The hall was beautiful, the linens and tables were set up perfectly and on time, and the decorations they have available for use were lovely and a great supplement to what we provided ourselves. The staff were courteous and easy to work with. All in all, we would highly recommend if you are looking for a reception site!

some place that we could choose our own caterer versus a preferred caterer that would end up being $15-25 a plate. Some place that was affordable, but still nice. After searching reception halls in Lincoln I came across the Lincoln Firefighter's Reception Hall. We checked it out and booked it the same day. Julie was great to work with! She was very accommodating to needs and helpful along the way.

uestions leading up to the big day. The planning went well, and Julie, the manager/coordinator, seemed very well organized. She listened to my wishes and seemed to understand what I wanted. One thing that I knew right from the start was that if the hall was booked the night before my wedding, I wouldn't be able to get in to decorate until 9am on my wedding day. The hall does get booked during the week because it is inexpensive, so it did get booked the day before my wedding. That is one thing that I didn't like. The other thing I didn't like was that when I got there to decorate, there was no room for a dance floor. Apparently there was a miscommunication between the manager and the person setting up the tables, so two of the tables had to be moved and two had to be taken down. So the money that I spent on the two center pieces and table linens went to waste because those tables were no longer set up. But I have to give Julie credit, she made the fix happen quickly, and we were able to finish decorating before heading off to get ready for pictures. Everything else seemed to be great. They have a great kitchen and I brought in my own caterer. The bartenders were nice-the only thing I noticed was that Julie had told me that once my two kegs ran out that one of the bartenders would come find me or my husband and ask if we wanted to tap into another keg-which didn't happen. I figured maybe we didn't go through two kegs, but one of my guest told me that the bartender told them that the keg was about out and they would have to start charging for beers soon. Over all I was really happy with my choice to use Firefighters hall for my venue. It was nice, inexpensive, has beautiful lighting, and was flexible to my needs and wants. The staff was also very nice to work with. I would recommend for sure!
