It was clear to us that Al goes above and beyond as soon as we inquired with him! From the beginning he shares a ton of information, music planning PDF guides, attentive communication, and when the wedding week comes around he is absolutely on top of all music selections, names, order of events, etc. All music from the ceremony to cocktail hour, intros, dances, and late night energy was flawless. Al is a consummate professional and we couldn’t recommend him more!

Al was fantastic and really knows what he's doing! He had everything covered from our ceremony, to my father's last minute speech/performance that required music, to keeping the dance floor going all night long. Al was phenomenal for our August 2024 wedding! He provided music and emcee services for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and was so personable, enthusiastic and kept the party going all evening! We even had some special international song requests and they were executed flawlessly. During the planning process, he was very proactive and responsive in his communications and provides a great questionnaire that gets you thinking about all aspects of music for your wedding (things we didn’t even think about) as well as suggestions for anything you may need help with. We hired Al last minuet for our 30 person wedding ceremony. Pre-wedding interview was very informative & covered a lot of details that we didn’t even know to go over! Day off he was exceptionally cool & just had his part handled. He even made our GodSmack song fit in our ceremony perfectly. Music playing was executed perfectly, and all he needed was the song choice & cues from the script to nail it. He set up perfectly so none of the equipment was in the photographers view & Overall just did a perfect job & eased so much stress for us. Thank you!!!

We were absolutely thrilled with Al & Lakeside DJs as our wedding DJ at the Homestead. From start to finish, he was a consummate professional who understood exactly what we wanted and delivered it with style. One of the things that impressed us most about Al was his ability to strike the perfect balance between keeping the party going and respecting our guests' desire for conversation. When people weren't on the dancefloor, he didn't try to force the issue or make anyone feel uncomfortable. Al was great from throughout the whole wedding planning process. He reached multiple tomes to make sure that we had everything set for our big day. He was also very professional and easy to talk to. On the wedding day, he did a great job of keeping things on schedule. He also picked music that fit our personalities and kept the wedding fun. We lucked out by having Lakeside DJs help us with our wedding day. Our DJ, Chris, made the whole process seamless from the initial meeting through the end of our wedding day. They worked with us through a personal request in the ceremony and then Chris absolutely nailed the music!! Especially in the shorter timespan we had for dancing due to noise constraints. Too many of our guest came up to us to tell us it was the most fun they have had at a wedding and a few people even asked me afterword for our DJ contact! Hiring Al was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. He not only helped us with the timeline of the day but took our ideas and made them come to life. He dressed the part and was very accommodating. There was a slight unexpected pause in our ceremony and Al was quick to fill the silent with music. Al did a wonderful job for our wedding on 10/6/23 at The Homestead! He even came the day before to set up for the ceremony since I had young student instrumentalists performing that needed amplification. He was super easy to work with and played a great mix of songs at the reception, including many or all of our song requests. He was very professional and efficient and I would highly recommend him!

Al is fantastic! We felt that the music was very personalized to our group. The dancing was going all night, even with a small crowd. Al played a great combination of music that kept the party going. The price was very reasonable and he did a great job communication leading up to the wedding, including a conference call to go over the details the week of the wedding.

Lakeside DJ's (DJ Al) was fantastic to work with! He made the planning process a breeze. He has tons of recommendations for what kind of music to play during different parts of the day. He also did the sound for our ceremony and it was easy for everyone to hear and we didn't have a microphone in our faces! We had a scheduled call with him a week before our wedding to make sure we were on the same page, and he was prepared for the call and had all of our information pulled up and reviewed. Al was able to help keep the day on schedule by transitioning the music when it was time to switch from the cocktail hour to dinner and so on. He also kept the dance floor packed the whole time and played music for the appropriate crowd at the wedding! I would recommend Lakeside DJ's (DJ Al) to any person planning a wedding!!

Al from Lakeside DJs was amazing to work with! You can tell its a great wedding when the dance floor is PACKED, we didn't want the party to end! Al with Lakeside DJ was amazing! The entire process was seamless and great. We met with Al the week of our wedding to chat about details, must plays, do not plays, etc. and he made us feel so comfortable. Al was on his game all night when it came to announcing reminders, the bridal party and, of course, the music. Our dance floor was full the ENTIRE evening and everybody complemented how great Al did. Chris did a wonderful job keeping people on the dance floor. However, i give 4 stars because he did not deliver on a few aspects. He didn’t announce the cake cutting which might have just been a miscommunication but we were waiting for him to announce it and that caused confusion because he thought we already did it. He also just didn’t make two of the announcements that we asked him to make. We also wanted to play a song for my cousins because it was their anniversary and he either didn’t say anything or didn’t even play it at all, so they didn’t get to have that moment. Overall though, still 4 stars because people were dancing all night like crazy and the ceremony went perfectly!

