Salmon and tri-tip were truly exceptional and were enjoyed by all of our guests. In particular, I have to mention the rice pilaf, which had such a great flavor and really complemented the main dishes perfectly. But it wasn't just the food that made our experience so memorable. Your service was truly fantastic, and you and your team went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. From the setup to the cleanup, you were professional, courteous, and attentive, and it made all the difference in the world. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service and food that you provided. You helped make our wedding day truly unforgettable, and I will always be grateful for that. I found Melrose Catering on the KNOT and I am so glad I did. We got married in my parents backyard, so we had to build everything from the ground up. Enter Stephen at Melrose. They work with a company called Rustic Yard Events who does rentals, Melrose staffed it, and seriously it was amazing. And most importantly, the food was to die for. Our guests are still raving about it. Stephen was so helpful to me throughout the process, and very responsive. I planned our wedding myself, so I had a lot of questions, and probably stupid questions, but he was so respectful and honestly helped guide me on what we needed. If we had 1 small critique, it would be that bartenders they provided were not really bartenders. Luckily I had some friends who knew how to tap a keg properly, so we got it fixed pretty quickly and they showed his team how to open a bottle of wine, but that is my only teeny tiny complaint. Everything was so great, and I cannot recommend them enough. THANK YOU TEAM MELROSE!

I have been catering events for over 23 years and I have had the privilege to work with so many wonderful couples. What an honor to be apart of their special day. When couples choose us, I make sure I answer all of their emails and phone calls same business day. I take pride in sharing my knowledge and experience with my couples. I enjoy what I do because at the end of the day, when I leave a wedding and see the smiles on my Bride and Groom's face it is so rewarding.

ccessful event. Stephen and Melrose Catering was the right caterer for us. We chose Melrose Catering because of their extensive and diverse menu, even including vegan and children entree choices. Stephen was "hands on", answering emails and text messages immediately. With 25 years experience, he knew exactly the proper insight and support an overwhelmed bride needed to get to the big day. We had many positive reviews of the delicious entrees and their service was first rate. We highly recommend Stephen and Melrose Catering for any event you may be planning.

the wedding when our reception venue could no longer host us due to COVID restrictions. The food tasting was phenomenal and all of the food from the salad and appetizers to the main course were very delectable. On the day of the wedding, the team was able to prep the food into individualized boxes and even had both choices of meat - fish and tri tip - in the same box so every guest can each have them to eat! We thank you so much for making our wedding day amazing! Our wedding guests enjoyed the food!

Stephen of Melrose Catering and Carlos of A Rental Connection are truly exceptional to work with – they are helpful, patient, kind, enthusiastic, flexible and knowledgeable. We are so thankful for their guidance and for their detail-oriented, timely communication. Our Melrose Catering tasting was also an amazing experience – all of the dishes were so delicious and beautifully prepared that it made it difficult to choose, but we are confident that all of 180 guests will be thrilled. The chef is remarkable. We look forward to continuing to work together through our wedding weekend in Spring 2021!

ue and that I would need to find a new venue. This happened about 3wks before my wedding! I notified Melrose Catering via email and phone call to see if they could help! I was hoping they would consider refunding me my deposit or at least a partial refund to help offset the extra charges I was going to incur, but this favor fell on deaf ears! As they couldn’t even return my calls or emails. We ended up booking with the University Club of Pasadena which has their own in house catering. I would understand if I cancelled for no reason or decided to use a different catering company/vendor. I had no choice as I had about 3weeks to figure things out and book a new venue. I even asked to talk to the owner and my emails and phone calls went unanswered and unreturned. I understand they are business but they had two other events the same day! It was not like they weren’t going to make money. My venue even offered them future jobs doubling what I was going to spend with Melrose. My original venue was willing to put it in writing. Paula seemed so unconcerned. So disappointed in her!!! She sells you and tells you it’s a family run business and they are there to help! So disappointed. Do not use them. Avoid Melrose. Zero understanding or compassion!

