We had several guests with specific food restrictions, and they were all handled with care. Pro tip for future couples who need a vegetarian option: the Eggplant Rollantini is SO SO GOOD! - Day of Coordinator: We didn’t hire an outside coordinator, and we didn’t need one! Rebecca was our day of coordinator through the venue, and she could not have been more wonderful! She was super responsive, incredibly kind, and SO organized! The day was a breeze thanks to her and Dee (our bridal attendant) - We took advantage of the Bourbon/Scotch tasting in the wine cellar, and it was a BIG hit! It felt like we got this venue at a steal. Wedding’s are obviously expensive, but Knowlton really made the day feel so elegant, beautiful, and truly magical.

We selected the bronze tier (the cheapest package) and felt like we were throwing a much more expensive wedding - the bronze tier still comes with an amazing amount of passed plates at cocktail hour as well as a huge vegetable/cheese station and delicious food. (We did not do a taste testing beforehand, and were delighted by how yummy everything was.) We were able to have specialty cocktails. And Knowlton still provided us with special touches like champagne for all of the bridal party, and hot cider for our guests before our ceremony. The staff did a beautiful job setting up everything on our tables, as well as adding a few more decorative touches on the cake tables that we didn’t have much to decorate for. We saved our money and did not use flowers! But instead fall wreaths for our table centers and it looked amazing in the space - I’m sure most things would! The staff was extremely friendly, our bridal attendant tracked us down multiple times to make sure we were eating the food/getting us drinks. Our day-of-coordinator helped me with a late bus even though it was outside of her purview. Eileen never tired of answering our questions even though I imagine she’s heard all of them 1000s of times before! Everyone was kind, flexible, and helpful. There are so many unique nooks and crannies to take photos in, as well as beautiful outdoor space as well. It was our photographer’s first time at the mansion and she was delighted. We chose to have our ceremony in their newer indoor ceremony option - The Carriage House, and it is cozy, atmospheric, and intimate. After the reception, we had a little built-in after party where guests made s’mores around the fire place. I know a few guests took peaceful strolls around the grounds during the dancing. The space is expansive and accommodating of multiple “vibes.” We had our guests stay in center city Philadelphia and used school buses to bring them up. I drove up with my parents and it was so much fun to have people “ooh” and “ahhh” when we turned in to see the mansion for the first time. There’s a reason this place has so many 5-stars!!!!!! I could not recommend getting married here more.

s leading up to our wedding, we were able to reach out to our coordinator, Eileen, at any time to answer all our questions. We were able to visit whenever we needed for planning purposes. Eileen was amazing to work with! In the week leading up to our wedding, we worked with our day-of coordinator, Dani, and she was absolutely wonderful! She had a calming presence that was able to meet all our needs and answer all our last minute questions. She was so helpful and attentive throughout the whole evening. Additionally, all the ladies got ready at the venue the morning of the wedding. All the staff were very accommodating while we did hair and makeup. All of our vendors were welcomed and everything ran so smoothly. Lastly and most importantly, our families and guests loved the venue! They loved the outdoor ceremony space, exploring the mansion, and hanging out in the sunroom of the reception area for cocktail hour. Our wedding date was extremely hot outside, and we cannot thank the staff enough for being so accommodating to our guests while they waited for the ceremony to start. They made sure they had water and could wait inside if they needed. The food was also amazing and our guests had so many compliments on our station-styled menu. The Conroy Catering team went above and beyond on our day to make sure that everything ran smoothly, that guests were taken care of, and that we were having the best day!

Rebecca took good care of us, and made sure we ate and drank, etc. One major plus for us was that the ballroom's acoustics are good but don't make music defeaningly loud like many other venues I've been to. The one issue we had was that our day was rainy. The indoor ceremony space is pretty, but small for the crowd we had, which was within the capacity limits of the ballroom. It also has no air conditioning and therefore was very warm on our date in late summer. Otherwise, working with Knowlton from early planning through the wedding itself was easy and pleasant, and our guests told us they had a good time!

