So happy I picked Joseph Ambler inn for my wedding. The food was amazing, and Jamie and Dana were very helpful in the planning process. My guests keep telling me they cant wait to come back for dinner. The staff was very accommodating to my difficult crowd.
We arranged a very last minute micro wedding with only 2 months notice. The team at the Joseph Ambler Inn was amazing helping us put this together. Jamie was so responsive and made what I thought would be a Herculean task, seamless. Kudos to Carol our day of coordinator. She made everything flow from beginning to end.
Our situation was not ideal. Due to a family illness, we were looking to get married in 6 months from the proposal...and not so something small. As an additional wrench, it was the year after things had really started opening up from Covid. In short, slim pickings. Then a fateful call to JAI, and we found out that due to a cancellation, there was exactly one Saturday in November that worked. A flurry of research, a visit, and it was settled.
We honestly didn't know what to expect, but in every way JAI exceeded. So much help and insight from the team, and honestly it went just about flawlessly between the JAI staff, their preferred vendors (absolutely essential for us pulling off the timing) and our own selected vendors. Simply a sensational venue that we'll be staying at to relive our wedding experience soon!
Any questions?
We could not have had a better experience for our big day! The team at the Joseph Ambler Inn was amazingly helpful and flexible. We had to change the date at the last minute as we BOTH got COVID but everyone at JAI went out of their way to make it as painless and easy to navigate as possible, even changing up details to switch us from a winter to a spring vibe.
When our day finally rolled around I stayed the night before and had a lovely and relaxing soak in the massive tub in the bridal suite. After getting ready in the bridal party lounge I managed to rip my dress minutes before the “first look!” The amazing day-of planner swept in with her fully loaded wedding tackle box, complete with sewing kit, and helped get me stitched back together!
The food was excellent, including the stunning cake from the Night Kitchen (included in our package). Friends and family were still talking about the delicious dinner and dessert spread months later.
We danced into the evening and then had an after-party right on-site, and nobody needed to drive home as the room block was affordable for our guests and big enough for everyone to stay.
We had a truly wonderful experience, cannot recommend JAI enough.
Joseph Ambler Inn was a dream come true for a wedding venue! Working with Jamie and the rest of the staff was so easy and stress-free. We had a lot of requests such as specialized meals for guests with food allergies, how to set up the décor for the reception, and space for hair and makeup. All of these requests were accommodated with no issues. One example of how Joseph Ambler Inn went above and beyond, was about 2 hours before the wedding we realized the petals for the flower girl had not been delivered. At this point, our entire wedding party was having their photos taken. Without even being asked Jamie and her team had gone to a local store, bought roses, and prepared them for the flower girl. I think this just illustrates that at Joseph Ambler Inn they truly care about your special day, and you are not just another event. Outside the wonderful staff, the location is also just perfect. Most of our guests were arriving from out of state so having the option to have our guests on site was perfect. We also were able to have all our events on site including rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, reception, and afterparty. On top of all of this, the food was just amazing!! I cannot count the number of people who told me how much they enjoyed the appetizers, meals, and drinks. If you are looking for a venue that truly, does it all and goes above and beyond on your special day, Joseph Ambler Inn would be the ideal place for your big day!!
We had a perfect wedding at JAI last fall! Jamie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She got back to us quickly, answered TONS of questions and even scheduled in-person meetings with us. All of the staff were extremely friendly, easy-going, and gave such quality service. The wedding packages are all inclusive and are very clear on what's included and what else they offer for additional prices. We got ready in the bridal suites, had the ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour in the pavillion, reception in the ballroom, and an after-party (and hotel rooms) in the Thomas Wilson House. The staff made everything run smoothly and transition seamlessly. We couldn't have asked for a better day, venue, or team! All of our guests were extremely impressed with the food, staff, and venue itself- we heard nothing but great things and have even inspired two other events to be scheduled there (luncheons). We've gone for happy hour too and just absolutely love JAI.
My husband and I could not have picked a better venue for our fall wedding. We wanted to do a brunch wedding and JAI has a great brunch package! Compared to other venues in the area, the package was very inclusive and didn't make us have to reach out to a ton of additional vendors which really helped with our budget and overall cost.
JAI has a great reputation and is a very popular spot in the area. Naturally, everyone that asked where our venue was became automatically thrilled to hear that we picked JAI to host our big day. The foliage that day was beautiful and everything that we asked for was accepted and greatly accommodated. Jamie (planning coordinator) and Dana (housing) were very easy to work with. I sent Jamie so many questions throughout the planning process and she answered all of them and some. Both ladies are incredibly patient and personable. The food was delicious and we got tons of compliments on it from all of our guests. My husband and I will definitely be visiting JAI more in the future.
There are two reasons why I am taking a star away from making this a five star review. The first reason is because of what the wedding party, my parents and my husband and I saw upon arrival the morning of the wedding. Our wedding was on a Sunday morning with a 11:30am ceremony time and I asked the bridal party to be at the venue around 6:00/6:30am. Yes, I know. Very early. When I got there at 6:00am, the conference room in our building (Thomas Wilson) that has our blocked rooms and bridal suites was absolutely trashed and so were the bridal suites. The cleaners did not come to clean the place up until 7:30/8:00am. My bridesmaids ended up gathering all the trash dispersed throughout the room before they came and put it in a corner so we could actually sit down somewhere and so the hairstylists had somewhere to set up camp. It was not a pretty sight. The cave (men's suite) was much better but still had trash. We were aware that there was a wedding the night before but a lot of us were not happy that the cleaners hadn't come to clean everything up at that moment in time to get ready for the next event. Alot of the bridal party and our parents were not happy at the sight.
The second reason was due to the fact that our planner Jamie was not there at all during the day. I kept telling people to find Jamie if they had any questions and they were not able to find her. We had Carol as our coordinator that day and she did a great job but we were not told prior to the wedding that Jamie wasn't going to be there after the entire time that we've been in contact with her planning this wedding. Thankfully everything went very smoothly during the day but it wasn't a great feeling knowing the person that you've trusted with everything involved in the event was not going to be there on the actual day. We would have been okay with it if we had been given prior notice to having Carol instead that day. We had just spoken with Jamie that previous Friday at the rehearsal dinner and she didn't tell us then either.
Despite those two incidents, the actual wedding was a day to remember. My husband and I are happy overall and will continue to go there in the future.
