They are the true meaning of pure elegance and classic style. Perfect blend of old and modern styles. The owner, Sherri, has this beautiful, talent of bringing the brides vision to another level of pure beauty beyond what the bride's vision is/was. My daughter and I unconditionally just trusted her wonderful guidance and watching my daughter walking down the aisle, proved beyond my vision, we made the best choice. My advice brides, book your appt at Madeline's!
I've wanted to buy my dress from this shop since I was little. When I went for my appointment, the owner was so nice and helpful and I found a dress that I loved. The problems came after the dress was ordered. I live out of state, so I was supposed to pick up my dress when I went to visit family for Thanksgiving. The dress did not get in until after the new year. In addition, I had to call multiple times to actually figure out when my dress was coming in. Every time I called they said they would check and get back to me, then never did. When I ordered the dress, I paid to have the transparent parts lined and to add long straps. Neither of those things were actually done. The owner ordered extra fabric and longer straps after I got the dress so that I could have my alterations person add them in. Turns out they don't actually make longer straps and I had to have my alterations person combine two sets of straps. All of these things added to the cost of the alterations. Now on to the BIGGEST ISSUE. When the owner measured me to see what size to order, she said that the sizing chart showed I would be a 10, but she thought that was too big so she ordered me an 8 instead. When the dress came in, it was WAY too tight. The seamstress at Madeleine's told my mom that there was extra room in the seams for the dress to be let out. This was not true. Because of the way the back of the dress was, it was extremely difficult to let it out even a little bit. My alterations lady was amazing and worked tirelessly to let it out in any spot she could, and even after that it is still tighter than is comfortable. Again, this raised the cost of my alterations, and if my alterations lady wasn't so talented I would have spent all that money on a dress that I couldn't even fit into. All in all, when I first went the service was great but it wasn't worth the stress and them completely messing up my dress.
Well, I wrote out a review detailing my experience but it was so lengthy due to the atrocities we encountered at this business, I ran out of character limit. This shop was 90% of my wedding stress. I worked with this shop for 14 months, regarding my dress, my groom's suit, my groomsmen's suits, and I tried to order my flower girl dress & ring bearer suit through this shop as well but the owner, Sherri, never got back to me about the flower girl & ring bearer suit, up to the very moment of this publication. I ended up buying them from David's Bridal. Long story short, my dress was incorrectly ordered several sizes too big, even after I questioned it & was reassured. Our suit process started in July, but we didn't actually have everything, in their correct sizes until the day before the wedding, even though it was stated multiple times that we needed everything no later than 2 weeks prior. We were promised dates, which would come & go with zero communication. My husband and I were having to reach out and chase Sherri down, when items would come in, they would be the wrong sizes and have to be reordered. We had one groomsman who lives out of state and she sent him to MULTIPLE shops which were closed, that she allegedly contracts with, one of them being a THREE hour round trip! She told the groomsman he couldn't tell the groom or bride, but of course he told us. She tried to change prices multiple times, and when the men corrected her on it, she decided to make comments on their careers. PLEASE, brides, save yourself the headache & the stress. It was a nightmare & I do not understand how this shop is still in business. We heard from other customers who had weddings the same week we did, that they were having similar issues with this shop. Yes, customers talk when they see each other at the same tailoring shops. I did not even leave my dress to be pressed because I could not trust this shop with it for another second. I paid extra to have it done by someone else who worked quickly to get it back to me. I really hoped that at the end of the day, I was going to have a good experience with this shop & it's owner, Sherri, because they are a local business and we spent SO much money there (all of the groomsmen purchased their suits, not rented). However, it was the opposite, literally up until the day of the wedding because she kept getting things incorrect. Just don't shop here, don't fall for the razzle dazzle at your initial appointment, because I did & it is my biggest regret.
I went to several dress shops in town and found the dress of my dreams there. The owner and sales team identified my style immediately and found the perfect EDDY K gown for me. Thank you for being apart of my day! Go into Madeline’s Bridal ! You will not regret it!
