Marcus was an amazing DJ and helped us achieve our dream wedding. If we could go back in time, we would’ve contacted and engaged Marcus as our first vendor. His attention to detail and experience in the industry is priceless and helped us figure out all of the small details and timeline for our big day. Marcus met with us multiple times throughout the planning process - during our last meeting we spoke for almost 2 hours meticulously going through details. With such careful planning, my (now) Wife and I were able to enjoy the day stress free as everything was entirely figured out. Lastly, and most importantly, Marcus absolutely lit up the dance floor with his DJ set. Our guests loved the music, the dance floor was never empty, and the transitions and announcements by Marcus were perfectly executed. We loved working with Marcus for our wedding. Not only is he talented artistically, he is very organized and professional. We appreciated that he took the time to get to know us and supported us in creating a great vibe for our guests! It was an amazing dance party! We were blending many different cultures – Turkish, Bangladeshi, Canadian, American. It was fun to work with him on incorporating these different cultural aspects to our ceremony and reception. He was so diligent in understanding our run of show, pronouncing our family members’ names correctly, helping our day of coordinate manage the schedule as he MC’ed. We are so lucky to have found Marcus for our wedding. He was professional and communicative but also warm and personable. Multiple guests commented that he was the best DJ they had heard at a wedding and particularly complimented his smooth transitioning. Not only was Marcus so personable, but he was truly determined to match the vibe my husband & I were looking for in our wedding music. Our venue was a restaurant with multiple rooms & he managed to have the sound play wonderfully throughout the place. He even went above & beyond by scoping out the restaurant the day before to ensure his set up for the day of. He kept our dance floor packed all night long by playing our “must plays” while also feeling the vibe of the room to keep everyone (regardless of age) dancing and having fun. Looking back on our wedding, there were little mishaps & things we did not expect for. The true ONE thing my husband & I never had to worry or think about was our music. Having Marcus be our DJ alleviated any potential stress because we know he truly cared about our wedding. He was extremely flexible with the venue, personable with our guests, and exceptionally talented at what he does. I would recommend him 100x over! Marcus was an excellent DJ and made us feel confident working with him from our very first call. He did a great balancing MCing and making announcements at the perfect times while not taking away from the music or party. He even accommodated our special request of joining our string trio for a song during our recessional for our ceremony, even though he was supposed to just do the reception. We appreciated that he knew our venue and even charged us less because the venue had a good sound system. Would highly recommend!

We went with Marcus Ho after reaching out to 10+ DJs in the NYC for quotes. Marcus Ho was among one of the most affordable, but through our initial calls with other DJs, he was also the most communicative, accommodating and organized DJ we talked to. After having our wedding, we were SO GLAD to have went with Marcus, and we've recommended him to a couple other friends as well. Reasons why Marcus was awesome: 1) Was able to customize all the songs/playlists to our liking. We had individual walkout songs for each groomsman/bridesmaid pair. 2) Music was awesome! Transitions were very professional, fluid and sounded at times like we were at a club! Some of these songs are not easy to transition from one to another. 3) Good equipment, sound quality - I've been to way too many weddings where the ceremony/speeches you get feedback or it's not loud/too loud. Not at ours! 3) DJ + emcee all in one. You only pay tip once and only for one vendor meal! 4) Overly, very communicative, came early, video chatted with us a couple times before the wedding and overall a+++ experience! DJ Marcus was amazing from the very first phone call to the big day. Marcus was thoughtful, caring, organized, and fun. We were so impressed by the level of organization with which he approached creating the right musical environment. He was purposeful in understanding our tastes and preferences, as well as him wanting to understand the whole day so he could hit all the right notes, so to speak. As with many weddings, we had a musically diverse crowd that spanned generations, styles, cultures, etc. and yet everyone kept coming up to us and commenting how the DJ was absolutely incredible. Many were also impressed with his technology and hardware that were sleek-looking and had great sound. There was not a dull moment throughout the night thanks to Marcus. We cannot recommend him enough and know you will enjoy working with him as much as we did.

