Maudie's Tex-Mex

We hired Maudie's Tex-Mex for my son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner very recently. Wow! They did an amazing job! Everyone went on and on about how great the food was. The server was incredibly attentive and friendly. She walked around and constantly cleared tables and asked if we needed anything. She even sliced cakes that we brought in and set them out for guests. I would highly recommend Maudie's!!

We LOVED working with Maudie’s for our wedding day! Maya, Rachael, and their team truly went above and beyond to make sure that our special day was executed seamlessly and that our guests were well taken care of. From the moment we engaged Maudie’s for a quote, the team was extremely responsive and worked with us to curate the menu we wanted. When we needed to make adjustments to our headcount or account for new dietary restrictions, they were quick to accommodate and never made us feel like a bother. Maya and Rachael both attended our final walk-through at our venue because they wanted to make sure that they familiarized themselves with the space and were confident going into our event. The food was INCREDIBLE - our favorites were the Avocado Bisque with Shrimp appetizer and the Beef Fajitas entrée. That said, everything from the passed mini quesadillas, to the chips & guacamole that came with every plate, to the late-night breakfast tacos were absolutely delicious. Everyone loved it and many commented how full they were. The Maudie’s staff that worked our wedding definitely stood out to our guests. We received numerous compliments from our friends and family about how nice the caterers were. The team was efficient when passing appetizers, moved swiftly to serve everyone dinner, and was extremely diligent about clearing plates and trash throughout the night. They packed to-go boxes for me and my husband, for which we were exceptionally grateful at the end of the night! The Maudie’s team was professional, experienced, efficient, and KIND. We had zero issues leading up to our event and our wedding was executed beyond our expectations. I would HIGHLY recommend Maudie’s and am hopeful to attend many more events with them in the future!

Maudies was so easy to work with! From the very beginning we knew we wanted Tex-Mex for our wedding, and Maudie’s made it happen! Their booking process was so easy. They stayed in contact throughout the months leading up to the wedding. The week of the wedding we had a phone call to ensure everything was ready. Day of the staff was INCREDIBLE. Everything was so organized, the food was delicious and the staff was so friendly. We are so happy we chose Maudie’s!

Maudie's was so great to work with and the food was delicious! They were very involved in the planning process and everything went smoothly at the wedding. I'm vegetarian, and I have friends/family who are vegetarian or have food allergies, and they took all of this very seriously, which I appreciated. They had separate allergy plate for my grandma and they made sure the vegetarians got a REAL meal! We love eating at Maudies, and their catering services are excellent.

Working with Maudie's to cater my wedding was literally a dream. From day 1 their team was responsive, helpful and in control. One thing that stood out in our initial conversation was choosing appetizer selections - when given the opportunity to upsell me, their team was honest about which appetizers they've seen be successful at events and helped me save money and stay within budget. Every email was met with a prompt and helpful response. The day-of was smooth and seamless - their staff was punctual, professional and delightful to be around. We got so many compliments about the bar and the food. Maudies really cares about the experience of their couples - they packed my husband and I to-go containers of fajitas and cake to enjoy after our wedding. Additionally, they did not charge extra for vendor meals! Maudies was delightful to work with and helped make my wedding day a dream come true. I highly encourage you to book them if you want a high-quality, budget-friendly, professional catering option for your wedding celebration!

We used Maudie's as a full-service caterer for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. Maya and Laila were so easy to work with and were responsive from the time of our initial outreach all the way until the wedding day. They helped provide recommendations along the way and helped to make accommodations for our wedding guests that had different food allergies and dietary restrictions. The food and margaritas were a huge hit and we still have wedding guests talking about them. We would absolutely choose Maudie's again for any catering needs!

The food was INCREDIBLE. We already loved Maudie's, but I think this was the best taste experience we've ever had with them. All of our guests were raving about it. We wanted a pescatarian menu and they were wonderfully accommodating. Our guests had the option of cheee enchiladas, blackened Mahi Mahi tacos, or grilled shrimp fajitas. We as did a queso bar and tostadas during cocktail hour. We reached out to many of the recommended caterers at our venue and Maudie's was also the most accommodating to our budget. You can tell that they look forward to this being a wonderful day for the couple getting married and my husband and I really appreciated that. We will be "lifers" at the restaurant and will use them again when we need food catered. Thank you to Laila and Maya for all your hard work!

The Maudie’s team did such a wonderful job. Laila and Maya made the booking so easy. I changed the menu multiple times, and they were so wonderful about changing it for me each time. The catering team at the venue was fabulous! They made sure my husband and I were well taken care of. The food was amazing as well! We got lots of compliments on the menu. I would highly recommend the mini tacos for appetizers, those went FAST and guests LOVED them!