For couples who are in the process of finding a wedding venue in the Philly area - you MUST visit Knowlton! We only have great things to say about our experience with Knowlton. Our journey started in 2019 - we were looking for a venue that would host both our wedding ceremony and reception with an outdoor option, and Knowlton was it. Since it's also owned by a catering company, the food is outstanding. To top it off, Knowlton offered the best rates and flexibility as to our event hours. We don't live locally and felt confident enough to book Knowlton without even visiting first! Over the past three years, we navigated two postponements due to the pandemic. Each time, the Knowlton team was incredibly understanding and willing to move our date. At a time when vendors were having a hard time themselves, the team's graciousness and generosity quite literally kept our wedding dream alive. When our day arrived, it was even better than we envisioned. Chris, the day-of coordinator, and her team did a perfect job. Our ceremony and reception, including a delicious sit-down dinner, went without a hitch. There were so many moments of kindness and support - as the bride and groom we felt taken care of the entire time. Our guests raved about our wedding, our venue, and the catering, and we have Knowlton to thank for that. All the praise to the Knowlton team!

Everyone raved about the food. The venue was gorgeous. Pricing was pretty good relative to other venues. The grounds are GORGEOUS in the spring/summer. I have zero complaints about the venue.

From keeping us on schedule, to making sure everyone had what they needed, we felt like we were in great hands. The private tasting was a very helpful option that not every venue offers. The food here is second to none, a month later and our family and friends are still talking about how much they enjoyed it. Anyone who books Knowlton Mansion will not be disappointed, I highly recommend checking it out in person.

Not only was Cara and the booking staff extraordinarily helpful, they were also incredibly sympathetic for us and everything we had gone through with our original venue. They showed true compassion to us for once! Cara ensured all booking information was sent to us quickly, and we were there touring within 24 hours. As soon as we got there, I felt like this tremendous weight had been lifted off of my chest. The venue is absolutely stunning, and they were beyond accommodating with us! We were treated like we mattered and like our wedding day was important, which was the exact opposite of how we felt prior at the original venue. With so little time to go until our big day, the entire Knowlton team was incredible in assisting us to get everything organized, booked, and put together. We had a tasting so quickly so that we could FINALLY send out our invitations (which had been previously printed with the original venue, but not sent yet thank goodness). The food was BEYOND delicious! So much more upscale and exciting than the typical "wedding food" menu. They even helped create a custom deviled egg and a shrimp po boy slider for cocktail hour for us! The short rib was seriously to die for, both at the tasting and the wedding itself. So tender and flavorful! But seriously, you cannot go wrong with a single menu offering! Everything was phenomenal. In the last weeks leading up to the day, Eileen took the reins and she was just as amazing as the rest of the staff. I felt completely stress free when it came to anything venue related, and 10000% confident that we were in good hands. We absolutely were! The day of our wedding was perfection! We had gorgeous October weather, a team that took care of our every needs, and absolutely everything turned out exactly how I had hoped! Our guests raved about our menu options (I heard cocktail hour was incredible!), and everyone had time to eat and enjoy before dancing the night away in the gorgeous reception area. We also had the wine cellar service during cocktail hour, which was such a treat for us and our guests! This wedding day was 3 years coming because of the pandemic, so to have everything go so incredibly smoothly at a place that truly cared about us meant the world! I cannot speak highly enough about Cara, Eileen, and the entire staff over at Knowlton! I will forever recommend this gorgeous venue to any and every bride/groom to be!

With the addition of the carriage house, the rain had no dampening on our day and we were able to get married in their beautiful new addition. We chose Knowlton before the Pandemic and with all the uncertainty in this world we were able to have our wedding this past November and it was everything we dreamed. The entire team there was helpful and helped us manage and kept us up to date throughout the entire two years we had our wedding planned. The food was incredible and the entire atmosphere of the venue was what we were looking for. The team even helped us out and worked with us when something we had requested got mixed up. If you're looking for a unique and romantic place to get married with wonderful service look no further!

On the day of the wedding, every staff member was attentive to our bridal party needs and helped set up our decor to take stress off our friends/family. Even the owner, Jack Conroy, checked in with us to make sure we got everything we needed for our big day. Every one of our guests loved the options for butlered hors d’oeuvres, entrees, and dessert bar! The food quality and taste was stellar and dare I say the best I’ve ever had at a wedding. The new tents outside are retrofitted with gorgeous chandeliers and heaters for your guests, and the fireplace/patio area was a huge hit for s’mores! If you’re looking for a venue in Philadelphia where everything is included in the package (esp for a large wedding like ours with 200+ people), you definitely need to choose Knowlton Mansion!

