Kate's Wedding Planning Services

I’ll start by saying that I’m not someone that leaves negative reviews. The ONLY reason I’m doing so is to protect another bride’s peace and save others from wasting their money. Kate was an absolute nightmare to work with and you know it’s bad when a wedding party of 20 all have negative things to say and every vendor says “you shouldn’t have to be dealing with this.” I am SO thankful the other vendors picked up her slack. Kate’s communication was consistently poor. I would send a text on a Monday and wouldn’t hear back until Friday. After creating the timeline, I was hesitant on how close together everything was and that dinner was set to be 15 mins. which would have been impossible. I asked her to hold off on sending the timeline as I knew the photographer would want to make changes. She sent out an email to all of the vendors with the incorrect timeline and the wrong wedding date! She had said she would call each vendor individually a month prior and 3 weeks before, all vendors confirmed that the email was the first they had heard from her. The email also included MANY mistakes to the point that the hotel coordinator printed it out to show me all of the mistakes that I can’t even begin to count. Kate’s response to this was “Well, I only made one mistake.” She had an attitude and was very rude. There were at LEAST 10 mistakes…and that’s not even including all the spelling errors. As a professional, you should proofread your work, especially when sending it to every vendor. Kate was late to the rehearsal and very clearly didn’t know what she was doing and snapped at multiple people in the wedding party. I’m so thankful that I didn’t trust her with the bulk of the items that needed to be dropped at the venue as she brought nothing to the rehearsal to transport stuff with. I have no doubt that stuff would have gotten broken as she broke our welcome mirror during the ceremony that was supposed to make it to the reception and lied about it. On the day, I was hopeful she would turn it around but she was no where to be found. I had to send bridesmaids down to let the vendors up because Kate never came up to check in. THANK GOODNESS for the photographer who had printed out the schedule and kept us on track all day as she gave no guidance. The florist had to clean up after her. The hotel coordinator said she and her assistant had to light all the candles because Kate didn’t and do a handful of other things she’d left out. She was supposed to bring an assistant which didn’t happen. My husband, (a carpenter) constructed a wall for photos to be taken in front of that was supposed to have the flowers from the ceremony arch hung on the top two corners. Because Kate didn’t bring a ladder or assistant, that dream didn’t happen. She lied and said it was because they were too heavy but again, the wall was built by a carpenter who worked with the florist to ensure it was possible. She was also supposed to call the park to have a door unlocked for guests to enter through so the other door could solely be for the wedding party. She never called. My brother passed out from a small getting ready room filled with 12 people that was too hot. She told everyone in the wedding party not to tell me…even EMS came. She threw the pocket square flowers at my other brother and snapped at him “She doesn’t need this right now! Have him put this on when he wakes up.” Please head my advice and don’t let this woman ruin your day. She’s the epitome of unprofessionalism!
