My husband and I LOVE Laura! Hiring her is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. It was clear from the first call that she would get the job done well while also being so fun to be around and stress-free. We really valued how she added fun to our day with us and our bridal party and kept the day moving with us. Every interaction from engagement photos to the day of was so comfortable. We even threw a couple unique requests in for her to capture and she was up for the challenge! The pictures are amazing and you get so much from her packages. I am already trying to figure out what else we can hire her for in the future!!

Laura crushed it start to finish! She is so easy to work with (v v chill) and captured not only our favorite moments from our engagement session, but breathtaking photos from our wedding. We're so thankful we chose Laura to capture our big day!

Laura is awesome! We don't love being the center of attention and are definitely not the type of people who like posing for photos in public, but Laura made our wedding day and engagement sessions fun and easy, and most importantly the photos turned out great! We ran into some weather issues with our planned photo location on the day of our wedding, and Laura helped us pivot to alternative locations and the photos turned out great. We cannot recommend her and her team highly enough.

Laura was simply the BEST wedding photographer and I could not recommend her more!! She went out of her way to accommodate our wants and needs, particularly as we had to reschedule and plan a wedding during the pandemic. We had a really hot wedding day in August and Laura was quick to get pictures done with beautiful backdrops and get us out of the heat. Her photos captured our day perfectly- they were natural and elegant! Not only were her photos incredible- she was so fun and easy to work with! If you get a chance to have Laura shoot your wedding I would not pass it up!!

If you are thinking about hiring Laura, DO IT! She is truly one of the kindest people we worked with for our wedding. She captured our engagement photos and our small wedding in such a beautiful way. She also went above and beyond to make my photo adverse husband feel comfortable and even enjoy taking photos. Laura is truly one of a kind and anyone would be lucky to have her shoot their wedding!

I cannot say enough to convey how AMAZING Laura was! Right off the bat before we even met everything was just so easy with her - from setting up the introduction call, to her flexibility with our small wedding and what the photography would entail for that, to the transparency of her pricing, to engagement pictures, to the actual day of (and all of that is just from a logistics stand point). Personality wise she was the perfect fit and immediately made us incredibly comfortable during all of our pictures. Laura was really able to capture our relationship and personalities. While all of the photos were absolutely stunning, the most important piece is she was able to show how much we actually like each other in all of the pictures and that is something I'll treasure far more from our wedding album. We couldn't have asked a better photographer, and I'll always look back fondly at my wedding day and Laura had a huge hand in that. I can honestly say that pictures were my favorite part of the day because of how much fun I had with my husband during that time all thanks to Laura.

Laura takes amazing photos, she puts in the time to get great shots and her experience and talent can be seen in the photos. Everyone loved our wedding photos we just got back and can not stop talking about them! I would recommend her to anyone who wants gorgeous timeless photos !

We had a great time working with Laura for both our wedding and engagement photos! Her talent is evident, from the first communication to the delivery of our photos. Laura takes the time to get to know her couples, and strikes a good balance between candid and posed photos. The album truly tells the story of our day, showcases our love for each other, but also the love we felt from family and friends (we are huge family people!). We got the photos we needed/wanted, and the photos we didn't know we needed/wanted. Though this review is admittedly a bit late -- our wedding was in June 2019 -- the photos have only meant more to us as time goes by!

Laura Witherow is possibly the finest wedding photographer in Chicago! Not only is her work gorgeous but she's one of the kindest, nicest people you'll ever meet. She isn't all about the 'posed' shot either. She has this unique ability to fade into the background and capture some of the most amazing candid shots you'll ever see--making your wedding memories even more special. Laura was so great to work with. We did our engagement session and wedding photo's with her. Her photo's were stunning. She also did our photobooth, which she photographed herself and sent out a link with all the photos. We loved this option. Laura was an incredible photographer to work with for our wedding. From the moment we meet her we knew she would be amazing. Finding the right photographer for your wedding can be one of the hardest steps in planning; they have to get you (and your family😊), their pictures need to be amazing quality which speak to you and they need to be able to work with your budget. After many kind of “meh” meetings with photographers, we so relieved when we meet Laura and clicked with her immediately. She really listened to what WE wanted and also helped to guide us in creative ideas and places for both our Engagement and Wedding Photos. All of her responses were timely and professional. The second shot she brought for the wedding was great as well. When it came to the “Day of” she was early and incredibly helpful to keep everyone on schedule. She was also really great at dealing with big groups of people and getting everyone together for a shot. This came in incredibly helpful when we took extended family photos after the wedding and for our bridal party shots. Our photos turned out better than I could have ever hoped. She not only got beautiful shots of all the people who shared our wedding day with us, she got all of the little details too! The variety of photos we received really helped to encapsulate our day and tell our story. From the shots of the necklace I wore from my godfather, to us exchanging vows, to everyone celebrating with us on the dance floor, nothing was missed. Not only were the photos beautiful but we also received them in a timely manner which so many of my recently married friends were jealous of! Laura truly went above and beyond more than I think I could ever express in an online review. One of the most amazing things she did for me was to commemorate my grandfather as a part of our wedding day. My grandpa fell very ill shortly before my wedding and about a week out we knew he would be unable to attend the ceremony. Knowing how important my grandfather was, she helped to arrange for us to visit him in between the ceremony and the reception and took pictures of the moments we shared. She handled a delicate situation flawlessly, helping to coordinate with us and our vendors to ensure this could happen. I will cherish these photos forever as they were my last moments with him. So, if anyone has read this review in full, I hope you have the pleasure of working with Laura as your photographer. She really is the best!

