Marylee and her team are the real deal. It was clear from the very first conversation that they knew exactly the vision we were hoping to achieve and they did everything to not only meet that vision, but exceed it. While we didn’t contact her at the very beginning of our planning endeavors, she took all of the tasks, question marks, and complications off of our plate. We felt so heard and seen the entire time, even outside of wedding related topics. Marylee was compassionate and so kind when I was going through personal things, and it meant the absolute world to me.
Her response time was so prompt, even amongst the busiest point in wedding season. She made sure to address every last detail thoroughly during our meetings and recaps. It was my first time being a bride and I can’t imagine it having gone any more smoothly. I can’t tell you how amazing it was to have a planning team that not only delivered a wedding of our dreams, but also advocated for us every step of the way. And as many couples in the planning process learn quickly, the costs add up. Marylee made a point of giving us tips and tricks to save in ways; this was so helpful…like seriously. I could tell that other planners I had talked to prior to booking with Marylee wouldn’t have extended the same grace, which was another reason we knew Marylee was it. Her services are very affordable.
When it came to our wedding day, her whole team was absolutely phenomenal. A few hours before the ceremony began, I got hit with nerves and a mental breakdown that I’m sure made me hard to work with. They helped me to settle these nerves, to breathe and I knew that they would have everything under control (and they did). Wanted to also recognize Katie and Chloe from her team. They were incredible as well; super professional and a dream to work with.
Lastly, wanted to mention that you should ABSOLUTELY use Marylee for florals. She went above and beyond and made the flowers absolutely breathtaking. I don’t think I appreciated how fabulous they can be until our big day. She absolutely nailed the vision from the inspiration I had shared.
Needless to say, Marylee and her team is the epitome of top notch wedding planning. I wish I could hire her to assist me with everything in life (hah). A dream come true and truly cannot recommend her more!
Marylee was more that we could ask for as a wedding coordinator! We planned out our meetings in advance and she was flexible with our busy schedules. She was easy to talk to and very timely with communication throughout the planning process. She really focused on important items surrounding our wedding day that would have been an oversight if it wasn’t for her. During our rehearsal Marylee made sure we stayed on time and everyone knew their role for the next day. Our wedding day went so smoothly and we are so happy to have had her as our coordinator. Our florals were also done by Marylee. I simply gave her an idea of color scheme and she brought the vision to life. We highly recommend Marylee for planning and floral needs!!

Planning a wedding comes with its fair share of challenges, and ours included unexpected vendor issues the week of the wedding that caused significant stress. Marylee immediately took control and handled each issue with remarkable professionalism and calmness, giving me a much-needed reprieve in the days leading up to my wedding. I knew I could trust Marylee to advocate for us and find solutions — I still don't know how she managed it, but everything was ultimately resolved and our wedding was seamless. We hired Marylee about a month before our wedding for day of coordinator and honestly, I wish we had hired her sooner! Her lead planner, Chloe was our day of coordinator and was incredible. She was constantly checking in with me and my husband and my parents throughout the night to see if we needed anything! My husband and I also did not need to lift a finger at all our entire day. We used Marylee for the florals at our wedding last month. We had been talking to a few different florists, when our planner recommended her. And WOW! She blew everyone else out of the water with her honesty, pricing, and product. She shared with us the best ways to save some $ when it came to florals, where everyone else was trying to upsell us on needing everything. The other part that made Marylee so wonderful was her vision. I was not terribly inspired when it came to florals, so I sent her colors and a couple Pinterest photos and that is it. And again… WOW. The day of I was so happy with how everything turned out. I would 100% recommend her to anyone. Cannot stress her value enough! Thank you Marylee 💛
We hired Marylee because of her enthusiasm and extra hand holding than a traditional day of coordinator. She helped us stay on track and think of all the details that we would have never thought about! MME was supportive every step of the way even when we hit some snags in planning. Amazing experience with Marylee Marmer Events! We worked directly with Marylee as our day-of wedding coordinator, as well as Chloe Deal during the weekend of the wedding. Communication exceeded any expectations we had. In the months leading up to the wedding, we felt heard and were encouraged to check in with any questions. In addition to planning services, Marylee has a large inventory of decor to rent. She also offers floral services! I am still dreaming about my bouquet and all of the floral details. The flowers were so fresh and vibrant, and the cost was very fair. The day of the wedding was a dream. Our vision truly came to life, the timeline felt smooth, and we were checked on throughout the evening!