Where do I start…. SHERRI, I wanted to take a moment to send you a much-deserved review and huge THANK YOU! Words can’t explain how much I appreciate sherri at Madeleines Bridal Boutique in Clovis CA. From the moment I stepped into your beautiful bridal Shop, I knew it was the perfect place to be. Sherri, you were so helpful from the beginning all the way to the final days before my March 19 2022 wedding. Thank you for being so honest and down-to-earth, and you made my wedding dress EXACTLY WHAT I ALWAYS DREAMED OF! I also want to thank you for taking time out of your every busy day for my alterations. I couldn’t have done this without YOU. So any bride to be, this is the bridal shop you will find your dress! EVERY DRESS in Madeline’s Bridal Boutique (which is ALOT) is gorgeous.
And as pickey as I was on a wedding dress, Sherri made MAGIC happen. Just see the photos for yourself! Much love to you, Sherri! Xoxo
I would NOT recommend buying your wedding dress here. My sister flew into town for her first wedding dress fitting to find out there her dress wasn't there! Luckily my sister had postponed her wedding due to covid, otherwise the dress wouldn't have been there in time for the wedding. The dress had already been paid for in full and the owner Sherri wasn't very apologetic about the situation. Her staff is lovely but she is very disorganized. I also bought my own dress from Madeline's and had to call multiple times to find out where it was.
When my sister was first trying on dresses we went to Ivory and she found "the one". Sheri convinced my sister to buy the dress at Madeline's and proceeded to talk trash on Ivory. Should have been a red flag for us. I would 100% recommend shopping at Ivory or somewhere else in town. I had to post this because I don't want anyone else to go through the stress of feeling like their dress may not be arriving before their wedding.
I used Madeline’s for my wedding last year (July 26, 2020). I was recommended here by my sister-in-law, but it was also in Clovis (where I live). I originally emailed them to schedule an appointment to look at wedding dresses. I went the day after Christmas. I had other places booked a few days later just in case, but the moment I walked, I loved the place. Sherri (the owner) and Jordan had me look around at dresses and to pick out a few. The first dress I fell in love with, but chose a few others. Sherri saw my style and even brought out a few dresses from the back that were similar to my style. I loved my first dress I picked out and the last dress Sherri found. I ended up going with the first dress I found and I still love it too this day. Although I could have gotten it ordered new, I also chose the dress off-the-rack. It was a little bit cheaper, but there wasn’t really anything wrong with it either. Also then I already had it. I never though of look in any other dresses after that. My twin sister (aka maid-of-honor) then looked at bridesmaid dresses. A few weeks later we came in and looked back at the dress my sister and I looked liked for the bridesmaids. Sherri and Jordan helped me with picking out the colors since theme was all shades of green. Plus my sisters dress had beading to make it a little different than the rest. My mom tried on a dress that she loved and matched beautifully to mine. My now husband and best man came in with me to look at suits. Sherri said she had the perfect suit that would match my dress. She brought me to the back and showed me and my mom what it looked like with my dress. It matched perfectly. All the girls dresses had ties that matched too so everything flowed. My husband was a little disappointed he didn’t get to pick it out (he wanted dark green and black), but ended up loving the beige, especially since our wedding was in the summer and ended up outdoors due to COVID. If I could have given this store more stars I would have and I recommend it to any bride or anyone who wants a nice formal/evening dress. I love Sherri and Jordan; the are both so sweet. Sherri might seem picky, but she just wants you and your wedding to be perfect and she knows her dresses. Jordan is always so helpful and knowledgeable too.
Buyer beware!
