I just want to say that they were professional & nice at the beginning when we were checking out the place. My fiancé and I loved the place and we picked it.

t instead because we have guests from out of town that cannot make it & also for the safety of our friends & family.
And in order to have a weekend wedding the guest list has to be over 80.
At this point, we had provided them over 10K & according to the contract, if we decide to cancel, the venue keeps 25% of what we paid.
That's fine. It is understandable.
Now, here is where this negative review is coming from:
They agreed to mail us the checks on three different dates. June 16, June 30, July 15.
I only received the first check on the first date they mentioned they were going to mail it out.
Come Thursday, July 23, I noticed we are missing the two other checks. So I called UP.
Ada, the person who appears to be the only one physically there, with no managerial staff, tells me she will talk to her boss.
They go ahead & mailed us the second check but mind you, they didn’t send it when they said they were going to, which already placed mistrust in our list of worries.
On Tuesday, July 28, I called again to let them know that we received the second check & to ask when will they mail the third check, or if we can physically pick it up. No one answered the phone after multiple attempts.
On Wednesday, July 29, I called again. No one picked up.
On Thursday, July 30, I called three times. No surprise, no one picked up.
On Friday, Aug 1st, I called & Ada picked up. I just wanted to let her know we received the second check, & asked if we could go pick up the third check, or if they can mail the check on Monday, August 3.
Ada mentioned the venue will be closed on Saturday due to the hurricane & that I cannot go to the venue to pick up the check.
I said fine, please mail the check on Monday, August 3rd.
I called on Wednesday, August 5 for updates. Ada responded.
She was rude to me. I did not appreciate her tone of voice & she just didn't let me speak & always cutting me off.
Throughout this whole time, Ada keep telling me she has no daily communication with her boss.
I really haven’t seen a job, where even during the COVID-19 lockdown, there is no communication between supervisors & employees. Her boss doesn't speak to her?
That makes no sense. Especially when it come to MONEY & or the COSTUMER.
Why this business has to act shady when the customer wants their money back?
I do not know, however it is unacceptable. Please think carefully before you accept a contract with them.
Pay in full the day of the event.
So quick & eager to get the money, but when refund time comes around, they act shady.
