocktail hour; his talent is top-notch. Joel is truly so accommodating and one of a kind! We could not have been more impressed with him. We truly cannot recommend him enough!!

Joel could not have been any better. He kept the music going and the music was absolutely perfect for the crowd! Our biggest feedback from our guests was how great our DJ was. He kept it professional and made everything run so smoothly. We had him sing and DJ, he has a beautiful voice. He will make your special day a lot of fun and very memorable. Joel impressed us from the get go... He was so friendly and really helped us to make the most out of our special day. His phone calls and emails were very thorough and so was our planning document! Joel also was able to put us in contact with Bob- who was incredible as well. Bob played violin during our ceremony and during the cocktail hour- it was absolutely beautiful! During the cocktail hour/ reception Joel played live also. I can honestly say that our friends and family were BLOWN away. In fact, my cousin absolutely had to take a photo of him [while making a heart with her hands] and I know others who wanted his card as well. We've received dozens of compliments even after the wedding! Joel kept the party going and was an excellent MC - I truly do not think we could have had anything better. When looking for a guitarist for our wedding we came across Joel. He is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh! We went to see him perform live and were absolutely blown away by his talent! Not only is he an amazing singer and guitarist he is also a phenomenal DJ! When we spoke to him on the phone we knew he was the right DJ for us! The best part about Joel is how relaxed and at ease he made us feel throughout the whole process. We expressed our worry about "dancing" at our wedding and how we are both bad dancers and didn't expect to be on the dance floor the whole night.... and boy were we wrong! Joel got the whole crowd going and we had an absolute blast! Thank you Joel for being a part of our special day we are so grateful for you!!!

Joel was wonderful throughout the entire process! From the moment we first spoke with him- all the way up to our final dance at our wedding, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable in how to make our day absolutely perfect. Joel not only helped us to create the perfect timeline, but also coordinated with our venue and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. It was so nice to not have to worry about making sure we were on schedule, or forgetting about anything. Joel went above and beyond in every aspect. Even though we had our own ceremony musician and officiant, Joel still made sure he was there early to help with setting up microphones and sound systems. He also coordinated with our videographer to ensure that everything was working smoothly. When I asked him to help me create a special surprise mash-up for the Father/Daughter Dance, he was fully on board and even provided a copy for us to practice with. If you are looking for a DJ who clearly takes a personal interest in his client's satisfaction and is willing to put in the extra effort, Joel is the guy for you! We are so happy we hired him, and would recommend him to anyone!

Joel is an incredible DJ, performer and organizer. Several months prior to the wedding Joel helped us organize the timeline and gave helpful suggestions for how to keep the event moving along. He is very quick and responsive to emails. Joel and his friend Bob, a violinist provided beautiful music during our ceremony and kept the cocktail hour light and fun. Bob even let some of the kids try out his violin. During the rest of the event, Joel helped keep things moving along on schedule and provided phenomenal music during the reception. My guests complimented him several times during the event. After the wedding, guests from another wedding at the same venue commented that they were tempted to crash our reception because our music was better. Thanks Joel, it was a pleasure.

Joel is not only a fantastic DJ but also a great performer. It was so nice that he was able to provide live music as well as DJ. He is very talented and has a wonderful voice. My guests were dancing the whole time and Joel knew exactly what to play in order to get the crowd excited. In addition to this, Joel was super helpful, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the whole wedding process. His wife Amy was also our officiant. (She was wonderful as well!) They both traveled 4 hours to our wedding venue which my husband and I are so grateful for!

Joel provided the perfect entertainment for our intimate wedding. He is charming, entertaining and talented- also very easy to work with. His pricing is super reasonable, and he is very flexible and creative as well. A fantastic list of qualities to find in one entertainer for anyone planning an important event!

Joel and Amy performed our ceremony and provided music, vocally, acoustically and by DJ’ing over a three day long wedding celebration. They met with us to make sure we had everything we wanted. Joel even learned a couple obscure songs to perform; a feat in itself. I wish we could be married again and again with all the sounds they brought. They were very easy to work with and listened to all we wanted. Working with them makes my heart smile.