I have to let brides know that if they are thinking to take their business to Madeleines Bridal to please be very cautious. I had a terrible experience with them & now I’m paying for about a quarter of my original dress price because they ordered me a size about 6 sizes too big. One of the employees pretty much made me feel like I HAD to get a size 8 which I’ve never been in my life. so I asked if I could have a size 4 or 6& she basically said it was smart to get a size 8 because of weight gain & alterations. This was May 2019& it was about 6 months after having a baby.. I also tried on all my prom dresses which were size 2s & I still fit into all of them. It made zero sense, but they talked a big game that they knew what they were doing. I have no experience with wedding dresses, so what did I know.. I called asking for my dress after the new year which was supposed to be ordered after the payment was processed in May.. They must’ve never ordered it until I called because after I was placed on hold they said “oh the dress should be here by the end of next week!” Once I tried on the dress it was pretty big, but I listened to the so called “professionals” & let them do their job. The dress was sent to alterations through a different company (because I was told by numerous people to get it out of their hands) & they were even surprised at how big the dress was.. then I found out the price & after having numerous people tell that was ridiculous I contacted Madeleines & politely told them about the issue... the owner blamed me for the issue & the alterations company. Sherie (owner of bridal shop) called the alterations company & found out the dress was actually a size 10! Sherie never called me I found out through the alterations. I called the bridal shop the next day & Sherie was in an appointment & was supposed to call me after. Never did. I got a text saying Sherie was going out of town and that she will be in contact after she got back. She never did. This was beginning of August. I finally called & got through the last Friday of August because she answered. Sherie still made it seem like it was my fault & tried to say that it was so expensive because of all the custom work I had done which was $300.. that doesn’t even compare to the ridiculous price of what taking in/ redoing the entire dress was. She rudely asked what I would like her to about it. I asked if she could help me with the alterations price since their shop messed up. All she could help with was $187 towards their mistake. Real helpful lol such a shame how unprofessional they are. Don’t get me wrong, they have gorgeous dresses there, but so does ivory and Cinderella cellar! Hopefully karma catches up to them because they’ve done plenty other brides dirty besides me (I’ve been told by 15+ so far) Unfortunately I found that out after I already purchased my dress. It was very hard for me to call the owner and try to work this out because I don’t like conflict, but I felt I was done pretty wrong & I just dropped an unnecessary amount of money on a dress & size that could’ve been avoided if they listened to the customer.
Also the owner is VERY good at gaslighting her customers. All the negative reviews you see on here is her way of defending herself that’s exactly how she does business.
Pretty sure they want you to get a bigger size so they can get more money from you for alterations.
The girl that works at the front desk, Jordan is very sweet and helpful.
After being told by another salon that I was unlikely to find the style of dress I was dreaming of and I should just consider custom, Madeline's served up the dress of my dreams. With my short timeline I was only able to buy a sample off the floor and the stars aligned and the dress I wanted was on the list to be discontinued so I could buy it on the spot. Sherri even eased my tailoring nerves and sent over a seamstress to make sure the dress could be fitted to my size (it was HUGE) before I committed. I was so happy with my experience at Madeline's that I sent all the men over to get their tuxes and Sherri came through once again like a fairy godmother to save the day with some unexpected fit difficulties. I could not be happier with every bit of our experience at Madeline's from the customer service, attention to detail, and care Sherri and her team put into their customers.
I have a company event coming up in January and was needing to find a dress. During the Clovis Enchanted Evening, my granddaughter saw a beautiful emerald green mermaid dress in the window that appeared to be perfect for me. Unfortunately the store was closed. My daughters went with me today to try the dress on. I didn't have an appt, and they were clearly busy with a few wedding parties, they were more than happy to assist me. I got to try the dress on, which fit perfectly except the hem. Very polite, very friendly, very thoughtful and kind. They could have said make an appt, but they didn't, I will always go there 1st before i go somewhere else. Thank you ladies!!! I LOVE THAT DRESS!!!
Despite what every woman comes in to a beautiful boutique like Madeleine's, we did not have the same intentions with our visit today. My mom has the pleasure of having a very nice holiday party every year, hosted by the company she works for, so we were there after spotting a gorgeous window display during One Enchanted Evening. Unfortunately for us as consumers, we were robbed of their annual LIVE fashion show this year, of no faults of the owner nor current staff. We would have welcomed said show. As we arrived from two different long distance spectrums of surrounding towns with no appt, for a second time, we were greeted promptly, with smiles and warmth. They were completely booked up for fittings and upcoming weddings, but fit us (my mom) right in with positivity and uplift. A staff so eager to help with every need is something we appreciate and had to share in our good fortune. You don't always get such amazing customer service from ANY vendor and they went well over and above. Thank you to everyone there that made all of this possible for us. We will definitely recommend your services to others.
We had a great experience with Madelines Bridal this was our 4th stop after a month of looking and my daughter found her dream dress a special order for length came on date stated and no alterations needed. I highly recommend Madeline's Bridal Boutique
About one week before the big day, the bride decided she didn’t like the way her wedding dress was looking! In fact, we had to buy a second dress to resolve the issue. YIKES!! However, Sherri (the owner), brought us in after hours to fix the problem. When all wS said and done, Sherri made the second dress affordable, altered and cleaned in time for the ceremony!! This was all resolved within 48 hours - I don’t believe any other bridal store would have EVER done all that Sherri and her girls did to help the Bride feel beautiful on her special day!!! THANK YOU TO SHERRI AND ALL HER GIRLS FOR EVERYTHING YOU DID!!!!