t planning an enjoyable experience for all of our clients As you know our original plan was to cater your wedding at the venue in Pasadena. You signed the contract and paid our deposit. After that we tried to contact you in order to set up a site-visit at the venue. We had not received a response despite several phone calls and emails from our office team. Finally it was brought to our attention that you would be unable to have your wedding there. The venue itself did not file the required permits with the City of Pasadena to host an event. After hearing this unfortunate news, we made numerous attempts to contact you for direction regarding how you wanted to proceed. We certainly would have been happy to serve your guests at any venue had this been communicated to us. On October the 10th (9 days prior to your event) your coordinator (who we had no prior communication with at this point) finally contacted us to say our services were no longer needed. You had found a new venue – but unfortunately you had to use their in-house catering. Yes we are an independent family business. However all catering companies must have basic contracts and deposits to protect themselves from financial loss in the event of last-minute cancellations. Please consider that by the time your new coordinator attempted to default on your contract via cancellation, we had already purchased the food and supplies required for your event. With little over a week to go, your wedding had been fully planned and staffed as well. And we turned down another 200+ guest event since we thought this date was fully booked. We absolutely sympathize with the horrible situation your venue left you to deal with due to their own negligence. And we hope the venue compensated you accordingly. We sincerely hope your wedding day was a wonderful experience. And we regret not being able to be a part of your family’s special day.

t Justina and Nour were so incredibly helpful and generous in selecting our dishes! Their selection from the menu is amazing and there is no doubt that each item tastes as wonderful as it looked! We decided on several dishes including: the Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, and Apple Grilled Cheese, Swedish Meatballs, Chicken Empanadas, and Pepper Jack and Pesto Spring Rolls. Each dish was loved by our guests and the presentation completed it all. Also, thank you to Michael for doing an amazing job in transporting and serving the dishes with a smile! nd set up a tasting appointment. They were responsive and we were able to find a time that worked with all of our schedules. We tried 6-7 hors d'oeuvres, two main entrees, bread, and salad as part of our tasting. They were all so delicious it was tough choosing which ones we wanted at our wedding. We ended up getting the bruschetta and chicken empanadas for our tray-passed hors d'oeuvres and the short rib & salmon for our main entrees. All of our wedding guests only had positive things to say about the food! We are so thankful we chose Melrose because we definitely wanted to have delicious and memorable food at our wedding and Melrose was able to do just that :) Not to mention, Laura worked hand in hand with our rental company to ensure we had all of the rentals we needed. This relieved stress on our part because it was one less vendor to deal with. Laura and her team were all very professional on the day of the wedding. They were prompt, reliable, and friendly. We are thankful we could work with Laura because she is patient, understanding, and flexible to our needs. We will definitely keep Melrose in mind for any other catering events!

uick to respond to emails and she nailed our sophisticated fiesta menu. The appetizers were delicious- we had the quesadillas, empanadas and stuffed mushrooms and the chicken entree topped off with a mango relish is still being talked about. Laura was also very thorough and asked questions that we hadn't even thought of which helped us plan for a better event. She gave us her honest opinion on things and had a great crew working for her on the day of our wedding. The staff was quick, almost invisible, very helpful, and above all, friendly! Laura was also very sweet and comforting and made us feel at ease working with her. We chose Melrose above the other vendors partly because of this and also the price. Melrose gave us more bang for our buck and the food was even better than other vendors with a higher price tag. Excellent deal and they exceeded our expectations and made our guests very happy. On top of that, they really cared for the other vendors. Laura made sure all were fed and comfortable. Vendors are a HUGE part of the day and it was great that she also made sure to keep them happy. We appreciated all of the help and great service we were given by Melrose Catering. Thanks Melrose!

saw their entire vegan menu as well as themed buffets we were sold. The fact that the food was delicious didn't hurt either. We decided on a completely vegetarian Caribbean themed buffet. Some of our guests are "die-hard" meat eaters and they raved about the food. Laura was very easy to work with in the entire planning process and it was obvious she had our best interests at heart. Her staff was punctual, professional and very friendly. They made our entire evening very enjoyable and fun. We didn't have to worry about a thing. We would definitely recommend them.