Joel and Amy were amazing to work with. They agreed to take a week and travel to Provincetown, MA for our wedding which included a clam bake on the beach for the rehearsal, the ceremony (which Amy officiated ) and the reception. They were with us every step of the way helping us make good choices! With Amy's help the ceremony was perfectly lovely, special and very loving. Joel sang at the clam bake - not so easy on a beach! He sang at the ceremony which added a wonderful atmosphere for everyone there. He even happily learned a little Beatle's song for us ("I Will"). At the reception, Joel kept everyone on the dance floor - quite an accomplishment considering the wide variety of our fiends and family! In short - throughout the entire process no question went unanswered and no request went unaddressed. I would love to remarry my wife and have Joel and Amy by our side again and again.

Joel’s musical abilities and professionalism were first class! His unique background make him stand out from the others in his field. You will be very hard pressed to find another local entertainer better than Joel! His associates are multi talented as well and a big plus in enhancing the venue as well!!

We found Joel through a recommendation from one of our other vendors. He was our DJ for our ceremony and reception, and played live acoustic guitar for our cocktail hour. He showed up to a venue walk through about a month before our wedding and was responsive to our communications. Our critique of Joel is that he was a little standoffish during the event, and some of our guests were uncomfortable making music requests during the reception. As a DJ, we were slightly put off by his attitude during the event, but overall, he did what we hired him to do.

Joel Lindsey is ABSOLUTELY incredible. You will not go wrong by hiring him. He is super responsive, talented, and kind. He (together with his wife, Amy, our officiant) helped make every aspect of wedding planning easy. The DJ and officiant are two of the most important vendors you can book - they really are the ringleaders of the vibe and beauty of the day. With such an important role, you need to make sure you bring the right people in for it - and trust me, Joel and Amy ARE those right people. Joel played guitar and sang during our 2 hour pre-ceremony cocktail reception, and he was absolutely top notch. Pure perfection and a true professional musician. He played perfect songs according to the vibe we wanted - he just knew exactly what to play! People raved about him. He even learned a new song for us that I requested - an acoustic version of Tina Turner's "Simply the Best". He played it while I walked down the aisle per my request, and I literally cried when I heard him play it because it was so beautiful and meaningful to me, exactly what I envisioned. He also played our first dance song live (Can't Help Falling in Love) and it was beautiful and tear-jerking. After the ceremony, he was an absolute professional with leading the events. He had all of his equipment set up and ready to go for every part of the night and I didn't worry about a thing. He was incredibly kind to our guests, played all of the songs we wanted him to, and filled in the rest with songs perfectly curated for a super fun vibe. We didn't plan on having a dance floor because when we were planning the wedding, we had no idea what things would be like in May pandemic-wise.....but with almost every one of our 40 guests and vendors fully vaccinated, we really started to regret that decision on the day of, and felt a teeny bit sad that we wouldn't end the night with fun dancing. But thank god we hired Joel, because he just KNEW. We all knew the vibe was changing, and Joel just jumped RIGHT on it - he smoothly changed gears into dance party vibes, and what was already the perfect evening was turned even more incredible. For all of us it was the first time we had done anything like that in over a year since the pandemic, so it was just like magic to see my family and friends dancing, laughing, and singing along to the perfect music Joel chose. Joel made that happen and it was perfect. If you're also looking for an officiant, Joel's wife Amy was ABSOLUTELY incredible. Just like Joel - kind, warm, friendly, responsible, organized, prepared, and on and on. We asked her to help with our rehearsal and I'm so glad we did - she was so good at leading our bridal party and directing what needed to happen. She made it easy and fun. As for the day of...I get teary just thinking about it! Her ceremony was so beautiful.....the way she speaks is almost musical, but not in a cheesy way at all. She just makes the whole ceremony so meaningful and tailors it to however you want it, providing suggestions if you're lost and helping brainstorm if you have an idea that's not quite fleshed out. I made a bunch of (I'm sure annoying) changes, but she was just totally cool and flexible and never made me feel like I was being annoying. Joel was extremely easy to work with--communicative, professional, and experienced. He stepped in on our wedding day to help our event move smoothly. Joel remained calm, cool, and collected with unexpected changes throughout the evening. We received various complements about how wonderful he was! Joel played guitar and sang for our ceremony along with cocktail hour and our first dance. He honed in on our music preferences while DJing our event as well. He was a huge hit. Joel & Amy were quite simply the best. We had been to a friend's wedding featuring Amy in the ceremony and Joel performing acoustic and as a live DJ. When it came time for us to start planning our wedding day, it was clear we needed to have them at our wedding as well. Every single piece of the process was so simple and expertly done. From the initial touchpoints, contract signings, price for each item (we had Amy, Joel, a violinist, and uplighting) to the documentation in Google Docs and finally, the day itself - everything was perfect. I TRULY cannot imagine having anyone else for our day. They will both continue to stand out as one of the best selection of vendors we had. Amy was attentive, responsive to emails, and offered genuine support and advice along the way. She was outstanding in the ceremony as well - so well spoken and passionate about what she does. Joel played acoustic for our ceremony and cocktail hour alongside a violinist. We received SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on their singing abilities. Joel performed our first dance live after learning the song and engaged the crowd all night long. Having the flexibility of both live music and DJ'd music throughout the event was amazing. Do yourself a huge favor and book this dynamic husband and wife team. It'll be the best decision you make about your wedding day.