We ❤️YOU!!!
Sherri and the other lovely ladies that work at Madeleine's were AMAZING!! They were very helpful in narrowing down the dress styles I liked, being understanding of my taste and wedding theme/colors, and helped me find the absolutely perfect dress. Not to mention, they made this by far the most fun and relaxing thing I have done while wedding planning. They are even helping customize the dress to be what I want, which is rare to find! They were so helpful throughout the whole process, and I would go back to them in a heartbeat! I'm telling everyone I know who gets married from now on to come here first for the amazing service! Go to Madeleine's, you will love it!!
Sherri is absolutely amazing! She made me and my crew feel like family! From finding my dress, booking after hour appts for bridesmaids dress shopping with snacks and bubbly, ordering dresses with a rush, bringing my dress to my first fitting, helping my out of state girls, taking lots of pics and boomerangs for us after hours on a Sunday when she met us to pick up bridesmaids dresses, it’s always a blast when you enter the store! Thanks Sherri and crew!
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!
Even one star is far too generous a rating for what this store truly deserves. We had the worst experience here! Our dresses were not ordered on time. When we would call to inquire about their arrival the staff would say they didn't know and that they would call us back, which they never did, not once. Our dresses arrived with only one week till the wedding. Sherri then assured us we would get free alterations to make amends. Once we had taken all the dresses in for said "free alterations" Sherri then reneged on her offer. She was rude and dismissive and clearly not interested in offering any kind of decent customer service. We were forced to pay expensive rush fees for an already expensive dress. Even the seamstress confessed that this particular problem "happens quite often" with this shop. Avoid the stress, headache, and nightmare, avoid this shop! I cannot stress this enough... DO NOT SHOP HERE!!
I had the worst experience here! I have been in multiple weddings and have never been treated so poorly! To start they ordered our dresses late and began dodging our calls, and when we demanded to have our money back, the owner Sherri then proceeded to offer us free alterations in exchange for the mistake they made. When it came time to pick up the dresses (which by the way was the day before) she went back on her word and said she never said such a thing. Not only disappointed, but angry! I have never had an encounter with such bad costumer service! They didn't even try to help in any way! If I could give them zero stars or a negative I would! If your trying to save yourself some stress on your night day, I warn you DON'T SHOP HERE!
Im pretty sure all the positive reviews are from friends because I have no idea how this boutique is in anyway “the best”. First of all my sister in law is getting married February 2. The bridesmaid dresses didnt get here until Jan 25. 5 days before the wedding. Leaving 5, days for alterations and pressing. Of course we complained because everytime we called they said they will get back to us and never did until we had to call again. So finally having to be threatened that we want our money back they offer free alterations since they knew they screwed us over. So thankfully the seamstress did a great job getting them done in 1-2 days. BUT then Sherri said never did she offer that deal to us. Horrible service, Horrible people. Horrible Boutique. Do not shop here.
Finding my dress at Madeleine's was an absolute dream. Sherri found a lot of styles based on the pictures I showed her, and took my vision and made it better.
The reason I put 4 stars is because when it came to fittings I was told they would call me at the end of September and I ended up calling them. Also, when I went to pick up my dress there was something on the front of the chest. They ended up getting it out and delivering it the next day, but luckily I was getting married Sunday and not Saturday. I still highly recommend this cute little boutique. Great staff!
I️ found my beautiful wedding dress at Madeleine’s. Sherri went over and beyond to make sure my dress fit me absolutely perfect. I️ got endless compliments on how gorgeous my dress was and I️ am so thankful to have had such a wonderful experience at Madeleine’s. Thank you all so much for everything you did to make my wedding day that much more amazing with the perfect dress!!

Let me start off by saying that Sherri is the most accommodating person in the business!! My girls and I were able to make a last minute appointment and received her full, undivided attention. She has made shopping for my mother, my bridesmaids, and myself the best experience. She pulled dresses I never would’ve picked and I loved her taste for my body type. Plus she offers an amazing selection of dresses!
