I worked in the wedding industry in my prior life. They were pleasant, helpful, constantly checking with the wedding party and their guests, making sure everything was at the highest standards. The location is gorgeous, the manor is just what you would expect it to be. The food was fantastic, from appetizers during cocktail hour, to the after hours offerings. They do it all- a one stop wedding venue, providing all the services needed to make your special day a worry-free occasion. I could go on and on. The waitstaff were fantastic- so refreshing to see such young people full of energy, eager to please and with positive attitudes. Hard to find these days! at the manor, and our entire wedding party stayed on the property with us both nights. We moved in. It was luxurious and intimate. The big day was spectacular. The setting, florals, service, attention to detail, and THE FOOD - everything was excellent. Months later and we're still getting rave reviews from our guests. t the manor was in a different class than the other venues we toured. While we fell in love with the gorgeous Italianate gilded age manor property, we were especially charmed by the personal touch and attention to detail that Andrew, Jackie, Ted, Janice, and the entire team at LTM operate with. Throughout the year and a half planning our wedding and the wedding day itself they made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with. No request was too silly or big for the team at LTM - if they could make it happen, they would. Also, a special recognition to Chef Mike as well, who worked with us to create the ideal menu for our guests (steak and shrimp for our main course!!!). We were pleasantly surprised about his ability to create delicious alternatives for our dairy and gluten free guests. Being dairy free myself, I absolutely loved the dairy free strawberry shortcake he made for me for our rehearsal dinner. The wedding weekend unfolded without a hitch. Foremost, Jackie designed our flower arrangements for the wedding and she absolutely nailed what we were looking for. She is a true creative and it was an inspiration to get to work with her to bring our vision to life. Ted and Janice were there every step of the way to ensure my husband and I had everything we needed and that the wedding kept to the schedule. We truly felt so special the whole weekend and that the team genuinely cared that we had the best weekend. Many of our guests remarked that the food, staff, and elegance of LTM was one of the best weddings that they had been to. The accommodations were comfortable and we loved being able to stay at the property on our wedding night. We only wish we could do it all again.

everything Lord Thompson Manor took care of for us. In fact, I'm sure there are dozens of things I didn’t even notice, thanks to their magic behind the scenes. From the planning process—where you're in constant communication with the Manor’s team, filling out their detailed planning paperwork—to the end of the night when Ted hands you a (cold!) water bottle on your way to bed, and the breakfast the next morning when Janice has packed up your things, wrapped your flowers, and asks how you'd like your coffee—every detail is covered. Over coffee, you might casually hear that a vendor was late to arrive the day before, but the best part is that you never knew about it because LTM handled everything seamlessly. I could go on and on about the venue, the convenience of having rooms on-site (and just down the road), the amazing vendors they work with, THE FOOD, and the sheer ease of having your entire wedding weekend in one place. But that wouldn't fully capture what makes LTM so special. What sets Lord Thompson Manor apart is that all they care about is YOU—and your guests. They make your comfort, preferences, likes/dislikes, and even your undecided opinions their priority throughout the weekend. For someone like me, who is usually stressed and anxious (and desperate not to be a Bridezilla) I was able to stay calm and fully enjoy my wedding day because I knew everything was in capable hands. Every time we spoke to Jackie and Andrew, we knew without a doubt that we had chosen the right venue. We rarely had questions to ask them—because they had already thought of everything. And while it felt like the entire staff’s attention was focused on us, our guests can’t stop raving about the personal attention they received. I promise, even your most “difficult” aunt (you know the one who’ll ask a million questions about the dining room setup) will rave about the venue. Ted and/or Janice will grab her a chair, fluff her pillow, and engage her in conversation about the history of the Manor (true story!). Lord Thompson Manor didn’t just host our wedding—they created a truly unforgettable experience for us and our loved ones. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to begin our married life together.

Our entire wedding weekend was so organized and came together beautifully due to the efforts of their incredible staff. Jackie, Janice, Brittany, Ted, and Andrew, among the plenty of other wonderful staff members, anticipated our every need throughout the weekend and handled any question or change that may have arisen. Every single detail was thought of, from the amazing floral design and décor, to the unparalleled, delicious food (which our guests said was without a doubt "the best wedding food” they've ever had). The feedback we received from our guests throughout the weekend was overwhelmingly positive and everyone had an incredible time. The LTM team helped create lifelong memories for us and we will be forever grateful to this venue. As I may have alluded to above, choosing LTM was the best decision we made during this process. We cannot recommend this site and this team enough!