Working with Marylee and her team, namely Rachel, was one of the best decisions we made in the months leading up to our wedding. Rachel was our lead planner, and in the weeks prior and day of, not a single stone was left unturned related to the minute details that made every ounce of planning come together flawlessly.
Speaking of the day of, the anxiety of all the logistics, details, vendor management, etc. was WIPED away as Rachel handled absolutely everything with the utmost professionalism. Not ONE thing was put on our plate so that we could focus on our families, friends, and actually enjoying everything come together.
Both Rachel as our lead planner and Marylee as a liaison throughout our engagement were so responsive, flexible, and helpful in offering creative solutions where we came up short.

We had the BEST experience with Brickhouse RVA for our recent wedding of about 50 people. The package that they offer is great! We can’t say enough good things about Marylee and how amazing she was throughout the whole process. We felt supported the whole time and she made sure that everything ran smoothly along with her business partner Andy on the day of. Marylee did such a great job and went above and beyond to make sure we weren’t stressed about anything. Marylee did a beautiful job setting everything up and the florals were gorgeous. Words cannot express how thankful I am to Marylee & her team. As I have told many of my friends & family, hiring Marylee was one of the first and one of the best wedding decisions I've made. I interviewed probably a dozen wedding planners, and Marylee stood out without question because she is so knowledgeable, supportive, responsible, professional, and easy to work with. Most importantly, she is the first planner I talked to that cared about what I think & what I want for my day, not how everybody else wanted/was doing. She always replied to emails so promptly & answered all my questions big and small. She knows everybody in the industry & really helped me save a lot of time and energy searching for vendors I could trust & work well with for the big day (planning a wedding with family far away& working full time was hard). She is so on point about everything and made our big day so smooth & hassle-free. We also hired her as our florist and that worked out well too. In short, hire Marylee!!!
Hiring Marylee was far and above the best decision we made for our wedding. We started with her day of coordinator package and bumped it up to one of her planner packages once we saw just how much work and time goes in to planning a wedding. She made everything feel manageable, organized, and fun from the very beginning. She took the time to understand our vision for the day and executed it flawlessly. She also did our florals and decor and they were just stunning, so far and above what we had imagined. Not only are she and her team so talented (special shout out to Tanya for helping the day run so smoothly), Marylee is genuinely one of the kindest people I have ever met. She has such an amazing attitude and brightens up your day whenever you talk to her. I am so thrilled we decided to use her for our wedding. Everyone always says something will go wrong on your wedding day and you’ll just have to roll with it, but I can say without any hesitation that was not our experience and I owe it to her.

She saved us so much time and money by being able to provide all these services with her team! When I first booked Marylee Marmer Events months ago, I was impressed by Marylee's response time, professionalism, enthusiasm, attention to detail, and availability to answer questions, even in the early stages of planning. Their day-of coordination services begin with a planning meeting early on in the process to help you think through everything needed well in advance and set you up for success if you're planning your own wedding! Katie F. was my day-of lead coordinator and was such a joy to have around in the final venue walkthrough, rehearsal, and wedding day. She is cheery, helpful, and organized. She took the reins at the rehearsal to make sure everyone was on time during the processional (quite a feat with our song choice!!), and during wedding day somehow managed to be everywhere at once behind-the-scenes so that I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. It is so, so comforting to be able to leave all your hard work and months of planning in this team's capable hands and see the day you've dreamed about come to life!! Highly recommend!
We hired Marylee for our December Richmond wedding because of her extensive experience! We were planning from out of state and Marylee reassured us every step of the way.
Even though we hired MME for the "Day Of" coordination, the prep really does start months in advance. Marylee met with us multiple times on zoom to help plan out our wedding. She was truly on "our team" and locked in to the details of our wedding. She was incredibly responsive on email and gave multiple vendor recommendations.
Being from out of state it was SO helpful to rent décor from MME and have her team handle some of the florals of my wedding too so that I didn't have to purchase and transport.
On the day of our wedding Marylee was calm, concise and on top of it. We had audio issues that resulted in timeline problems with our DJ and our venue fell short of what we expected from them, but Marylee handled everything given the situation and made sure that Plan B for our day was executed and no one noticed anything wrong.
I'm so glad I hired Marylee for my wedding day. She is so kind, a true professional with an incredible wealth of knowledge and on top of her game! Thank you Marylee!

