t until after my wedding day, Elise, Kelly, Kim, and Alessandra made my experience truly amazing. The shop is so comfortable and designed to be an intimate experience with your closest family/friends to cheer you on. I was so nervous for all the dresses and was not sure how I was going to find ‘the one’, but Elise started out with a strategy of picking my favorites and adding some for fun. She made me feel at ease by reassuring me to take my time, breath, and be honest. I may have ended up trying on around 8-10 dresses, and the one I had picked ‘for fun’ ended up being the one I said ‘yes’ too! Once we had found ‘the one’, Elise let me try it on another 2-3 times after just to feel super confident in my decision, and I didn’t want to take it off! An extra special shout to Elise who swiftly texted Kim when she was at a Trunk Sale event during my appointment and asked her if she had the BRIDE sugar skull denim jacket, I saw from their fall items and saved me the LAST one.
The ordering process was seamless, my wedding date was 12/6/25 and I purchased my dress 1/18/25. Kim emailed me at the end of June that my dress arrived, but had a large pull in the lace and had the dress replaced and rush ordered for me. She is committed to making sure her brides have a perfect gown! It arrived 8/19/25 and we began the fitting an alterations process shortly thereafter. Booking alterations through their in-house Seamstress Alessandra, was so easy and smooth. Due to the amount of lace and style of my dress, I definitely wanted to make sure my dress was handled with care are by someone who knew the dresses/designers from the shop! Alessandra took extra care with my dress by adding silicon under the straps since she immediately saw the straps were making my skin red and itchy as well as created 7 beautiful scrunchies for myself and my bridal party out of the materials of my dress. At my last alteration, Kim reassured me that if ANYTHING wasn’t right or anything happened to it prior to my wedding day, to come back or let her know and she would fix it. That small statement made such an impact because you feel like, well if I leave here this is it or I would never tell them xyz happened after I left! But she really means it. Luckily, that was not needed, and my dress fit perfectly for my wedding day. It was so easy to move, dance in, and was stunning.
An extra special shout to Kelly, who I hung out with during most of my alterations appointments who was my personal hype woman. She made those appointments so fun, helped me decide on things I had no idea about for alterations, like the bustle and little touches, and reached out after my wedding to see photos.

The shop is really cute and for both of my appointments I was the only one being helped, but the two dressing rooms are separate from each other so I feel like if someone else was trying on dresses it would not have been a problem. sly love what they do. There is absolutely no pressure put on you to make a decision or a purchase or use their additional services. The try on areas are spacious but also feel private. It was clear that my happiness and me feeling my absolute best on the big day was their priority (not business). Their seamstress is PHENOMENAL and also did a special project of turning my grandmother's gown into heirlooms to be cherished.
When you go in to try on dresses (free appointments), you have a dedicated stylist and are welcomed to bring friends and family with you. My mom had to attend on Facetime and they helped her to feel a part of it as well. The stylist has you start looking through their impressive options and pulling anything that you think you might want to try. After we pulled somewhere between 15-20 dresses, she took me to the dressing room and walked me through the options that I'd pulled. She asked me to choose which one I wanted to try first. I loved it! But it wasn't perfect. With each dress, we talked about what I liked and what didn't feel quite right. They guided me through looking at different angles, even having me walk with a fake bouquet. As I was in my 3rd dress, I saw the stylist out of the corner of my eye go to a rack pull out a dress. She showed it to me in the dressing room, I tried it, and it was THE ONE. It was *exactly* what I had envisioned in a dream the night before my appointment. I loved this experience of feeling heard and trusting that their expertise guided me. A perfect combination of knowing that YOU know what you like and THEY have decades of experience in this industry.
I had a separate appointment to choose my veil and jewelry (again, no pressure but beautiful options and guidance).
Alessandra, their seamstress, is not only the sweetest person, but also does beautiful work. She is attentive to the bride and to detail. A KJB stylist is with her for appointments as well, making me feel completely taken care of. The same stylist was with me through the entire alteration process - a nice, consistent, thorough touch.
I wouldn't change a single thing about my experience with KJB.

ying that I might get pressured. This was far from true at Kimberly James. I felt so supported and when I wasn’t ready to commit, and they were incredibly helpful in getting me set up with an appointment to come back and solidify my decision after having more time to think about it.
Other things that make them stand out: They try to get designers that aren’t in every store so you can truly find a one of a kind dress and their cozy showroom is set up in a way that makes you feel so beautiful in every gown you try on! This is also the only store that helped me try on multiple veils to see what kind of veil I liked which was really helpful to see it all together! It was also the perfect blend of getting to browse through the gowns but also have additional things pulled based on what I was liking / not liking.
I went to 4 different bridal stores and no experience compared to my experience with Kimberly James. Every staff member I interacted with here was incredibly kind and supportive throughout the entire process. I can’t recommend enough!

They only showed me a few dresses that could arrive in time, leaving me with limited options. I’m incredibly picky when it comes to clothes, and it felt like my “dream dress” was out of reach—I was almost ready to settle.
Then, I found Kimberly James, and it completely changed everything. From the moment I walked in, their team was wonderful. They dedicated the entire store to my appointment, and the associate took the time to show me every dress, one by one. I finally felt heard and unrushed!
