As soon as I got engaged, Susan & Just Ink were the first vendor I knew I wanted to lock in! I'd admired her work for years and was so excited to have her design our invitations. We lived in Philly so with the short period of time we had she was so accommodating and helped us plan everything via phone and email. She sent us language templates with fonts/colors to help us with the planning process. She even mailed us samples of invitations we were considering (with different colors and paper styles) so we could see them in person and it helped so much with picking our invitation suite. Susan exceeded every expectation I had throughout the wedding paper design process! I could not be more grateful for Susan’s patience, eye for design and fun/creative ideas! I am thrilled that we chose to work with her and hope that we have the opportunity to work with her on something in the future. From our first meeting at her studio I knew she was special. We scoured over swatches to find the perfect shade of dusty blue and the perfect light gray-- two things that were extremely important to this very particular bride. I explained to Susan that I wanted something timeless but with a twist- something that my guests hadn’t seen before… and from that she had the most fun suggestions! She worked with me hand in hand to get ever detail perfect. From the custom calligraphy that we incorporated into every piece in the suite, to the vellum envelopes with custom address stickers and the coordinating vellum invite wraps, to finding the perfect letterpress with the lightest touch of gray (she even had me come to the letterpress shop to make sure it was absolutely perfect.) She was with me every step of the way and always responded in excitement with every tweak, detail, decision and adjustment. Susan always made me feel like she was just as excited as I was for the project. I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out- we received tons of compliments on the little details that we incorporated. Susan is simply awesome at what she does!

She is super organized, has various sample designs and fonts at her studio, and will collaborate with you to create the perfect invitation suite. We had a black and white themed wedding and wanted elegant invitations to match. Susan more than delivered with white letterpress invitations with black font and a blind hit pattern border (didn't know what this was called but saw it on one of Susan's previous invitations and she customized the design to match the quilted pattern we had on our cake). She is responsive, happy to answer any questions, and even took care of assembling the invitations.

I can not say enough amazing things about Susan! I had such a unique vision for my wedding stationery, and had no idea where to begin to start to make all of the pieces fit together. Susan was so patient, and during out consultation pulled out a million little ideas to make the idea come to life. In my invitation alone, I had letterpress, torn edges, AND foil painted edges and I honestly didn’t think it was possible to have all three elements in one invite – but she made it happen and boy did they come out PERFECTLY. I could not get enough complements on the final result, and I owe it all to Susan’s creativity and professionalism. When we came to her with our vision for other elements like images for our welcome letter, custom map, and calligraphy, she had fantastic recommendations on deck and made everything happen without me having to lift a finger. She also always made sure that our wording for our signs and that not a single one of our 200+ name cards got overlooked. Let me start off by saying this is the first time I’ve ever written a review in my life. But after working with Susan at Just Ink on Paper, I felt compelled to share just how WONDERFUL an experience it was from start to finish. I am from the Baltimore area, but live in NJ so other than meeting face to face one time, most of my interactions were on the phone or via email. She was so easy to work with, super responsive (can’t stress this enough – it was such a relief to get timely emails back from her because it made the process more conversational and fluid ), creative, understood my vision immediately, and above all extremely professional. After one quick meeting, she sent me a mockup of my invitation that perfectly captured the look we were going for (including a custom monogram that she designed and we later used in other aspects of our day). She also created a custom timeline that everyone was raving about! She worked within our budget to create something personalized and elegant. After the invitations were done, Susan also took them to the post office and mailed them. We sent invites all over the US as well as to countries in Europe and South America. It was immensely helpful in the midst of wedding planning to not have to worry about this step. I could trust that Susan would send them out on time and with correct postage. I would recommend Just Ink on Paper to anyone looking for personalized, high quality, affordable invitations. Susan McArdle is a fabulous designer and creative professional. I was impressed with her design experience and warm personality. When we first met with her, she took the time to get to know us and get a feel for our style and ideas on what we wanted to do. She has an extensive portfolio and showed us different designs and offered suggestions on things I wanted to include. I wanted a unicorn theme on my invitations and Susan incorporated that into each of the pieces we wanted to use. She gave us some unique ideas that made the invitations exceptional. Susan is spectacular! I'm a paper person and knew that the save the dates and invitations would set the tone for our guests, which Susan totally understands. She came up with the idea of an extra large fold out map for our save the date that guests were raving about up until our perfect invitations came out. Susan has a perfectionist's eye for quality, and was extremely cognizant of font size, (exact) color coordination, and utility when she helped us with our day of items. She was more than happy to adjust proofs and give suggestions along the way until we were completely ecstatic with the final product. I can't wait to use JIOP for our next big event.

