My name is Kari Schiefelbein, and my video-making hobby got a little "Karied away!" With a large family comes many weddings, and I have been an avid wedding attendee for as long as I can remember. What sparked the idea to merge my love of weddings with my love of video making was when a relative asked me if I could videograph his ceremony and reception. I said yes, but I would have to learn how first - I had a year to prepare. I then got myself a part-time job shooting weddings for Complete Weddings and Events out of Fargo and absolutely loved it all. Karied Away Video was born. As a New Year's resolution to start my own business, I legally structured Karied Away Video as an LLC in 2023. As the business grows, I hope to turn it into my full-time career. What a dream job it is to be part of capturing memories for couples on their big day, and I cannot wait to capture yours.

try something new and live streamed our ceremony since I have family members states away that can’t travel due to health reason. Plus her prices are extremely affordable which is a plus

You don't think I can? Watch me. In my high school Business Comm class, our class project was to form a mock business staffed by my classmates taking on various roles necessary to run the business. I signed up for the marketing team. My teacher pulled me aside, advising that I switch because I didn't seem like the marketing type. (I have always been introverted and on the quiet side.) As one could expect, not only did I stay on that marketing team, but I now have a degree in the field, work full time as a Marketing Specialist, and am the solo owner of my very own business, Karied Away Video.
