We had our daughter's rehearsal dinner in the Brookside Room at the hotel. From initial inquiry through the follow-up after our event we were treated with great professionalism and care. Jaimee Jansen, the Catering Sales Manager, helped us greatly during the planning and execution of the event. She was very communicative and responsive to our requests. The food was excellent and the service was first-rate. Our guests raved about the facility, food, and service. We were very pleased with the whole experience and give them our highest recommendation!

Having both the ceremony and reception in one place made for easy logistics for the bridal party and our guests! we received so many compliments on how the wedding felt like it was tailored to ease of our guests and that's exactly what my husband and I wanted.
The staff that helped out with our day was exception to our vendors with assisting them with their setup/room flips, as well as, just creating a smooth & beautiful day.
I truly can't describe how beautiful the reception was in their grand ballroom, the chandeliers and warmth in the room really helped to elevate our overall esthetic we were going for.

The Marriott was great to work with… They were very flexible on options and tried to accommodate us the best they could. Bridget, the banquet captain, was amazing, she was so sweet...
and even came up to me the night of the reception and wished me congratulations. We had a lot of allergies in our family too and she took that very seriously. Also her personality just rocks. The staff was all friendly and prompt, I don’t feel like any of our food was delayed coming out. The venue was set up as we asked and everything we requested was executed perfectly. I noticed no mishaps if there were any behind the scenes! Krista, the events coordinator, was really responsive to emails and communicated really well. She made sure all the details were as I wanted them. We had a lot of out-of-town guests, and they seemed that the hotel accommodations were fine. Of course there are always some cons when planning an event this large but they were all minor and able to resolved. There is always room to improve but what was offered was perfect for what we were looking for!

with the decorations, food (get the BBQ buffet!), drinks, and most importantly, service provided by all staff! Not only Robin and Morgan, who help with coordinating the event and rooms; but front desk, bartenders, and wait staff. If you are looking for a stress-free, all inclusive venue, this is the place to book! Thank you Marriott staff for making our wedding so wonderful!

With that being said, it is off main street and not off the plaza directly so there is quite a bit of traffic and they didn't have a shuttle system we could use for our guests (this would have had to be something we set up and paid for on our own). They were great and super helpful in coordination of our guests welcome bags. It was a bit frustrating getting the honeymoon suite organized because we were told it would be comped with our number of guest rooms but that wasn't the case. There were a couple guests whose rooms got bounced around and one couple who's room was affected with smoke from a fire and they weren't comped anything for the inconvenience. Overall, I (the bride) had a good experience but feel bad knowing not all my guests would say the same.

nd she would regularly check in with us making sure we were meeting all deadlines. She was very responsive and patient with all of our questions. Anna was great to work with. She also had great ideas and suggestions to make the day special.
Everyone else was wonderful as well; Morgan who was the guest room coordinator and Carissa in Audio Visual who came up with some beautiful lighting ideas. The front desk was also so helpful when we were unloading, answering questions and giving recommendations for restaurants etc. for our guests.
The rooms were lovely - we had a suite and were able to host some family and friends in our room with beautiful views overlooking the Plaza. The bar and lobby area was perfect as we were able to visit with our friends and family who had traveled to KC in a nice comfortable setting. So many of our guests have commented on how well everything went not only at the reception, but what a nice hotel it was and how helpful and friendly the staff all were.
As for the reception, literally nothing went wrong. We were able to enjoy the evening and spend time with family and friends and didn't have to worry about anything. We highly recommend the Marriott Country Club Plaza for any event.

Deluxe King room. It's a corner room with windows all around with a beautiful view of the plaza. The natural light and size made it the perfect room for her and her bridesmaids to do their hair and makeup. Anna Singleton was our contact and I can't say enough good things about her. From the beginning to the end she was always going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!! I would highly recommend this hotel and Anna if you are looking for the perfect hotel for your wedding party.

the event from beginning to end. Anna was wonderful. We communicated by emails after our first in person meeting. Anna was very good at responding to my questions and helping me make good choices. We had 44 people and had the plated dinner with the three choices of main course we gave our guest. The sirloin strip, salmon and chicken were all excellent and the staff working the event was wonderful. The bartender and wait staff took care of all items without issues. Since we had the Plaza Terrace Room there was a balcony that we were able to use to enjoy the evening weather. Everyone that attended raved about the excellent space, atmosphere, food and staff. My guest were thoroughly impressed with the hotel. It has a modern look and feel. The rooms were really nice. Our bridal suite was AMAZING with great views of the plaza.

with her. She not only covered every detail she provided us with valuable ideas to help making our wedding special. Her staff called us by name every time we went to meet with her and on our wedding weekend! We had the request for a private area for just the groom and I to dine before being announced post-cocktail hour, and not only did our private dining room include a fully decorated table to match our reception, but she staffed it with 2 private servers, introduced the evening manager, event manager, and bar manager to us in case we needed anything and she was unavailable to help! She also had our chosen meals and "extra side of risotto" we requested! And as far as I know, we were not charged ANYTHING extra for our private dining room, that truly made our wedding day dreams come true!! Not to mention, the entire hotel has recently been remodeled and gorgeous! I would highly highly highly recommend the Marriott Country Club Plaza if you're looking for an amazingly phenomenally memorable turn-key reception with NO worry or stress! I would trust Anna and the whole staff with any large event really truly amazing!!