The caliber of my wedding would not have come to fruition if it were not for the amazingly talented team of vendors we had for our special day. I had a dream theme in mind, I wanted a classic Gatsby, old Hollywood glam feel, and for my invitations I wanted an art deco meets modern feel, & my wedding planner, Elle Ellinghaus, along with the amazing team of her recommended vendors made my dream wedding come true even better than I imagined. I honestly don’t think I could have gotten through it if it weren’t for Susan at Just Ink on Paper. I am a graphic designer as well, so I wanted the ability to give a lot of creative input into my wedding stationary, but wedding planning & work got so busy that I wasn’t able to take on designing as much of my own pieces as I would have liked. Susan collaborated with me on the invitations, where she had amazing ideas to put my vision to life. We did an art deco design with beautiful gold foil pressed invitations with a gold glitter backing adhered & wrapped in a black & white ribbon to tie together the invitation as well as the vision. I called her freaking out a few times because I wasn’t going to have the time to design anything else like I originally wanted, and she was so sweet & calm, she took the wheel & took over producing all of the remaining stationary needs; she took care of my menus, programs, table numbers & signature drink signs, and everything was absolutely stunning. Susan made my dreams come true & she did it with a smile. She is so talented & friendly, I will 100% use her again for any future needs, & I highly recommend her. Choosing invitations can be overwhelming even when you have a vision of what you want. Meeting with Susan of Just Ink On Paper made the whole process approachable, and she helped explain all of the different choices along the way. Her studio has lots of samples which made it easy for me to put together what I wanted for our invitations. We went back and forth with a number of drafts and Susan was very patient with me and made all of the little tweaks I asked for to personalize our invitation suite. We had a tiny hiccup once the invitations were printed, but Susan immediately made everything right so that it all went off without a hitch. Everyone raved over how beautiful the invites were, plus you can't beat working with local vendors!

Susan is the BEST! Between a short questionnaire and a few minutes discussion, Susan really understood exactly what we were looking for in our invitations and was able to help us craft beautiful invitations that portrayed our venue and style. She is extremely professional and I was so impressed with how on top of her email she was - any question, comment, or concern I had was always answered within a few hours (even minutes!). I was also impressed that after our first meeting we had a game plan for Susan to create some invitation proofs for us and she said she would have something to us 'in about a week' - well, only two days later Susan delivered our proofs! From there, the process was seamless - we were able to finalize everything through email, and the turn around time to have the invitations printed was so reasonable!! We actually just picked up our invitations about a week ago and I couldn't be happier with the turnout! I honestly never thought I would get this excited about invitations, but that's how good they are :). Lastly, if you are interested in having your invitations sealed with wax seals, she has a little secret to the perfect seals so check her out!!

We would give her an idea and she would create the most stunning design. It was so easy to work with Susan as she would provide ample options but also knew when to be honest with us to keep us on track with our vision. It was such a fun process working with her as this was truly the only thing we could actually 'see' before our big day. We received SO many compliments about every bit of stationary. I was in a wedding for which Susan had done the invites and I was instantly sold. Here's the catch, I was not even engaged yet! BUT when we did become engaged I knew I just had to work with her. I have nothing but great things to say about Just Ink on Paper - Susan was so nice and she absolutely killed all of our stationary needs. I used Just Ink on Paper for my invites and ceremony/reception items. I loved everything! I especially loved how navy and gold ink was used to take it up a notch. Susan carried my invitation theme throughout my ceremony and reception items including place cards and menus which added a nice touch. I had no idea what to expect when meeting to talk invitations. I am a very indecisive person and Susan didn't make this any easier for me with all of the wonderful options she presented us. Susan and Just Ink on Paper are the absolute BEST! From start to finish Susan was wonderful- she was very budget conscious and carefully explained all our pricing options. She was always quick to point out where we could save money if we needed to. We wanted custom designed wedding invitations and after showing Susan bits and pieces of various invitations that we liked, she sent us a beautiful proof that incorporated everything we asked for. She was also a great resource when we had questions about etiquette, wording, or timing. Susan was super responsive (often responding to emails within minutes and during all hours of the night) and very gracious and patient no matter how many little variations we asked to see. I am an absolute perfectionist, but I’ve met my match with Susan- she didn’t miss a thing. I loved our invitations just from the proofs, but I couldn’t believe how gorgeous they looked in person. All the materials were top quality and packaged beautifully. We mailed the invitations a few days ago and are already hearing from our family and friends who are telling us these are the nicest invitations they’ve ever seen. After seeing how fantastic our invitations turned out, we had Susan design our ceremony programs, menus, and our dessert table labels. They were beautiful! Susan created a custom collection of invitations, table numbers and a seating chart for my wedding that was absolutely beautiful. We met several times and communicated over email for months on the pieces, and she was exceptionally helpful in giving suggestions where I wasn't sure on the design. After getting somewhat frustrated when I wasn’t able to find invitations that I loved anywhere, I finally decided that custom was the way to go, and I’m so glad I stumbled across Susan’s website and decided to hire her. She was fabulous to work with. I came to her with a bunch of disjointed ideas, and she was able to make sense of it all and come up with a motif that really fit our personal style in some unexpected ways. We went through quite the design collaboration process – but she was always quick to respond and was so patient with me! She graciously put up with my ‘designer’ side through many rounds of proofs, helping me edit and focus. By putting both of our heads together, I think we came up with a great blend of ideas – a very cool mix of vintage and modern, with a bit of a playful side. The final result was a whole suite of wedding elements that were one-of-a-kind and uniquely ours. Her work added a ton of character and style to the wedding and I loved the enthusiasm she had for our project.