Marcus was a true professional from start to finish. He was organized, prompt with communication, and very knowledgable. During the reception he was able to quickly adapt according to our guests’ energy and diverse tastes, and even revived the dance floor a few times. DJ Marcus Ho is the best DJ and one of the best (if not the best) vendor we worked with for our wedding. He was extremely professional, communicative, and played fantastic music. He answered me same day when I had initially started reaching out for DJs and his initial email had a good amount of information I needed, including cost, packages, and other details you are looking for with a DJ. Also, Marcus not only did his DJ duties, but was able to MC as well for us. We weren't looking for an over the top MC - like the ones who do too much on the dance floor. Instead we were looking for someone who was able to make the proper announcements and also keep the hype up, which Marcus was great at! The whole process of working with Marcus was extremely painless and wonderful. He was very fast with answering emails and addressed any questions we had. We had 2 meetings - 1 initial introduction meeting, which immediately after I knew he was the DJ for us, and a 2nd meeting a few weeks before our big day to discuss details. Marcus provides a worksheet for the couple to fill out with Wedding party details, music picks, etc. It was very detailed and during the 2nd meeting, we discussed it in detail so he is able to ensure that your day goes well. He also above and beyond to contact the venue for our wedding as I believe it was his first time working at our venue. He wanted to make sure that he would be able to set up properly for cocktail hour and reception, and he did so without me having to be involved at all (all I needed to provide was the contact information). Marcus was also able to work on the fly with accommodate a last minute change we had to our wedding and it went off without a hitch. I had emailed him the evening before with the change and on the day, he was 100% able to make sure it was taken care of. Marcus is not one of those DJs where you give him a list of must plays and he takes them as suggestions. He does his best to play everything that you want played at your wedding. We had so many requests that I was worried not everything was going to be played, but after our 2nd meeting, he ensured us that we could even provide a few more songs, which was fantastic! Right before our wedding, he provided his mix of songs he was going to play for our guest arrival and cocktail hour. All the songs he picked fit the vibe that we were going for. On our wedding day, he played all the songs plus some more that went perfectly along with the songs we requested. He read the room and knew what our guests would love dancing to. We had a ton of fun, and our guests seemed to have as well - all thanks to Marcus immaculately curating the vibes. DJ Marcus Ho was such a wonderful person to work with and we were extremely glad to have chosen him to DJ/MC our once in a lifetime day. You should definitely use him for your wedding! PS - One additional detail I did not want to leave out, as it may be important for some people looking for wedding DJ/MCs - initially, we had thought about having a bi-lingual Chinese/English MC and Marcus was able to provide some names he worked with. Ultimately, we did not go with that option, but having the connection was extremely helpful.

Marcus was a great DJ during our recent wedding. During the prep time he was calm, respectful, and an asset to make sure everything was all set for the day. During the reception, he kept the energy flowing and had everyone on the dance floor including some of my old extended family. Where do I begin! From the moment we first met with Marcus, we knew he was the DJ for us. He is so charismatic and easy to talk to. He respected our vision and gave helpful suggestions when we didn’t quite know how we wanted things to go (how does anyone know what they’re doing when planning their first wedding?!). The music was flawlessly executed from guest arrival to the final song of the reception. I can’t tell you how many people commented on the music! The dance floor was packed all night long, so much so that we had late night dessert and I think much of it went uneaten because everyone was having too much fun to leave the dance floor lol. Marcus did a fantastic job DJing our wedding. He was able to seamlessly meld music from different cultures, eras, and genres which kept the dance floor lively the whole night. During the work up to the wedding he was so helpful and had great ideas—he helped us think through and navigate the different transitions in our wedding and figure out what types of music we wanted played. He also worked very well with our band, providing equipment they needed and helping them set up. We LOVED working with Marcus for our wedding. During our first call with him, we got a great gut feeling because he has such a kind, warm energy. This turned out to be a spot-on indicator of what it would be like to work with him. We had our final call with him during crunch time before the wedding, and talking through everything with him was so calming because of his vibe as well as his capability - at risk of sounding dramatic, it felt like a port in a storm! And as for that capability - WOW. People came up to us all throughout the wedding to say how awesome the music was, and we have to agree with our guests. We gave Marcus only a handful of must-plays accompanied by an unreasonably lengthy and wide-ranging list of artists and genres we liked. He somehow distilled the perfect collection of songs from this information and created one of those magical nights where you gasp in delight at every single new track. And it wasn't just the WHAT, but the WHEN - he read the energy of the room perfectly and created an ebb and flow throughout the evening that made for the perfect party. He was also amazing on a technical level, working with the friends taking part in our ceremony to set up mics in multiple locations. All in all, it was a true joy to work with Marcus, and we can't recommend him enough!