The Marriott Country Club Plaza staff was very attentive which made our event purely stress free. The room was amazing, the servers were very attentive and the food was outstanding! As the Mother of the Bride, I received numerous comments from the guests about how lovely everything was, how friendly, helpful, and efficient the staff was to everyone who attended!
After the wedding reception the staff took great care to organizing and packing all of the decorations, which made it easy to pick up the next day.
Nothing makes a mother feel better than knowing your daughter's wedding reception was "perfect"!

ng venue, but also the Plaza for our out of town guests. The entire staff from the valet team to the front desk and cleaning services were so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were also perfect for our large bridal parties (9 on each side!)! The hair/makeup crew also fit perfectly in the suite.
We needed a first look spot and we were able to use the balcony on the 3rd floor which made for beautiful pictures for us to have forever.
We worked with Anna as our coordinator and she made sure everything was perfect! Thank you to Anna and the team for being the perfect host for our wedding weekend!

so easy to work with and was great about answering all of our questions quickly. We also had all of our out of town guests stay at the hotel and they were very accommodating. The hotel has been remodeled and looks beautiful. Very convenient location to museums, Plaza, the best BBQ and the church for our ceremony.

aff - The entire staff made us feel like royalty....I never wanted for anything because they were on top of it all. This includes all of the staff at the door who helped us with all the heavy lifting to the lobby bar staff who we definitely put to work every night, to the staff that served us and almost became family by the end of the night. We also loved the front desk and shuttle since we had someone who had to go to the emergency room (took our guest there and also helped her get her prescription). Above and beyond is all I can say!!!
Hotel - Guest rooms were great....especially ours! Beds were very comfortable. The venue had spectacular views! We took a cool picture in front of the art work in the lobby that was stunning - totally recommend it!
Food - We went with the filet, asparagus and dauphinoise potatoes. It was all cooked perfectly...and the filet was extremely tender. Very much exceeded our expectations!
Price - very affordable and worth every penny!!!! Even settling all the charges at the end was very painless. Like another person wrote - very transparent and we didn't have any surprises!

I each stayed in one of the Deluxe suites the night before with our bridal party. The rooms were huge and provided a great deal of space to relax with our friends and get ready on wedding day. The view from the room was fantastic. You see the entire Plaza area and almost into downtown from the 180 degree panoramic style windows. The bathrooms, living area and bedrooms are a perfect modern style that my wife and I love.
We had our first look at the hotel and our pictures are beautiful. The space yields so many unique areas for memorable pictures you probably can’t get anywhere else. Our pictures from the day of events at the hotel are some of our favorites. We stayed in the deluxe suite again our wedding night and were greeted with chilled champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
Anna, the wedding and event coordinator, was a pleasure to work with. She was always responsive, helpful, patient and a treat to talk to. The front desk staff, valet and anyone else you came across from the hotel staff always smiled and asked what they could do to help. The updates the hotel has made pay off BIG!! If you want to experience a great day of atmosphere, a modern and elegant place for your guests to stay and a boat load of memories that won’t fade stay here at this excellent hotel.

courteous, they accommodated every one of our wishes, and made the whole wedding planning process so easy for two guys who had no idea what they were doing. Prices and services were extremely transparent and there were never any surprises or "gotchas" along the way. And let's not forget, the venue, lobby and rooms of this hotel are beautiful. I will recommend this venue for all a thousand times over.

We used the Plaza Marriott as our hotel for all of our out of town guests. We had NO idea how many rooms to book and Anna made the process SO easy! She was a breeze to work with ...
and made this very stressful part of wedding planning make sense. We still had a few last minute guests booking rooms the week before and she helped get that coordinated even though it was past the date. The entire hotel was recently remodeled and it is beyond beautiful. Everyone commented on how much they loved their stay. We made goody bags for our guests, and they were very helpful in making sure our guests received them. The location and price made this hotel a no-brainer. Thanks for everything!

Worked with Anna throughout the year in coordinating our wedding for about 300. I couldn't have asked for any better service than she gave us while getting everything setup. We i...
nitially went to her and said all we knew is that we wanted to throw a party and didn't really care about all the small details. She took care of the small stuff for us and also worked with us on getting the bar set the way we wanted. She was easy to work with on the room block and was quick to respond to any question or request that we had. She was available to the last minute for our reception.
The day of the reception went on without any problems that we know of. We had around 225 there for 5 hours of open bar and didn't hear any complaints from any of our guests about waiting in lines or not getting what they need. Food was also wonderful and they can adapt for any dietary needs for your guests.
Overall, I wouldn't change a thing, especially using the Marriott. Anna put us in a position to just answer questions instead of trying coordinate everything behind the wedding. We initially had sticker shock, but once we started putting together all the costs at other venues that are included at the Marriott, the costs were pretty much the same. Also, beautiful rooms for a great price that they offer for your room block.

g that we wanted to happen and made last minute changes happen without making it seem stressful. We loved the staff and the entire stay for us and our guests was amazing. Even the next morning, the staff was congratulating us and the barista at the Starbucks gave me a free coffee! This is the way to go, no coordinating of vendors or setup/cleanup. Anna has your back, she's so easy to work with. We had zero issues.
