Katydid Flowers

We used Katydid for our September 2023 wedding. We had a bit of a unique idea, using thrifted vases of differing sizes for the centerpieces. We worked with Katydid ahead of time to decide what flowers and greenery we wanted to include in the vases, as well as flowers for us and our wedding party. We were so happy with how everything turned out! A month later and we're still savoring the last of the centerpiece flowers at our home.

Flowers came out absolutely incredible. We rented vases for our centerpieces and got so many compliments! They are reasonably priced. Great communication and were able to answer any questions we had.

I’m so happy we selected Katydid as our wedding florist! The flower arrangements and bouquets were well above our expectations. The color schemes I asked for were met and executed beautifully. I adore my bouquet! Katie and Kim were wonderful to work with and very communicative and accommodating. We had to reschedule our event due to covid and they made the transition to a new date worry-free. Would absolutely recommend them as your wedding florist!

Katydid Flowers did all of the floral arrangements for our wedding and did an absolutely stunning job, we were so pleased with everything from my bouquet, the centerpieces, a whole arrangement on an outdoor trellis, flowers for our wedding cake, boutonnières, even a handheld posy - everything was gorgeous!!! Kim was so communicative throughout the planning process, down to re-confirming the ceremony arrangement style with me the week of the wedding after finding out the venue had switched from a gazebo to a trellis. So impressed, highly recommend!!

Katydid Flowers did an amazing job with the bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and décor for our wedding! We met with Kim a few times and she was always friendly and could easily envision what we wanted. When we had to rework everything due to COVID-19, Kim worked with us and helped us select the most appropriate arrangements for our intimate ceremony. We can't wait to work with them again next year for our big reception!

Katydid Flowers came as a top vendor recommendation from our reception venue, and as soon as I met with Kim I knew why! I pretty much had no idea how to describe my vision, so I showed them a few pictures from pinterest and asked what their opinions were. Immediately Kim began describing what she wanted to do and everything sounded amazing, from the centerpieces, to the bouquets, to the church flowers. They were so organized with the emails, invoices, and delivery day-of. The flowers were stunning, all of them! They made me the most gorgeous cascading bridal bouquet, and all of the other bouquets were just as beautiful. Between the big bridal party, church, and reception decorations, we had SO many flowers, and everything went exactly where it needed to be, and every piece was consistently beautiful.

Katydid Flowers rocked our world and added to the beauty of our wedding! We were given a large number of vendors from our venue, but one visit to Katydid sealed the deal. Their arrangements are so unique and beautiful, each befitting the occasion and each with personalized details and exquisite care. Katy and Kim were a true delight to work with. While we did most of the arrangements from across the country, we had several calls and emails going over details, and when we were in town to visit family, they greeted us as if we had been lifelong friends. They were adaptable, honest and knew how to work within any budget. They steered us away from unnecessary items and gave us great choices that made the venue come alive with color. All of our guests were stunned by the beauty of the arrangements and the value we received for the price paid. We can't recommend Katydid Flowers highly enough. Use them for any special occasion - but for a wedding... a MUST!

My bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, and center pieces were gorgeous! Going in, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. We worked with Kim and she was super responsive and listened to our ideas. My face lit up when I saw everything!! It was absolutely perfect!

Our flowers were beautiful. They weren't quite what I asked for and incorporated a lot that we didn't discuss. Kim seemed frazzled and unorganized throughout the process. We were given a sample centerpiece that we were not pleased with. I re-iterated my request for certain flowers and sent pictures for inspiration and some changes were made (not all). It still seemed difficult to get flowers that I requested based on the season we had, which I didn't think should have been an issue. Overall, it seemed like only bits of what I wanted were honored and the rest were either ignored or "unavailable". I asked for a small bouquet - it was huge. I asked for eucalyptus to gather the table cloths at cocktail hour - they were some fern vine things I had never seen before. I asked for peonies and lily of the valley and I didn't get those either. My husband also never got his boutonnière that we paid for. Overall, the flowers had me concerned throughout the entire planning process and I felt like I wasn't really being heard. However, they did come out nice.

