His music worksheet was also really helpful in terms of helping us to nail down the exact vibe that we wanted on the big day. And then, the MAGIC happened! On the day, Marcus was punctual and came fully prepared with everything he needed for setup. He also dressed for the night in a very sharp suit that was perfectly fit for the occasion. He curated the music for the evening absolutely perfectly — we literally could not keep people off of the dance floor. Folks were coming up to us all night to ask for his information because they were so impressed by how well he curated the vibes. The real kicker was that in my father's speech he mentioned that he and I used to sing Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" together in the car. I, of course, did not know this would be mentioned, but right as the speech ended Marcus had Maggie May queued up and played right into the chorus. It was a moment my family and I will not soon forget. If you're in the market for a wedding DJ, or really a DJ for any occasion, look no further than Marcus. You will not be disappointed!

prepare a truly personalized music selection: I told him in one of our meetings that I mainly listen to kpop and he said he wasn't too familiar with the genre - yet you never would have guessed it from how he managed to perfectly include some of my favorite songs. He put together a fantastic selection of music that managed to mix crowd pleasers with our favorites and he knew exactly how to add in our favorite songs without turning off people that weren't familiar with them. Marcus was able to keep everyone dancing all night, even people that we know usually don't dance at weddings. I had several guests tell me that our DJ was on point, and the biggest complaint we've heard from our wedding guests was that they were too busy dancing to eat any cake. Marcus was the perfect DJ and we highly, highly recommend him.

the DJ was our personal friend because of how at ease we all seemed around each other. I believe there was an issue when they were doing the sound check, but Marcus was prepared with backup equipment and everything went smoothly. We were already impressed, before he started playing music, but then his music selection knocked it out of the park! He was able to keep everyone on the dance floor for our longer than average dance party, mixing it up with disco, new wave, rap, and top 40s hits. I had multiple (4-5) guests come up to me and tell me they thought he was the best dj they've ever heard. I'd recommend Marcus without any reservations at all! Gave us total freedom of the music to play (I am a music control freak, and wanted big dancing music all night) played literally everything we asked him to, but supplemented with music that he knew would flow seamlessly throughout the night. 3. Plays the majority of each song! Not just quick clips, or transitions to the next song too quickly. This was nice because I feel like most wedding DJs are switching songs every 30 seconds, which feels too rushed. 4. Made sure that he was saying everyones name in the bridal party correctly (we had a lot of tough names), and you could tell that he genuinely cared about getting it right. 5. Truly was a guide for us to curate our own night. When my husband and I had a hard time describing what kind of cocktail hour vibe we were going for, he was able to ask us all the right questions to nail down what we wanted. Marcus Ho was the perfect addition to our wedding team, and we could not have asked for a more personalized professional and, overwhelmingly, FUN experience with him! Our guests had the best time because of Marcus.

My wife and I just so happened to be lucky enough to have had him play at our own wedding. However, I think the best way to describe Marcus, and the type service he'll provide, is by telling you about our wedding. My wife and I had contracted Marcus for our reception (dinner + dancing). We had hired a set of acoustic musicians to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Despite needing him from 8pm and onwards, Marcus came hours earlier to set up. He offered our officiant and other musicians additional microphones in case they needed them. After our ceremony, our acoustic musicians had to move locations to play for our cocktail hour. Without any instruction, Marcus took it upon himself to play music for our guests while the other musicians set up. Talk about really going above and beyond and stepping up in small ways that truly help make a wedding. During dinner, Marcus played the perfect music that helped set the mood and allowed for pleasant eating and conversation. He brought wireless microphones for our bridal party speeches and was amazingly adept at reading the room as to when the appropriate time was to stop the music and allow our speakers to speak. He was incredibly prepared and communicative with us (both before and during the wedding) and never imposed himself... as we all know some pesky DJs do on the big day. He was completely in tune with our timeline and flawlessly segwayed from dinner to our first dance to partying. On multiple occasions, family and friends stopped my wife and I just to gush about how much fun they were having and how they loved Marcus and his music. He was truly one of the best people we have EVER worked with. Tl;dr - Marcus is amazing at his craft and will absolutely rock your wedding! He's incredibly conscientious of your needs. Prepared beyond belief. Highly respectful and an amazing human being. And an absolute pleasure to work with. HIRE. THIS. MAN. Your guests will thank you for it after! :)

It was not an easy job to create a party vibe during a pandemic (while still promoting safety and social distancing), but Marcus managed to accomplish it and we will never forget that.