I was speechless and immediately began to cry when I walked into my ceremony space the day of. She is a genius !! Janice is a dream. She is literally on top of everything. When an eyelash started to fall off, she WENT TO A CVS AND BOUGHT EYELASH GLUE. Ted kept us on schedule and moved everyone through perfectly. Not to mention the food is not wedding food it is real amazing food !!!

e like. To say I am thankful for this is an understatement. We spend years dreaming of our wedding, imagining what it will look like, asking for things we aren't sure are achievable. I had about 1,000 of these details in my head, and LTM did NOT miss a single mark. It was unbelievable and I am quite literally in shock one month later. From the stunning decor, to the magnificent food- the wknd was one no one will never forget. From the moment we pulled up to the manor for our 1st tour appt with Andrew, I knew we had found the venue of our dreams. Furthermore after walking in the front door, you immediately pick up an energy that I had never felt anywhere else. It was warm, cozy, familiar, and it felt like home. I wanted everyone I knew to see this spectacular hidden gem of the earth we had found. Andrew was so thorough & concise and just knows everything there is to know about how to host the perfect wedding. Then the ever so talented Jackie, the photos of her work online had my jaw on the ground, I was so excited to finally meet her. Her extensive and impressive collection of dinnerware, decor, linens, and more can give anyone a beautiful event. The cottage, which is a space you can only dream you will be lucky enough to get ready in on your wedding day- is managed by Janice, I remember talking to her on my tour about everything to expect the wknd, how the morning of getting ready would go, and heard her devotion to making her brides happy. She brought me to tears that day already knowing we would become super close and feeling relieved to know I would have her by my side from day 1. Ted, is also fantastic- his smile lights up the room. He has the voice of an angel and a heart of gold. I could never imagine the wedding planning process to be so fun seeing what some of my friends had gone through. I would talk with the team all the time, we really built a lovely friendship throughout the process. Jackie and Janice were always VERY on top of my details and plans. Whatever advice or crazy requests I had they were there to help me figure out. Before I knew it, it was 1 year into the planning process and time for our tasting! They went above and beyond we had the best day seeing our table decor for the first time which was PERFECTION! It was an exact replica of all of the inspo photos I had shared before, so unique. The tasing was the first time we met Chef Mike, but we had been talking for weeks prior about a bunch of crazy requests I had for my wedding weekend- which you wont be surprised to read were ALL executed beyond perfection once again on the weekend. This consisted of a live hand piped cannoli and Napoleon bar, a live hot pasta chafing station, an Italian inspired interactive charcuterie table, a potato latke station, a NY bagel bar, and more!!! Mike and his team absolutely killed it and ALL of my guests said it was BY FAR the best event food they had ever had. Moving into decor and florals, I loved how the manor had different vibes depending which part of the property you were in, and I wanted to capture that mysterious excitement for my guests with how I decorated each space. My inspo for the rehearsal was Positano Romance, and Jackie literally transposed the Amalfi Coast into the outdoor area of the manor. MULTIPLE guests came up to us to tell us the felt like they were in Italy, it was spectacular, quite literally amazing. The side garden felt like a fairytale to me, my Inspo for this space was Alice in Wonderland, low and behold once again the mark was hit! In the dining rooms I wanted romance and elegance, guess what? CHECK! Candles everywhere, soft florals, you could feel the love no matter which dining room you walked into. The party turned up after dinner and we danced past 12am! Brunch sunday was the perfect send off and it was hard to leave, but it was see you later, not goodbye for me and this group! We will be back!!!

were the best to work with - easygoing and professional from the start, and always made the bridesmaids and groomsman feel very welcomed and at ease! There are no details missed when it comes to making sure that your wedding weekend is perfection. Janice, or as I called her “The Mary Poppins of Weddings”, went above and beyond to make sure all the girls felt comfortable, prepared, and just relaxed throughout the entire weekend. She was always there to lend a helping hand, offer incredible suggestions, and just a calm and happy face. LTM makes everyone feel welcomed and special, making sure that the wedding weekend is memorable from start to finish. There was no detail that was missed - they even somehow had the perfect heel protectors for our heels when walking on the grass! The ambiance and food are 10/10 and all of the individuals providing service did so with a warm smile. It was a beautiful experience to have been part of a wedding at LTM and I definitely recommend this venue for other couples looking to have a beautiful and incredible wedding.