I didn't want a dress that was strapless but that's all that I seemed to find that I liked. Then I came here and I found the dress I'd been looking for. The stylist was very helpful. She gets 5 stars. Only reason I gave it 3 stars was because when we went to shop for our bridesmaid dresses the owner wasn't very nice to her employee. The stylist that was helping us was newish but we were ok with that. The owner was kinda rude and talking to me about the employee, which I thought was very unprofessional. We had the same experience with the owner a few years back but thought I'd give it another shot since I found my wedding dress here.
Love Madeleine's! I had such a difficult time wedding dress shopping until I came here. The staff was great at so helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. And I absolutely love my dress!
I found the perfect dress here! All the girls are very helpful! The owner is amazing and very sweet! The shop is very clean and the dresses are all gorgeous!
I was referred to see Sherri at Madeleine's Bridal from a past bride. Sherri is awesome and it felt nice knowing that she was not trying to make a sale the entire time. I called a few other places for the Paloma Blanca dress I wanted to try on, and I was shocked when they quoted me the price because it was marked-up over my budget. Madeleine's pricing was very reasonable and it fell under my budget so I was happy!
Also, the other bridal boutiques I went to didn't pay much attention to detail when it came to the dress. (I am Type A, detail-oriented.) I'm petite, so Sherri suggested that we do custom measurements of the dress so it would look more proportionate to my height. Other shops just wanted to send in my basic measurements, then I would have to hem the bottom of the dress which would have taken away from the overall design of the skirt.
BOTTOM LINE: I would personally refer my good friends and family to Sherri and Madeleine's Bridal! Thank you and keep up the good work.
Sherri knows how to dress a bride and groom! She picked out my wedding dress and also helped pick out the best vest, tie and jacket for my husband. I LOVED my dress and the help I received at Madeleine's through the whole process. 💕
Madeleine's bridal shop was going through some really challenging times over this last year.
There was some very serious family emergencies that of course led to a few hiccups, but overall i would still go with their shop.
My gown was PERFECT!
Sherry goes to some great bridal shows, and brings in some of the very best gowns you will find in the Central Valley.
They make sure that at the end of the day, you will beautiful, and get everything you were hoping for! I would definitely buy with them again.
My experience with Madeleines Bridal exceeded my expectations! The customer service and my gown was absolutely amazing! Everyone was very helpful whether it be in store or answering my random daily emails! They were always on top of it! (Thank you Kacy!) I wouldd definitely recommend them to anyone! I got my accessories here as well as groomsmen tuxes! It was the best! I am one Happy Bride!
I have to say a huge thank you to Jenna and all of the ladies at Madeleine's!
I was very nervous about finding a dress and the time that I had to get it in.
Madeleine's had so many styles to choose from. But I wasn't overwhelmed because Jenna was able to help me find dresses that were exactly what I was looking for.
Not only did Jenna help me find the perfect dress, she got it here in time. At every appointment she stayed with me from start to finish and was also very helpful to the guests that attended my appointments with me.
A big plus, which made my hectic life a little bit easier, was that the alterations lady, Shirley Gambero, that Madeleine's works with picked up my dress and dropped it back off for me when it was done.
I also found out last minute that I needed a veil and Jenna was able to get it in for me in under a week.
The girls went above and beyond to help me out from the start. Even quickly pressing my dress to help me get a better idea of how it would fit and staying after hours when trying it on.
I highly recommend Madeleine's to any bride in search of that perfect dress!!!
I did like the girls for most of my experience at Madeline's. The store is beautiful and really makes you feel like a blushing bride when you enter. Malena was very helpful and sweet. Sometimes when I would call and get another employee they would be very cold/short on the phone. I do not recommend the seamstress they try to refer you too. She is very far away from the dress store, is very nice but overpriced and lacks quality. The incentive that the dress shops offers was not worth using their seamstress in my opinion.
Finding the dress is the best part of planning a wedding. Madeleine's staff treated me like a princess and were so wonderful and helpful. I found my dream dress here and they even cleaned and fluffed my dress for me before my wedding. I was so happy with their service and quality. Thank you!
We ordered the dresses in March, and we did not receive them until just last week. The salespeople were not very helpful, and did not call to inform us of anything with the shipment. It was only on a fifth call there that someone answered and I was not sent to a voicemail.
It is rather pricey too.
Everyone at Madeleine's was awesome! My dress turned out amazing!