This florist is the best of the best! Our bouquets, corsages, centerpieces, everything came out so beautiful! We were so happy with it all. We definitely recommend Katydid Flowers! You will not be disappointed!

I was not a “bride with a vision”! I went to Katydid with a couple photos (that were all very different!) of floral arrangements that I thought were pretty. They took my very limited input and pulled together magic! The bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful! Super easy to work with and contact! End product was amazing.

Katydid Flowers did an amazing job on our flowers for our wedding at the Grand View in Mendon, Ma. Katy and Kim were easy to work with and really understood the look we were going for. I was absolutely blown away when I saw the final products for our bouquets and centerpieces. People complimented the flowers all night; truest lovely! We can't thank you enough!!

Katydid produced beautiful arrangements for our 20+ person wedding party and was able to deliver to a wedding in Southern RI with an extremely reasonable price. My consultation visits with Kim did not get off on the right foot and never quite recovered, but though we may not be the best of friends, the product produced was gorgeous.

Katydid Flowers did an absolutely stunning job for our wedding on 9/29 at Lake Pearl. Originally I had met with two potential florists but Katydid was more professional, knowledgeable, and overall likeable. I felt comfortable and knew I was making the correct choice. I showed Kim one picture and she knew right away what I was looking for and listed all the flowers she would incorporate, & even made a sample bouquet before the wedding. You can clearly see how passionate and hardworking they are at Katydid. Great communication, fast responses and everything was better than I could have imagined. Kim at Katydid was amazing. She worked really hard to pull together beautiful centerpieces for my wedding. She was always available and willing to change anything that I asked. She's been in the wedding business for a long time, even when she has a ton going on , she was cool as a cucumber and very professional. I would absolutely use this place again

Katydid was absolutely amazing. Kim knew exactly what we needed and made it happen. Even when a last minute change needed to be made she rolled with it. I had an initial different vision for my bouquet, but as Kim reminded me no flowers are actually teal- and spraying them wasn’t looking good. We came up with a plan B to use pale pink roses to honor my grandmother who passed earlier this year, and my bouquet was absolutely stunning. Our center pieces at the Grand View were amazing. It was perfect, thank you again so much!

Unfortunately I had a hard time working with Kim (the head of weddings). She took awhile to get back to me via email and need to be corrected on prices multiple times. I ended up just calling and asking to speak with Katy who was more helpful. I also had trouble when picking out flowers. Since I don't know many types of flowers I needed direction, but within the colors and guidelines I gave. Instead I ended up going to a family friend to find out all the flower names I wanted and then told them. Sadly though one of my flowers wasn't available at the time of the wedding and they replaced it with a flower I had specifically said in an email that I didn't want. My mother had to call and have them adjust the bride's bouquet and the centerpieces multiple times the day before. It was very stressful.

Kim at Katydid Flowers was amazing to work with. She listened to my daughter's dream for her wedding centerpieces and bouquets. The outcome was amazing - all of the flowers were fresh, beautiful and so artistically arranged. I highly recommend Katydid.

I loved the centerpieces that Katydid for my wedding! I had two larger pieces to decorate the gazebo we were married in, along with a smaller arrangement for my card/guestbook table as well - They were perfect and everything I had wanted! White hydrangeas surrounded with a peach rose and lots of greenery - Very happy with what we got!