YOU NEED JOEL. I first saw Joel a few years ago at my cousin's wedding, and I was instantly hooked! He has an incredible voice that really creates an amazing atmosphere for any event. Joel played at our wedding ceremony (even though it was in a church) and at our cocktail hour, but I've also seen him DJ the reception and man was it a party! He is also so easy and flexible to work with which really helped relieve some stress from the planning process :) Would absolutely use Joel again for a future event.

It has not been easy to plan a wedding during a global pandemic, but we managed to pull it off this past October. We had to move wedding/reception venues cross-state due to COVID, and Joel was more than willing to make the trip out there with us. I knew of Joel going into the wedding, as he performed and DJ'd both of my brothers weddings in prior years. Through Joel Lindsey Entertainment, we employed him as wedding ceremony performer and reception DJ, a violinist for the ceremony, and a videographer throughout the day/night. From start to finish, Joel was incredibly helpful and supportive, and he made our wedding reception an absolute blast! We can't thank Joel enough for everything he did for us and for our wedding, and I would HIGHLY recommend him to any couples with future wedding planning. Our wedding day couldn't have went any better, and Joel and his team were a huge reason for that.

Joel and Bob played live guitar/violin for our fall outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They were AMAZING!!! They were the perfect touch for our special day!! Both of our families were extremely impressed with them. Joel was very easy to work with to line things up before the wedding day. He offered suggestions for music choices, samples of their work for me to hear, etc. Very experienced and professional! Was such a memorable experience!! Highly highly recommend!!!

We used Amy as our officiant and it was one of the best, if not the best, decision we made for our wedding! A couple years before our wedding (and before we were even engaged!) a friend of ours got married and had Amy as her officiant. It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies that either one of us had attended, and we knew that should we get married, we wanted Amy to do ours. Due to Covid, we could only meet with Amy virtually. That didn’t matter! We had a half hour Zoom call to discuss us as a couple and to go over elements of what we would like for our ceremony, and we left that conversation feeling like we had been friends with her for years! She really allowed us to customize the ceremony in a way that both reflected us; that was personal and intimate without being too serious, and her professionalism was just the cherry on top! She shared a Google Doc with us so that we could see and change anything that we wanted leading up to the wedding. She even created a secret document so that I could surprise my groom with a song! (And then helped me execute that secret song!) So many people (including grown men!) came up to us to tell us how beautiful the ceremony was, that it was the best they had ever been to. It was certainly the best part of our day, and I know that was largely in part because of Amy. No matter what you’re looking for in your ceremony, Amy Lindsey will gift that to you.

