uch an amazing job DJing our wedding, we couldn’t be more thrilled. He is extremely thoughtful with his work. He took careful note of my husband and my musical tastes and preferences, as well as the vibe of our wedding, instead of playing a standard tired playlist. Per our request, he blended in some Latin music seamlessly. The dance floor was full and lively all night long, exactly as we had hoped for! He played songs we hadn’t requested but that we love, leaving me wondering how he could have known so well what to play. He also respected our “do not play” list, as I found out multiple guests requested songs on it and he politely declined. Marcus is very thorough and organized which made working with him so easy- he was on top of all the details, order of events/cues, even reviewed proper name pronunciation with us in advance. The event manager at our venue said she loved working with him and was very impressed. Marcus has such a kind and warm personality, and a really special talent- we feel so lucky that he was part of our big day!

We are not huge music people, and he was incredibly helpful in guiding us towards a collection and vibe that was fun for our guests, included our favorite songs, and kept everyone dancing all night. He even singlehandedly designed the cocktail party mix because we weren't sure what we wanted. As an emcee, Marcus was a poised and tasteful presenter, who was very organized and well-spoken around our "run of show." We had many friends tell us Marcus was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard - and we agree!

Not only was Marcus so personable, but he was truly determined to match the vibe my husband & I were looking for in our wedding music. Our venue was a restaurant with multiple rooms & he managed to have the sound play wonderfully throughout the place. He even went above & beyond by scoping out the restaurant the day before to ensure his set up for the day of. Marcus did a great job of announcing our toasts, clearing the floor for first dances & providing thoughtful and meaningful announcements when needed. He kept our dance floor packed all night long by playing our “must plays” while also feeling the vibe of the room to keep everyone (regardless of age) dancing and having fun. Looking back on our wedding, there were little mishaps & things we did not expect for. The true ONE thing my husband & I never had to worry or think about was our music. Having Marcus be our DJ alleviated any potential stress because we know he truly cared about our wedding. He was extremely flexible with the venue, personable with our guests, and exceptionally talented at what he does. I would recommend him 100x over! Out of the different vendors we had - restaurant, hair/makeup etc THIS guy is the absolute #1 recommendation.

Reasons why Marcus was awesome: 1) Was able to customize all the songs/playlists to our liking. We had individual walkout songs for each groomsman/bridesmaid pair. 2) Music was awesome! Transitions were very professional, fluid and sounded at times like we were at a club! Some of these songs are not easy to transition from one to another. 3) Good equipment, sound quality - I've been to way too many weddings where the ceremony/speeches you get feedback or it's not loud/too loud. Not at ours! 3) DJ + emcee all in one. You only pay tip once and only for one vendor meal! 4) Overly, very communicative, came early, video chatted with us a couple times before the wedding and overall a+++ experience! e answered me same day when I had initially started reaching out for DJs and his initial email had a good amount of information I needed, including cost, packages, and other details you are looking for with a DJ. Also, Marcus not only did his DJ duties, but was able to MC as well for us. We weren't looking for an over the top MC - like the ones who do too much on the dance floor. Instead we were looking for someone who was able to make the proper announcements and also keep the hype up, which Marcus was great at! The whole process of working with Marcus was extremely painless and wonderful. He was very fast with answering emails and addressed any questions we had. We had 2 meetings - 1 initial introduction meeting, which immediately after I knew he was the DJ for us, and a 2nd meeting a few weeks before our big day to discuss details. Marcus provides a worksheet for the couple to fill out with Wedding party details, music picks, etc. It was very detailed and during the 2nd meeting, we discussed it in detail so he is able to ensure that your day goes well. He also above and beyond to contact the venue for our wedding as I believe it was his first time working at our venue. He wanted to make sure that he would be able to set up properly for cocktail hour and reception, and he did so without me having to be involved at all (all I needed to provide was the contact information). Marcus was also able to work on the fly with accommodate a last minute change we had to our wedding and it went off without a hitch. I had emailed him the evening before with the change and on the day, he was 100% able to make sure it was taken care of. Marcus is not one of those DJs where you give him a list of must plays and he takes them as suggestions. He does his best to play everything that you want played at your wedding. We had so many requests that I was worried not everything was going to be played, but after our 2nd meeting, he ensured us that we could even provide a few more songs, which was fantastic! Right before our wedding, he provided his mix of songs he was going to play for our guest arrival and cocktail hour. All the songs he picked fit the vibe that we were going for. On our wedding day, he played all the songs plus some more that went perfectly along with the songs we requested. He read the room and knew what our guests would love dancing to. We had a ton of fun, and our guests seemed to have as well - all thanks to Marcus immaculately curating the vibes. DJ Marcus Ho was such a wonderful person to work with and we were extremely glad to have chosen him to DJ/MC our once in a lifetime day. You should definitely use him for your wedding! PS - One additional detail I did not want to leave out, as it may be important for some people looking for wedding DJ/MCs - initially, we had thought about having a bi-lingual Chinese/English MC and Marcus was able to provide some names he worked with. Ultimately, we did not go with that option, but having the connection was extremely helpful.

He was also amazing on a technical level, working with the friends taking part in our ceremony to set up mics in multiple locations.