The arrangement for the church was lovely as were the bouquets for the bridesmaids. While the bridal bouquet was beautiful, not quite what I was hoping for. It was supposed to have much more purple with a little white, and the girls were to be white with a little purple. My bouquet looked like a larger version of the bridesmaids. Pretty, just not what I wanted. We did had several communication issues. More than once we were told we had to pay a balance when we in fact paid and they had cashed the check for the event months in advance. We also had an issue where because we paid in full, we paid for a corsage we ended up not needing. We contacted them, explained the situation and we asked if we could get credited or even allocate that money towards the church arrangement. Instead we were told we owed money which wasn’t true. We are still waiting to see if we will ever get that money back for a corsage we didn’t need. But what was most upsetting was the delivery woman. She was so rude to the bride, the bride’s family, and the groom. She arrived 30 minutes late from the time that was stipulated. When she arrived she yelled “flowers it’s raining!” when we didn’t open the door immediately, again she was 30 min late. She was angry it was raining, and started giving the brides parents attitude because we didn't have the door open and waiting for her. She then was asking the brides parents how to get to the church. Something she should already be prepared to get to since it’s in all the paperwork, and as a delivery person it's her job. As my parents were explaining the directions she cut them off and said how she’s done plenty of weddings there. If that was true why bother asking? And yet she continued to ask for directions. When she finally arrived at the church she was equally as unpleasant to the groom. When the groom came to get his boutonniere, which was just to be left at the church, he hugged a few friends quickly who walked by. When he asked for his boutonniere, she replied "well I can't pin it on you if you are just going to keep hugging people" in a completely rude tone. To which he could only respond, "that is easy, I just wont hug people", like he should ignore family and friends coming in. Completely unacceptable. It’s our wedding day, that’s not how you speak to people.

Katydid Flowers was the florist for our wedding located at the Grand View in Mendon, MA and they was more than amazing and beyond accommodating. My husband and I had a hiccup in our wedding plans - long story short, Hurricane Irma destroyed our U.S.V.I wedding venue 6 weeks before our wedding, leaving us little time to re-plan. Finding Katydid Flowers and booking them on such short notice was truly a blessing. Katydid Flowers is professional, punctual, organized, easy to work with and as mentioned above, extremely accommodating. We gave them no real direction, aside from some Pinterest pictures and they completely nailed our wedding inspiration – from the centerpieces to the headpiece our flower girl wore (and loved), everything was perfect! Katydid Flowers provided the bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, flower girl headpiece, flower girl basket & flowers, centerpieces and two large flower pots for our ceremony. I also had some pendants added to my bouquet (last minute) and they was no fuss about it, they worked with us and everything turned out beautifully. If you’re on the fence about what florist to pick and someone who is professional, accommodating and wiling to bring your wedding vision to life, Katydid Flowers is your spot!

When the Katydid team walked in the morning of my wedding with our flowers I was stunned at how beautiful, fresh and elegant they were. The arrangements, most especially my bridal bouquet exceeded my expectations and Katydid truly nailed my vision. They were great to work with all the way through the planning stages and executed flawlessly and timely on the floral arrangements. The centerpieces were a mix of floral and candles and they did a stunning job with that as well. They are located in Mendon but came all the way to Wellesley and Quincy! They were on time and on top of getting everything where it needed to be. I have been receiving non-stop compliments on the flowers. They truly did an amazing job and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone and everyone in the Blackstone Valley or Greater Boston area!

There are a lot of things to stress about as a bride. I can honestly say that you will never have to worry or stress about your flowers if you use Katydid. Kim and Katie are like your best girlfriends-the ones you know you can count on to be there for you. I never worried that I would receive anything less than perfection with my wedding flowers, just I have never received anything less than amazing with any flowers I have ever ordered from them. Katydid was referred to us by our wedding coordinator at Grand View in Mendon where my wedding took place this past September. We had a very clear vision as to what we wanted and Katydid delivered! Their knowledge of the wedding venue and space was invaluable and their suggestions were spot on. They were willing to work with us on every single detail and went above and beyond to create gorgeous centerpieces, ceremony flowers and bouquets for myself and bridesmaids. We were thrilled with how everything turned out!

I chose KatyDid to be my vendor of choice for flowers and I am extremely happy with the way the flowers turned out. We had ordered eiffel tower centerpieces, along with flowers for the bridal party, the reception, and the ceremony. I came into not knowing which flowers to pick, which Kim did an amazing job with the recommendations. Everyone at the wedding complemented on how beautiful the arrangements and centerpieces looked. Highly recommend!

