These guys were great. The dj name was Tristan and he was very easy to work with. He took care of the specific things we wanted done and made the whole event flow smoothly.

They were WONDERFUL! All of our guests had a GREAT time. They were prepared, on time, attentive and made sure our day went PERFECT. I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you for making our day the way me and Rob envisioned it to be!
I was so disappointed by our DJ. He didn't keep to any part of the schedule discussed. Our bridal party walked into their grand entrance with no music playing, he did our first dance out of order and never announced it. He also would go missing...
for long periods of time and was nowhere to be found. He was totally clueless to playing what the crowd was enjoying.
Our photographer had to keep going and asking him to announce the next thing at the wedding. It was horrible. Guests were giving him money to play songs that were already on my request list. So embarrassing and so unprofessional.
I gave feedback to the company and they offered me free DJ service at my next event but this was a destination wedding so that offer fell flat. I would not recommend them. The DJ is such an important part of the day, so to ignore how bad this says everything you need to know.
The only positive thing was we hired the photobooth through them and that was a hit with the guests.
Honestly, we feel like they forgot about our wedding, given that we had a backup DJ and had to contact them to even get in touch with him, despite that being something was promised would happen when we booked. The DJ sent was Dustin. He did an ...
okay job, which is not what we expected or wanted on our wedding day. We gave him a list of music (with song name and artists) and suggestions and NONE of our music was played that night. He didn't even play the correct 1st dance song. It was the wrong version (he played it in Spanish instead of English), we danced it anyway, but that was heartbreaking, considering we picked this song and version and made certain he would include the correct version. I'm not sure what we could have done differently to prevent this error except insisting we go through his entire Playlist beforehand, which was not logistically possible, especially given the short contact time between "meeting" and our date. He also packed up and left 30 minutes early. When he asked us what we wanted our last song to be, we went through 6 or 7 suggestions before he found a song he actually had. Again we provided a list and he had none of them.
We also provided a list of names for the wedding party with correct pronunciations the week before and he asked them all again from our wedding party and was writing them down (like he lost the list or didn't bother with it), as we were preparing for our ceremony lineup. It was unprofessional.
He did do a good job of releasing tables to get dinner and kept the schedule going well. He also was dressed well. He brought a go pro and gave us footage from the wedding which was a really cool addition, and he didn't have to. But overall, with all of the underpreparation and mistakes, we were not satisfied with our DJ.
Overall our wedding was great. Our catering, photographer, venue, cake and everything else was perfect. The only regret we have is the DJ, which is a huge part of the celebration, and an unfortunate part to have gone wrong. It was clear that Dustin put little time into preparing for our wedding. We hope our feedback can help future couples from feeling like we do about this important part of their wedding day celebrations.

c snafu was based on he did not hear the officiant pronounce you man or wife (when we normally would start the song) , so there was a pause and we are so sorry for that. We do appreciate the feedback and Parker did state that it looked like your family and friends had a great time throughout most of the night. and that he was happy to help with not only the linens (he did return them) but also helping move all the chairs in for the reception. The only way we can improve is by listening and making every effort to pay closer attention to our clients. 5 Stars for Sure!!!!! The photo booth provided by Johnny B's Party and Entertainment Company was one of the best parts of my son's wedding. They were awesome to work with and it was a hit. Great pictures and memories are priceless.
Mark did an excellent job at our wedding. He played a very good mix of music when we requested very different styles. He was able to accommodate every guest request. Our important song requests were played without issue.

llowed at all and a special toast that I included in that list was also not done. I had guests provide songs in their RSVP's and provided that list of songs to the DJ but only a couple of those songs were played throughout the night. It may have been because there was a last minute DJ switch the day before the wedding but the first DJ assured me that the 2nd DJ who would be at the reception did have the song list. Which I assume he did because he played a couple of the songs but played his music choices the rest of the time. The DJ switch the day before the wedding was surprising as I had everything worked out with the original DJ and then had to start from scratch with the new one. Again, the guests mostly didn't notice these things and had a great time dancing, but I did and was a little disappointed in these aspects.

I would recommend Johnny B's to anyone and everyone who is looking for a DJ! We booked the DJ for a steal! I was concerned that because it was more affordable than I imagined that the service would be sub par but they went above and beyond. I even slacked a little on my end and didn't get them some information ahead of time (since I was so busy with my wedding) and they just followed up politely and sent friendly reminders. dding, I get an email from him saying that he had said yes to another couple before me who had called off their wedding but decided to have it after all. He said he had to "honor his commitments" and bailed on me. It was shocking and extremely stressful. He gave me his back up named Vennie and this man didn't have the personality we wanted, but we literally didn't have another option because it was so close to the wedding. I regret using him at all because he messed up so many things at our reception including our first dance. :( He was a very awkward man and drew unnecessary attention to himself. I got comments from our other vendors that they were frustrated with him because of the way he ran the reception and it prevented them from doing their jobs. On top of them, he badgered us about tipping him. It was incredibly unprofessional and stressful for my husband and me. Save yourself some stress and choose a different company.

he was sick. I met the fiance and I believe it was his mother. It may have been the brides mother though.
Yes, we did have a scheduling conflict about 5 1/2 weeks before the date of the event. A military couple had booked us to entertain at their event, they had to postpone a couple of times. When they did make it make to Phoenix to set their date, October 1st was picked, since they had signed their contract with us first, we were in a conundrum. We chose the couple that had booked us first. We contacted our client and told her the problem.
We made several attempts to accommodate her, offering the following.
1. We offered her the opportunity to meet two of our other entertainers on staff. They both contacted her, and offered meetings with her. I told her if she felt uncomfortable with either one we would refund the deposit money and I personally would put her in touch with a couple other companies that we trusted to get her what she needed. I had already started the process as a back-up plan. We did have options for them.
2. When she asked us for a discount because of the issue we completely understood and offered her a 5 hour block of entertainment at a 4 hour price, a $100.00 savings.
As for the "Badgering of a Tip". At then end of our events, we collect the remaining balance that is due for the event. We spoke to them asking them who we speak with about collecting the remaining balance, it NEVER had anything to do with a tip, we DO NOT ask for them and they are NEVER required. They told us someone had a check but they had to track it down, our entertainer asked a second time, and no one produced one for us leaving the balance unpaid.
Vennie has been a quality entertainer for over 20 years. He is very reliable, likable,and requested often, and in all my times working with him he has never been called awkward. Sometimes, personalities do not mesh, and we feel that is what happened in this situation.
We feel badly this challenge occurred and we would have loved the opportunity to speak and make it right, but she never contacted us after the event. We pride ourselves on Customer Service, and we will continue to do so.