We were incredibly fortunate and happy to have Marcus as our wedding DJ. From the very beginning, Marcus was attentive to every detail and helped us shape our vision for the music throughout our wedding day. Everyone had such a blast--he seamlessly played music that appealed to all generations and kept the energy so high all night. And, of course, was a pleasure to work with. After experiencing Marcus at a friends wedding, we knew we had to book him for our own. Not only was his music selection and crowd awareness top notch, but he made the whole process extremely easy. Marcus truly livens up the party; from the minute our guests hit the dance floor, he had them hooked. Marcus is a master at reading the room and handles himself well, accepting necessary requests and ignoring those that he knew weren’t what we wanted to hear. Marcus arrived early and worked closely with other vendors to ensure his set up was what he needed to succeed. His vast knowledge of music allowed him to seamlessly transition from genre to genre, pleasing the entire crowd. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Marcus demonstrated exceptional professionalism. He quickly responded to any email, made himself available when we wanted to chat on the phone, was flexible when things changed, and most importantly, respected and understood the vision that we had for our reception. The initial worksheet that we prepared with him created the template, but it was his attention to detail that allowed us to have full confidence on the wedding day that it would be exactly what we wanted. Marcus is a delight and I cannot recommend him enough. With Marcus as your DJ, trust that your guests will dance their socks off and talk about how fun the evening was for weeks.

Marcus was amazing to work with from the start, he was so personable and made us feel comfortable right away. We were so nervous about everyone having a good time and loving our music and Marcus KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. His song choices were incredible, read the room SO well, had the best transitions and catered to the type of music/party we wanted to throw. We had SOO many people ask us the next day what the playlist was for our party, people said it was the best DJ they've ever heard at a wedding!! 100/100 would recommend Marcus to anyone throwing a wedding party or any event on the dance floor. Great DJ! Great mash ups, songs, getting people to engage. He even took responsibility for a mistake that wasn’t his - our venue (The Briarcliff Manor) purposely messed up our song and didn’t play the tape that was preloaded by Marcus - yet it was who Marcus apologized several times because he knew the venue made a big mistake and the venue had ruined our dance. This is an indicator of a person with empathy and compassion and we are so glad we had a genuinely nice person on our side.

We hired Marcus as our DJ for our wedding just this past May. From beginning to end, he was responsive and collaborative when it came to creating a playlist for every moment of our big day. We even requested a couple of Vietnamese and Italian pop songs and he came through! He also, unlike some DJs, will put in the time to mix the songs together for smooth transitions as opposed to just playing songs off of Spotify, while being adaptive by expertly reading the crowd's energy. It was such a pleasure working with Marcus! For reference, my husband and I partnered with him for our wedding. From the moment we sent an initial inquiry to the day of our wedding, Marcus was extremely responsive and organized. He left us with a great first impression when we formally met (over Zoom! Very accommodating) but what impressed us the most was our last meeting. He asked us to fill out a wedding worksheet in preparation for the call, which asked such detailed questions about every aspect of the night, even details we did not think of i.e., song for cake cutting, song for bouquet toss, etc. When we had our last call, he reviewed every input thoroughly, provided great suggestions on how to optimize duration of songs for every special moment, and was extremely accommodating with sound/equipment. We also appreciated how considerate he was when working through introductions i.e., practiced pronouncing the names of our parents + bridal party, asked us how we wanted to be introduced, asked us how we wanted to introduce our parents for their special dances, etc. The day of our wedding, our guests were having so much fun on the dance floor, kids included! Marcus was also so great about adjusting the music to the vibe of the night. The transitions from song to song were smooth and nothing felt abrupt or out of place. Additionally, we understand that preparing music sets is an artform, but Marcus was so accommodating with any song requests that came down from our guests. We were confident in our decision with him but knew he was truly THE ONE seeing how meticulous he was at work. We also felt his sincerity seeing how excited he was to celebrate with us :) We highly recommend working with Marcus for your next major event - you will not be disappointed!