Joel was the perfect musical addition to our wedding and our planning process. He was a wonderful presence to have throughout our planning process, postponement process, and then process of moving venues! He had to handle weather changes, having THREE different “set ups” (ceremony space, dinner space, and reception space) after we changed venues, and tons of emails from us getting it all figured out. He took it all in stride and was able to recommend things and work with us. He is an incredibly talented musician and dj. He’s also just an all-round good guy and an amazing vendor to have on your team. Now on to Amy. She is also amazing! We are so glad we found Joel, as he, of course, lead us to Amy. We vibed with her instantly and through only a few emails and a zoom call she prepared a ceremony that was so “us” it was as if she’d known us for years! We received so many compliments from guests on her ceremony, words, and her overall presence. As soon as she arrived she found us, and came up with a game plan and informed us of things that hadn’t even crossed our minds. It’s no wonder this duo found each other, they are perfect! I chose Joel Lindsey Entertainment because my husband’s brother had used them for his wedding in years prior and he was impressed. I hired Joel to perform live at my ceremony and cocktail hour and then DJ at my reception and I hired his wife Amy to be our officiant. I unfortunately fell into the category of “CORONA BRIDE” in 2020 and was forced to post pone my wedding. Due to having to post pone, Joel was no longer available for my wedding, but he was able to hook us up with back ups which really helped us not to have to start from scratch. Joel’s back up live performer was Chris. Although I never had a chance to meet him personally, he blew me away with his performance as I walked down the aisle. I walked down to him singing “Feel My Love” by Adele and it brought tears to my eyes. We had so many guests saying it was the most beautiful moment they have ever witnessed at a wedding. The live entertainment really added the exact touch I wanted for our ceremony. When we were announced, he performed “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and got the guests really excited to start celebrating. As far as Joel’s back up DJ went, we ended up signing a contract directly with him and not through Joel Lindsey Entertainment. I’ll be honest in saying I wasn’t happy with our DJ, but that is no reflection on Joel and his team because they weren’t involved other than recommended him. Amy our officiant was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!! I cannot say enough positive things about Amy. Our ceremony was written perfectly to us and really showed our guests our love story. We received numerous compliments about Amy and her services. Amy went through our ceremony with us via a zoom call and then attended our rehearsal where she lead everyone through the next day so there would be no confusion at all. The day of Amy came onto the party bus with me and completely settled my nerves with everything. I felt so confident going into the ceremony because I knew Amy would be right there to help me. She wasn’t the type of officiant that said okay grab his hand here - she told us do whatever feels comfortable at the time and that really helped both of us. If I had to say something negative it would just be that the microphone that our readers used did not work and I wish it would have been tested prior to the ceremony beginning. It didn’t end up being that big of a deal because we had a very intimate ceremony, but it was still uncomfortable that they were talking into a microphone that wasn’t working. If you are looking for live music or an officiant, look no further than Joel Lindsey Entertainment. You will not be disappointed in your decision!!

My good friend, who happens to work at a Pittsburgh wedding venue, recommended Joel to me. Given that she's planned hundreds of wedding I knew that Joel would be perfect! Not only was he spectacular at DJing and singing acoustic during our cocktail hour, but he was also very accommodating in the nightmare that is the 2020 wedding season. We originally booked Joel for our May 2020 reception. A month before our original date we decided to move to Aug 2020 and Joel was able to switch over to our new date no problem and with no additional costs. Then a month before August we decided to move our indoor reception to a smaller intimate backyard reception. Again, Joel was very accommodating and made the adjustment with no issues! We have heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests about his live performance during cocktail hour and he played an amazing mix of music throughout the night. From pop and some oldies earlier in the night to some rap and hip hop later in the evening, every single guest was on the dance floor at one point in the night!

