During our first call, I knew right away that Rachel was exactly what I needed: Type A personality, professional, enthusiastic, positive, organised.
In those 2 months she seamlessly took over everything and made me think of important details I oversaw during the planning process, especially details related to the venue.
Her goal is to make your perfect day stay perfect. She will have your back no matter what happens.

Rachel ended up being the MVP for our entire wedding. Day of Coordinator is an understatement. She went above and beyond with being the organized support my husband and I needed. We constantly communicated via phone and email, while also having three in-person meet ups. Rachel was awesome in preparing a schedule for the big day, estimating how long each portion would take, and providing room arrangement ideas among other planning strategies. She was easy to work with, super friendly, had a positive attitude even with curveballs we brought, and she was always quick to respond.
Well the weekend came and it all ran perfectly! The day prior to the wedding Rachel even met up with us to scoop up decorations, signs, table arrangements, photos, desserts, games we had custom prepared for the wedding. She insisted it would be taken care of and that to relax and focus on prep for your special day! Seriously, top class customer service and generosity. On our wedding day Rachel brought Emily to assist and they both worked so well with all our vendors to make The Casino San Clemente look and feel grand. Because we didn't do a rehearsal dinner, she even found time in the schedule to rehearse with all parties who were part of the ceremony. Everything went better than expected and we ended up always being ahead of schedule. My husband and I truly had a wonderful time throughout the day and never had to stress about anything. She came to meet us at the hotel in Laguna Niguel when we were getting ready, rode with me and my girls to the ceremony, made sure I got down the aisle and then took care of business back at LV for the reception. At the reception she constantly checked on us and kept us RIGHT on schedule so that we could get to dancing ASAP!
During our planning process she thought of everything and kept all of our notes neatly organized. Never missed an email or text, even right after her maternity leave! She listened to my concerns, understood my vision and didn't try to up sell me on anything. When it came time for our coordination meetings and phone calls, I felt so much better afterwards. Any issues I had, she had an easy solution to fix it. She helped recommend other vendors to us as well that were just as great. The last few weeks before the wedding, she was extremely helpful when it came to contacting all vendors, making sure final payments/details were set, etc. After the final walk-through, I knew that once the big day came, we would have nothing to worry about. The week leading up to my wedding, I was devastated to see that the forecast predicted rain on our wedding. Rain meant a lot of changes at this venue so I was FREAKING OUT. Luckily, Rachel and the team at The Villa had it all figured out. They kept me calm throughout the process, communicated with the vendors to make the necessary changes, and the day ended up being absolutely beautiful. Despite a little rain, I did not have the slightest bit of stress on the day of the wedding and this was largely due to Rachel!
If you think you can do it yourself, or have someone else do your day-of-corrdinating for you, I would suggest you don't go that route. Rachel and her team know the Villa from the inside out & they are the best people for the job. I always have a Plan A, B, C, etc. for each situation to ensure things turn out as perfect as possible, so having to hand the "baton" over was going to be a challenging, but I'm so grateful that I was able to trust Michelle who exceeded my expectations as my day of wedding coordinator.
Michelle was on point from our first meeting to the day of execution. She listens to what YOU want while looking out for your best interests in any recommendations she offers. She is organized, reliable, patient (I had a million questions!), and most importantly...her positive energy is contagious and what you need to surround yourself with especially during this time that can be so stressful.
In a nutshell...she's a go-getter and basically knows what she is doing so you are in good hands with her.

oordinator and she was with us every step of the way. She proactively set up calls with us and came prepared with to do lists and questions we hadn't even thought of before. As soon as we would get off the phone with her, I would see emails coming through from Miya to other vendors keeping things moving and correct.
Miya also had great suggestions for connecting us with other vendors in the area, ideas for decorating, how to structure the ceremony and reception, and how to keep all the various pieces on budget. Honestly, I don't think we could have pulled this all together without her!
On the actual day of the wedding, she had everything running like clockwork. I really didn't worry about a single thing. They say every wedding has at least one thing go wrong, but I can't think of anything that did, and that's all thanks to Miya and the other wonderful vendors working the event! She made it so we could just enjoy the day with no stress. If you're looking for someone who will take charge, not let anything slip through the cracks, have beautiful ideas, and also is just an all-around nice and wonderful person, you can't go wrong with Miya and the entire Joy n' Company team!

From the very beginning the team at Joy n' Company made us feel special and like we were their only clients. Rachel always listened and made sure she understood what we wanted and made recommendations or offered her opinion. She did nor force us to use someone if we didn't feel comfortable.
Every single detail was documented and double checked with us getting closer to the wedding and there is not a single thing that we could say didn't go well. Every detail was perfect and our wedding was so magical and many people said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. The Villa is magical and so intimate and they have chosen the best wedding coordinator in the business as far as we are concerned.
They were proactive and followed up on every element of the wedding. Rachel is a super woman and has the best bed side manner :). As everyone knows, weddings are like putting on a musical and there a lot of emotions to deal with, and Rachel deserved a Tony Award for Direction of our magical wedding!

Through our planning and with each point of contact with Michelle, she was quick to respond and furthermore made you EXCITED and made it FUN. Not every vendor we had made us feel that way and we were thankful for her.
Michelle was SO thorough. You can tell she is experienced by her questions and her recommendations to make the flow of your wedding even better. She provides a MASTER timeline/breakdown of your wedding which was so helpful for all our vendors and our family members. We had a few last minute changes the day before our wedding and she had everything down without skipping a beat.
Come our wedding day, our bridal party and family was on a first name basis with Michelle. EVERYONE was complimenting her. I did not have to worry about one thing and trusted her. She understood our vision and made it happen and come to life. Not to mention, if you are going to have someone in close contact with you and your closest family and friends on your wedding day you want to have someone that you’ll enjoy their presence and IS COOL, that’s Michelle.

I am an Event Planner myself so I decided to take on most of the planning and hire Michelle for my "Day of Coordinator." Not only was she a rockstar on the day of our wedding, but she was a huge help leading up to it. I From the moment we first connected, Michelle was on top of every single detail and handled everything like an absolute pro! She kept detailed lists and made sure to follow up after each call/meeting to make sure the information was correct. She also worked directly with our vendors to communicate timing and wedding day logistics, even reaching out months in advance with an initial timeline, which was a HUGE lift off my shoulders.
I was pretty calm going into our wedding weekend and honestly didn't think I was going to be very stressed (I think I was in denial). The day started off calm but as we got closer to the ceremony start time and I realized we were behind schedule, the stress started to sneak its way in. Once I saw Michelle at the venue I started to feel much better. She had been at the Casino setting up all morning and working with the vendors to make sure everything was on schedule. From that moment through the end of the night, Michelle was there to make sure everything happened just the way we had planned. We even had wedding guests come up to us that night and the days following the wedding to let us how perfect the evening was and some were surprised because "nothing went wrong" haha.
I cannot express how valuable it is as bride to have an experienced and talented wedding coordinator like Michelle. There are a lot of things that can go wrong at wedding, especially with all of the moving pieces and people involved with the day. I would not have been able to get through the wedding planning process or the wedding day without Michelle by my side. Not to mention, she is a really fun person with the most incredible energy and she clearly has a genuine love for what she does.