It’s been a dream of mine to get married here since I was 17 years old…… finally the day came. 10/7/22 was a dream. Anything I could have imagined they did it 100x better. Not a single detail was missed. Guests are still raving about the food, venue, and how smoothly everything went. Jamie and Dana are saints and made planning stress free. Don’t hesitate, run and book this venue!!!!
Thanks for everything!!!! Jacquelyn & Derrek
We absolutely loved our wedding at the Joseph Ambler Inn. Jamie was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the planning process, and the venue was gorgeous with tons of character. The food was also delicious, and the hotel setup made logistics very easy for guests. I highly recommend this venue if you want a charming country wedding with excellent amenities.
My only (minor) complaint was that the hotel staff were a bit disorganized and there was some confusion about rooms for guests. However, there was staff turnover between the time we booked the wedding (all the way back in 2020) and when we actually got married in October 2022, so they may have ironed that out by now. If you book a wedding here, I'd recommend staying on top of the details surrounding your room block and encouraging guests to do so as well.
Overall, we loved having our wedding here, and are so grateful to the staff at JAI for making our day so perfect.
Communication with everyone at JAI was super easy; Jamie from the banquets side and Dana from the hotel side always answered my emails in a timely manner. The coordinators the day of our rehearsal & wedding were so lovely! We had a mix up with favors and within 2 minutes the staff was fixing it. Everyone at JAI was friendly and personable, the waitstaff was great (even walked all the way down from the cocktail hour to give my groom & I some apps while we did our photos). We truly couldn’t recommend them enough, nobody had a bad thing to say about the whole night. Everyone raves about the food, how great everything looked and how attentive the staff was. If you choose to have your wedding (or any event) here you will not regret it.
Our wedding weekend at JAI was absolutely amazing. We hosted numerous events there, including the rehearsal dinner, a welcome party, the ceremony, reception, after party, and farewell brunch. Jamie and Dana were BEYOND helpful in making every detail perfect, responding to every email about every tiny detail promptly and kindly. We reserved a block of about 30 rooms for out of town family and friends, and everyone raved about the venue's beauty and convenience. We rented out the Thomas Wilson house to stay with our wedding party and immediate family, and that was incredible. The food was fantastic (especially the desserts!), and working with the vendors they recommended was totally the right move - they all knew where to go, what to do, and how to make every event a success. It was also great that the cake was taken care of, and all the details that I dropped off with Jamie were handled with care and foresight. The day of coordinator, Meg, was also incredible. You absolutely do not need to hire anyone else. She was thoughtful, calm, patient, and optimistic -- even when a thunderstorm was in the forecast. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend for the books, and I highly, highly recommend this venue -- especially if you are looking to host a whole weekend of parties!
We had the most amazing wedding at the Joseph Ambler Inn this weekend!! It was so beautiful and all of our guests really enjoyed themselves! I would say what made us book displaced was how well manicured the property was and the fact that all of our guests could stay on the property! This worked out so perfectly as we had our after party in a house on the property. The only thing that I would change or suggest for the future and the reason I gave them four stars is the coordinator leading up to the event wasn’t very accommodating and sometimes difficult to work with. With that being said the day of coordinator was amazing and all of the other staff was amazing and I can’t say enough good things about them! Overall it was the best day and everything went off without any hitch I definitely recommend getting married at the Joseph Ambler Inn!
Joseph Ambler Inn is everything we wanted from a wedding venue to be! Super adorable ceremony site, a lot of cool pictures spots and I am in love with the ballroom and its lights and mirrors and other decor! The food and service were beyond amazing, everything was so easy and smooth. A lot of our guests stayed overnight too and me and my husband stayed too, which we loved!
Special shout-out to Jamie who helped us all the way through the wedding day, Meg, our great wedding captain and Dana, who helped with all hotel arrangements!
Nothing compares to Joseph Ambler Inn! They have everything you could want for a perfect, small to medium rustic wedding. There are great options for both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces. The whole campus is gorgeous and well kept. The food is SO GOOD!!! Having on-site accommodations was a major plus for both in and out of town guests. Walking across the courtyard after partying all night was the perfect commute. Their wedding package includes so much: Open bar, all food, champagne toast, day of coordinator, wedding cake, bridal suite, honeymoon suite for the couple(!)... I'm sure I'm missing things. Jamie was very responsive and really worked with us in terms of budget and logistics. She was great. I saw a few reviews saying they aren't very responsive, but that's not true. I will say I was very pro-active in setting up my own times to talk with Jamie, and I think that may be important to do, rather than waiting on her to reach out if you're an antsy bride like me. Meg, our day-of coordinator was a total rock star! There were quite a few moving parts I was concerned about during the day, but the whole thing went FLAWLESSLY. My husband and I (and our guests!) can't stop raving about this venue. We can't wait to go back just to eat at the restaurant.
Joseph Ambler Inn is a wonderful venue and the perfect place to have a wedding.
We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, after party, and farewell brunch all on-site and many of our guests stayed at the inn over the weekend. The JAI staff was so easy to work with and were extremely accommodating when we chose to postpone a year due to Covid.
Having everything in one place was so convenient for us and our guests and every event was handled seamlessly. The food is excellent, the property is gorgeous, and accommodations are charming and comfortable.
Alli was our event coordinator and was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. She was very responsive and patient with our many questions and really went above and beyond for us in so many ways.
Dana, the Inn hotel manager was also amazing. Our guests booked over 30 rooms and she helped us rearrange our hotel block to accommodate all of our guests needs. We also booked one of the buildings (the John Roberts House) for an after party and she made sure that everything was set up perfectly.
Our day-of wedding captain, Meg, was incredible, and helped us navigate the day effortlessly. We were nervous about the rainy weather on the day, and she relieved all of our stress by getting us last minute access to the restaurant’s covered patio so that we could still have cocktail hour outside like we had hoped.
The pavilion was gorgeous and cozy for our ceremony, and the ballroom was exquisite. We dropped all of our decor off ahead of time and the staff arranged everything for us and every detail was flawless. We still can’t believe how beautiful everything looked.
We can’t recommend this venue enough; it’s truly a special place.
My husband and I decided to push our big wedding out and quickly planned a 15 person ceremony and reception at JAI on our original date (on 2.5 months notice). While we were nervous about changing what our wedding would look like, the staff at the Joseph Ambler Inn went above and beyond to make our day special and memorable and we cannot thank them enough. They were kind and responsive, and were very flexible, allowing us to personalize the space we were using to how we envisioned it (outdoor garden party in front of the farm house!). It was truly beautiful. On top of this the food at the Inn is AMAZING and the price of having a wedding here is quite reasonable. I would highly recommend this venue!!!
