We got married in the city between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We wanted it to feel warm and classy without being a holiday wedding. He took our suggestions and turned them into a beautiful arrangement throughout the night. Joel was very easy to work with. His expertise kept the atmosphere exactly where we wanted it. He also made some welcome edits to make sure the event transitioned well between phases. Joel can do it all, and you can trust him to make it incredible!

We had Joel DJ, emcee, and perform at our wedding and he was absolutely fantastic. We had quite a span of generations in attendance, and he was able to read the room perfectly and play songs to get everyone dancing. He was incredibly easy to work with and provided us a very helpful template to make our day of schedule. We had him sing and play his acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour, and we received many compliments from our guests for his job well done. Day of he was able to adjust to the small changes in the timeline, and his professional attitude and calm presence were much appreciated during some of the more hectic moments. He even put together a little video he shot of us all on the dance floor on his phone; we didn't have a videographer so having some footage to look back on feels very special. We cannot recommend Joel enough!

Additionally, he did an excellent job as the MC, ensuring that all key moments were highlighted and that the event flowed smoothly. We are incredibly grateful to Joel for his outstanding service and for making our wedding day unforgettable. If you're looking for an incredible DJ and musician for your wedding, the search is over! Working with Joel throughout the planning process was great: he was so helpful and responsive, and his planning form is incredibly detailed, which allowed us to really be thoughtful and intentional about which songs we wanted played throughout the day and night. Fast forward to the wedding itself - we are STILL getting compliments about how amazing our wedding music was. Joel played the guitar and sang during our processional, cocktail hour, and for our first dance - he even learned two songs for us, which was super special. Once the dance floor opened he played hit after hit - I've never been to a wedding where literally every single person got out of their seats to dance for the first song, but Joel is just magic. He did such a good job of reading the room and reading us as a couple - he knew exactly what songs to play to keep the party going. On top of all of that - Joel took some great videos of the dance floor that we will cherish for years to come. We are SO thankful that we booked Joel - having a DJ who is also an incredibly talented musician is such a great combination - would highlyyyyy recommend booking him!

Joel was the DJ for our wedding at the Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens on June 28th. He has performed at this venue many times before and had so many helpful hints when we were planning. He performed live on acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour and dinner, and he was amazing! He learned two of our favorite songs (at no additional cost) and we were blown away. When he transitioned to DJing at the reception, he kept the energy up and our dance floor was packed. His kindness and expertise were so appreciated. We are so grateful that we found him!

We hired Joel for our wedding in June. We could not have been happier with the services he provided! We had him singing and playing guitar for cocktail hour and we were getting so many compliments on how great he sounded! He kept the party alive and listened to all of our requests. The best part of our night was when Joel sang and played guitar for our first dance. We were interested in doing a song that did not totally fit for a first dance (All My Life), but Joel learned it for us (free of charge) and it was even better than the original. He sent us a video of him singing and playing it a few weeks after we asked for it initially. Everyone loved this special touch to our wedding day. Joel was so professional and so easy to work with!

Our friends recommended Joel for our wedding day and we were so impressed. We love live music which Joel and accompanying musician, Jim (bass), played beautifully during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and for special dances. Joel executed for our reception flawlessly, he kept the wedding running smooth, played good music, and was awesome to work with. I hired Joel to run the show and that’s exactly what he did. I provided a small do not play list and an idea of the vibe I wanted. Not only did the dance floor stay packed all night, my favorite songs were played (no requests needed), and Joel made good music decisions. I couldn’t have asked for a better musician, MC, and DJ! Joel was incredible! We hired Joel for our February wedding to play live music during cocktail hour and to DJ/MC the reception. All of our guests loved the live music at cocktail hour and didn't have enough nice things to say about Joel and the bassist who accompanied him!!! The music he played during the reception was perfect to keep people out on the dance floor, and a lot of our guests stayed till the end at 11:30. It was a great experience working with Joel, and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Outstanding experience with Joel. First off, he's very musically talented. Second, he is so organized. He helped plan the entire event itinerary. Ceremony music, MC'd everything (his British accent was extra fun!), lighting, setup, performed live for ceremony and cocktail hour, wedding party intro, DJ'd the dance party....all of this for a crazy reasonable price. And did I mention, he is SO TALENTED?? The guests loved him. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Joel was absolutely fantastic! People complimented his music all throughout the event especially during cocktail hour when he sang acoustically. During the night the dance floor was always going strong. Not a single song flopped! Joel also worked in our song requests seamlessly. No song felt out of place. We chose Joel for our wedding because we saw him perform/DJ at our friend's wedding and LOVED him. He is so passionate about what he does and it truly shows! My husband and I went to see him perform in the city and he took the time to chat with us in between songs about our upcoming wedding... this meant SO much to us. We hired Joel and Amy for our wedding and wow. Just wow. They were absolutely wonderful and helped us plan and work through so much. Each seemed genuinely happy to be apart of our day. Joel is excellent! Picking a DJ is HARD --- unless you have attended a wedding where they have DJ'd before it's difficult to get a sense of their work unlike viewing a photographer or videographer's portfolio. Joel did not disappoint. He is easy to work with and provided hours worth of great dance songs that kept my dance floor packed. Many guests commented on his DJing saying there wasn't a single song that was a 'flop'. The added bonus is that he will play acoustic during your cocktail hour which is a really lovely touch. I would recommend Joel to a friend!