My now husband and I were lucky enough to have Joel Lindsey recommended to us from a friend. We are SO lucky that she did! From the very beginning Joel was kind, enthusiastic, and incredibly organized. Not only does he DJ the reception like many other DJ’s but, unlike other DJs, he did so much more! He DJ’d our ceremony and then sang during our cocktail hour- acoustic and guitar. He has an amazing voice and a great knowledge of what music sounds good at each point in the wedding. We suggested songs we liked but we knew Joel had it from there. Prior to the wedding he put everything into a document that outlined our entire day! Joel Lindsey is the most incredible wedding DJ you could ever hope to hire! He was amazing from start to finish! He is so talented! Beginning with my ceremony, he played guitar and sang. I always wanted to walk down the aisle to a specific song my husband and I like. Joel was able to learn it, and he made it sound incredible! He played live music through the entire cocktail hour. During dinner he play a live song or two in between recorded tracks. It was absolutely amazing and sounded so good! My Maid of Honor, who is getting married soon, leaned over during dinner and expressed how mad she was that she had already hired a different DJ for her wedding, because she now wanted Joel instead. Not only is he a talented musician, but when it came time to party, he got everyone on the dance floor!! Everyone had an amazing time at my wedding thanks to Joel. I had several people tell me they didn’t want the wedding to end because they were having so much fun! He blended dance songs, slow songs, and different genres perfectly! No one wanted to get off the dance floor! He also took control of the timeline of the wedding and made sure everything got done, like the bouquet and garter toss. He was organized, kind, and overall easy to work with. I cannot express enough how amazing Joel Lindsey is as a wedding DJ and performer. I would highly recommend him! Joel is a wonderful musician and great DJ! We had him play live for the ceremony, cocktail, and some parts of the reception. When DJ'ing, he had everyone on the dance floor. There was not a dull moment at the reception. He was very detailed and thorough during the planning process and ensured that our night ran smoothly. Amy was a great officiant. Joel Lindsey was absolutely incredible! He was incredibly organized and professional throughout the entire process. He helped us to think about every small detail of our wedding, especially the reception. Months after we booked him, we realized we would need some additional equipment for our ceremony and he made it really easy to add that stuff on. If you want something other than the traditional DJ at your wedding, Joel is the way to go! I would give him and his wife Amy 10 stars if this review allowed. Not only is Joel an excellent DJ but he also has a wonderful voice and plays the guitar! We chose The National Aviary for our venue which meant that our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception would all be at the same place. For this reason, we wanted to have variety in the sounds that were heard during each part of our day. He was able to play acoustic guitar and sing during our ceremony and cocktail hour and then DJ during the reception! He lets you choose which you prefer and when. Our guests provided us with so many compliments throughout the night!! Joel made our ceremony intimate and special and then was able to keep the dance floor alive during the reception! He made sure to play all of our requests and his own selections fit right in with what we wanted! Other than his services being so unique, he was a pleasure to work with. He knew exactly what he was doing and was even able to accommodate changes throughout the night that were unplanned. He just “went with the flow!” One of the other perks of working with Joel is that we had the option of choosing his wife Amy to be our officiant. This was the best decision we made! Joel and Amy work so well together and knew the in’s-and-out’s of The Aviary which made my life so much easier without having to worry about the logistics. Amy was the absolute sweetest! She worked with me to customize our ceremony so that it was unique to us specifically. She helped us incorporate a wine unity ceremony which she had never done before and it was seamless! Our guests raved about our ceremony and how heartfelt, personal, and meaningful it was. I give all the credit to Amy. Not only did she make our ceremony perfect, but she arrived to the venue early and was able to go over everything with me and calm any nerves I had! She told me that she would lead us through the ceremony and make it so that we never messed up. Amy was just honestly wonderful. Joel and Amy were the perfect choice for our wedding and I would highly recommend them to any future bride and groom!

Joel provides an unparalleled level of customer service. He is extremely easy to work with and super organized to make event planning that much easier! We loved that he was willing to play a mixture of acoustic songs as well as DJ. He was extremely entertaining and kept our wedding on schedule. Most importantly he kept the dance floor PACKED!! You will not be disappointed with Joel. Genuinely all around great guy and even better performer/DJ/MC. We are confident our day would not have been as good with anyone else.

Joel was charismatic, understanding, and extremely helpful from Day One! He is such a joy to work with and is a master of his craft. This is my second review for Joel Lindsey Entertainment. This time - for John our violinist. John was AWESOME! He provided music for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. For the ceremony, he played an amazing version of Billy Joel’s “She’s Got a Way” along with other great selections. For the cocktail hour, John played a great mix of newer and older music while our guests chatted and mingled. We could not have asked for anything more! Definitely recommend John for your event!

Amy Lindsey was such an amazing part of our wedding. We chose Amy as our officiant after doing extensive research, reading reviews and watching videos. When we first decided that Amy was the one, she sent us an extensive google doc with options for each part of our ceremony. This really helped us make sure we had the ability to personalize our ceremony. Amy has a certain way about her that can't be explained until you meet her. Amy has a great personality that put us at ease during our first meeting to run through our ceremony. Being that we were planning our wedding from out of state, we only had a few dates to meet and discuss details. When we met with Amy at Penn Brewery for a beer she came ready and organized, was ready to answer all of our questions. She asked a bunch of questions about us, our dog (who was in the ceremony), and was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process. Day of, Amy was on-point. She was so excited and happy. She had a way of leading our ceremony and received so many compliments from our guests. She had so many great ideas for the ceremony (wine box, flowers for moms/grandma) that made it perfect. After our wedding ceremony was complete, she took care of finalizing all of the paperwork and sent our marriage license out in the mail for us. From start to finish, Amy was amazing. We recommend you choose Amy to lead your ceremony.

Joel was one of the luckiest vendor finds we had for our wedding.