Only reason I'm giving one star is because giving none isn't an option. I used this place for my wedding in July and it's taken me this long to calm down enough to write a review that isn't completely filled with hate and expletives. I met with one person first who seemed to have an idea of everything I DID NOT want. When I met with the owner a couple weeks before the wedding I went over my concerns and gave pictures of what I DID want. I left almost in tears because she basically told me "oh well. that's what you originally said so that's what we're going with". My maid of honor called them and emailed them what I wanted. She was told it would be taken care of and I would have an email follow up. That never happened. Never got a confirmation any time after I paid nearly $1000.00. Sure enough the day of the wedding, I arrive at the venue. The flowers were already delivered. Every single arrangement was exactly the list of MUST NOT HAVE. It was awful. Couldn't be fixed since that was 2 hours before my wedding. I wanted to scream and cry. I wanted to throw every single persons flowers in the trash and have them go without since that would've looked better and made me hate this florist a little less. I will NEVER recommend this florist to anyone unless it's a funeral because the dead can't be disappointed. Thank you so much for ruining part of the biggest day of my life. I will never be able to get that day back and I will never get over how awful you made me feel for simply wanting my flowers for my wedding the way I wanted them. Thank you for making me waste $1k on absolute trash when it could've gone towards something I'd actually have enjoyed and appreciated. So again, thank you for ruining my wedding. I'm sure one bad review won't ruin you, but people should at least know not all of your customers are happy and some are downright angry with how you treated them and took money for a product they hated. Had I had the time I would've had someone return the disgusting arrangements you passed off and asked for a refund. I wish I'd never gone with this business in the first place.

I am so glad Katydid florist was recommended to us! There bouquets, centerpieces and boutineers were gorgeous! They took the vision I had for my flowers and had them come out exactly how I pictured they would! They were so easy to work with and provided us with an amazing experience. They were on time the day of the wedding and even waited to pin the boutineer on my Dad, since he was running late. They will not disappoint! My bouquets was absolutely perfect

The flowers for my wedding were gorgeous! I felt so overwhelmed with choices - but I saw a picture of a bouquet that was PERFECT and I knew I had found my florist. They were professional, talented and personable. The centerpieces were gorgeous, everything arrived on time, in great condition, etc.

These two ladies are amazing! The floral arrangements created at this shop are original and unique. They have been the florist for both of our children's weddings and for various other arrangements that we have sent as well. Katydid is affordable and professional. They are easy to work with and will walk you through the wedding planning process with their suggestions and ideas. Fun gift shop for gifts and cards too!

Katydid provided the flowers for my wedding on 9/23/16 and by doing so, truly helped transform the vision I had into a reality. The work they do at Katydid is really something else! I worked with Kim who was very helpful, professional, and responsive. If it wasn't for Kim's preparation we wouldn't have noticed until wedding day that we were 7 centerpieces short, as the guest list and number of tables apparently grew over time! Thank goodness for Kim, as she went to the venue the day before and realized the dilemma. Despite the fact that the flowers for the centerpieces had to be preordered and there was not enough time to order flowers for 7 more centerpieces needed the next day, Kim whipped up some crazy magic and made it work! All of the centerpieces and all of the flowers looked amazing! Katydid also made hair pieces for myself and my bridesmaids, which also were stunning. My mother-in-law has always gone to Katydid for her flower needs and I can absolutely see why. Katydid gets an A+ from this happy bride! :)

Cannot say enough great things about this place. VERY accommodating, worked with my budget, not pushy and made the process so easy. My flowers were absolutely beautiful, better than i imagined! Kim even met our men at the church to pin them and make sure everything went smoothly. This is one vendor i feel very great about when writing and sending my thank you cards out :) I will be coming here for any flower needs in the future. I would recommend them to everyone!