From the day we chose LTM to the minute we walked out the door the Sunday after our wedding, we were catered to in every way imaginable. Andrew made it abundantly clear to us from day one, “if you want it we will make it happen for you” and he and his team delivered above and beyond. From financial decisions, to specialty cocktails, everything was more perfect than we could have asked. Jackie is a true visionary and it’s her #1 priority to ensure you have exactly what you dream for. Her genius took our ideas and photo inspiration and made it into a reality - from decorations to florals, she handled it all and curated the most magical atmosphere NOT ONCE but TWICE for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding night. Janice became another mom for us this weekend and was there for us at every moment. She helped unload all of our things on drop off day, steamed ALL the bridesmaid dresses, organized dinner to be brought to the cottage house for our cousin who just had a baby, read a beautiful poem to all girls on the wedding day, even gave the bride a cold towel when not feeling well at dinner and SO MUCH MORE! She’s an angel of a human and we felt so lucky to have her. Our wedding would not have been as special if it weren’t for Ted, host of our wedding weekend. He carries such vibrant energy and brought so much love, thoughtfulness and care. Not only did he tend to our every ask without hesitation, he literally SERENADED us and our guests with his incredible singing as he poured champagne during dinner – magical doesn’t even come close to describing Ted throughout the weekend. The running joke was that he had to have had multiple twins because it was impossible for him to be doing so many things at once! Chef Mike spent hours on the phone with us working through every detail of foods we liked and disliked, brainstorming ideas but most importantly delivering on dish after dish that’s quality and taste were only surpassed by whatever dish followed behind it. Time and time again people tell us they haven’t had food so delicious EVER let alone as a part of a wedding. If the manor were a restaurant we are sure they would have 125 returning customers after the culinary experience we had the weekend of our wedding. Not only did we feel this way but our friends and family could not stop talking about every person on the LTM team. They made us feel so special we hugged them out the door on Sunday as if they were our own family. We would give anything to experience our wedding at LTM all over again and we’d love for other couples to have the same experience. From the bottom of our hearts, this was the most special weekend of our lives and it was all thanks to our lovely Lord Thompson Manor family. aunted by the prospect of planning our big wedding celebration around our busy schedules, but the team at Lord Thompson made those fears melt away. From our first meeting with Andrew, it was clear that this venue was unique (an English style manor in a quiet corner of Connecticut that oozed elegance and class), accessible (a good middle ground for travel for friends and family coming from different states and countries), and had built in planning and coordination, florals, food and alcohol, and accommodations to make the weekend run seamlessly. The team at the Manor will proudly tell you that all they do is weddings, and it shows! Compared to some of the other venues we looked at, we loved that the Manor and Cottage House was all ours for the whole weekend and that we, and our guests, would have undivided, personalized attention. No rushing between venues or working around other weddings. Just time to celebrate with friends and family. We left the meeting knowing that our wedding would be a great party and we were excited to book with them. From my first meeting with Jackie (the co-owner and planner/coordinator/florist/jack of all trades) I was impressed by her attention to detail and professionalism, and as the weeks and months went by I was blown away by how she turned my haphazard vision into a clear and beautiful reality as if she had read my mind! She also incorporated our backgrounds into the wedding weekend to give it that extra personal touch. I took lots of comfort in being able to call Jackie or Janice and going over the wedding weekend schedule, plans, and forms at least 10 times. They indulged my questions and stresses with such care and warmth. Leading up to the big day, the venue hosts a 'tasting' where you (and 4 friends/family) can see your table settings/decor, taste your food, and see the venue as it would be on your wedding weekend. You get a chance to see the colors and themes other couples have chosen, too, if you're looking for additional inspiration! The tasting experience made it so easy to touch base with Jackie and Janice about the flowers and arrangements, with Chef Mike about the food (which was mouth watering), Andrew about financials, and other preferred vendors, including the transportation team, Bonardi's formalwear, and the team at the Kiss Spa. Lord Thompson has created a great community to support the couples who chose to celebrate there and leverage that to ensure a smooth and amazing experience. They also coordinated with our outside vendors very nicely! Our wedding weekend itself could not have gone any smoother. Our wedding attendants, Janice and Ted, were by our sides the whole weekend and made sure our families and wedding parties settled into their accommodations and had everything they needed (and I mean everything!). The wedding rehearsal was meticulously planned and the rehearsal dinner and welcome gathering at the venue went off without a hitch. The wedding day itself was a beautiful, sun-soaked day at this gorgeous venue, filled with love and laughter, and according to our guests, some of the best food they've ever had (seriously, the food all weekend was AMAZING)! I cannot thank the team enough for making the Manor feel like home for the weekend and for taking such good care of us. We are forever grateful!