Al was amazing. He made things stress free from day one and kept that going. Throughout the reception, he helped us move through each moment in a fun way. He also accommodated a few heartfelt requests to remember family members who couldn’t be with us at our wedding. That meant a lot, because he did it with such care. Al brought the experience we were looking for, but also made sure the day felt very much like us. He was flexible, fun, and kept the dance floor busy all night. Lakeside DJs is THE choice for a DJ.

Just do yourself a favor and hire Lakeside DJs as your DJ. Al was not only professional but incredibly easy to work with. Once we shared what we were wanting he took the reins from there and made our wishes come true. All of my guests commented what a great range of music was played during our wedding - and we couldn't agree more!

DJ Al (Lakeside DJs) is very professional, easy to work with, affordably priced, and was awesome at our wedding event. They listened to the bride and groom's music preferences, and always kept them (the bride & groom) as first priority. I would absolutely choose them again.

We hired Al from Lakeside DJs, and he did a wonderful job. We had our wedding at the Homestead and needed 3 separate setups for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We didn’t have a lot of direction for what we wanted played other than the main songs, and he did a wonderful job keeping people up and dancing.

Al killed it at our wedding!! Everyone was on the dance floor most of the night, announcements were done professionally, flow and schedule was tight, and he even impromptu got my wife to do an Irish dance when the crowd was asking for it. If you want a DJ that keeps the party going, Al and Lakeside DJs are your best bet!

If you book someone other than Lakeside DJ's, you're missing out! I can't believe how organized, professional and talented Al Uryga was throughout our 2 year engagement (#COVID couple). He was so wonderful and was able to accommodate us even when we had to postpone. His communication was consistent throughout. On the day of he was extremely professional. He helped us identify what songs would make our day as special as possible and he did NOT disappoint. Thank you Al and Lakeside DJ's for making our day so special!

Music was VERY important for our wedding. We wanted people dancing as much as absolutely possible, and DJ Al made sure that happened! He was an integral part of our entire wedding. We had a non-traditional wedding that started with a cocktail hour. We had plenty of requests in terms of the music played - not your typical cocktail hour music, and he came through. We gave him a short list of music we would like played and he filled in the gaps nicely. He also provided the acoustics for our ceremony, which went off without a hitch. Of course, he was our reception DJ, again non-traditional. He worked with us to accommodate all of our requests. When it came time for dancing he played all of the music we wanted to hear, and none of the music we didn't want to hear! Needless to say, the dance floor was moving the entire night. DJ Al made the entire process as easy as it could be. He gave us a few sheets to fill out with our wants/dislikes and we walked through everything the week before the wedding. We could not have asked for a better wedding DJ (and many people told us the music was top notch). Thank you to DJ Al and Lakeside DJs for making the already stressful planning just a little bit less stressful, and for bringing down the house.

Al was great from the moment we booked with him! He was extremely thorough, thoughtful, and professional. Al set up a phone consult with us the week before our wedding and made sure he knew all important aspects to our day -- better yet, he made sure they all happened as planned on our wedding day and ON TIME. Everyone had a great time dancing thanks to his expertise in song choices.. There was never an empty spot on the dance floor and that says A LOT to how great of a DJ he is. We cannot recommend Al enough! If we could plan our wedding all over again, we would still choose Al.

DJ Al was THE BEST!! From the very beginning, he was friendly, personable, and organized. He made everything SO easy, especially with his ceremony and reception planning document. I knew exactly what he needed from us so he could do his thing. He did our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. All of them were in different locations, and the ceremony was outside. His equipment worked perfectly and the transitions from each spot were seamless. Our guests absolutely loved him—they couldn’t stop gushing about him when my husband and I were chatting with them at the reception. He played all different kinds of music to appeal to everyone and made sure the dance floor always had people on it! He strictly followed our “must play” and “do not play list” and made sure everything was done tastefully. I also have to add that he has the most beautifully smooth radio voice ever! Al was amazing! Our dance floor was never empty. And he helped with our live music ceremony sound! He was my little cousins favorite person for playing the Elmo’s world song. He catered the music to fit us to a T!