She literally took the stress out of my day (since I chose to plan my own wedding) so that I could be in the moment and enjoy my wedding day. She would also check in on me throughout the months before my wedding. Katie was so sweet, attentive and detail oriented. She handled the vendors for me, flower arrangements, all of my guests and family, anything I needed or asked for she was on it. My day was perfect and went so smoothly, she made sure of it. Do yourself a favor and hire a day of coordinator but not just anyone, hire Katie. Worth every penny.

She had our back every step of the way! When we told vendors we were working with her they literally squealed with delight! She’s that good. We hired her for partial planning and floral design, and she made it so we never had to worry about a thing. She has a great selection of small rentals, and also gave really helpful tips that saved us money. My bouquet and flowers were gorgeous & even better than I envisioned. I really can’t say enough nice things about her. Hire her, you won’t regret it!
As someone who dreads the idea of event planning, I am here to tell you that you NEED a Marylee in your life! We just cannot stop talking about how much fun we had and how much we loved our wedding, and that was 100% able to happen because Marylee and her team lifted the entire world of planning stress & hosting anxiety off our shoulders. We felt so taken care of - not just on the wedding day but throughout the whole process. I'd love to include all the last-minute issues and forgotten details that popped up on the day of our wedding, but I can't think of a single one because Marylee's team is THAT good. They did so much vendor coordination and troubleshooting behind-the-scenes that we never had to think about, and made our wedding absolutely perfect. Marylee has such an amazing gift and we feel so lucky to have had her team guide us every step of the way.
Marylee was such a great florist and wedding coordinator. Her attitude and presence is literally like sunshine, you can truly tell she loves what she does. I interviewed with several florists and wedding planners and there was just something about Marylee that drew me in and i’m so thankful it did. She always answered my questions via email within a few hours. In addition, I forgot all about cake flowers until the week before and she was able to quickly add that on. However the day of the wedding is where she truly shined though. We had originally planned a nice outdoor wedding with beautiful fountain florals, but a few days before we saw it was going to thunderstorm and we had to change plans. She then put those flowers into other things the day of to make them look even better. The day of I could truly tell she did everything she could to try and get my wedding to be outside like we had planned for for an entire year. Unfortunately the weather didn’t hold up and we had to go with our backup option of underneath our tent. She and her team were able to quickly take everything down outside and set everything back up under the tent and as if that weren’t enough to deal with they also had to deal with the flash flood that happened under the tent with the rain literally right before the ceremony. I can honestly say that I don’t think anyone else would have succeeded with how much she was able to do for me and my husband that day. I will be recommending her to all my friends who need a wedding planner in the future.

From our first meeting with Marylee her enthusiasm and passion absolutely shone through and we really, really loved that about her. Anytime we had a question, even if it had to be repeated because we forgot the answer, she was always patient with us and extremely quick with responses or anything we needed. Her guidance in our most stressful moments in the planning process was extremely comforting and so, so helpful. The florals she put together for us and consulted us on were P E R F E C T !!! They were a great price too. Everything was so beautifully matched together and arranged, I still cannot get over my gorgeous bouquet. The flower placement on the cake was absolutely stunning as well!
And as for Katie?? What can I say about her except for WOW! I cannot believe how she was seemingly in all places at all times we needed her on our wedding day. She kept everything running incredibly smoothly, was patient with ourselves and our guests, and despite inevitable hiccups in the night made sure that the brides focused on the most important thing - Celebrating our wedding! And Katie getting our meal plates to us before the mingling began and we completely lost track of the time?? Holy cow - absolute game changer. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Katie for being the true MVP of our wedding day.