I chose Katydid Flowers for my wedding on 8//6/16 and I could not have been a happier bride! Everything was delivered on time and the flowers were absolutely stunning. I got so many compliments on my beautiful bouquet and the centerpieces were beyond what I was looking for. Working with Kim was an absolute pleasure. Though our wedding was in MA, my husband and I do not live locally. Kim and Katy were so easy to work with and were able to meet with me whenever I was in town, or with my mother if I was not. They made the whole process so easy, and were able to offer their expertise when it came to what flowers would work best in bouquets, for table arrangements, for the ceremony space, and for the cake. They worked with our budget, and I was completely confident that on the day of the wedding all of the flowers would look beautiful and fresh, and they were! Our colors were blue, white and green, and every flower was the exact shade we had discussed. My mother took home one of the table arrangements after the wedding, and when my husband and I returned from out honeymoon the flowers were still sitting on her kitchen table looking fantastic. I highly recommend Katydid flowers for any event!

I can't say enough about them ! They were amazing to work with - and made our day just perfect . From our very first meeting with them they made the whole process so simple. I went in to there beautiful shop with no idea of what I wanted , Kim came up with the most stunning arrangements I have ever seen.

Finding the perfect vendors for your wedding day can be so overwhelming, but the minute we met with Kim at Katydid Flowers we knew we had our florist! At our first meeting we talked about color schemes and looked at some of their previous work, then we showed her the many pictures we had pulled off Pintrest for ideas. Kim was so honest in letting us know what flowers would last throughout the day and which ones to avoid. If we showed her expensive flowers she'd let us know and suggest something just as pretty so we could make budget conscious decisions. Once we had gone through all our floral needs she quickly sent us a quote and we had our starting point! Lol! Since we had booked her months in advance that left a lot of time to change my mind, and I did many times! But each time Kim just made the changes and smiled, she was so easy with that!! A couple weeks before our big day she even made a sample centerpiece for us to see and take home free of charge! It was beautiful! The day of Kim delivered the ladies flowers to us, they were absolutely stunning!! Then she went to see the men to personally pin each boutonniere on for them. We decided to do a first look and when my limo pulled into the park I saw Kim standing with the men, she had waited all that time just to see me dressed and to congratulate us! What other florist would do that?? Kim definitely goes above and beyond, besides creating the most gorgeous floral arrangements she is dedicated, and so focused on making her part in your day exceptional! That's exactly what she did for us! All her extra touches were just a bonus! She even went back the next day to pick up the huge urns we used for our ceremony so that we didn't have to worry about it. Throughout the night our guests commented on how beautiful the centerpieces were and how thoughtful our memorial flowers were presented. Everything was just perfect! Every interaction I had with this florist was great. They were extremely helpful when I was unsure of what I wanted. I knew what colors I wanted, just not what flowers to go with. They even allowed my young daughter to take part in the decision making. They helped make her feel like it was her day as well! And since it was, I am extremely grateful they did that for her. They helped me figure in things that I hadn't even thought of and did it all within my budget! She stayed with us until I walked down the aisle. Her words of encouragement were the last things I heard before taking a deep breath and walking to my groom.

These poor ladies for having to deal with my craziness , and they were wonderful through it all ! I must have changed my mind a million and one times and they were so supportive and were able to help me problem solve and gave their expert opinions ! Everything was perfect on our wedding day , the flowers and arrangements were absolutely gorgeous and it was so personal Kim saw this through from start to finish ! She was even there setting up at our venue on wedding day ! Absolutely amazing !! Thank you ! Thank you !

Katydid is our family's florist... that's right I said it! ;) I loved what Katydid did for my wedding at Harrington Farms. They took care of the bridal party flowers, table arrangements, outdoor ceremony area, and fireplace. They also worked alongside my cake vendor (Specialty Wedding Cakes of Mendon - Heather LaPlante) and made the whole wedding look STUNNING. There is a lot of attention to detail with the flowers from the cut, folds (leaves), color, and sparkles! I HIGHLY recommend them!
