I wasn’t exactly sure how the timeline would play out but Al assured me he would take care of it and that was exactly what he did. He made sure the event flowed naturally and would make suggestions such as “now would be a good time to greet guests at their tables and following that we can announce cake cutting” and it was so helpful. People were dancing all night long with a good mix of different kinds of music. Would highly recommend Lakeside DJs.

went smoothly. He had to go the extra mile to make sure our friends who couldn’t be there were able to be heard through the mic system and cue up the prayer and the best man speech. He communicated with me throughout the reception to make sure we were ready for cake cutting, dances and toasts and had to go around communicating to all of the other vendors when things changed. Like I said, he was working so hard. Then when it came time for music we had a blast. He played a variety of music and made sure all of our requests were played. It couldn’t have gone any better. I was especially surprised at how great his microphone picked up my voice since I have trouble projecting. He even helped set up our niece who played a special song during the ceremony. It's clear that Al loves what he does, and that's a huge part of what makes him so great at his job. Not to mention he's got a great voice, making him a natural emcee! Getting everyone dancing was one of the most important parts of the wedding for me and Al totally delivered. Many of our guests even commented on what a great DJ he was. For the ceremony he had tons of recommendations for music and ideas for our actual ceremony, and as a bride who had no wedding coordinator that was a huge help! For the reception Al did an awesome job keeping the evening flowing smoothly while providing some amazing music. My husband and I could not believe how many of our guests came up to us at the reception and stated how much they loved the DJ and the music he was playing. Al really took the time leading up to the ceremony to learn what kind of music we liked as a couple and had a nice well laid out wedding day planner for my husband and I to complete prior to our wedding day. This planner was such a help to me because it helped me realize all of the music that needed to be decided on in a neat and organized fashion. Al really took the guess work out of music for the ceremony, reception, and even cocktail hour! There were a few times Michael and I were unsure of what music to pick for a certain item, whenever we were unsure Al would always be available with some amazing suggestions! I would also really like to thank Al for how easy he was to contact and talk to. My husband and I both work during the day, and one of the most frustrating things for us during the wedding planning process was trying to coordinate time to talk and meet with our vendors. Al never required an in person meeting, was available whenever we needed over the phone, and was always quick to respond to my emails! In the months leading up to our big day Al did a great job keeping in touch with us and answering any anxious question I had regarding the ceremony. We also had a wedding party with some pretty difficult names to pronounce, Al was kind enough to really take the time to learn all of the names and honestly cared that he got them all right. Overall, Michael and I could not even begin to thank Al enough for all that he did. He was beyond professional, and without a doubt made our entire day the best day ever. Seriously we would without hesitation recommend him to anyone! And if we ever plan on throwing another event or renewing our vows there is no one else we would want there in charge of coordinating and music besides Al!

We really wanted to have our first dance on top of a ski hill at our cocktail reception and he made it happen! He so graciously brought up all his equipment for music for our cocktail reception, but also brought extra equipment for the location of our first dance. It was perfect! The entire process from meeting Al for the first time, to determining music for our wedding, to the big day was so easy and smooth. He really takes into account your personal interests in music as a couple, but also makes sure that your guests are enjoying the music as well. And did I mention that Al has the perfect voice for this!

Where his experience really shined, however, was his ability to set the mood we'd hoped for, which in our case was livening up the dance floor and having our guests get lost in the moment to have a great time. Equally important was his direction in making announcements to guide our guests so they knew what they should do and when. And just to be clear, Al was born for this job! If you can imagine a group of angels working to concoct the perfect DJ's voice, then you'd have Al's. It was really like having our own radio host for the night. All in all, Al proved himself as a great and highly professional DJ we'd highly recommend to anyone!