I had the most amazing wedding day I could have asked for. After a rainy morning, the weather turned out perfect for an October wedding. While during COVID the venue was not what we anticipated, JAI set up a beautiful outdoor space and it was better than I could have imagined. The food was amazing, the drinks were great, my décor was set up perfectly and exactly how I wanted. I would highly recommend this venue for all of those reasons.
For some reason though, after we paid, I felt like we were 100% ignored and treated poorly. I emailed my coordinator the night before my wedding to ask a question and I still have not heard back. I stayed overnight the night before my wedding. It was raining in the morning and nobody came to open the bridal suite for me. I had to walk in the rain to the office and ask someone to open it. After spending the entire day getting ready, the coordinator (never once did I see the person I worked with originally) did not come and see me until about maybe 2 hours before the ceremony. At that time, I was just finishing hair and make up and getting ready for pictures. She asked if I needed anything and at that time, what could I ask for? She probably should have asked me to discuss ceremony details at that time. A little less than an hour before the ceremony, she tried to pull me in the middle of my photo shoot when guests were already arriving to discuss the ceremony details which gave me less time for pictures. She was very nice but I already felt slighted and I felt like nobody was there for me until it was too late. Never once post-wedding did the venue reach out to ask us any questions about how the day went. I saw my original coordinator giving a tour the morning after and she gave me a quick hello/how was everything and went on her way. We stayed the night and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to give me information about when and where to get the breakfast buffet we were promised. The guy at the front desk told me basically I should just hang around the dining area and wait until it was ready. I had no idea what to tell my guests.
This part may seem petty but, the other thing that really bothered me was that the JAI did not take or post one photo from our wedding. I follow them on social media and I see them share photos of weddings constantly. Not to toot my own horn but our book theme was very unique and our decorations were really different. I know people that worked there were into it because they told me how cool they thought it all was. I even left them some favors (surprise thrift books with a bookmark). I am not saying that I need recognition on social media at all. It just felt odd to me that they shared every wedding every weekend up until and after ours and I saw nothing from ours. I tag them in photos still and not once did they comment or re-share. This all sounds maybe silly and trivial but after already feeling like the venue dismissed us it made me feel worse.
I am a timid person so maybe this happened to me because I did not demand assistance every step of the way so do not let my experience deter you because even with all of this I can still say that this was the perfect space for a wedding. I just wish that I was treated better.
Married here and engaged here... greatest Irish wedding ever!
In mid-August, we had decided to move our large wedding celebration due to COVID restrictions to a small, intimate one with only immediately family. We were extremely pressed for a venue that could accommodate our party on such short notice but Joseph Ambler Inn truly saved our 10/10/20 wedding day! From our original correspondence, Alli (banquet manager) was extremely responsive, helpful, and willing to work with us leading up to our big day. I was very nervous having only less than 2 months to plan a wedding but she really eased all of my concerns and made me excited for my big day. In addition to working with Alli, I also worked with David (hotel manager) to book some hotel rooms for the night before and he was able to work with us on some great rooms! In addition to planning activities, our wedding day went off without a hitch!!! We were able to drop our cake and decorations off the day before and it was all set up by the time our reception came around which truly made the day stress-free for me! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Huge shout out to Kristi who helped set up, single handedly served all of the food during cocktail hour/reception/dessert and did the majority of our clean up! She was absolutely phenomenal and brought such a fun tone to the day - we even had family members coming up to us letting us know how awesome she was!!! From start to finish, our experience with Joseph Ambler Inn was extremely positive and I will forever be thankful for them for everything they did to make our "micro-wedding" so special!!!
Julie and I had a small, COVID-friendly wedding in August 2020. We were looking for a historic setting and we couldn't be more pleased with how the Joseph Ambler Inn's staff handled our arrangements. Ali was incredible to work with and handled every inquiry (and COVID fear/uncertainty) with ease and worked with us every step of the way. On the wedding day, it rained so the venue was moved from outside to the John Roberts House. It was an incredibly beautiful and intimate ceremony and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Following the ceremony, we had an wonderful dinner and the food (not bragging because it was my wedding) was the best either of us ever had at a wedding reception. Many of our guests also remarked about the delicious meal and fantastic surroundings. The hotel rooms in the Inn that we reserved for us and our wedding party were outstanding and provided every amenity needed.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Joseph Ambler Inn for your wedding and reception. You won't go wrong!
My husband and I got married at Joseph Ambler Inn on September 5, 2020 and we can not say enough good things about the JAI. Our wedding plans were completely derailed during COVID and it was a blessing in disguise that we ended up at JAI; our wedding was far better than we had originally planned and encompassed everything we hoped the day would be. The JAI makes you feel at home and welcomed from the point of first contact through the conclusion of your event. The planning and execution of even the smallest details are seamless and we are forever grateful to Alli, David, Meg, and all the staff who went above and beyond to make sure we had our picture perfect, stress-free event. We look forward to returning to JAI to celebrate anniversaries and events in our future together as husband and wife.
My husband and I just got married at the JAI in July and it was amazing! There was so much uncertainty getting married during COVID and Alli and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our wedding as “normal” as possible. The food and atmosphere were amazing. The staff was so attentive the day of the wedding. We are so happy we made the choice to say “I do” at the Joseph Ambler!
When we had to postpone our April wedding, we chose a day in August, full of hope to have the big wedding of our dreams, but also decided to get married no matter what it looked like. We were lucky enough to safely have our parents and bridal party celebrate with us and it was better than we ever could have hoped. The Inn was always our venue of choice and they were able to perfectly execute our small wedding on the pavilion. Alli was so understanding and flexible and the day wouldn’t have been the same without her help and guidance. Every staff member was complying with new policies to make sure both we and they were safe and comfortable. It was absolutely beautiful and we had a blast celebrating our marriage even during a pandemic!
The Jospeh Ambler Inn blew us away is every best way possible! We were so stressed when COVID hit but JAI assured us everything would be ok. They gave us back up options, endless ways to still hold our wedding in a safe way, calmed all my fears and anxiety, and made wedding planning more enjoyable than I ever thought it could be! They were prepared for everything. On top of that, our guests were amazed at how beautiful the venue was and many gushed that this was the best wedding they had ever been to. The food was amazing and everyone was in awe of the charm that this site has. If I could go back and do it all over again I would choose Joseph Ambler Inn over and over again!