Al was an AMAZING DJ! You won’t regret hiring him for your wedding. He was approachable and helpful with planning details prior to the wedding. He always answered my phone calls and emails promptly. Al truthfully was the reason that our event stayed on track and ran smoothly. I never realized how much a DJ did besides just play music but I let Al know what I wanted (bouquet and garter toss, cake cut after dinner, etc) and like most brides I wasn’t exactly sure how the timeline would play out but Al assured me he would take care of it and that was exactly what he did. He made sure the event flowed naturally and would make suggestions such as “now would be a good time to greet guests at their tables and following that we can announce cake cutting” and it was so helpful. People were dancing all night long with a good mix of different kinds of music. Would highly recommend Lakeside DJs.

Lakeside DJs came through for our wedding on 9/25. Our original DJ cancelled last minute back in February and Al was able to set us up with a new amazing one. Even through a few crazy hiccups because of COVID, I couldn’t have been happier with our DJ choice. Our dance floor was honestly full ALL night. Highly recommend.

From the beginning everything with Lakeside DJs was wonderful and professional. They were responsive to emails and questions and reliable. Chris, the DJ, couldn’t have worked harder the day of our wedding to make sure the ceremony and wedding went smoothly. He had to go the extra mile to make sure our friends who couldn’t be there were able to be heard through the mic system and cue up the prayer and the best man speech. He communicated with me throughout the reception to make sure we were ready for cake cutting, dances and toasts and had to go around communicating to all of the other vendors when things changed. Like I said, he was working so hard. Then when it came time for music we had a blast. He played a variety of music and made sure all of our requests were played. It couldn’t have gone any better. I highly recommend LakeSide DJs and ask for Christopher Graham to be your DJ!

We had DJ Al for our wedding and we could not have asked for a better one. We spoke with him only a few times but he picked up on our musical tastes and truly listened to what we wanted. My husband referenced a song during his vows that we later danced to and Al gave the song a special introduction and referenced my husband's vows. It made for a special moment. His equipment sounded great. I was especially surprised at how great his microphone picked up my voice since I have trouble projecting. He even helped set up our niece who played a special song during the ceremony. I very highly recommend using Lakeside DJs for your wedding. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent DJ! Wonderful person, great to have as a host for our wedding day. He was able to make the day very special for us. Great music selection. Knows how to keep the party going. Kept the timeline for the day on track. He took care of all the little details that you don't want to be stressing about. All the AV was set up and ready to go. He helped us pick out ceremony songs and even provided multiple versions of the instrumentals we were interested in for us to choose from. Highly highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

DJ Al was incredible!! Our guests loved the song choices and were dancing for the entire night. When they turned the lights on to end the night there were resounding boo’s to keep the party going. Overall incredibly positive, easy and memorable experience.

Chris was such a great DJ. He helped us coordinate playing a video we made of family members who couldn’t travel here because of the virus restrictions which meant so much to us. Al is amazing!! The playlist he made/played for my wedding was incredible and so much fun! He’s also very professional, thorough, and easy to work with! He spent 45 minutes-1 hour on the phone with us a few days before the wedding to make sure everything was perfect! I had a surprise for my wife, which was playing her a song on her guitar and Al was so helpful and accommodating in making that happen! He told me when the perfect time to play the song was and he even created an enhanced version of the song to play! Overall we are so so happy that we went with Lakeside DJs to DJ our wedding!

After rescheduling our wedding 3 separate times due to COVID -- we were lucky enough to land Al as our DJ! From the start, he was super easy to communicate with and had great ideas for our wedding! We were able to explain the vibe we were going for and he was able to take those notes and read the crowd to create the perfect party! We especially loved how his creative expertise came into play -- suggesting we switch around some of our first dances so the parent dances came first and ours was last (we danced to Earth, Wind, and Fire -- September) so partway through we could invite everyone to the dance floor with us! It was so perfect since our dances with our parents were slower and since our wedding day was September 21st -- September was the perfect way to get everyone up and dancing! Al was great on the mic and did a great job -- we couldn't be happier about choosing Al as our wedding DJ!