I was pleased with the service I received from Madeline's. they have gorgeous dresses and frequently have sales to make room for new stock. They were good at keeping in contact. I used their recommended seamstress so they transferred the dress to and from her shop for me. Right before you pick up your wedding dress they have it all pressed for you.
There aren't enough good things to say about Sherri and Gianna, the owner and manager of Madeline's. both women worked with me to help me find my perfect dress and veil. They also carry bridesmaids and grooms line so our entire bridal party was dressed in Madeleine's gowns and tuxes. They are very reasonable on price and strive to help you if you need anything!
The ladies at Madeliene's are amazing! They knew who I was everytime I called, they didn't have the dress I was looking for in house so they did all they could to order it for me, set me in the right direction for alterations, and a florist, and the same with the bridesmaid dresses. They press in house and help you with accessories. Basically a one stop shop for me! :)
My experience with Madeleine's was so amazing! I already had a particular Bridesmaids dress I wanted for my girls in mind and I also already had a particular Wedding Dress Designer in mind for my dress. I called the shop about a month from actually going there and I spoke with Gionna who answered all my questions and was so incredibly helpful and nice. They ended up having what I was looking for in stock. We drove all the way from Bakersfield and we had a big group coming so they actually came in a hour early for us and let us have the Boutique to ourselves. Gionna was just a nice as she was on the phone she had me pick a variety of gowns and helped me every step of the way. The shop owner was very involved in the experience as well which really helped me make a decision. They really connected with us on a personal level. When I found the one they were both as excited for me as my friends and family were. They even gave us a champagne toast to celebrate! The Bridesmaids Dress was so beautiful and looked amazing on all the girls. I even found shoes for the girls there as well that they were going to have dyed to match their dresses. The prices were very fair. I did not feel like they overpriced a single thing we bought there. They only required a deposit for the dresses to be ordered which really helped all of us out a lot. We were there most of the day and they got busier a busier as the day went on but they continued to pay attention to us and made sure we were being taken care of. It was well worth the 2 hour drive.I decided that since they took such good care of me I would have the alterations done there as well. So I will be making a couple other trips back. My mom and grandmother have also decided to purchase their dresses there as well based off of our wonderful experience. Last night I also received a hand written Thank You from Gionna. It is all the little things that they have done to go above and beyond that continue to truly impress us. I will be referring all my friends and family there for future weddings!
Madeleine's Bridal is AMAZING and trust me, I know this because I have had absolutely horrendous experiences at other shops. I'm originally from New Jersey and went shopping back in NJ shortly after getting engaged. The first place I bought a dress from messed up the size and length of the gown and told me I grew and got fat. Yeah, nice huh? I'm 5'0 and 115. I returned my dress. The second was Priscilla of Boston who proceeded to go out of business and never notify me. Sherri at Madeleine's was the one who told me that Priscilla was gone, or going at that point. She graciously offered to take my dress in and help me with alterations and she did not have to at all. She did it because she believes in making people happy on their most special day.
I have ordered my bridesmaid's dresses from Madeleine's and they made ordering a breeze. First of all, they spent countless hours going over all of their dresses with me and Gianna would tell me every time a new dress came in that she thought I would like. My maids are located all over the country and that was not an obstacle for them. They have also arranged for shipping for the girls. It's a tiny tiny fee and makes life so much easier for me. I really don't want to have to worry about packing and shipping dresses and am so glad they can do this! And by the time I would get boxes from FedEx, packed them and shipped them, I'm sure it would be a lot more than Madeleine's is charging. I can't wait for them to come in. I'm sure they will be amazing.
I do NOT think their prices are high AT ALL, but I am from New Jersey and weddings are substantially more expensive back east. However, the dresses at Madeleine's are beautiful and trust me, if you go east, the same dress would be substantially more expensive. I have such a difficult time when I go in there because I want to look at all of the beautiful gowns!! Seriously, their selection is amazing and any bride would have a great time going in and looking through their selection.
Gianna told me where to look for brooches and jewelry in the antique stores in Clovis for my maids and me. I ended up getting the most beautiful brooch ever that I am having turned into a hair comb with their help. She has even take the time go over Mother of the Bride dresses back in New Jersey with my mom, whom she's never met, and told her what she thinks (after seeing photos of my mom) what would work best for her. My mom ended up getting a beautiful dress back east and a lot of it was thanks to their help.