The Joseph Ambler Inn is the BEST venue for a wedding! Originally we were going to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, with our reception in the ball room. Our wedding hostess was incredible. The day before our Saturday afternoon wedding, when we heard the weather report for possible rain, and since our wedding was in late October, we decided to have the ceremony indoors in the diningroom. The room was so romantic, with candles everywhere. The reception was lovely...the food plentiful and delicious. We can't speak highly enough about all of the staff at the JAI. My husband and I stayed in the hotel both before and after the wedding which was very convenient. Our wedding hostess sent up extra food to our room so we could enjoy dinner. There was an evening wedding after ours, and we did not hear the music or noise from that wedding at all. We have been back tothe JAI for dinner, and for other events there, and each time we return, the staff is just as professional and organized, and the food just as wonderful as it was on our wedding day. We have also been to many weddings not only in this area, but also in New England, Annapolis, and other historically significant venues, and nothing compares to the whole experience of the JAI. Thank you for our 12 years of memories! Our wedding was October 25, 2008.
When Max and I started planning our wedding back in 2018, the one thing we knew was that we wanted it to be outside in the fall with all of the foliage around us. Joseph Ambler Inn was everything we wanted and more.
Alli is a super star. If wedding planning was already difficult enough, COVID-19 hit and threw a wrench in the wedding planning process. Once the restrictions started to ease, the team quickly came up with plans for how to continue doing weddings and efficiently communicated them to me. Alli took all of my questions regarding the safety precautions, how we could potentially postpone, and everything else and gave me every single answer I was looking for. She even thought of things that I didn’t even think about and brought them to my attention, like whether we were providing cake-cutting utensils or a card box.
We also booked the John Roberts on the property so our guests didn’t have far to go after the wedding. That worked out great. Originally, we were going to have an afterparty, but it ended up with us just hanging around and talking for a while before everyone went to bed due to how hard they partied beforehand. Having the house was great so people didn’t feel obligated to leave early.
Our guests were amazed at the beauty of the property, how great the food was, and excited to be able to celebrate in the outdoor space. The wait staff was great and super professional. And let me give a shout-out to Meg, who was our day-of coordinator. She made sure that all of my decor looked exactly how I wanted it, handled the wedding crashers without us knowing about it, and made sure that everything ran smoothly. There were a few hiccups along the way, but Meg handled them like a pro.
Thank you to the team at Joseph Ambler Inn for helping us have the wedding of our dreams. You’ll see us back for anniversaries and random date nights.
I don’t think there are enough words to describe how amazing the Joseph Ambler Inn employees, grounds and services are for all your wedding needs. This year has been full of challenges for most brides and 2 months prior to my wedding, I had no bridal shower, rehearsal, ceremony and/or reception location. Enter Alli and all the amazing people at the JAI (David, Meg and many, many more). With one email in late July, Alli hopped in and helped us plan every single wedding-related event with ease. She kept me calm and answered every single crazy question that popped in my brain. Each wedding event was better than the prior, culminating in our wedding day on Sept. 26th. And it was absolutely perfect! Meg was incredible the day of creating every single space as I had envisioned, the event ran so smoothly even my OCD-self could relax and enjoy. My family/friends are still talking about the beautiful grounds, service and how it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. The accommodations / after party were perfect too. The JAI honestly offers it all with their many outdoor locations for various size events (I know I used them all), backed by an incredible team of people. I can’t thank Alli and everyone we worked with at the JAI enough for helping make all our wedding dreams come true during such uncertain times.
We recently (9/12/20) had our wedding at the Joseph Ambler Inn. I cannot express how much we enjoyed the inn! Alli and David were such sweethearts answering all of our questions throughout the planning process. Our wedding was cancelled not once, not twice but three times (and 3 different states). When I emailed Alli I was desperate and crying still trying to pull off our dream day. She went above and beyond. Our guest were amazed at the beauty of the property, the quaintness of the rooms, and how delicious the food was!
Thank you all for making our dream day come true!
My wedding planning came to a halt in March due to COVID-19, as it did for most brides. Even as we entered the “green phase” my fiancé and I realized that our original plan (225+ person wedding) was not going to happen in 2020. We decided to postpone our big wedding and scrambled to come up with a “Plan B”. We wanted to get married on our original date and still have a small gathering with family and friends. That’s when I called the JAI. Alli quickly worked up a plan for our smaller outdoor gathering. Things may change with COVID-19 regulations between now and then but I have faith that Alli and her team will do all that they can to accommodate us on that day. Alli has been very assuring and comforting during such challenging times. We can’t wait to celebrate at the Inn on October 23rd!
Two years ago my husband and I were looking for the perfect venue for our wedding and a place that had a cozy atmosphere for our November wedding. A friend of ours recommended Joseph Ambler Inn and told us many wonderful things about the place. Not only did it would fit perfectly with what we were looking for, but they were also very accommodating and answered any questions we had. Allie was amazing during the whole wedding planning process! She helped my mom and I make sure that whatever we had in mind about the ceremony and reception would go smoothly and addressed any concerns we had. My husband and I had so much fun at our wedding day at Joseph Ambler Inn. Our guests and vendors told us that they had a wonderful time and loved everything about JAI.
Allie and JAI staff, thank you so much for making our wedding day exceptionally special and memorable!!!
We do not have enough good things to say about Joseph Ambler Inn as a wedding reception venue. Our family had an amazing experience from the initial planning and walk through to wedding day and all of its coordination - everything was perfect. All staff (hotel staff, chef and service staff, event planning staff, maintenance staff) were VERY responsive and clear with any and all questions throughout the planning process.
The event planning staff (thank you Alli!) was fantastic. They were sure to communicate quickly by email with big and small questions. This was especially appreciated since we were planning the day from another state!
The day of coordinator (we worked with Meg!) was an angel. She made sure we as the bride and groom were fed and at ease, the timeline was moving along smoothly and guests were happy.
The food was amazing and we had so much fun at our tasting! Our guests and family could not stop talking about how great dinner and desserts were. Major kudos!
We would choose JAI to have our wedding reception all over again!
P.S. We highly recommend an October wedding in PA at JAI - the leaves and pictures are beautiful!!
This venue by far exceeded all expectations! We turned our wedding into a wedding weekend with everyone being able to stay at this location. It was simply amazing having everything starting with rehearsal dinner at The Joseph Ambler Inn. Allison is also beyond amazing. Huge shout out to her for answering all emails over a year and half of planning and making sure it was all simply perfect. She never once made us feel like we were unimportant due to all the brides she must encounter!! I cannot thank her enough for everything she helped me with and did through out this process!!! All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and were all very accommodating to all needs that needed to be met! I would like to also thank Conor for all his hard work organizing the room block with me!! I would choose JAI a million times!! It was perfect! Thank you!!!
