My husband and I booked a month of coordination package with Lauryn and she started off fantastic upon our booking over a year out from our wedding date and our first meeting was great. After that is where things started going downhill. About a... month away from our wedding date and after our first meeting and construction of our timeline, there was a period of no communication or response from her until about 2 weeks until our wedding day. To that point, our vendors had not received the timeline she created so we had to email it ourselves to the other vendors. She went on to explain that her daughter had an operation done and that was why she did not respond or reach out to our vendors. We empathized and told her that we understood and that all we ask for is communication to let us know what is going on rather than ghosting us. Fast forward to our day of, she brings two "assistants" and it started off as it should with the rehearsal, but as vendors started showing up and guests arriving is where it starting going downhill again. Guests were to walk around the building to the ceremony area rather than through the reception hall. Upon guest arrival they were walking through as they were not told otherwise, my bridesmaids had to lock the doors as Lauryn stated she would "do it later" when we clearly discussed this prior. Our ceremony had a start time of 5:30 and at 5:28 my husband had to begin forming the processional lines as Lauryn and her assistants were nowhere to be found. During our ceremony, we planned a butterfly release and purchased butterflies from Florida. They were sent chilled and would need to be warmed outdoors. The weather was cooler than usual for a July day in Oklahoma and Lauryn was told to bring them out earlier than the suggested time to give them time to warm, which she did not. The butterflies were still chilled when we released them and it looked like we dumped a box of dead butterflies until they warmed up and took off. While everyone was able to laugh it off it was an important part of the ceremony to me that got turned into a comedy show due to lack of following directions. The rest of the night we were behind schedule by 30 minutes to an hour at a time, Lauryn and her assistants were constantly needing to be tracked down rather than easily able to be found, and just seemed to be hanging out rather than working a job they were hired to do. During our cocktail hour, we had multiple yard games purchased for guests to do while we took pictures that were not set out. When asked why they are not out, she responded with "The grass is wet" even though there was patio space open. Due to my husband having to basically direct traffic and keep things rolling, we ran out of time after dinner, pictures, and parent dances we did not get the chance to visit with our own guests before a lot of them left. During dinner rather than making sure guests were being served they decided to serve themselves and begin eating before even half of our guests had gotten their plates. We did have them in our guest count for her and her assistants to have dinner but it should have been after our guests had been served. My husband also did not get the chance to have a dance with his grandmother which he was looking forward to and will never get that chance again. For the money we spent, the service was severely below par and it led to us having to do a lot of what we hired her to take care of. I could say more, but this is all I can fit.