Al was a great DJ! From the time we picked Lake Michigan DJ to the end of our wedding night, Al was there for us. He was quick to respond via email and phone and was easy to talk you. He has a great sense of how a wedding should flow and helped us make our timeline and keep us on track during the wedding night. Al spoke articulately and was easy to understand on the microphone. He also had a great selection of music and read the dance floor well. He knew when to pump up the jams and when to play a slow song. We had many compliments throughout the night about how awesome the DJ was! Thank you Al!

Al was fantastic! He was very professional and read the vibe in the room very well. The first group of people dancing were the kids, Al played some Disney music for them and they loved it! Once people began dancing, they entertained from start to finish. He played all of our required songs and even turned down requests that we had vetoed prior to the event. Four out of four thumbs! We would highly recommend.

Al was phenomenal. When booking with Al, he was down-to-earth, answered our questions promptly, and was a genuinely pleasant person to talk to. In our last days before our wedding, Al was flexible and accommodating and offered many suggestions (when we asked for them!) with regard to our timeline, song choices, etc. On the day of our wedding, Al blew us away. He dismissed our tables for our dinner (and he was not required to do this!) and he read our guests for the music choices. He kept the dance floor packed all night and we actually asked him to stay an extra hour because our guests were having such a great time. We received multiple compliments from guests of all ages throughout the night and days after our wedding on how great Al was. He went above and beyond any expectation that my husband and I had.. He was by far one of the best vendors that we booked for our wedding. Do yourself a favor and hire a professional like Al!

Al was super organized, professional, communicated expectations clearly, cared about our input, had a wonderful MC voice, and went the extra mile with special requests we had (asking people to sign our guest book, cuing me when to walk down the aisle, etc). I really appreciated the planners he provided to keep me focused, that he was one of a few vendors that followed through with everything he promised, and anticipated our needs! He collaborated well with other vendors and even sent a photo of the mic hook up to our videographer before the wedding day. Al was just an awesome person too who obviously played great music and kept the party going! I initially didn't think I needed a DJ, but looking back I can't imagine our wedding without this one! Hire Al of Lake Michigan DJ’s - you won’t be disappointed! My husband and I hired Lake Michigan DJ’s for our outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Al helped guide us through and explain (what the heck is the difference between a processional and recessional) the process. He’s is a great speaker and super personable - we had guests even comment on how great he was. As you’re planning a wedding - you know there are a million things to coordinate and decisions to make, and he allows his clients to be as hands-on or hands-off as they prefer (we personally took the more hands-off approach, picking out the songs we needed to [i.e: aisle music, reception entry music, first dance, must-play songs] and he did a fantastic job filling in the rest.) He coordinated with the venue and day-of coordinator, and it was a seamless, hands-off experience for us. We highly recommend Lake Michigan DJ’s - zero complaints - our dance floor was full the whole night.

Al was the absolute best for our wedding back in August. His communication during the planning process and execution on our wedding day was perfect. He can do more than just play some songs. When we had a special request for our ceremony song, a day later we had the song in three different speeds to listen to and decide on, and the parts we didn’t want were removed. It was done without hesitation and in quick time. Since our wedding, many of our family members and friends have made comments about what a fantastic DJ we had and how much fun the night was for everyone. So many members of our families danced that night that I would have never thought to get out of their chairs and Al was who made it all possible. Al Uryga was simply astounding. Planning everything with him was extremely easy and his advanced knowledge of music helped us decide what songs to pick. His help in manipulate songs to slow them down, stop, or start at certain parts perfectly fit our ceremony and reception. Lake Michigan DJ's was so professional all the way around, from his attire to his setup at the wedding - we couldn't have asked for a better experience! He was very approachable during the entire planning process which gave us peace of mind that we were in good hands. He coordinated with our venue to make sure the day of schedule matched his timing for specific event details such as first dances, dismissal for dinner, and our grand entrance. I cannot recommend Al highly enough. He is extremely professional and organized. Throughout the entire planning process he was very helpful (even with non-music questions, he was very willing to help and offer his advice.) He kept our wedding on schedule by making sure the cocktail hour ended on time and then helped organize the wedding party for the entrance, etc. Everyone loved the music and our parents especially appreciated the dinner music being kept to an appropriate volume so people could talk over dinner (we’ve been to other weddings where the music can get too loud during dinner.) Overall, we were so happy we chose to work with Al. He did our ceremony music and sound as well which was amazing (our wedding was outdoors on a windy day and everyone was able to hear us due to his sound equipment set up.) DJ Al is the BEST! We are so pleased we had the opportunity to work with him!