We picked JAI because of the rustic atmosphere along with having our after party and guests being able to spend the night. The staff was absolutely outstanding every step of our planning and could not have been happier with the care and attention given to us. Needless to say, the food was wonderful and our guests talk about how wonderful everything was!
Joseph Ambler Inn was the perfect venue. The staff was so attentive and helpful with every step of the planning process. We had the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all right at the location and it was so convenient. The setting is absolutely beautiful any time of the year (we had our wedding the end of September and it was gorgeous). The food, service, and overall atmosphere could not have been better. Wouldn't have changed anything!
alli was amazing through the whole process. only complaint is that rehersal for another wedding took place before my actual wedding and people sat down and were touching our things.
My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Joseph Ambler Inn on August 24th and we could not be happier we chose this beautiful venue for our big day! The staff were so helpful and made planning a breeze, and our big day went SO smoothly thanks to all of the amazing staff at the Joseph Ambler Inn. My husband and I, as well as our guests, cannot stop raving about the wedding and how wonderful the Joseph Ambler Inn was. We cannot recommend them enough for your big day!
Choosing Joseph Ambler Inn as our ceremony and reception location was the best decision we could have made for our wedding planning! Allie, the event coordinator, is a SAINT and handled all of our questions and concerns with grace and flexibility I have never seen in any other professional. All of the staff was courteous, friendly and did everything in their power to ensure our day went smoothly. The ceremony location was beautiful, and the weather held out so we could have our ceremony outside. Our guests were raving about the food from cocktail hour to after the wedding! We rented the Thomas Wilson house and had an after party there, which was a load of fun and super easy with JAI staff setting everything up and tearing everything down. Our wedding day was a DREAM and that is thanks to the staff at Joseph Ambler Inn!
From start to finish our experience was great! All the planning was a breeze because they were very organized. Very responsive and flexible to all our accommodations. The Food was GREAT! My guests still talk about how delicious it was. The wait staff was very friendly and attentative. Booking rooms was a breeze and there was complementary breakfast every morning! The venue is so cool my bridesmaids and I made a weekend out of it and stayed the whole weekend! The property is Gorgeous and clean! We highly recommend!!!
Joseph Ambler Inn was the best place to get married. Every square inch of the property is gorgeous. I loved that everything was right on the property for us. I worked with Ali the entire planning process and she is such a sweetheart! She made the entire planning process so simple. We even discussed taco's a few times and enjoyed Taco Tuesday's during the summer. I also found out after the wedding, that my candles melted into squares but my vases were cylinders. Ali sat in the middle of the dance floor, blow torching the candles!!! I was completely blown away. I can't say anymore nice things about Ali. Multiple guests asked if I'd be upset if they choose to get married at JAI and I can't blame them! I sent them Ali's info. This was the best venue I could have hoped and picked for for our wedding.
We fell in love with Joseph Ambler Inn as soon as we took the tour there! It had everything we were looking for -- ceremony and reception in one place and hotel rooms on the property. JAI is such a beautiful venue and has a very rustic and elegant feel. We loved all of the stone on property and the lawn is just gorgeous, especially in the Spring and Fall. All of the staff are very friendly as well! We had our ceremony on the lawn and our reception in their ballroom on a Saturday evening. It was so easy working with Alli on all of our wedding details!!! She was always so response to my emails (and I sent her A LOT of them, haha). I didn't feel stressed at all about our venue details because they made it so simple at JAI. Everything was perfect on our wedding day and I felt like we didn't need to worry about anything. We received so many compliments from our guests on the choice of venue -- from the delicious food to the ease of walking just a few feet from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception, our big day at JAI was wonderful. Thank you JAI for such an amazing day and an extra special thank you to Alli for all of your help through the planning process!
Joseph ambler inn definitely provided a beautiful, classy wedding reception for my husband and I! They did exactly what we asked and set up the ball room beautifully! They were able to work with me on some pricing with certain things and that was helpful! The only suggestion I have is for the advertisement to be a little better! Their ballroom and space is GORGEOUS but their website and instagram does not always do it justice ! It was important for me to be able to vision exactly what the wedding would look like and it was hard with some of the photos they had online! They have such a beautiful space and stunning grounds and they need to show it off! Update their website and I think they would be even more successful! But my wedding reception was a dream come true!!
My son and daughter in-law got married at the JAI on In September 2017. The venue was amazing and a perfect place to have a wedding and reception, especially if you are in the market for a rustic vibe. We met with Allie (the event coordinator) several times to go over all of the details for the outdoor wedding and indoor reception. From the first time I met Allie, she was so personable, friendly and accommodating with our requests as I asked a million questions throughout the process. Allie never made us feel like we were a bother or just a number. She was so passionate about her job and went above and beyond to make things happen. Allie was very prompt at getting back to me with the answers to all of our questions leading up to the wedding day. The Joseph Ambler Inn's rustic ambiance was simply beautiful! It had so much charm and character around the premises and was quint and quiet since there is only one wedding going on at a time on the lawn or in the ballroom.
They also have rooms you and your guests can rent throughout the weekend. When it came to the hotel booking, we met with Amanda who was fabulous! Amanda gave us a tour of the various rooms we could reserve for the wedding weekend. We rented out the entire Thomas Wilson House, Bonnymeade House and the rooms on the second floor of the barn/restaurant area. It was awesome to stay on site for the weekend so we didn't have to drive anywhere.
On the day of their wedding, everything turned out perfectly! The weather was gorgeous for an outdoor wedding and our event day coordinator Meg was extremely flexible, patient and helpful throughout the day. Allie and Amanda were also on site throughout the day to make sure things were running smoothly. The grounds of the JAI make a picturesque backdrop for an outside wedding. We had our cocktail hour on the grounds and back patio area of the restaurant. They did a lovely job with the set up and making sure our 150 guests had plenty of drinks and food during this part of the reception. We chose to have a buffet style reception in the ballroom. All of the entrees were excellent! We had three options for our guests: salmon, chicken and filet. The filet mignon melted in your mouth. All of the food was fresh, hot, delicious and plentiful! We had a few guests that had food allergies and the JAI worked with us to make sure they had special plates made up according to our guests' restrictions. We opted for a s'mores and ice cream bar as part of our desserts which was a lot of fun for our guests. The entire JAI staff couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating throughout the evening.