The food from Maudie's was incredible! This is a fantastic choice for anyone who loves tex-mex. It also provides a great range of food for people with gluten allergies or for vegetarian guests. The service was amazing and we had no issues. You can't go wrong using Maudie's to cater your wedding!

AMAZING service, INCREDIBLE pricing, and DELICIOUS food!! Please book this vendor for your wedding, they were SOOOOO easy to work with and worked very well with our wedding planner. The food was so good and even if you do not book with them, at least go eat at one of their restaurants!!

We used Maudie's for our wedding buffet. We did chicken and steak fajitas. Our guests loved the food and we had several asking us where it was from!! We had Maudie's fix our plates and they were fixed exactly how we requested and right on time. Laila was wonderful to work with and when we did our venue walk through she put so many of my nerves at ease with how knowledgeable she was about set-up and covering all our bases. She even provided us with recommendations for how much alcohol and sodas to purchase for our guest count since we choose to buy that on our own. ALSO the bartenders were wonderful! I asked one of the bartenders if they could set aside the specific flavors I liked and she not only did that but greeted me post-ceremony with one of the drinks! Also, they helped clean up a few spills on the dancefloor easily!! Would highly recommend Maudie's!!!!

Maudie's had amazing food and we had more than enough for everyone. I also really enjoyed working with Maya and Laila. They made sure we had everything we needed including my special request for having extra bean and cheese tacos for myself and the groom.

Excellent food! It was not quite Tex Mex, but I love traditional Mexican! They did exactly as we asked and went even beyond what we asked. Laila always answered our questions and made sure we were good to go in every way. The servers made the whole process seemless and we did not have to worry about a thing.

I feel like this place is not used enough! Everyone LOVED the food. Our cocktail hour was quesadillas and chips and queso. Dinner was Fajitas and enchiladas. They supplied bartenders that executed my signature cocktails. They fed all the vendors. People continued to ask me where this place was after the fact. Great Texmex and easy to work with!

Maudie's catered our wedding, and they did an INCREDIBLE job! The food was so amazingly good, and since most of our guests were from out of town they loved having Tex-Mex. All the staff was so friendly to our guests and numerous people made friends with the bartenders throughout the night since they were so friendly and accommodating! They were extremely organized and even though the weather was crazy throughout the night of our wedding they were flexible and made many last minute decisions about food and service. Cannot recommend them enough!

We got married at Canyonwood Ridge in Dripping Springs and I cannot say enough good things about this caterer. The food was DELICIOUS and the price was amazing. We had chicken and beef fajitas and the rice, salsa, chips, and chicken were phenomenal. I would recommend Maudies to ANYONE who has an event coming up

Maya was in charge of our wedding catering and she was great! She made the whole things easy and affordable. The food was decent; it was a simple menu for our budget, which is exactly what we needed and were grateful to have found it with Maudie's. Maya was so sweet and understanding in accommodating every little change we needed, and even took on an extra workload to help make it wall work!

I am so glad that we selected Maudie's as our caterer. Maudie's was very accommodating during the planning process and really helped me make sure that everything was well planned. At the reception, they made sure that everything ran smoothly and that my husband and I had food at our table as soon as we finished our first dance. They kept the tables clear all night and the food was great! They even made sure that we had food and cake in our bridal suite (on property at our venue) at the end of the night and that all extra food and cake went with the bridal party. We could not have asked for a smoother catering experience!

Our experience with Maudies was all around fantastic! Their catering manager knew all of the right questions to ask to make sure the bar services, cocktail hour snacks, and dinner were just as we imagined. They even packed us a little to-go container for our honeymoon and made sure our other vendors were fed. And of course, everything tasted great!

I can’t recommend Maudie’s highly enough! As we were prepping for our wedding last November, we found out that our original food vendor was going out of business just one month before our big day (!!!!) and were able to book Maudie’s on such short notice without a problem. The fajita bar was fantastic and we received countless compliments on everything that was served. The service was outstanding and they did a thorough walkthrough with us ahead of the wedding to make sure they understood all of our preferences and expectations. The bartenders were also great! If you’re thinking about having Tex Mex food at you’re wedding, you absolutely can’t go wrong with Maudie’s!

Seriously the BEST food ever. We did a taco bar from Maudie's and it was SPECTACULAR. They were SUPER REASONABLY priced, had GREAT customer service and the food and service on the day of the wedding was PERFECT. I will continue to eat at their restaurants and suggest EVERYONE book Maudie's for your special day!!

We used the fajita buffet for our wedding and it was delicious and perfect. We also used their bartenders. The staff was awesome through and through and everything was set up perfectly. We had a lot of out of town guests so giving them a delicious Tex Mex meal was a great choice. They also helped cut and set out our cake and appetizers, neither of which were provided by them so that was awesome as far as service goes. We really had a great experience working with Maya and Laila with Maudie's. Maudie's came highly recommended from our Coordinator and they did not disappoint.