. It was so fun/convenient to have our closest family and friends hang out at a single location for the whole weekend (from Rehearsal Dinner to Sunday Breakfast). Huge plus - the Cottage House has an onsite spa where all of the bridesmaids get ready; no need to worry about transporting people early in the morning for hair/makeup. Aesthetically, the Manor is STUNNING, elegant, yet has such a cozy and warm feel from the dark wood-paneled walls and the fireplaces. The ceremony and outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped and covered in cabanas, lounge furniture, fire pits, and yard games. The Cottage House is so well-decorated in a neutral palette; perfect for getting ready photos. But aside from the location itself, the true magic is the team that runs the operation. I was an out-of-state bride and the LTM team made the planning process so simple and easy and the wedding day went by seamlessly. Everyone that works there (the owners, the coordinators, the waitstaff, the bartenders, etc.) is accommodating, attentive and they take the utmost care of their couples and families from the initial meeting to check-out on Sunday. They treated us like family and made the Manor feel like our home for the weekend, which is truly unique from a standard wedding venue. The staff goes above and beyond on EVERY DETAIL and they are proactive to help…e.g., Janice printed a last minute menu customization for one of our guests; My MOH’s dress strap broke as we were heading to the ceremony, and within a matter of seconds, Janice sewed it back on; Jackie went above and beyond and helped one of the bridesmaids get to the airport (because her ride had fallen through) the day we were all checking out…the list goes on. Know that if you book LTM, nothing will go wrong…seriously. They are wedding experts, they have seen it all and they know their venue inside and out. I truly believe that there isn’t a problem that could not be fixed on the fly. Andrew makes the planning process easy and clear to understand. If you like whiskey, add the whiskey tasting bar! Andrew hosts it and it was the most professional whiskey tasting set-up I have ever seen. A huge hit with our guests! Jackie has such a creative eye. She put together the most stunning florals and decor and provided so much guidance during planning process. I knew I could trust her to bring my vision to life. Janice and Ted are masters at the weekend coordination and are just the most kind, caring people that you would want to have by your side on your wedding day. As a bride, I felt so secure knowing that Janice and Ted would tell us where we needed to be and when; everything was on schedule. Chef Mike’s food is hands-down incredible and he serves plenty of amazing options that our guests loved. All of the weekend meals were so memorable. Chef Mike was extremely easy to work with on any customizations we requested and takes food allergies/dietary restrictions very seriously. Regarding the bar/drink options - amazing. If you love espresso martinis, you will love LTM’s bartenders :) 
If you are considering LTM, take a tour; you will not be disappointed. Pictures do not do it justice and you have to meet the team to really understand what makes this place so special. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

My friends still ask about her! If you are not convinced yet consider: 1) venue can host 200 people until 2 am 2) affiliated inns designated for family and friends 3) hotels nearby that are affordable 4) custom menu, 5 star quality 5) late night vibe - cabana, fire pits, outdoor bars, cornhole/bags where everyone can find their own happiness 6) whatever drinks the guests want (espresso martinis) On your wedding, you want to be surrounded by genuine, loving people. That is how I’d describe the team at Lord Thompson Manor.

The staff are a well-oiled machine that ensures every cue is not just met, but performed with charm, professionalism, and most importantly, a personal touch. It stands in contrast, too, to the Cottage House, where your partner and bridal party members can also retreat to for peace, respite, and relaxation in order to prepare for your day. Planning a wedding can be stressful. If there is any detail to your wedding that you're worried about, the staff at the Manor have more than likely not only confronted it, but solved it. From decor, flowers, food and beverage, and even where to stand and what to say, they are prepared to put your mind at ease so that you can focus on what you're there for - having the best day of your life. y, but I wouldn't change it for the world! From the start, I knew I did not want a large ballroom wedding, however I was slightly hesitant about how the dinner and dancing would go, since everyone is seated in separate rooms. This was not an issue at all, and looking back, I can't believe I even thought this. From the beginning, we had a team of people dedicated to helping us. Andrew and Jackie are phenomenal. They are responsive, kind, and they genuinely care about making your experience special. I want to start by saying, my husband and I were quite busy throughout the planning process. I was in school full time and working, and he was in a medical fellowship. I could not imagine having had a wedding somewhere else. They made the process SO easy for us. I love that we had the property for the weekend, including the cottage house and the manner. Our rehearsal dinner was at the manor, super convenient, and absolutely gorgeous. One example that sums up the process to me was planning florals. I sent Jackie a few pictures of what I wanted, we had one phone call, and she made my vision come to life! The same goes for the rehearsal dinner décor and wedding décor. This was a huge contrast to my friends, who were also planning fall weddings. They had multiple meetings, phone calls, and headaches over simple things, like the florals, make up artists, and even chairs. I did not have any of this! On the day of the wedding, I had my own support and planning person, Janice. She was amazing, went above and beyond. She kept us on time, and even sewed a strap back on my friends bridesmaid dress! (Something I did not know until much later!, thank goodness). Ted was there to help my groom get ready. He also greeted us at the manor on Friday. Everyone was quick to adapt when it started raining. And after the ceremony, I even had people on hands and knees blow drying my dress! I did not ask for this, it just happened!! Mike is an amazing chef. Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They thought the appetizers were dinner, they were that great! Also, as the bride, I did NOT go hungry. Plus there was even a plate of appetizers waiting for us at the end of the night in our bedroom, just incase! If you are thinking of getting married at LTM, definitely do!!

