Limelight Catering was the exclusive caterer for our venue and WOW, we are so glad that it was!!! More than a month after our wedding, my husband and I will say to each other, "remember the [insert food item]?" on a near daily basis. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was some of the best food I've ever had in my life. I have celiac disease and we had an entirely gluten free menu to ensure I didn't get sick and guests had no clue and were (and still are!) RAVING about the food. Working with Bryn and Abbey was such a treat, too. They are extremely helpful, flexible, and know exactly what they're doing--they really helped minimize my stress level. We really couldn't recommend Limelight enough!

We worked with Limelight Catering through our wedding venue, Revel Motor Row. When we went to our tasting we knew this was some of the best wedding food/food in general we have had! Everything was delicious, cocktails were amazing, and the presentation was beautiful. Every wedding guests raved about it!

We worked with Bryn and Limelight for our wedding and had such an amazing experience! She made us feel like we were her friends, and she offered us amazing advice and support as we navigated the wedding planning process. We opted for a cocktail style reception (cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, small plates) and we could not have been more thrilled with how it turned out. Bryn helped us plan an amazing menu and we were thrilled with how everything turned out! We also had so many people comment to us how amazing their service was. Our wedding day staff (servers and bartenders), went above and beyond to make people feel comfortable and made sure they had everything they needed. Thank you Limelight for being such an amazing team to work with. You turned my wedding planning stress into a beautiful party, and I am so thankful we had you! I would definitely recommend Bryn and her team to any couple looking for a catering team.

We hired Limelight for catering our NYE wedding and could not recommend more! We worked with Chelsey who was such a help throughout the entire planning process, not just catering related. Chelsey was so communicative and always helped in answering our questions, giving recommendations, making adjustments, etc. to deliver exactly what we wanted. We also got tons of compliments on the food- specifically the cocktail hour apps. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Limelight more highly. They were wonderful to work with from start to finish (even with having to reschedule our wedding date from 2020 to 2021), and all the food and drinks at our wedding were incredible. Every last thing was delicious and plated beautifully, and we had so many guests commenting on how much they enjoyed all of the food. They handled allergies and dietary restrictions without batting an eye and with no issues whatsoever. We absolutely loved working with them!

We worked with Bryn and the Limelight team for our wedding in July 2021 and can not recommend them enough! Our experience was absolutely wonderful and when navigating the details of a Chicago wedding and all the pieces and parts to consider, we knew that we were in wonderful hands with Bryn. She was incredibly patient with us in our decision-making process, always answering questions and guiding us toward the best decisions for our wedding and what we wanted for our guests, while still making sure that the experience was reflective of us as a couple. When we had our tasting we were so comfortable and it felt like a night with friends - laughing, chatting, trying delicious food & drinks, and making some decisions along the way! When our wedding was impacted by COVID, to say that we were nervous and overwhelmed is an understatement. But Bryn was so responsive and assured us that Limelight would work with us to reschedule, and that is exactly what they did, and we are so grateful. The knowledge, experience, and partnership that Bryn and her team demonstrated throughout the planning process was so reassuring and gave us complete trust in them headed into the wedding. Bryn and her team coordinated our food, drinks, serve ware, linens, and furniture, and we were SO at ease knowing that they had literally everything under control and coordinated down to every last detail. After the stress of a postponed COVID wedding and hearing of others' wedding day blunders, it felt like something was bound to go wrong, because how could it not?! BUT, that was not the case for us and we attribute that to Bryn and her team - their professionalism, experience, organization, and communication skills - both with us and all of the other vendors involved in making our wedding the amazing day that it was. The cherry on top is that even our guests raved about the cocktails and food! Whoever says that people never remember wedding food has clearly never worked with Limelight - one guest told us it was the best gnocchi he's ever had. Working with Bryn and her team was a bright spot in the often stressful wedding planning process and we cannot recommend them enough. Bryn was so attentive and treated us like her only client, when this crazy year was anything but that for her and the rest of the wedding industry. Bryn and Limelight are true partners in planning and executing your wedding, and they want it to be just as perfect as you do - and they deliver on that. They are the best and we would choose them again in a heartbeat.