Everyone looooved the taco bar! Seriously we got so many compliments. You can't go wrong with tacos and queso for an Austin wedding! :)

Laila and Maya were my favorite vendors to work with during our wedding planning! They helped me stay sane and answered every single question in a timely manner and then delivered the best food and service on the day of our wedding. They even took the time to mail us our wedding cake server set after it was accidentally picked up in all the chaos of packing after the event. I highly recommend Maudie's for all catering needs.

Maudie’s was perfect - they made the catering for our wedding so easy and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for more. We had them serve our food (delish fajitas for dinner, with chips & queso for apps), and used their bartenders to serve our alcohol as well. So many of our guests made it a point to tell us how friendly and funny our servers & bartenders were, and how amazing the food was. A few even told us it was the best food they ever ate at a wedding (score!). The catering team at Maudie’s was also so communitiave and responsive throughout our time working with them. And they’re super affordable to boot! So much bang for your buck. Would highly recommend their catering services for your wedding / event!!!

I can’t recommend Maudie’s enough as a caterer for your wedding! They went over and above what I expected from a restaurant catering company. First off, they gave us a gift card to come to restaurant and test out the potential menu items. We decided on the mixed Fajitas, which were a huge hit at the wedding! All the food is delicious TexMex, great after an afternoon of drinks. The tortilla chips and salsa were great too. They also provide gluten free options at a very reasonable cost. In addition to great food, the service was phenomenal. We had a small budget and were DIYing everything else at the wedding. We organized our own appetizers, wine and beer from Costco and mixed up the Bride & Groom drinks ourselves in a serving pitcher. Maudie’s were more than happy to help organize items they didn’t cook, setting up our appetizer spread, handing out water bottles we had customized and their bartenders served all of our BYO drinks. They supplied all the ice, fixings and cups. At the end of they night they even took over cutting our cake for us and handing out everything. I had very little knowledge of what to request from a catering company and Maya and Laila were great at making sure I knew all available options and covering all the bases. They did a spectacular job at cleaning the venue after and working with our venue that didn’t have a dumpster. The servers & bartender were so pleasant and friendly, making sure we (Bride & Groom) never went without a drink in our hand and bringing the buffet items directly to our sweetheart table. We provided very little direction and they made our wedding go off without a hitch! Honestly, if you are looking at catering and have a tight budget, the team at Maudie’s is great to work with. I bet they would have done a fantastic job at providing the appetizers and booze themselves too.

All of our family and friends LOVED the food! Especially the out of state guests who do not get great Mexican food where they live! Thanks again for everything! It was perfect and affordable!

So. Yummy. My husband and I wanted to have fajitas at the wedding as with the many dietary restrictions of our friends and family, it was the perfect way to have something that everyone could eat. The food and staff were amazing. They were beyond helpful the day of, and setting everything up prior to the wedding day. Maudie's also gave us the leftover food and it was a great way to have all our friends and family over again to rehash the wedding and eat the delicious food again. Thank you Maudie's!!!

Totally recommend Maudie's Catering. They were so easy to work with, responsive, and reasonably priced. We got so many compliments on the food and the servers and bartenders were great. We had plenty of food and everyone left full and happy.

Laila and Maya with Maudie's catering team are absolutely fabulous! They were super responsive, and happy to answer any and all questions I had (which was A LOT) throughout the process. They helped us come up with the perfect menu, and did everything in their power to make sure our wedding day went off without a hitch! The food and the service were both phenomenal, and our guests raved about it! Our catering lead, Emily, was so kind, and made sure that not only my husband and I were taken care of and well-fed, but she went out of her way to find my mom towards the end of the night and got her some coffee, because she knew the coffee and hot tea station was my mom's request. A big thank you to Maudie's for going above and beyond! Highly recommend!

Maudie's did a fantastic job catering our wedding! Everyone loved the taco bar and we received a lot of complements on the food. Laila and Maya were great to work with and very helpful. The price is also very affordable, which is hard to find in wedding catering. I highly recommend using Maudie's!

Laila was great changing the original plans to exactly what we needed, and her staff was amazing day of! Everything flowed perfectly and the food was AMAZING!

Although we did not use Maudie's full catering service, we placed a pickup order at Maudie's Too to serve 44 people at the rehearsal dinner. We had a fajita nacho bar, enchiladas, rice, beans, guacamole, queso, pico, chips, and salsa. We even purchased Maudie's delicious Margarita mix for the frozen machine. All of the food was excellent and Maudie's even provided a lot of extras such as fresh cut limes, serving utensils, bowls, etc. Laila, with Maudie's catering service, gave us good advice and we were able to hire two service professionals that helped with set up, clean up, and restocking the buffet and beverages. We were very pleased with the outcome and the quality of the food and received lots of compliments from our guests.