Marcus was an absolutely incredible DJ at our engagement party in Brooklyn. We had 250 people and everyone was on the dance floor. My dad even said “who needs a band? We set out to give our guests a stress free, fantastic NYE wedding and dance party, and Marcus was such a key person to making that happen. He acted as emcee for the entire night, and spent time with us and our wedding planners beforehand to plan out different moments (e.g. first dance, couple introduction, midnight toast) so each was executed exactly as dreamed. Marcus made our wedding so much better with his presence. My partner and I said to each other more than once that we were so grateful for him. Beyond the emceeing, he meticulously crafted a set list for the most incredible and memorable dance party. I was so impressed by the depth of his musical knowledge! My guests, partner, and I danced the entire set list, and were overjoyed to hear specific song requests we had seamlessly mixed into the overall disco / pop / dance vibe we wanted. Many of my friends love to dance and I haven't seen them bust out their moves in ages. I hugged so many loved ones who thanked me for giving them this night, saying that they were having the best time. There are so many moments of the night I'll never forget, and it was such a hit in no small part because of Marcus' involvement. I cannot recommend him highly enough as a DJ, emcee, and planning partner. He went above and beyond to make sure that my partner, my family, my guests were all comfortable and that the event was a hit. What's more to say? Best night ever, best DJ ever.

Marcus was hired as our wedding DJ and we had the most terrific experience with him. He was professional, thoughtful, and very respectful. We had a pretty set idea on what kind of music we wanted to play for our guest (think dance, sing alongs, and a strict list of "Do Not Plays" which he was able to take and run with. He was extremely easy to trust, which we found to be very important early on in our wedding planning process. Marcus DJ’d my 50th birthday party. Not quite a wedding but close enough. He was terrific and understood the assignment completely- from my musical taste right down to his fabulous blue smoking jacket that matched my “festive attire.” He was very attentive and professional from minute one until the end of the night, and was a pleasure to work with. Let me tell you why Marcus is THE DJ of all wedding DJ's: 1. Timely and Responsive: There wasn't even a hitch in working with Marcus. He is timely in his responses, on time for meetings and the wedding, and is always professional and courteous. You will not have to worry about an MIA DJ with Marcus. 2. Independent: This is very important if you haven't considered this through your vendors. All of our work with Marcus was done before the wedding and after answering a few questions, he flew from there. I saw him working with our caterer, wedding coordinator, friends, and other vendors to make our night special. This is invaluable as you will have a million other things racing in your head wedding day, but the DJ is one thing less you have to worry about with Marcus. 3. Kind and Compassionate: Just the nicest guy there is. I'm sure I may have not been the kindest or most formal during different moments during the wedding, but he always responded with kindness and a helpful attitude. Working with him has been nothing short of a complete joy. 4. Good Taste: I will say my wife and I have a truly varied taste in music between the two of us. I go more hip hop, pop, r and b while my wife is more acoustic, latin, jazz, etc. It doesn't matter with Marcus. He will not only accommodate your requests, but the man just has taste and knows what the people want to hear. We actually didn't have a dedicated dancing portion of the wedding but he still got people to dance. Enough said. 5. Delivers: Everything that Marcus says he will do, will be done. Follow through is important for a project such as a wedding that has so many moving parts, and knowing Marcus was at the helm with the DJ put our worries to rest.

Marcus is accountable, appropriate, accessible and most importantly consistent at doing so. Some notable experiences include but are not limited to: -Marcus answers your emails faster than we could answer his -we visited him when he resident DJs at Ulysses (for a long time!) in the city and he took ample time out to talk to us. Moreover, he dressed cool and relaxed, appropriate for the setting -And moreover, he surely dressed to impress for our wedding -He has exceptional mannerisms and a complementary smile that makes him the most phenomenal individual to work with -his music was so good that everyone at the wedding was always on the dance floor just like how he elicits the energy and flow when playing at Ulysses! We could go on and on about how great he is but that’s just how he made us feel throughout the whole wedding planning process and into the killer wedding he facilitated for Jenn and me. We’re so appreciative, honored, and lucky to have him at our wedding day and highly HIGHLY recommend him to any couple or party!