Planning (and then replanning...) a wedding during a global pandemic is not something I would recommend and is not for the faint of heart, however the team we worked with at Revel and Limelight were beyond fabulous and truly made it so much more manageable/bearable! There was so much up in the air for so long and they were always constant, available, and upfront with any updates or information we needed. In March 2020 when we did not know if we would be able to host our July 2020 wedding they scheduled phone calls and check-ins until we were able to make the decision to push until the following year. Then came March 2021 when we still did not know where Chicago would be by July and they were again readily available to meet, discuss, replan and move our date once again to a time a month later when we felt more assured that we would be able to have the wedding of our dreams. Then once the city reopened and we got the go ahead to replan everything as we originally planned with our guest count they went full speed ahead to make this day happen in a much shorter amount of time then what would be given had it been on a normal wedding timeline. When helping to bring our wedding life they did such an amazing job listening to our ideas and visions and to say they brought the ideas that lived in our heads for our perfect wedding to life would be an understatement. Even with the prolonged planning process they remembered and executed every minute detail we had originally planned for back in early 2020 for 2021, while changing anything that we changed our minds on along the way. When we finally got to have our decor walk through I was truly speechless that every single thing we had talked about was displayed on the tables and in the venue brought to life after such a long time of just talking about it!Our wedding day was pure magic and it was truly because of the Revel and Limelight teams! The amount of people who came up to me to tell me this was the best meal they had ever had and that everything seemed so seamless and there was nothing that went wrong-- I could not have agreed more with them. If something went wrong we did not know about it. They have the wedding day process down to a T and it just really helped with the flow of the wedding and really allowed us to just sit back and enjoy every moment of our big day. Every second of the day was well beyond my highest dreams and expectations, and they did all of this work all while making us feel extremely special and supported. When weddings came back in 2021 to say they had their hands full would be the truest understatement. They had not only the postponements to produce but also the people who got engaged during COVID. They had a year and a half worth of weddings to pull off in 6 months and they did it all while making each couple feel so special and bringing all of our dreams to life. I am beyond grateful for the team at Revel and Limelight, they made the extra year long wait/the two-year engagement so well worth the wait!

The food was amazing and they took our vision for what we wanted served at our wedding to life. From the amazing appetizers to the over the top (delicious) sweets table. They knocked it out of the park and we’re better than any wedding food we’ve had.

Hire a lawyer BEFORE you hire Limelight Catering. Our long-planned event could not go forward due to the pandemic and associated government orders. Despite months of notice of that fact, Limelight refused to refund the 50% upfront deposit we paid them. At least four Revel Group clients (three wedding sponsors and a corporate event sponsor) so far have sued Limelight and/or their related companies (Revel Space, Revel Motor Row, Revel Fulton Market, Revel Décor, the Revel Group) for keeping tens of thousands of dollars of their deposits. Who knows how many others Limelight treated (or will treat) the same way?

Limelight catering is AMAZING! Each bite of their food is perfection and not only is the taste fantastic, but the presentation as well. They could make any food we could think of/wanted come to life. Safe to say no one left hungry/unsatisfied from our wedding! Hire Limelight and you will not regret it!

Not only the best food but the best people! Bryn took such amazing care of us. She is so kind and amazing and I want to be her best friend. The food was also AMAZING! After our tasting my parents couldn't stop raving. As for our wedding day, I did not fall victim to the starving bride curse. The food was so amazing I had so choice but to stuff my face.

When my dad (a hard to please simple man who only likes meat and potatoes) openly complimented the food at my wedding then you KNOW the food is good! We worked with Lexi and Chelsea to develop our ideal hors d'evoures, salad, entrée, and dessert table. They gave us a great start and were open and willing to adjust whatever we needed to make our food feel like us at our wedding. My husband and I like to eat really great food and so we knew our wedding menu had to reflect a higher-level cuisine and Limelight met our expectation. Catering was our biggest expense and we could not have been more pleased with the service, food, and experience they provided for us and our guests.

We were absolutely thrilled with the service and food Limelight provided at our wedding! Working with Bryn was SO much fun and felt like working with a friend throughout the entire process. She helped create a fantastic menu that our guests absolutely raved about and Sarah was such an amazing host on site. The groom and I LOVE food and this was such an important part of our day - limelight knocked it out of the park. From the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts and late night snacks - WOW. Multiple guests came up to us to say it was the best food they’d had at a wedding. Not only was the food amazing - the service. The staff was attentive, kind and energetic. They made sure we got to try everything. We can not recommend Limelight enough!

Working with Bryn and Limelight was a dream!! We received so many compliments from guests at our wedding that the food was outstanding. Bryn even set aside all of the appetizers for my husband and I as soon as we arrived at the reception so that we could actually have a moment alone to enjoy some delicious food! Bryn and the rest of the staff were extremely professional, accommodating, and very calm. Bryn was always 2 steps ahead of me, so she relieved all of my stress leading up to and during the wedding. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

We absolutely loved Limelight. The food was phenomenal and the staff was great. We have heard from many of our wedding guests that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Bryn was our coordinator and was so organized and helpful throughout the planning process. She was very easy to work with, professional, and very knowledgable about many different aspects of the planning process. She made great recommendations for food combinations and it totally payed off! She also helped us bring together our vision for the room with linens, floor plan, etc. We loved Limelight and would recommend them to anybody that has catering needs.