Sherri, Gianna and the rest of the Madeleine's team has made everything prepping for a wedding should be, enjoyable and easy. I seriously do not know what I would have done without them. I tell Sherri all the time that she rescued me and my dress. The day she told me Priscilla was going out of business I came in the store and just sat there and cried (bridal emotions. what can I tell you??) and Sherri just sat with me and assured me everything would be okay and she would do what she could to ensure that. They make you feel like family. They have gone above and beyond and I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!
When I went looking for my dress, I had exactly what I wanted already in my mind. However, when I walked into Madeleine's, they know they're stuff! They pulled dresses off the rack that I never would've tried on, and they all ended up being my favorites!! Finally, Sherri (the owner) said she thought she had the perfect dress for the look and feel of my wedding, and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one! She gave me an AMAZING deal on the dress, and I couldn't have been happier on my wedding day. Even now, I'm still trying to find ways to wear it again because the dress is just too beautiful to only wear once!
Great team at Madeline's. Dresses are reasonably priced and I found my perfect dress!
Cute store, very organized. In the end, I was happy with the way my dress turned out. At times, I felt like everyone was just a "Yes" person and not always being honest. "Can alterations do this? Yes! Can they take this out? Of Course!!" This proved to not be the whole truth. My dress had a beaded applique on the bodice that was slightly off centered. I didn't make an issue out of it... Not much you can do when the wedding is 2 months away. That is obviously a designer issue, but as a customer, we don't talk to the designers- just the boutiques that carry their products. Overall, everything was OK.
First and Foremost I apologize to any bride who read my initial review. When I first went there they did treat me well. After giving my deposit for my wedding gown it all went down hill. It was unbelievable how they changed. My sister was treated beyond rudely, as I was denied that Gianna was there when I called that same day. When I selected the dresses for the bridal party I & my mother were shown a dress in a charcoal grey. We were assured by Gianna that the dresses would be that color. We believed her after all why shouldn't we right? Well the girls in my bridal party asked if they could have bolero jackets to go with their dresses I replied yes. I then called the store and asked them to please order me enough material to make 3-4 jackets. That was never done even though I called numerous times for it to be done it never was. I also asked that they not inform my two sisters that I was paying a portion of their gowns so that they would not feel bad. I stressed this over and over again. My sister then informed me a week ago that she was told by Sherri the owner that I was paying a portion of her dress. When I questioned Sherri of this she pretended to not know this was to be kept from my sisters. Two weeks ago I went to The Men's Warehouse to select the tuxedos for the groomsmen and I was going to have the vest match the girls charcoal dresses. I called Sherri to tell her I needed a swatch of the girls dresses so I could match the groomsmen vest she said if I went to the store the next day I would be able to get one. I went the following day and picked it up. Sherri commented to Gianna that the color looked green. Gianna replied it was the lighting. I went to The Men's Warehouse the next day and nothing they had there matched the swatch. The swatch was nothing in the shade of grey. In fact the the swatch is more of a green than it is grey. I called Sherri to tell her this and she wasn't available. I left her a message. Sherri called me later and assured me she would take care of it saying she would look at the material and either give me the material I ordered or a dress to take to match with the vest for my groomsmen, promising she would be at the store when I arrived the next day. I told Sherri I had a case the next day, Sherri replied it did not matter because she would be there all day. The following day I arrived at the store and Gianna was there. I asked for Sherri and Gianna replied Sherri was not there. Once more she was not there as promised. When I got the material I told Gianna it was green and not grey. Gianna simply replied it was grey. I then began to recall that Gianna had mentioned to me that a bride was upset over the dresses her bridal party had ordered because the color was not what she ordered. There is a history with them it seems. I also had problems with my Save the dates. Sherri took forever to order them and when she placed the order I wasn't informed of the cost. Even after I asked several times what the cost would be. They were ordered wrong placing the venue when they only should have the date. The venue changed and I had to order new ones as a result of her negligence. Sherri's response to my concern about the color of the dresses was "you are over reacting" and I have this in an e-mail from her. I cannot say how much I regret going there. The dresses were ordered in the following sizes. Two of the girls are a size 14 & the ordered them a 20 & 22. The other girl is a size 12 & they ordered her a 16.
The staff at Madeleine's were wonderful and made for a wonderful shopping day in search of the dress. Finding the perfect dress was easy with Madeline's, staff were helpful and willing to work within my budget. It was an overall great experience. I'd recommend Madeleine's Boutique to every bride!
