Michael Arndt is the owner and founder of Michael David Films, a wedding photography business in Dallas, TX. Although he began his career as a professional singer and dancer, Michael transitioned to being behind the camera after he fell in love with documenting his travels around the world. Michael loves telling stories, and after obtaining a bachelor's degree in Animation and a master's in Instructional Design and Technology, he opened up Michael David Films. As a “people person” who also loves true love, Michael approaches each wedding day with the happy couple at the forefront of his thinking. He makes sure to take note of their interests, styles, and, above all else, their love story so far. Now, with more than a decade of experience working at wedding ceremonies and receptions, Michael knows when and how to capture the most important moments. He makes newlyweds feel unique, filming their energy and relationship so their video is truly reflective of what makes their union special. Although located primarily in Dallas, Michael David Films will travel wherever you need to go.

Since 2015, I’ve had the honor of capturing love stories in their most unforgettable moments; whether it’s a 700-guest celebration in a grand ballroom or an intimate backyard ceremony filled with quiet, powerful emotion. As a wedding photographer and videographer, I believe every couple’s story deserves to be told with authenticity, creativity, and heart. Beyond weddings, my lens has taken me behind the scenes of major productions for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Toyota Music Factory, and the 2022 Miss North Texas Competition. These opportunities have sharpened my eye for detail and deepened my ability to work under pressure while still producing cinematic, emotionally rich visuals. When I’m not documenting life’s milestones, I’m sharing my craft; mentoring and teaching the next generation of photographers and cinematographers. For me, this work isn’t just about images; it’s about storytelling, legacy, and the power of human connection.

Based on how chaotic the wedding was and the limited time we spent taking photos, I wasn’t sure what to expect but we already got our photos back from him (after only one week!) and WOW!!! We are so incredibly blown away with how amazing the photos look and all of the small special moments he managed to capture. f making each wedding video reflect on the couples personality, turn it into a movie, and pick up on all the little details that makes the video mean that much more. Watching my own highlight video I feel as though I’m watching a movie trailer and I’m in awe that it’s me, my day and my family. It’s almost better than I remember the day being. They've completely exceeded our expectations just. We would 100% recommend Ghost Light Studio. We are so thankful for the work they did.

talking it over with him I decided to go ahead and do it, and I’m so glad I did. If I had to choose between still photographs and the video he made of our wedding I would choose the video. He has such an expert eye for capturing the lighting and setting and editing the footage to bring you such a beautiful masterpiece full of memories to last a lifetime.
