SIMPLY THE BEST!!Reviewed on 12/29/2014 Laura W
When my daughter said that she wanted to be married in Fredericksburg, TX, because it reminded her of some of the towns in Germany where she had sung, I thought, well... we can do this. Having lost her mother to heart disease a couple of years ago, this one would be my first (of 4) wedding on my own, and I was sure we could manage everything, after all our previous experience. WRONG! There is so VERY much involved in planning and carrying out a successful wedding weekend at a destination away from home, that we finally decided we needed some serious help. My daughter found Maggie's site online, and was impressed with what she saw, so I called. From the very first contact, Maggie is just the most wonderful, personable person you would ever want to meet, and if you're an older person, like me, you will be surprised when you meet her, to find that she looks amazingly like Judy Collins! But besides being so very kind and thoughtful, she is the most capable and inspired wedding coordinator and designer you will ever have the pleasure to work with!! I gave her a generous, but flexible budget, and my only instructions to her were that I wanted it to be a very special weekend for my daughter and her husband-to-be, and to try work with my daughter in what she envisioned for her dream wedding. They exchanged pictures and conversations for the few months we had between the engagement and actual wedding, and Maggie worked her special kind of magic to give us the most amazing, beautiful and well organized weekend any bride could ever imagine! She knows all the best people to work with for every service needed for a successful wedding celebration, and the final result was just extraordinary!! The ceremony was to be outside, except for only the most threatening weather (a raging hurricane might have persuaded my daughter to reconsider being married outside), but Maggie had 2 secondary locations on stand-by, just in case. Despite the temperatures in the 30's and a sustained north wind, all of her decorations for the ceremony remained intact and beautiful (the wind actually blew my daughter's veil off her head as we arrived at the end of the aisle). And the flowers, draping, lighting, bouquets... everything, was just exquisite!! Moving inside to the reception, my daughter found everything that she had dreamed of, and more. An amazingly talented guitarist played through the cocktail hour, followed by a GREAT jazz band. The table decorations, draping throughout the beautiful building, organization and decoration of the tables, as well as the food stations... just absolutely PERFECT! And everything just as my daughter had requested. The food, provided by the caterer that Maggie suggested, was FABULOUS, and as one of the bridesmaids said... "I enjoyed every moment, from shivers to sparklers!" (4' long sparklers that provided a dazzling archway as the bride and groom left for their honeymoon) Maggie also got a red, European, double-decker bus to take the wedding party from the rehearsal dinner to the square in town, that was so beautifully decorated for Christmas, for some mulled wine and hot chocolate. If you are looking for absolutely the best of everything, in every detain, in whatever your budget might be, from the most truly wonderful and thoughtful and capable person you will ever meet, Maggie Gillespie is the best there is!!

Maggie is one of the nicest people to work with. Her sweet demeanor puts you at ease from the start. What's truly amazing is her keen ability to create exactly what you envision for your special day. Maggie did an amazing job creating the look and style I was going for. Her floral work is truly the best! If you're planning a hill country wedding Maggie is hands down the person to call! She did such an amazing job on both mine and my sisters weddings! Her talent is unsurpassable. Maggie is a true gem!!
We love Maggie!Reviewed on 1/14/2013 Brittney N
My husband, mother and I could not be more thankful for Maggie and her team. From the moment I met her I knew that we would be in the best of hands. She listened carefully to the vision that we had and then just knocked it out of the park. I honestly could not have imagined a more beautiful and perfect ceremony and reception. Our wedding was held at Luckenbach, TX in an old dance hall and we wanted to go for a very natural, 1930s meets the 70s feel and Maggie made that vision a reality. Her floral design blew us all away. Just so beautiful, classy and unique. And the quality of the flowers, herbs and succulents that she used were second to none. It truly was a dream. Not only did Maggie make everything beautiful, she kept it running smoothly. She was always there to answer questions, give direction and just generally hold the fort down. And she did it all with such a wonderful sense of calm and ease that you couldn't help but relax as well. Let me tell you, having my nerves calmed on such a crazy day is one thing that I will forever be grateful for. I just want to give another huge thank you to Maggie and her team for helping to make our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be, perfect.
