Let me just add they were A BLAST to hang with and made taking photos fun. Joy photography was a nightmare to deal with. During the height of the Covid crisis in the dfw area we had to reschedule our wedding due to local government preventing wedding from...
being held and our venue was forced to be closed during our date. So we were forced to reschedule and we got our new date that worked for us with the venue and the other vendors however the new date didn’t work for Joy, so we were generous and said don’t worry about refunding the deposit just keep it because we imagine you have had a lot of cancellations/reschedules and she waited to see if our credit card would be charged for the full payment. However after the lack of communication from Joy (not responding for several days) we froze the credit card that way it wouldn’t be charged. Then she tried to come back and tell us that we should move our wedding to a date that worked for her or pay her the remaining balance of the her fees. And we politely mentioned to her that at no fault of our own that we were FORCED to reschedule our wedding and the new date was all that would work for all of the vendors and venue. She demanded yet again that we pay the full amount. And the only reason we got her to understand that we were not going to pay the full amount was because we pointed to her contract (that had unfair contract language that would never stand up in court) and she came back and never apologized or sympathized just simply said I cannot force you to pay.. Joy was very unprofessional she tried to be underhanded and take advantage of us as her customer. I would strongly discourage anyone from signing any contract with Joy because she has unfair contract language and puts you at a disadvantage as a customer.

To say that Joy is a delight to work with (she will keep you rolling in laughter and very comfortable during shoots) and one of the most creative people I have personally worked with is and understatement! From our initial interview to hire a photographer/videographer Joy blew us away with her personality and communication. Then she showed us her work. Her work is stunning and she listens to what you want to capture and delivers beyond expectation.
Throughout wedding day/evening and the "getting ready" period, Joy and her team moved and navigated around both the Groom and Bridal parties in addition to our guests like little ninjas :) capturing such special moments that we can carry with us forever.

the first time we had pictures taken for our engagement pictures. Joy made us feel relaxed and we laughed the whole time. We walked away from our engagement pictures like it was one of the best dates we had ever been on. I knew then that we had made the right decision.
We had joy for 11 hours on our wedding day. From the moment she walked in, she captured the day so naturally. We never felt rushed and family photos were done in under 15 minutes--something I was worried about! She kept us all calm and even calmed my mother by helping her bustle my dress!! EVERYONE (friends, family, people I hardly know) have commented on how beautiful our wedding photos are! Everyone at the wedding also commented how awesome and down to earth she was! The emotions she captured are breathtaking and bring tears to my eyes every time I look through them. I will cherish these photos for the rest of my life. One thing is for sure--Joy will be taking our photos for years to come! I would recommend her in a heart beat to anyone looking for a photographer in the DFW area!

I knew she was perfect! Her personality made our engagement pictures super relaxed and made us feel so comfortable being in front of the camera. She makes you feel comfortable and that is one reason her pictures come out so great! She is extremely fun and knows how to have a good time to get you in the right mind set for pictures! On the wedding day, it was almost 100 degrees at our outdoor venue, so you can assume how excited everyone was to get inside and cool off.