Marcus was an outstanding, kind, experienced, and intuitive DJ- who was able to offer his expertise as we planned our event, and thoughtfully accommodated our unusual vision for our wedding playlist. From our first conversation, it was clear that Marcus deeply understands how to use music to help an event flow seamlessly. We had our entire wedding playlist plotted out from our ceremony entrance to our very last dance, which didn't leave a lot of opportunity for Marcus' creative input (though I'm sure he would have been phenomenal in building a playlist if we needed it). However, Marcus really stood out in his willingness to share extremely helpful guidance- about our venue (since he had DJ'd there multiple times before), as well as what we should expect for timing for the evening based on our guest count, and the best approaches to manage the flow of guests to ensure maximum enjoyment throughout the night! Marcus is incredibly responsive and professional. From our first meeting with him, we knew he was the right fit. He was on time for all our meetings and asked questions regarding details that we definitely wouldn't have thought of. The night of he played a significant amount of the songs we chose and kept everyone on the dance floor!

Marcus was amazing. From the initial conversation to the final conversation he was personable and professional all throughout. We forgot to do our homework and didn't fill out our music sheet until about a week before the wedding. Regardless he was able to put together one hell of a dance party keeping things alive all throughout the night. His attention to detail was fantastic and all in all just a wonderful person to work with. I highly recommend. This is unrelated to Marcus's DJ/MC abilities, but if it were not for him I might still be trying to figure out how to tie a bow tie. He is the man, a godsend. Marcus did such amazing work for our big day! The flow of the evening from top to bottom was sheer perfection and we could not have been happier with how it all went. We ESPECIALLY cannot get over the end of the evening….when he MATCHED the clapping of the whole group and gave us that one last Hall and Oats song!! That was masterful and brilliant. Marcus did our wedding over the summer! From start to finish he went over ever detail from ceremony, cocktail and reception music. His love for music and knowledge on a variety of genres helped us greatly when it came to picking music for every moment. Amazing DJ who can really work a crowd to maximize enjoyment

Marcus DJ'd my wedding this month, and I can not say enough good things about my experience working with him. During our initial conversations, he was a super diligent listener and made sure to ask a lot of questions to make sure he got a feel for what we wanted out of the evening. He was also super prompt in his replies when we had questions or concerns throughout the planning process. His music worksheet was also really helpful in terms of helping us to nail down the exact vibe that we wanted on the big day. And then, the MAGIC happened! On the day, Marcus was punctual and came fully prepared with everything he needed for setup. He also dressed for the night in a very sharp suit that was perfectly fit for the occasion. He curated the music for the evening absolutely perfectly — we literally could not keep people off of the dance floor. Folks were coming up to us all night to ask for his information because they were so impressed by how well he curated the vibes. The real kicker was that in my father's speech he mentioned that he and I used to sing Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" together in the car. I, of course, did not know this would be mentioned, but right as the speech ended Marcus had Maggie May queued up and played right into the chorus. It was a moment my family and I will not soon forget. If you're in the market for a wedding DJ, or really a DJ for any occasion, look no further than Marcus. You will not be disappointed!

Fun, professional, skilled, and easy to work with! Marcus is so nice and our guests really loved the music and Marcus' ability to read the room. They especially appreciated that he let songs play all the way through and that he made sure everyone was having a good time. He was very attentive during our prep meetings and made sure to play everything we wanted and was very true to our requests for our introductions/announcements/etc. He is also an excellent emcee. Would highly recommend!

Marcus did a fantastic job as the DJ for our wedding! From our initial consultation with him, we knew that he would be sensitive to our musical tastes, while still able to add his distinctive, professional touch. And we found his rates *very* reasonable for someone with so much experience. Marcus was proactive in communicating with us in the weeks leading up to the event, making sure that all our bases were covered. He gave us one less thing to worry about while we stressed over other aspects of wedding planning. On the day of, things went just as well. We ended up with many tracks on both our set list and our do-not-play list, and Marcus accommodated them all seamlessly. Our guests loved Marcus's work—and it showed on the dance floor. Everything else—toasts, cake-cutting, etc.—went seamlessly, too. Marcus even helped make sure our ceremony audio worked, though we hadn't hired him to handle that. Marcus is super kind, easy to work with and can work with broad music tastes. He stands out from other DJs because he has a background in theatre. This allows him to seamlessly transition all of your music, not only on the dance floor, but throughout the whole night. From ceremony to speeches, Marcus has you covered. Our reception was a mix of rap, hip hop, 80's/90's hits, and salsa/latino hits, which he was able to mix seamlessly. People were dancing all night, and all the guests had great things to say.