Joel was so great to work with!! Everyone at the wedding is still raving about his live music at our cocktail hour, our ceremony back music and then him dj-ing our reception. Joel learned 2 songs free of cost for us and ended up performing our first dance. We first saw Joel perform at Riley's Pour House years ago and had no idea he did this for weddings! Jim did a fantastic job playing guitar for our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. Arrived promptly and set himself up smoothly. Joel was very responsive coordinating the services beforehand too!

We initially booked Joel and then found out he was in a band with my husband’s former coworker, which just solidified our confidence in his talents. He proved us right quickly. We picked two new songs for our first dance and father/daughter dance and he sang and played acoustic guitar absolutely beautifully. He also adjusted the music to what would get people on the dance floor, and had great lights that really added to the vibe. He played guitar for cocktail hour as well which was great ambience after the ceremony. As an added bonus, we’ve gotten many compliments on his accent 😂

We have nothing short of amazing things to say about Joel. We went to a friends wedding back in 2021 and it was honestly one of the most fun weddings we’ve ever been to and I felt that was because of the DJ. Of course we had to get his information and book him for our wedding. Joel was such a pleasure to work with. So friendly, thorough, and excellent at his job. From the second he opened the dance floor the dancing did not stop. Everyone danced for hours and everyone still talks about how fun our wedding was. Joel’s level of detail, knowledge, and variety he brings as a DJ to your event is just amazing! From start to finish he provides you with everything you need so you can have the perfect day and timeline! He was wonderful to meet in person and work with. We left our meeting just absolutely over the moon excited for our day to get here. And the day of it was literally perfect! Everything went so smoothly and was beautiful. We also invited her to join us for dinner and she was helping us every step of the way post ceremony. I had accidentally put my fun sunglasses for the entrance in the reception area and she heard me say that. Before it was even time for us to enter she had them to me! She also made sure my veil got to our get ready area so I was sure to get it at the end of the night. Both Joel and Amy were so extremely thoughtful and attentive to every detail of our day. We have received nothing but compliments from our family and friends. Cory and I thank you both so very much! Book both Joel and Amy!! You seriously will not be disappointed!!

Joel is incredible, there's no other way to put it. Having a live musician and DJ rolled into one person was an incredible experience. Our guests could not stop raving about his live performances, and our dance floor was packed all night. I would highly recommend him for any wedding!

Joel really helped us make our wedding day exactly as we imagined! He played guitar and sang during the ceremony and cocktail hour. He switched to DJ our reception, with the exception of performing the parent dances. That was so special, and having the live performance wowed our guests. Not only was Joel an amazing musician and DJ, but the planning process was so easy. We were able to plan everything through email/GDoc and I appreciated how succinct and easy that was. We also hired Amy to be our officiant, and she knocked it out of the park. First of all, we would have never put together the ceremony we had on our own. Amy's ideas brought everything together and created a beautiful ceremony including readings, poems as our vows, and the wine box ceremony. This was all planned beforehand of course, but then to hear Amy's delivery on the day brought everything to a new level. Both Amy and Joel ran through everything with us and the bridal party before the wedding, and it was perfect! We thank you so much!

Very happy we had Joel handle the music for our wedding. Our ceremony music was played live, which made it very romantic and intimate. Joel played live for the cocktail hour and then DJed the reception. We did have him do our first dance live which made it extra sweet and loving. He even sent us videos of live songs if we wanted to hear how he would sing it. Additionally, Joel's planning document that he has you complete helped me construct like 80% of my day-of timeline which was SUPER helpful for me from a planning/timing perspective. He has lots of experience and helped provide advice and guidance throughout the entire process.

Amy Lindsey was our wedding officiant. She was kind, professional, and organized. The ceremony that she created and officiated was so special, and we were able to incorporate unique personal touches. I would recommend Amy to anyone getting married.

Our entire experience with Joel was incredible. He was responsive to questions and accommodating with requests. His organization (via a Google Form) made planning so easy. Our guests have been raving about his music selections. Even where we made an error in our forms, Joel was easygoing and understanding to fix our mistake before wedding party announcements. An unanticipated feature was that Joel performed a few songs live throughout dinner -- he was wonderful! 05/27/2022 - What can I say about Joel Lindsey - a true professional and an expert at what he does. Music really sets mood for the entire event, and Joel executed it perfectly. Joel and his accompanied violinist played live music during our ceremony and cocktail hour, it was magical! He learned a new song for us and even showed the little ones how to play the instruments while we waited! Joel's YouTube videos really helped us decide the kind of music we wanted, and got us excited for what is style is like. You can even go see him perform live around the Pittsburgh area. Joel doesn't need much direction, once you give him an idea of what vibe you are looking for, he can take it from there. He played a great mix of songs during the reception, new jams and throw backs that everyone enjoyed. If you're looking for a top notch DJ and one you can feel confident about throwing an incredible event, look no further. He is the best in the biz.

6/11/2022: a day that was so memorable in so many different ways. When we were searching for a DJ and entertainment for our wedding, after speaking with Joel it was a no-brainer and goodness are we SO happy that we made the choice to have him DJ and perform live music at our wedding. Joel kept the vibes alive and kept everyone on the dance floor all night! It was so special to have the added bonus of having Joel perform our parent dance songs as well as music at our ceremony and cocktail hour; his talent is top-notch. Joel is truly so accommodating and one of a kind! We could not have been more impressed with him. We truly cannot recommend him enough!!