Marylee Marmer is a fantastic wedding coordinator! My wedding was delayed for over a year due to the pandemic, and she made coordinating a new date with all of my vendors a much less stressful process. She always offered expert advice, and calmed any worries I had. You want Marylee as a coordinator for your wedding--it's definitely not her first rodeo and she knows how to make a wedding run smoothly and helps to create your vision! Highly recommend!!! We did florals, day of coordination, chair rentals and signage with Marylee, and everything was exactly as I envisioned. She and her team did an incredible job, and I'm so happy with how it turned out! These ladies keep their cool under pressure and are super organized, I felt lucky to have them during the final few days of wedding planning and day of! Being able to get so many services from one vendor also made my life so much easier!! Worth every penny!
We worked with Marylee and Katie for day of coordination and floral design. I can't say enough how helpful it was having Katie there the day of. We could relax knowing our vendors were taken care of which was great. She kept the whole show running on time and we got a lot of compliments from guests for how well organized it all felt. Beyond that Katie was everywhere that night and knew where everything was at all times. (Including my sneakers when I desperately needed out of heels)
The floral design was also incredible. My bouquet was STUNNING. The rest of the décor and flowers were exactly what we wanted and then some. Our whole experience was amazing.
Calling Marylee and Katie coordinators seems to lack justice. They are miracle workers, magicians, life savers. While we thought we had it all planned out in the months leading up to it, we could not have anticipated how much Marylee and Katie filled in missing gaps and smoothened rough edges. It was the best day of our lives, and it was their passion for this craft that made it so full of gorgeousness and beauty and cosmopolitanism and love. Speaking specifically on our wedding day, Katie seemed to be anywhere and everywhere that was needed, whether the situation was expected or not. She was there to guide, to troubleshoot, to offer advice and gentle words, and to help us be present. I love the way that she made my family feel safe, comfortable, and assured. Katie is truly special. Marylee was highly responsive despite how busy she had been and always made it easy to communicate and ask (a million) questions. I’ll never love another, I’ll never marry again— but I hope that there is another wedding I attend where I can witness these two working their magic, as it is truly something to experience. Truly the best there is.
Marylee Marmer Events was absolutely a dream to work with. She always had a direction to point us in and extremely helpful advice through wedding planning. Then Marylee took our vision for our flowers and designed the perfect blend. The bouquets for the bridesmaids were absolutely beautiful. Along with my personal bouquet. The guys boutonnières were just as adorable as well. We were so blessed to have Marylee Marmer and her team on our side for our big day. We could not have done it without them.
Loved our experience! Marylee and team kept my on track with my planning and shared helpful advice whenever I was unsure of what I needed to do. She created a clear timeline for our bridal party and was also just so sweet and put me at ease right away from our very first meeting. On the day of I felt so thankful to have them there to keep things running smoothly, especially when a guest had a medical emergency and they made sure adjustments were made to timeline and also that that person was OK.

We tasked her with making beautiful bouquets, boutonnières, wristlets, bridesmaid floral hoops and the full decor for our day and she did not disappoint! We were blown away with every single piece she created. Everything was thoughtful and absolutely perfect for our vibe. We can’t say enough great things about Marylee!!
We cannot thank Marylee and her team enough for being such an integral part of our wedding. Great experience with Marylee. I did not think we'd need a planner, but it really came in handy, especially towards the end. So helpful to have someone else deal with multiple vendors. She was great with creating a timeline for the day of, keeping everyone focused and made the day go so smoothly! very punctual, responsive to emails, calls etc. I really enjoyed working with someone who's genuinely nice, inclusive, and professional.

