Hi, I'm Kari Tusler. My video making hobby got a little "Karied Away" and, next thing you know, I now own a small business. As I've learned and grown my business, I've come up with a few key philosophies that are important to Karied Away Video:
1). Say it loud for the vendors in the back: PUT YOUR PRICING ON YOUR WEBSITE. At Karied Away Video, I believe in pricing transparency. I've been through the whole wedding planning process myself, and one of the most frustrating parts was trying to compare vendors without knowing the pricing. That's why I keep my entire price list available on my website. If KAV fits your budget, let's connect!
2). My goal is to tell a story that lasts forever. You're going to spend a lot of money on a lot of things at your wedding. Video is one of the few of those that you'll get something back in return for your investment. It allows you to relive all the movement, sounds, emotions, and moods of your special day. This is your sign to book the videography.
3). Why Karied Away Video? I consider my shooting style as "natural and candid." I find that letting the camera roll and the times it's least expected is what captures some of the best moments that may otherwise go unnoticed. I always tell my couples, "If you're wondering if I'm filming, the answer is always YES." The art and challenge that I love about videography is being on the lookout and always ready for all those unscripted moments.

In my high school Business Comm class, our class project was to form a mock business staffed by my classmates taking on various roles necessary to run the business. I signed up for the marketing team. My teacher pulled me aside, advising that I switch because I didn't seem like the marketing type. (I have always been introverted and on the quiet side.) As one could expect, not only did I stay on that marketing team, but I now have a degree in the field, work full time as a Marketing Specialist, and am the solo owner of my very own business, Karied Away Video.