I was referred to Laura by a co-worker and am so glad that I used her for our engagement photos and wedding photos. She was amazing, friendly, and very easy to work with. She has a wonderful online gallery to pick your photos and share with family and friends. I would highly recommend working with Laura. Her assistant Michael was also amazing as well!

Laura shot our NYE wedding in downtown Chicago and exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Laura was amazing to work with. We used her for both our engagement and wedding photos. She was so easygoing, and made of feel super comfortable. Yet on the day of, she managed to command attention and get all of our family members, friends, etc where they needed to be! Most importantly, after receiving our photos this last week, I can say for sure how talented she is! We were thrilled with them!

I was referred to Laura through a friend of mine and once I met her, I stopped my search immediately. Laura and her team were incredible to work with! I was planning our wedding from out-of-town and had multiple phone calls with Laura before the wedding. She even took time out of her weekend to meet me for coffee when I was in town. She had great insights into how to structure the day and I was so comfortable leaving some details up to her, since she was the professional! The day went perfectly and, despite very blustery weather, Laura was calm, cool and collected as we braved the outdoors for some shots! Her photos of our reception and, most importantly, the dance party are fantastic. Laura was particularly sensitive about family dynamics and made notes about our families and friends so that on the day of, group photos were smooth and seamless. Thank you Laura!

Laura did our day of wedding photography as well as our engagement photos. From the beginning, she made us feel so comfortable and natural taking pictures. She was really nice and so great to work with. Our pictures turned out so beautiful, I couldn't be happier. Laura Witherow is amazing. At our wedding she was so professional, creative and an absolute joy to be around. The pictures are more beautiful than I ever could have imagined!

My husband and I loved working with Laura! She made us feel comfortable from the start and was very patient with us through the whole process. We had a lot of fun doing our engagement session (which was part of our package) and the pictures were wonderful. We even did a studio photo shoot with our three dogs (not an easy task by any means) and it was great. My husband was traditional in that he did not want to see me prior to the ceremony which meant that we had a lot of photographs to take in between the ceremony and dinner. Laura did a great job making sure we got all the shots we wanted in that time. A really cool thing is that Laura posts some initial photos on her blog quickly after the event. We were able to see a preview of our photos while we were on our honeymoon! They look beautiful and we are excited to see the rest!

Laura was extremely professional and very easy to work with. She smiled the entire time she took our photos and that makes it easy to smile back. She put us at ease when directing us for photo opps, but also stayed in the background on the day of the wedding. We hardly even knew she was there! She was prompt to post some photos on her blog, so we were able to get a sneak peak of our wedding day. Overall, we are extremely happy with the photos and have been receiving compliments on how beautiful the photos were. I will certainly use Laura for our photography needs in the future and would enthusiastically suggest her to future brides and grooms.

Laura was recommended to me through a friend and I feel very fortunate to have been given such a great tip! My fiancee and I met with 3 other photographers before meeting Laura, and when we left the meeting we were both sold! She had what the other photographers lacked: an easy-going personality, good sense of humor, and TONS of beautiful sample books that showed exactly the type of wedding photography we were looking for. Her cost is very reasonable and we were thrilled to learn that our package included an engagement session. I highly recommend having an engagement session before your wedding. Posing was a bit awkward for us at first and I'm happy we had a chance to "practice" for our wedding. There are not enough photo-frames or wall space in my house to put all the fantastic images that Laura captured. The has a knack for capturing everyone's personality on film and is easy to laugh and be natural with! One tip when using Laura, or any other photographer, would be to have a MOH, bridesmaid, mother, attendant, have a list of the types of pictures you want. Laura got the majority of the shots I wanted, but the day was hectic, an unexpected hailstorm cut our photo taking time in half and there were some photos that got lost in the shuffle. Laura is not a bossy person, which is nice, because you don't need a photographer in your face the day of your wedding, but be sure someone is keeping a checklist of important photos. You won't be disappointed if you use Laura as the photographer on your Big Day. My advice would be to snag her now, before she's booked!

Laura Witherow Photography is outstanding! Photography was my #1 priority in the list of wedding vendors. I spent hours and hours meeting with photographers, reviewing their online blogs and checking references. Through a friend of a friend, I was introduced to Laura Witherow. I was just about to hire another photographer, but met with Laura just to cover all my bases. After a quick meeting and review of her work, I knew she was the perfect photographer for us. Just to be certain, I did check a few of her references and every single bride gave the most rave reviews. We had a fun "chemistry" with Laura during our engagement pictures -- she was so awesome to take our engagement pictures during a freezing cold December day (we needed to get our save the date out) and we had so much fun with the photo shoot. At our wedding, Laura did an oustanding job. We are so pleased with the photography and will have a hard time choosing which pictures to print and frame! Laura is so talented and creative. She is professional and accomodating. Laura was so great to work with and her personality made it feel like we working with a friend. My husband and I had complete trust in Laura's ability to capture and document one of the most important days of my life. Laura was also really flexible with payment options -- we sent checks in small increments which was so helpful to us from a budget standpoint. We are so pleased with Laura's work! I have already recommended Laura to friends and family, and we hope to use her for future family portraits.

I absolutely LOVE Laura and cannot say enough great things about her...as a person and as our wedding photographer. She is creative, inspiring, fun and so very, very talented! Our engagement pictures are stunning and different from so many others i've seen and our wedding picutres are exactly what I hoped they'd be. She is laid back and so easy to get along with.