We were extremely pleased with our wedding experience that Allie, Amanda, Meg and the JAI staff provided to our family during this special time in our lives. We highly recommend the Joseph Ambler Inn if you are looking for a wedding venue that provides a personal touch and not a cookie cutter or wedding factory feel that most larger venues provide. Allie and the JAI staff will not disappoint you!
From the food to the foliage, Joseph Ambler Inn exceeded our expectations and then some. The efficient crew for setup and down, the servers and bus staff and coordinators made out special day perfect. If I could I'd get married there every year!
The pub will suffice because the food is just as perfect and drinks are just as smooth!
Jamie Burns was the biggest help in all of it!
I cannot Express how picture perfect our wedding was. Every little detail was paid attention to. All of the staff made our dream wedding become a reality. Anything we needed or requested, they accommodated. A year later, we still get compliments on the food and how picture perfect everything was. We could not have asked for a more picture perfect day. We are truly grateful.
My husband and I got married here in April, and it was so amazing. The communication with the coordinators was great leading up to the wedding day and on the actual day. Alli was so prompt with getting back to me with all the questions I had. The service was fantastic and they all made me feel so relaxed when it came to setting up and cleaning up. We had so many people tell us that the food was hands down the best they had ever had at a wedding. We had the reception in the dining room and it was so cozy and beautiful. We ended up switching out the butlered appetizers for stationary ones, and I guess something wasn’t documented correctly so it wasn’t how it was supposed to be. They were apologetic and served the food that was missed during dinner. That is the only bad thing that happened, which really wasn’t even a huge deal! I 100% recommend getting married here. They also have tastings so you can try the food before you decide on your entrees. We went with the salmon, short ribs, and Parmesan crusted chicken.
The Joseph Ambler Inn was the venue for our 2017 summer wedding! All of our guests raved about the amazing food for cocktail hour as well as for dinner! People still tell us how amazing they thought the food was! We also had so many guests stay the night because we were able to secure The Thomas Wilson House for accommodations as well as for an after party! The venue was intimate and warm and it was a night we will never forget!
Joseph ambler inn gave us the most memorable wedding we ever could have imagined. From the beautiful scenery during our wedding and the great spot for the cocktail hour and the amazing reception hall, everything was perfect. The food was especially my favorite. Guests at our wedding still talk abut the incredible food. I will never forget how great it all was!
My wife and I got married at JAI last April and it was the perfect venue! Rustic, quaint and the staff’s attention to detail was beyond our expectations. Everything ran so smoothly from our original meeting with the event planner to the actual wedding day itself. Highly recommend!!
Great setting for both ceremony and reception. Amazing places for photos. Quaint rooms for guests. Flexible and reasonably priced.
We had our reception (only) at Joseph Ambler Inn. We had a small group of guests, 33 in total. We used the John Roberts House. The food was AMAZING. Every guest raved about how good the food was, from the cocktail hour all the way through the dinner and dessert (we had our cake from the Night Kitchen, but JAI also provided other accompanying desserts). The John Roberts House was perfect for us and we had a great time. We planned our wedding remotely, since we both live abroad (I grew up in the area though). Alli was wonderful on all counts. I will admit that because the wedding planning and the hotel are arranged and managed separately, there were definitely a few bumps regarding rooms. These were sorted quickly, albeit slightly embarrassing. The wedding side of JAI is definitely much better organized than the hotel. It worked out in the end, though. On the day, there were a couple things that weren't exactly how we had arranged them to be, but only I knew that (and honestly, it didn't make a bit of difference to how beautiful everything was and how smoothly everything went). I fully recommend JAI for your wedding!! :)
The venue itself is amazing, and throughout the process you have a fantastic banquet manager, Alli, to work with. Throughout the process, you encounter a lot of red tape - can’t hang anything on the ceiling of the room, can’t get in before 4:30 if you have the evening wedding booked, even if nothing is booked beforehand. Not a very flexible place. The other major issue is the wedding coordinator is extremely passive, so you end up being both the bride and coordinating the details the day of. It was quite stressful as an overall process, so while I loved the venue and Alli, the rest of the aspects were difficult.
We had our ceremony and reception at the Joseph Ambler Inn and we were also able to rent out about 15 rooms in one house for our wedding party and closest friends. We loved that this venue allowed for everything to happen in one place, so we did not have to travel anywhere once we (and our guests) got the venue. In addition the venue takes care of many of the planning details for you such as linens, tables/chairs, table numbers, catering, alcohol, set up and break down of the decorations, the cake, etc. The venue and all the spaces are also amazing, they have beautiful grounds for an outdoor wedding, a pavilion that can be a plan b for rain or a space for the cocktail hour, and the reception hall is spacious and elegant. The wedding planning staff are absolutely fantastic as well; they are friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and flexible! We worked with Ali and Tay throughout the planning process and Meg was our day of coordinator. After I left each meeting with these ladies I felt more calm and knew that we were in good hands. On our wedding day they went above and beyond to make the day stress free and even better than I imagined! They exceeded my expectations from planning to execution the day of, and as far as I know the day went off without a hitch. Not only was the place beautiful, but the food is also amazing and our guests complimented the appetizers and main courses several times. JAI was a huge part of making our day truly the best day ever!
We were so pleased with everything about our experience at the Joseph Ambler Inn. Every single member of the staff was so helpful and friendly. Alli and Amanda especially were so sweet and accommodating. They both answered my emails promptly and did everything they could to help during the planning stages and the day of. Because we weren’t using a dj, Alli was the one who started and stopped the music for our ceremony which is probably not in her job description but greatly appreciated! Our captain for our wedding day, Meg, was SO helpful and sweet. She made sure the decorations, ceremony, and reception were everything we wanted. Our guests (as well as my husband and I) could not stop talking about how amazing the food was. Our suite was seriously incredible! The packages were very reasonable. Our reception was in the Farmhouse which created a cozy and intimate environment which is exactly what we were looking for our small wedding. Overall, our experience was amazing. My husband and I both agree that if we could go back and do all the planning again, we would still choose the Joseph Ambler Inn!