The words “Thank you” don’t even hold weight to the gratitude, appreciation, & overall indebtedness we have-Andrew, Jackie, Ted, Janice, Chef Mike & everyone there made our wedding the wedding of the century. They exceeded all expectations with every detail & step along the way. They were patient with ALL questions & took the time to make sure we felt seen, heard & comforted. The organization in place for us to reference & complete helped make everything go so smoothly. LTM has everything & all vendors you ever need when planning a wedding! Your vision and unique details shine & they do whatever it takes to make it happen. They took pride in creating our vision! We feel SO incredibly lucky to be a LTM B&G. We've heard from every guest that it was the most beautiful venue & wedding they had ever been to. It was the best weekend & day of our lives. My husband & I bawled our eyes out when leaving Sunday morning. Everyone at LTM took the time to make sure we & all our guests had everything we needed & went ABOVE & BEYOND to make sure we were the spotlights & felt so special. The warmth & love we felt from every staff person at LTM was a feeling you can’t describe. To the kindest waitresses/ers, to the person at the front door welcoming everyone in- as if you’ve known her for years, to the friendliest bartenders. Andrew & Jackie (owners) are the most passionate planners, visionaries & all around truly amazing people. They have the most patience, care, support & are always there for you. They take your vision, your wedding experience, & the biggest day of your life so seriously you know everything's going to be perfect. Jackie & Ted, who were there supporting us every step along the way onsite, were truly spectacular, as well. Ted, made every moment so homey with his beautiful voice & making us feel like the most special people. Janice has such a huge heart & made sure us girls were all taken care of above & beyond, as well. Janice was by my side the entire weekend & we bonded so quickly as if we’d known each other forever. She read us the most beautiful love poem before I walked down the aisle, it was a moment none of us will ever forget. Chef Mike is incredible & LTM's dinner style’s so different (& DELIC), every wedding should do this. Cocktail hour was overflowing-there were SO many options; he takes special diets/allergies so seriously, too. LTM is so unique/different in every way & sets you a part from all other weddings. We cant wait to go back & visit one of our favorite places. Our journey from start to finish was true perfection & we cant say ENOUGH amazing things. When you arrive on site, you just ENJOY yourself because they are there for you always. Everything was 100% worth it. We smile at all the most amazing memories, photos & laughs we had; it was ALL LTM. LTM does it the BEST of any other wedding venue around & we say that with our whole hearts. Your vision will come to life BETTER than you have ever dreamt it. LTM is truly the best of the best-RUN don’t walk to get married here!

Janice , Jackie , Ted and Andrew we can’t thank you enough. The cottage house was perfect for the wedding party and the weekend was one we’ll never forget. I give Lord Thomson Manor 10 plus all around. All of our guests raved about their experience as well.

Andrew was always willing to talk us through our thoughts and concerns and worked hard alongside us to find solutions. We ended up needing to postpone a year and the manor made that transition seamless. In regards to planning our event, no stone was left unturned. Jackie is incredible!! She has such an eye for detail and helped bring the vision I had to life! From the subtle decor that made our day feel so intimate to the floral arrangements, we were amazed with how everything came together! As for the weekend of, Janice and Ted were the absolute best hosts! They made sure that we, along with our guests, had everything we needed! The cottage house was my oasis and my bridesmaids agree! Ross felt the same was about the Manor, it was the perfect location to hang with his friends (lots of cornhole and wiffle ball) before we tied the knot. We truly feel that everyone at the manor became part of our family and added such special touches to our day! My husband and I are still getting compliments on how our wedding was “the best they’ve ever been to!” and that the food was absolutely amazing! (Thanks, Chef Mike!) We wish we could relive this weekend over and over again!! Have no doubt that if you get married at the Lord Thompson Manor, you will truly have your BEST day ever!