After meeting Bryn and having our tasting at Limelight it was clear that they needed to be a part of our wedding day. Bryn was great to work with, she bounced ideas around with us and helped us create a menu that not only represented my husband and I as a couple but also pleased our guests. Limelight’s service is elevated whether they are providing table setting advice or serving all guest at a table at once - everything is done with impeccably.

Limelight is amazing! We worked with Bryn Dyar, who was incredible from start to finish. She really listened to what we were hoping for and came up with the best menu. She was collaborative, responsive, and lovely throughout the process. Our food was DELICIOUS and the presentation was gorgeous. Limelight staff could not have been kinder or more professional!

Don’t look any further for a caterer! I am a huge foodie, so selecting a show stopping caterer was a priority for me. One of the most consistent compliments I’ve been given from my entire wedding was the food. This is all thanks to Limelight! Their offering is unique, yet approachable. Let a few of my menu options speak for me— truffle Mac and cheese cones, beef carpaccio on a Parmesan crisp, pull apart Asiago and herb bread, Lake Michigan whitefish with a root vegetable confetti, parsnip purée, and sautéed broccolini. There is NO detail left behind and that goes for every dish. I AM STILL SALIVATING! Please book them!

When it comes to choosing a caterer, there are a handful of things you need to keep in mind. Options, affordability, flexibility, and organization - It's often easy to forget that the caterers do so much on your wedding day. Chelsey and the rest of the Limelight crew set up our entire reception and ceremony, from start to finish. They helped us with a floorplan, put all the place settings out and worked with our florists, bakery and DJ on timelines and layouts. Theyre the Jack of all trades, and quite frankly, masters of all. AND THE FOOD. Oh, the food. It was absolutely delicious. We were a bit apprehensive that the tasting before hand would be better quality than on our wedding day because that makes sense, right? Its easier to cook well for 6 people than 100 people. But it was even better the day of our wedding. They worked with us tirelessly on getting a menu that worked with allergens, a vegetarian bride and groom with meat loving family and friends, and those with a particularly picky sweet tooth. If I could have them cater every event I ever went to, I couldn't be happier. But we'll have to live with the memories of their mini chocolate shakes with cookie straws, fingerling potatoes with rosemary and roasted tomatoes/green beans. We also heard from more than a few guests that the Parmesan Chicken Scallopini with Pesto Jus was incredible. If this all doesn't get your mouth watering, I dont know what to tell you.

We loved working with Limelight for catering on the day of our wedding! The menu they designed was flavorful, unique, and included all of the foods we love. They also graciously accommodated specific allergies our guests had with ease, which really helped to make our day even more worry-free. We really appreciate it!

Our daughters wedding was really spectacular. The ceremony and the band were amazing and their love provided an incredibly warm feeling but the only problem was the food. Even though we were assured that we ordered enough food for 235 guests, there wasn’t sufficient food. People left a wonderful evening with positive energy but they were hungry both after dinner and after the cocktail hour. Many close friends mentioned that they didn’t realizing that there had been food serviced at the cocktail hour since they never were offered anything. All the important things went right but I didn’t think I provided the best experience for my guests regarding the food which was disappointing.

Chelsey from Limelight deserves a huge round of applause. From the tasting to the 14+ iterations of our contract, Chelsey was SO helpful throughout the entire process. Also, she's so cool and it was nice to work with someone in the wedding industry w/ super chill vibes #yafeelme? The food blew everyone away the day of. People were literally chasing the service staff for appetizers across the venue. I was pleased by this sight. Also noteworthy to mention, the service staff were A+, top notch, 5/7 as the internet says. tagline: LIMELIGHT, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG.

Chelsey was always responsive and professional! We found the Limelight staff to be gracious hosts to our guests and attentive to us! In addition to the food tasting great...we were impressed by the presentation as well! We are grateful to Limelight for helping to bring our vision to life and being a part of our special day!

Good food for our wedding was really important to us but Limelight took it above and beyond. After our tasting we knew we had made the right decision, and after our wedding, our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing the food and service staff all were. Molly made the entire process a breeze and on top of that- it was fun!