I got married here and it was a really nice event, but it wasnt everything I expected. The venue was fantastic! Bridal suite was AMAZING. However the wedding coordinating staff was underwhelmibg when it came to the big day. The wedding coordinator I booked with, left the company and no one called me to tell me she had left and to introduce the new coordinator. When I called the new coordinator informed me she was the replacement and everything was taken care of. Come my rehearsal I met ANOTHER coordinator that basically had me run my own rehearsal. This may not matter to some people but I had just spend over a year making a million decisions and I wanted to just rehearse and enjoy myself. It was incredibly frustrating because I knew nothing about how they ran a wedding there, or the 4 different options the girl gave me. I was on the spot and couldn't think because i was already furious that the girl who worked with me wasnt even there and didn't tell me she wasn't going to be. The day of my wedding there was duck poop all over the ceremony space, and we asked two people to clean it, they said they would and I guess they didn't because there was duck poop on my dress and other people said it was unsightly by their seats. Our hotel room suite had a hot tub that never got hot, even when the instructions were followed. Next day there was supposed to be a private breakfast for my guests but that also got lost in the shuffle of transferring coordinators. They did put it out, but it was after everyone had left so it was just myself, my husband and 5 friends. My guests were expecting a private breakfast and didn't get it, plus I paid for it. Still a great venue/location to have a wedding, but their coordinating/ event planning staff needs a bit more experience in my opinion. They need to be very clear with you on what you are getting and who is/going to be working with you. I had NO IDEA the girl who had helped me through the entire process wasn't going to even be there on my wedding day. Food was good but a lot of people told me their filets were under cooked while others were overdone at the same table.
The staff was extremely accommodating when we wanted to extend our reception by 1 hr when we ran late, so I do give them a ton of credit for that. My wedding was beautiful but both my husband felt we ran the show more than we'd have liked to the day of, which wasn't ideal since my cost included the coordinator.
We got married here on 1/7/17. From the beginning, our event coordinator worked with us every step of the way up to our wedding day. We loved the venue, the food, and service. Everyone we worked with at JAI was very helpful and friendly. Even that we had a small intimate wedding, they catered to us as if our event was large. Shoutouts to Alli, Paul, and Carol. Thanks again for making our wedding day so awesome!!
We also booked a night at JAI and we stayed at the Allman Suite. Please book a room there if you can. It was a very nice suite! Our photographer was able to get awesome wedding photographs in this room too. They offer complimentary breakfast if you book a room.
Every single aspect of our day was flawlessly taken care of my JAI, from decorating the space to serving the mini desserts on the tables. We got more compliments on the food and the service than I'd have ever imagined. We'll be forever thankful. :)
We did not have our wedding here, but did use them for our after party, rooms for our out of town guests to stay and brunch the next morning. They have a great offer where if you agree to rent out a whole house you can use the bottom living room/dining room/porch areas for your after party which was a great detail. The brunch the following morning was an awesome buffet with good service and plenty of room for our guests to come and go throughout the morning. The grounds of the Inn are beautiful too and I have heard good things from others who have taken getting ready pictures and pre-ceremony pictures outside!
My fiancé & I had an atrocious interaction with the Joseph Ambler Inn. The bed & breakfast was very appealing to us, & it was a major reason of why we selected our venue. We contacted them about this & they had availability for our potential wedding date. We eventually reserved a tour to see the rooms & put a deposit down with no inclination from them about urgency. Since they said they had availability & we were scheduled for a meeting, we sent in our deposits & signed contracts with our band & venue. When we showed up for our scheduled tour they said that a group had come in the day before & rented the entire place for our wedding date. We were shocked & confused with the news. We had been exchanging emails regularly over 2 weeks discussing the date & availability. What did they mean they gave the dates away to someone else? You scheduled a meeting with us to tour & hand in our deposit, & you booked the entire facility the day before we were supposed to meet?!? They didn’t tell the second party that they already had someone looking into the date. They supposedly “tried to email” us about what had transpired. We never received any email from them, but received the other 10 emails just fine. I still don’t understand what “tried to email” means. My email account wasn’t closed for the day nor did my email address suddenly change.
Understandably, people make mistakes & maybe there could be a communication break-down. But the real problem was they made no absolutely no effort to fix the problem they created. When they noticed the problem (i.e. “tried” to email us) , they didn’t call the 2nd party & explain how we were already interested in that date for 2 weeks already. They didn’t ask us to hand in the deposit quickly because there was a there was a second interested party. They didn’t call the 2nd party & try to split the reservation with us. They simply just took their money & screwed us over. They said all they could really do was say sorry, offer us a complimentary one night stay in the coming months, & recommend us look into a different hotel.
After three more separate discussions trying to sort this thing out they weren’t even willing to call the 2nd party to say there was an oversight. They literally refused to do that because “that would create two problems”. Create two problems?!?! First off, it’s their problem they created. I don’t know why I am now responsible for fixing the problem they created. It was their mistake, their miscommunication, their oversight. I don’t know why now I have to deal with backing out of my signed contracts, fighting to get my other deposits back, finding new accommodations, a new wedding date, a different wedding venue- all because of an error they made. Any other respectful & professional company would have owned up to the mistake & took matters into their own hands to fix a problem they are responsible for. A company that isn’t willing to do that is not what I would be looking for during my wedding planning. These guys couldn’t even handle a reservation, & I would be afraid to see how they could handle a group event much less an actual wedding. Truth be told I am glad this came about & I don’t have to deal with them ever again. A company that isn’t willing to go the extra mile & “create two problems” to fix ur problem isn’t a company that I could depend on to host any part of my wedding. I would implore anyone to stay away from dealing with this facility, and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND using them
I had my wedding at the Joseph Ambler Inn. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding. The staff was great. Everything from the rehearsal dinner, to ceremony, reception, after party, and morning brunch were perfect. The property was beautiful and perfect for pictures
My husband and I got married at JAI a few weeks ago and everything was PERFECT - we cannot recommend them any higher! Wendi, as the overall coordinator, and Meg, our day-of coordinator, are amazing at their jobs - everything went off without a hitch and Meg was so attentive throughout the entire night to make sure we were being taken care of and that everything went according to our plans. All of our guests told us afterwards how much they enjoyed the unique venue and their guestrooms throughout the gorgeous property. The food is INCREDIBLE and everyone loved their entrees. This venue was perfect for our wedding and I wish we could do it all over again!
Perfect day!!!
We recently had our wedding at this venue (2/20/16) and we were amazed at how stress free it was to work with all of the staff. It definitely exceeded our expectations and we had a day we will never forget. We love the JAI and will be back for dinners whenever possible!! Food is outstanding.