I bought my wedding dress and veil from Madeleine's. I loved working with them. They had a great selection, reasonable prices, and were friendly and helpful. I found a gorgeous wedding dress and Madeleine's staff answered all my questions along the way about the ordering process. They also had the dress pressed before the wedding. It's definitely a shop you should check out.
I shopped at 4 other bridal boutiques in the Fresno and San Francisco area, before my last stop at Madeline's. The service was top-notch and I found my dream dress! Sherri, the owner, was very helpful in working within my budget, as well as helping me the dress that worked best for me. The shop is very cute and was a very comfortable shopping expereience.
The service I received at Madeleine's Bridal Boutique was above and beyone what I could have ever expected.
I had my heart set on a very specific dress and though I am living overseas, was trying my best to find the dress from afar and get it ordered in time for my wedding. This was a challenge, being thousands of miles away, but the professional staff at Madeleine's made the process so smooth and easy and really took the stress out of everything. Not only that, but the dress I ordered through them was much less than the exact same style that I had tried on in some very UNfriendly shops in L.A.
Special mention should be made to Gianna, who provided the best and most thorough service to me throughout the ordering process. Even though there is a time difference of eight hours, she was always available via phone or email and was really committed to helping me get the dress of my dreams. I couldn't have done it without her!
Madeline's has a beautiful shop with a lot of selection. They are willing to work with you on price a little bit. I bought my dress off the rack and they helped me out with the cost of repairs and dry cleaning. I also ordered my veil through them and it was perfect!!! Customer Service is slow if the shop is busy and no frills like I have seen at other stores (like champagne and cupcakes), but very knowledgable employees. Be Careful-- they will try to sell you accessories! I think I definitely overpaid for some of my wedding jewelry. Overall though great shop!
I bought my dress at a trunk show andmgot a great deal. My dress is beautiful and I loved it. I suggest that you should by your dress early because mine took 6 months to arrive.
My mom also bought her dress here and they had a good selection of plus size mother of the bride dresses.
Madeline's was the first bridal shop I went to after I got engaged. I did find a couple of dresses that were decent, but it was the customer service that really turned me off. I had made an appointment to return to try on 2 dresses for a second time, and the girl that helped me put me in my dressing room and disappeared. A friend of hers came into the store and they were chatting it up at the register while I was left with my mom and daughter trying on dresses by myself. When I had a question, she sent the owner over to talk to me, which was even worse. She was too busy on her glitzed out iPhone to even give eye contact. At that point I was through! I found the dress of my dreams at another store. I do not recommend Madeline's to any of my friends.
I loved my dress. The folks at Madeleine's could not have been any more accomodating and nice. They really took care of me and were genuine in dealing with me. I 100% was satisfied with them.
I bought my dress before they moved to their new location so I got a great deal on it and they treated me like I had bought the most expensive dress in their store. Jenna who helped me was like a friend who I would go shopping with. I tried on several different dresses over a 2 day time period and stuck with one of the first ones that i tried on. It was a great experience I wish I could do it again!!
I saw a dress on the Madeline's website and called mostly out of curiosity knowing that it was probably way out of my price range, but Sherri had a sample that was only a size larger than I needed and encouraged me to come look at it. She actually stayed open late so my mom and I could come by after I got off of work. It was THE DRESS and they made it work in my budget.
When it came time for bridesmaids dresses, they stayed open late again and all my bridesmaids and a large group of my family came to the shop to pick the dresses. It was so fun and easy. We had a great time. Sherri helped us pick a dress that was in our budget and looked good on all of my bridesmaids. Out of 7 bridesmaids, 4 were out of state and 1 was out of the country; The staff at Madeline's was wonderful about shipping dresses to the different girls and making what could have been a really difficult bridal task almost effortless. Brides think that if they are on a budget, they're stuck going to a discount bridal shop with cheap dresses and service to match, but I stayed with in my budget AND got excellent personalized service that you would expect from a very high end shop. I would recommend Madeline's to anyone in the Fresno area. They are truly amazing.
Did not like my experience. Not very helpful or friendly, their dresses were not very stylish, they only carried one size of everything and assumed that every bridesmaid would have to alter their dress. Too pricey for the experience!