If you are able to hire Limelight Catering for our wedding, you need to do it. My hubby and I are huge foodies. And our family and friends all knew that. They had very high expectations for the food on our wedding day because of that. Well, let me just say that Limelight knocked it out of the park! Our guests LOVED the food. Even our parents (who are the most pickiest eaters) couldn't stop raving about the food and how delicious it was. Limelight was also super accommodating. My husband has a walnut allergy and is also lactose intolerant. I am gluten intolerant and also am a pescatarian. During the tasting and the wedding, they made sure to accommodate all our dietary restrictions without sacrificing flavor. Also the gluten free bread they had - seriously was some of the best. I couldn't stop eating it because it was so good! We worked with Chelsey and Bryn and they were both amazing. After our wedding planners left the wedding, Chelsey pretty much took over and was the point person for us. She seriously went above and beyond the day of.

We hired Limelight as our caterer for our wedding in May 2017 and worked with Chelsey throughout the planning process. Chelsey was always on top of her game, and made sure everything on the day-of went seamlessly. Everything that we tasted at our tasting was so delicious that it was difficult to decide what we wanted on our final menu. They even accommodated a few requests for alterations to their standard dishes to fit our personal tastes. Food on the day-of was just as delicious as we had remembered, and several of our guests made it a point to tell us how awesome their meal was.

Limelight is a breath of fresh air - if you love great food and service ,they are definitely the caterer you should use! We worked with Chelsey and she is fabulous at her job - very organized, very responsive, and follows through on every request. The food on our wedding day tasted just as good as at the tasting, and our family and friends couldn't say enough good things about their meals. Thank you Limelight!

BEST FOOD at a wedding you will ever have! Chelsey and her team were amazing. Everyone kept telling us how much they loved the food. I have some rather annoying food allergies and they were extremely accommodating to me and our guests. Limelight staff was flawless. Thank you all so much for such a great experience.

They are so much more than just the expected wedding meal. Hands down, the number one complement we have received from our guests was how great the food was. We offer beef, chicken and vegetarian and all the guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding and better than most restaurants! Beyond that, Nicole and the rest of the staff were fantastic at every turn. They coordinated with our venue and other vendors and we didn't have any worries.

Limelight was recommended as one of the best caterers in Chicago and there is no doubt why after using them for our wedding. The food was decadent and the service was extremely professional, both on the night of our event and also in the months leading up to it. I have never had such good food at a wedding and many of our guests came up to us all night and emailed us afterwards to tell us that as well. In fact, throughout the night, even before congratulating my husband and I most guests would comment on the food. One steak connoisseur even said it was the best filet he had ever eaten! We worked primarily with Marguerite, who is a principal and clearly knows the industry well. She helped us achieve the feel of a supper club both by aiding us in selecting our dinner courses and by working with us on bar décor (decanters, etc.). She was very very helpful and we enjoyed working with her. We had 5 passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour which included the lamb vindaloo, spanakopita, vegetarian samosas (something they created just for us), and more. For the first course our guests enjoyed a simple salad with veggie crudités and herb vinaigrette and a small grilled cheese sandwich triangle with tomato soup dipping sauce. The main course options were a filet mignon that melted in your mouth and did not require a knife, a French cut chicken with a savory sauce, and most importantly, an eggplant rollatini, something that we requested specifically as we are both vegetarians and that is our favorite meal. They not only accommodated this special request, but they also nailed it. I was a bride who actually ate her entire meal. The breads, coffees, and teas were also very good. The bar package options offered a good variety and Marguerite worked with us to create a full-service bar that catered specifically to our guests’ tastes while staying within our budget. The staff were extremely professional and the food seemed to just appear at each guests’ seat. They were also helpful in creating a multicultural dessert bar for us as my husband and I wanted to represent our heritage through food. We ordered treats from 5 Persian, Indian, and German bakeries around Chicago and Marguerite’s team displayed them beautifully on the dessert table, in addition to serving our wedding cake. I cannot say enough good things and promise that the food and service is worth every single penny. I will definitely use Limelight for parties and events in the future.

My husband and I visited 4 caterers before deciding to go with Limelight for our May wedding. We are very discerning when it comes to our food -- we wanted our wedding food to be memorable and delicious. Limelight's food, quite simply, was phenomenal. I couldn't count how many times guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had; in fact, many of our guests asked for the caterer's card so they could use Limelight for their own weddings. Four weeks after our wedding, guests were calling my mom to tell her, AGAIN, that the food was just incredible. Limelight's food is creative and beautifully presented. The service the night of our wedding was impeccable -- the servers were attentive, but never noticeable; they were discrete and efficient. Finally, our catering manager, Nicole B., was an absolute dream to work with. She accommodated our every request with enthusiasm and was very patient as we decided on our menu. She even prepared a special appetizer plate for my husband and I in our "prep" room to make sure we each got to taste our appetizers the night of our wedding! I can't recommend Limelight highly enough. You, and your guests, won't be disappointed!