Absolutely incredible wedding venue. The property is absolutely gorgeous and gave the most charming feel to our wedding. We held our rehearsal dinner in the John Roberts House, ceremony on the Inn grounds, Cocktail Hour in the outdoor pavilion (they provide heat lamps), and reception in the main ballroom. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests are still raving about it, near three months later. We attended three tastings during the year and a half we planned -- and we definitely had concerns (temperature issues and taste issues --- they don't do private tastings so with up to 100 other tasters the kitchen was spread pretty thin during these evenings). They assured us day of everything would be perfect --- and they absolutely met our expectations, in fact exceeded them! I include the tasting piece so other couples are not concerned with their day of meals. :-) Huge selection of menu options and upgrades so it was easy and fun to plan our rehearsal dinner and reception. Rehearsal dinner we did buffet with passed hor douerves (huge spread, great value, outstanding) and reception we did sit down with three menu options (equally perfect).
Our ceremony was on the Inn grounds --- we had guests faced away from the restaurant and our pictures could not have come out more gorgeous --- beautiful trees everywhere. We did the champagne tower prior to the ceremony and our guests absolutely loved this add on -- highly recommend.
Cocktail hour was underneath the pavilion with newly installed heat lamps that kept our guests warm. Perfect space to get the party started.
The reception came out absolutely gorgeous-- we took the Inn's predominant color -- red and worked that into everything. Red roses on every table, floating candles everywhere and red uplighting --- it had the most romantic feel -- and again I can't say enough about how gorgeous the pictures came out.
After party in John Roberts house where we were allowed to supply our own food and beverage.
We rented one full house Friday night and two full houses Saturday night + additional rooms and every room was cuter than the next. Our guests loved how expansive the property was and their accommodations. Inn works with you to select room choices so you can group your guests -- we had a parents house / quiter house and a "party house".
Awesome fire pits located throughout property where guests could gather.
Wendy (main planner) Allison (hotel liaison) and Meg (day of coordinator) were absolutely outstanding in making sure all of our needs were met. Meg or your day of coordinator runs through every last detail of how things should be set up throughout your events -- so don't stress too much about the details (like I did)-- they will be covered. Wendy and Allison were with us every step of the way and couldn't have been easier to work with.
I can't rave about the Joseph Ambler Inn enough!! Every experience from beginning till end was fabulous.
We stayed the whole weekend, and everything was perfect! Food was amazing and the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating.
52 rooms on the charming property and options to rent out a whole house with 10 guest rooms, 2 common areas, and a beautiful large covered porch..after party!! The whole experience was better than we could have dreamed. Highly, highly recommend!!
I had my wedding at Joseph Ambler Inn this past weekend. To say everything was perfect is an understatement! From our first point of contact throughout our checkout from the hotel, the staff was friendly, patient, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Wendi, Dan, Meg and the rest of the staff worked with us throughout every detail and everything came out so beautifully! They made things so easy for us throughout the planning process, and especially on the day of our wedding. We were able to attend a couple food tastings to choose our entrees and hors d'oeuvres, and we had a hard time deciding because everything was so good! We had many guests tell us it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. The grounds are gorgeous, with a country-type ambience that we just loved for our fall wedding. The hotel rooms are so cozy and comfortable - better than any other hotel room we've stayed in. We had an after-party after our reception ended where the staff displayed our food and drinks so nicely. Our ceremony was held outside at their beautiful pavilion that looked gorgeous in the evening when it was all lit up. We also had a great breakfast the morning after the wedding in their restaurant. We even received all of the leftover food from our buffet in boxes when we checked out, which we didn't expect. It was the wedding we had hoped for and more, and we'll be forever grateful to the staff for making our day so memorable. We can't wait to go back and eat/stay there again!
i may be biased, bc it was our wedding....but the joseph ambler inn was an amazing venue and it was the best wedding ever! our wedding theme was 'romantic and rustic' and this place delivered. the old stone buildings provided a perfect backdrop for our pictures. we opted for an outdoor ceremony between the trees on the lawn, thankfully we had great weather, and it was beautiful!
the food- oh my goodness, the FOOD!! we got so many compliments on the food. we decided on the buffet and chose filet mignon (requested to be cooked MR as to not over cook the meat-it came out perfect!), parmesan crusted chicken and chilean sea bass. most of guests said 'it was the best food they've ever had, and shocked that it was buffet style'- woop woop!! we had 150 guests, and did not want to have buffet set up on dance floor, so the joseph ambler staff split the 2 buffets and placed them in back of the room.
we worked mostly with wendi, she was amazing!! she worked with us to make sure every little detail was perfect. if we had a question (or several :) ) we'd email wendi and have an answer same day or next day. we can't say enough good things about the behind the scenes staff. the bartenders, waitstaff, and set-up crew were all fabulous. it seemed that everything moved seamlessly. we had a lot of decor, and all the staff needed were post-its to label what the item was and where it goes. they did a wonderful job setting up!
i would highly recommend the joseph ambler inn!! they have been doing weddings for several years and it shows--they are a well-oiled machine.
we looked at 2 other wedding venues and hands down, the joseph ambler was the perfect place for our wedding!!!!
I had my wedding and reception here in November of 2013. The scenery was perfect and everything turned out wonderful. Wendi(the coordinator) was super helpful throughout the whole process.
The Joseph Ambler Inn fit our wedding perfectly. We were married in the Farmhouse in front of fireplace right after Christmas, and everything was beautiful. The Inn is tastefully decorated and very colonial, elegant and understated. The staff was very accommodating to us, and promptly responded to our requests. The food and service was complimented by all our guests, especially the cocktail hour. It was very nicely done. We stayed upstairs overnight before and after the wedding in the Farmhouse, and it was very convenient. I would only say that the rooms are rather tight and a little noisy. But the old world authentic atmosphere is part of the charm of the Inn. The breakfast is very good. Overall fit our needs perfectly!
I just had my wedding a few weeks ago at the Joseph Ambler Inn and have not heard enough from friends and family about what a wonderful venue and a great wedding it was!! I must say I agree!! Wendi, Brian, and Keenan go above and beyond accommodating your needs and questions; they make you feel like you are their ONLY bride (even though they are booked every weekend). The venue is very unique in that it is an intimate and unique setting, perfect for our "destination" wedding. The inn coordinates a room block for you and your guests and even allows you to choose who is in which room. The rooms are lovely, spacious and updated with spa bathrooms. The actual reception room is charming and fits well with the overall theme of the inn. The food is delicious and Wendi works with you if there are any special requests. There are many food options for all tastes and they do coordinate a tasting before the wedding. As I was a bit of a DIY bride, the staff arranged all my decorations perfectly, no need for a coordinator when you book with the JAI. The staff also helps to coordinate an after party on their property and set up all of your food and drinks. Overall, this is a wonderful choice for a wedding venue, everything went PERFECTLY, I cannot recommend the Joseph Ambler Inn more!