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about Marylee and her team! A friend of mine referred Marylee Marmer events to me to do both my florals and month of coordination and it was one of the best decisions we made! First of all, Marylee and Andrea (the planner we worked with) have the most calming presence. They are incredibly sweet and also know exactly what they are doing. Every time I met with them, for floral consultation, final venue walk through, and rehearsal, I immediately felt at ease. Marylee did my florals and I was truly BLOWN AWAY. I had no idea what I wanted, but through her guided questions, we were able to brain storm the perfect bouquets and floral pieces for our wedding (not to mention her price was way better than all competitors!!!) Once our walk through and rehearsal came along, Andrea took care of all the details. Even when rain was forecasted for our wedding day, she coordinated everything and the ceremony was even more beautiful inside than it would have been outside. Andrea and Marylee did such a wonderful job making us feel comfortable and confident in our decisions. We didn't have to worry about a thing and had the most laid back and fun wedding day. I cannot begin to express how much we loved working with Marylee Marmer and her staff for our wedding and florals. Even though our wedding was small (30 people) we decided early on that we wanted a coordinator. Let me tell you, it was the best decision we made! From start to finish they were personable, professional and available for every little question we had. The price point for the coordination and florals was very reasonable. Marylee worked with us and our budget so we never felt like we were sacrificing anything.
We went with the Month Of Planning-Level 2 package since our wedding was on the smaller size. Our coordinator Katie was phenomenal!! There were a lot of nerves going into our wedding day since it was an outdoor ceremony and there was a high chance of rain. We really wanted to have our ceremony outside and Katie went out of her way to make sure our dreams came true. She ran around in the rain directing people, drying chairs and keeping the whole thing running smoothly. The rain stopped right on time for our ceremony and a small part of me swears she made sure it would. She is a force of nature!! On top of all that she also set up the florals and decor for our reception. She truly made our vision come to life. Soft candles, white flowers and greenery-it felt like we were walking into a spa. Our guests still talk about it! Katie made sure we were happy and stress free at every turn on our big day.

If I could convince a couple to choose any vendor for their wedding, it’d be Marylee Marmer Events. In fact, before our wedding even happened, I convinced a friend of mine who is engaged to book with them! Working with Marylee and Andrea was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding. We ended up working with them for two years because we had postponed our wedding due to COVID.
In that time, they were our advocates when we needed them and they gave us advice when we asked for it. There are so many little decisions you’ll make when it comes to wedding planning that it’s helpful to have someone in your corner who’s done this before. Andrea and Marylee were so kind but also gave us confidence they would deal with any issues as they came up. They absolutely delivered. Andrea and Marylee truly put us at ease and they know how to get sh*t done. That’s exactly when anyone needs in a planner or coordinator. Andrea coordinated on the day of our wedding and completely rocked it. Everyone commented about how on top of it she was. We couldn’t agree more. From working with her up until our day, we knew she would be amazing.
Are you also thinking about florals? We originally shopped around at different places for flowers and ended up booking Marylee for florals too. Not only was it convenient, Marylee gave us the fairest price and she is so skilled at what she does. Marylee put no pressure on us to book with her but at the end of the day, it was totally the right call. My flowers came out GORGEOUS. They were better than I could have imagined (and believe me, I sent her about 1,000 Pinterest pictures). She took it all in stride, and everything was beautiful.

Marylee and Andrea took my daughter's vision and created the most beautiful romantic garden wedding. Marylee met with us several times over the course of two years and provided month of planning, day of coordination and the gorgeous florals. One of the many commpliments we received were about the amazing florals on the tables and the bouquets. When we first started planning, my daughter wanted a hanging chandelier. Marylee really took the time to listen to what the bride wanted and created a beautiful greenery hanging chandelier. Knowing that Marylee and her team were taking care of every detail took the stress out of the day and enabled us to enjoy every moment! We can't thank them enough for the most perfect day!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Shelby and Marylee Marmer Events. My husband and I were forced to replan our wedding within 2 months of the event due to COVID-19. We downsized and shifted venues, and that came with significant stress associated with working with a venue and staff who was less experienced with weddings. More changes were made to the logistics and the layout of the wedding the week of than I had ever anticipated, and Shelby helped to not only guide me through the process, but also offload the communication with the venue and the rest of my vendors. The day of, several things needed to be adjusted related to weather and decor, and she just made it all happen and made sure everything looked beautiful. I always knew I wanted a day-of coordinator to help offload the stress of coordination on my day-of, but I didn't appreciate how important she would be in making sure the day came together and in alleviating my stress the week of - even my husband commented on the change in my stress level when Shelby got involved. Shelby and Marylee Marmer Events truly saved the day. Worth every penny and more!!