h of our requests was met without hesitation, making our wedding day perfect. We booked our date so far in advance, and Knowlton/Conroy Catering made sure we weren't surprised by any increased prices or charges as time went on. When we looked at venues, something we knew we needed was some sort of replacement for the wedding cake typically included in venue packages (we have a baker in the family). Knowlton allowed us to switch out the cake for an espresso/cappuccino station (which was something my now husband wanted at the wedding very much). Knowlton/Conroy Catering also made sure that specific favorite beers were available for my father and my husband's father. Corresponding with Cara early on, and then Eileen as our event got closer, was so easy and stress free. We chose the Gold Stations package... and the food was BEYOND INCREDIBLE. My husband and I are both pescatarian, along with some of our family. We also have close friends that are celiac/gluten free. We not only had an abundance of different options for every dietary need, but every station was noted with what was gluten free. We also chose to have the wine cellar open, but wanted to have port wine instead. Knowlton/Conroy Catering had no qualms about bringing in lovely ports for our tasting! Chris and Dee were so fantastic to work with. Chris was quick to respond and available whenever I needed her leading up to our wedding day. Day of, every single thing was taken care of, beyond my wildest expectations. My husband and I were never without a cocktail or a plate. At the end of the night, as I tried to help clean up and load the cars, it was wonderful to be told to go spend the last little bit of time with our remaining guests. Even after our event, I was blown away... the following evening, as we began organizing our belongings from the wedding, we couldn't find my veil (which was made by my late grandmother and then aunt, constructed from my aunt's veil, and pieces from my grandmother's wedding gown and mother's wedding gown). In full panic, I began to believe it was accidentally thrown away or left behind. I texted Chris , knowing full well that she was probably mid-wedding for Knowlton's next bride, expecting to hear from her the next day. To my surprise, she responded right away saying she would start looking. (We did find it). All in all, there's truly not a bad thing to say about Knowlton Mansion and Conroy Catering!!

The venue is absolutely GORGEOUS. If you’re looking for a venue that will provide your photographer with countless unique photo ops, this is your place. Our photographer could not get enough! She kept saying how much she loved the venue and its uniqueness. The food is outstanding! There are so many options to choose from… (make sure to get the chicken and waffles app!) Due to covid, they added an additional tent outdoors, which actually made for a beautiful cocktail hour outside. Everybody, from the billing to the wedding planner, to the day-of-staff was top-notch. When we arrived for our reception, all of our decorations and tables were set up, just as we had imagined! It was the perfect day, and we would do it all over again.

She was on top of it and so NICE. We have heard nothing but good reviews from our guests about to food, the venue itself, the size and space for a wedding during Covid. Knowlton stepped in with a number of different options that fell under city and CDC guidelines. They worked with us to make a lot of changes and we were able to have the micro-wedding of my dreams. Their new patio is awesome for an outdoor dance floor and the grounds are so beautiful for an outdoor ceremony. The food was incredible and our guests were obsessed with the venue and how original it is. The staff was so amazing with all the changes and really made sure the event was perfect for us. It was a perfect day!

me IN EVERY WAY that they were here to help. In the end we had the most amazing wedding EVER!! Since the day after the wedding, my phone has been blowing up telling me it was THE BEST FOOD they ever had at a wedding, how beautiful the mansion and grounds are and how wonderful the staff was. The tent they added was perfect to keep us and our family and friends was perfect so we could socially distance us from each other yet still be able to be all together to celebrate. They also had a sanitation captain that went around and cleaned surfaces throughout the party which made us feel so safe. And I have to get back to the food... OMG!!!! The butlered hors d'oeuves were soooo good! We picked the short ribs for our entree which was the best piece of meat I have ever had in my life and my husband is a crab cake aficionado and he said it was the best crab cake he ever had and as I said above, our guest all agreed- BEST FOOD EVER!!!! And I can't forget about the cake... WOW!!! We picked chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and lemon pound with lemon curd and it was fantastic along with the other dessests!!! I can't thank Conroy Catering and their staff for making my dream wedding come true and making it perfect in every way!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!

The decor was very welcoming, with the tables neatly set with candles, greens and crisp white linens. Simple elegance . The glow of the fire pit was visible through the dining room windows enticing everyone to come outside for a visit. We had preordered the Chicken Francaise as the meal and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. Eileen and her staff (Danielle, Kelly and Suzi) promptly saw to all of our needs - from drinks to desserts.
