Maggie J Makeup is a Professional Makeup Artist with over 13 years in the industry, starting her career in NYC working in Education and Training for top brands such as Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, NARS, Sephora EDU and Tom Ford Beauty. During her time as Education Executive for NYC she led campaign photoshoots, NYFW and Bridal Fashion Week events for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Returning to MN, she saw a need for softer, more natural looking makeup in area which led her to build an amazing team of talented artists. With over 6 years of growth here in the Minneapolis metro area, she has a team of 14 MUAs, averaging over 175 weddings a season. I LOVE making people look and feel amazing! It is at the core of why I became a makeup artist. Being an educator for Bobbi Brown has taught me it's not about doing over the top looks that will make someone feel amazing, usually it's focusing on enhancing her features, keeping the mood light and fun and remembering why you are so excited to walk down the aisle. I love the moments right before a bride opens the gift from her groom or right as I touch up her lip before walking down the aisle, those are the moments that are so special to be apart of any brides big day with her & her bridal party!

able to do two trials with Tia to find my wedding day makeup look and she nailed it. She was so nice and kind, easy to talk to, and even when I did not know what I wanted, she was patient and helped me find it. I truly looked like an ice princess. After my consult with Jess for hair, I wanted to do something different. Jess was amazing and talked me through my vision on the morning of my wedding day and my hair was a dream. A gorgeous updo with pearls running through it...drooling! Livia came for an additional hair and makeup artist and made everyone feel so welcomed and relax. Everyone's hair and makeup was so dreamy and elegant. She was a great artist and conversationalist. We did not work directly with Maggie, but when I couldn't find my perfect makeup look at my trial for my wedding day, she offered her insight and products to Tia to help us nail it. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend working with Evry Makeup Studio from the booking process to the trials to the event day. 10/10!

not only is she an amazing makeup artist, but she’s so welcoming and friendly. The other two artists on her team were so great, welcoming, and friendly and they did all did amazing work! They were also welcoming to my personal hair stylist, who came out to the studio to do my hair. Finally, my makeup, along with my friends, mom, sister, and grandma's, lasted the entire day (and included me being sick and blowing my nose frequently, as well as sweating while dancing that night). KaoHlee was my makeup artist and she was so friendly and she did an amazing job, she delivered the exact look I was going for and really made me feel like myself on my day. She also did an amazing job working with all my bridesmaids and everyone loved their final look. I also have very curly hair and Jess my hair stylist was so amazing she was able to help me wear my natural curly hair while still styling and making it special for the big day. All my bridesmaids wanted both up and down hairstyles and Jess pulled them all off seamlessly. aylor came to my home for a trial and she was warm, kind, and lovely. I am a tomboy when it comes to makeup and I didn't have the vocabulary to express what I wanted done differently. I arranged a follow up call with Maggie and she took the time to talk through makeup vocabulary and helped me find the right words for the look I was seeking. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Maggie J Makeup, specifically my artist Pahoua! I found them when getting my makeup done for my sister in law's wedding...

in July of 2022, they did a phenomenal job as a team and everyone looked STUNNING in almost 100 degree heat. For my wedding in June 2023 Pahoua not only did another trial with me beforehand, but remembered every little detail we planned, gave me tips as we went for my own routine, and is just an all around lovely person. She totally understood that I'm a stickler about things and an absolute perfectionist and she was meticulous, and patient. On the day of, she was a cool cucumber, she did 7 faces, different ages and skin tones, all flawless. I have never been more relaxed sitting in a makeup chair. I knew I was in good hands and was able to enjoy the last little bit of calm before our day got going. What a gift! I got a beautiful glowing glam look, that showed up beautifully in photos and I felt so confident, and the best part about it is my makeup STAYED in melting humid 90 degree heat we were not expecting. as amazing - she makes you feel totally comfortable to give feedback to find your absolute perfect look. I chose Maggie because her work looked very "natural" for bridal makeup and I was not disappointed. I felt so beautiful and received so many compliments about how radiant and true to myself I looked. Her team is also a dream for makeup-shy moms like mine. They are so patient and make everyone feel comfortable. And if you aren't convinced, Maggie literally SAVED our wedding day by covering up the black eye my husband got the night before our wedding (absolutely dumb accident, not a bar fight). She stayed late to color-correct and cover it up and it did NOT show up in pictures all night, despite him crying through the entire ceremony. I simply cannot recommend her enough!