I first want to start by saying Marylee and her team are absolutely amazing! The entire planning process was so stress free and amazing. Even from a state away Marylee always made me feel so at ease when it came to planning. Shoutout to Andrea for making our wedding run smoothly and flawlessly! Girl I saw you lugging those decorative gourds from the ceremony site to the reception and I APPRECIATE that! Not to mention the hundreds of other things I'm sure you did to help make our night the best it could be, that I didn't even see. I am not the best at communicating but Marylee and her team helped us figure everything out, and worked with our vendors (seamlessly, as far as I could tell!). It was nice to have someone there to take the load off my maid of honor and be another set of hands to help set up/take down.
Marylee was easily the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding. She is professional, kind, and great at all aspects of her job. She was a wonderful resource throughout the planning process even though we chose her as our day of coordinator. We had our ceremony in the same room as our reception so her and her team only had an hour to flip the room for dinner and the room looked stunning. She executed all of my plans perfectly and remembered every detail that we had discussed during planning meetings. She also provided florals for our event. The bouquets far exceeded my expectations and the table arrangements were exactly what I had imagined. She did an INCREDIBLE job with the florals for an extremely fair price. Marylee in absolute MUST for your wedding day. She goes above and beyond. I just got married this past weekend, and she was there for me every step of the way. Always checking in on me, making sure if I needed anything at all. She also was always in contact with my other vendors, and made sure if anyone needed anything to contact her. She also did my florals for my wedding and OH MY GOSH!! Everything I dreamed of and more! I was so in love with everything. From our rehearsal to our wedding day, I never felt more at ease! She is so on top of things! I never had to worry! Then to top it all off, she took food and desserts up to our hotel room for us AND sprinkled rose petals in our room and made a heart shape on our bed! It doesn’t get any better than Marylee! We worked with Marylee and Jaclyn to help us put together our August 18th wedding at Maymont and they were just an absolute dream team! Living in Washington state and trying to plan a Richmond wedding seemed like a daunting process at first, but all of my worries were totally relieved once Marylee stepped in. She walked me through the logistics and flow of the evening, making it a seamless event.
On the day of, we were supported by Jaclyn who was organized, friendly to everyone, and so professional. From troubleshooting and successfully avoiding a potential transportation fiasco, fixing the maid of honor’s dress, getting a sick guest home, keeping us on a timeline, and reminding me to eat all with grace and a smile on her face, she was the perfect go to person. I was so at ease and comfortable with her and really regret not having more time with her to chat her up about her amazing Harry Potter phone case.
After everything was said and done, Marylee and Jaclyn made sure to save a forgotten hanky and brooch (memories of lost loved ones,) to mail back to me in Washington knowing how important those items were to me.
Without these two I don’t know how we could have done it, and I am so forever grateful for their professionalism and kindness. 10/10 would enthusiastically recommend!
Marylee was so incredibly helpful throughout my planning process and definitely during the wedding itself! My wedding day went seamlessly, at least from my perspective, and I was able to fully enjoy the day. I think my parents, being the MOB & FOB, had also expected that they would have a lot more responsibilities that day but they too were able to relax and not stress during the wedding. Marylee made sure to check in with us throughout the evening and really took care of all the details so that we could have fun.

We just celebrated our wedding at the Virginia Cliffe Inn this past Friday and Marylee and her crew were awesome!! From the very beginning of our planning process, Marylee was very responsive to any questions we had and had very timely responses to all our emails. She made sure my husband and I were taken care of for the night and we did not stress one detail knowing Marylee had complete control. I used Marylee Marmer Events to be my day of coordinator for my wedding on 12/16/17. I waited a little later than most to book them, 2 months before my wedding, which was kind of stressful, but Marylee assured me and my mom that everything would be fine. I met with Marylee in person 3 times and emailed her several more times and she was always able to accommodate my schedule, respond promptly to all my questions, and keep me on track. On the day of the wedding, Marylee and her team helped with set-up (rearranging tables/decor), clean-up (clearing tables & packing up at the end of the night), and making sure everything was on time and perfect. My husband and I were so impressed. He called her the "sweet, southern ninja" because she was constantly making sure we had enough food during dinner, and drinks throughout the night. This was such a blessing and we barely even noticed she was there!! Our guests were so impressed with Marylee and her team as well and commented on how she would offer to refill their drinks and take away dinner plates with which they were finished. Marylee and her team of amazing professionals helped make our wedding flow so smoothly. I would recommend her highly to anyone in need of a wedding coordinator. Marylee Marmer Events also offers other services such as floral arrangements, centerpieces, linens, etc. which I am sure are excellent if you need those as well!

Marylee is amazing with planning, communication, flower design, keeping everyone calm and on track. Marylee is the perfect, and must have choice for any wedding.
