Michelle Norwood is a fun, detail-oriented, dedicated, and powerful wedding planner in New Orleans. She was recently named best wedding planner by Harper’s Bazaar and I could not agree more. She is simply the best. The end. Planning a destination wedding during a pandemic is a nightmare, but Michelle was with us every step of the way as we had to pivot from our “dream” wedding. Since Michelle is so well-connected and knowledgeable about the wedding industry in New Orleans, the transition was very smooth. Our wedding day was magical and truly a DREAM come true despite the changes we made due to the pandemic. This is all because of Michelle. Her execution was flawless and still amazes me almost a year later. When our caterer walked out 3 weeks before the big day, Michelle handled the situation with power and poise. She was able to recover our deposit and find us a phenomenal caterer with 3 weeks notice. I truly cannot speak more highly of our experience with Michelle. We feel like we gained more than just a wedding planner, but also a friend.

My now husband and I, hired Michelle and her team to help us execute our destination wedding in New Orleans. After one phone call with her, I knew she was the planner for us. What can I say...we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by Michelle Norwood and her team! We would never have been able to have our dream wedding without her help. From our initial emails to then finding out our wedding was featured in Vogue, Michelle has been nothing short of exceptional. We are a couple based in London, who were adamant about having our wedding in New Orleans, after visiting once and Michelle made everything seamless and enjoyable! We didn't have any other contacts in New Orleans, so Michelle was our point of contact between every single vendor. We had specific requirements including wanting Southern BBQ food, daiquiris, and a courtyard wedding. We trusted Michelle and her team with every single detail. Ah Michelle, how do we love thee? Let me count the ways! Michelle indulged our every wish all while keeping our heads on straight. When my groom decided he wanted to ride in on a horse? Michelle got out there and found him horses. When we told her we needed a regale, multi tier cake with feathers? She found us the perfect cake shop. When we decided we needed Darth Vader and Two Stormtroopers to show up. She found and coordinated Darth and his Stormtroopers. It was a May 4th wedding. When we decided we needed Burlesque dancers? She made sure they showed up and showed out. And when we got shut down for a noise complaint, Michelle got the party rolling again. But there are so many other things. She is just a wonderful person who genuinely cares. My husband and I were able to focus on each other and not the nonsense. My guests were taken care of from start to finish. She will let you know when it’s time to worry and when everything is going to be fine. I have to say I was sad that after the wedding we wouldn’t be working together any longer. She’s just that good.

Michelle is the ultimate boss, wedding pro, and a gem of a human that you want to bring your wedding vision to life on this special day of your lives! How can I describe the feeling of how she saved the day repeatedly, stood by our side like family, and helped us bring our wedding vision to life? Our wedding was an absolute dream come true. I get tears in my eyes every time I think about it and how Michelle was the quarterback of it all! I was stressed with wedding planning and she came at the exact right time with the level of support I needed. Michelle played not only the coordinator role, but that of a close friend! First, Michelle goes above and beyond planning services: she treats her clients and their guests like gold. This a testament to her loving her job (to the point she even drove us to the airport afterward and we hugged goodbye)! She handles this intense job and everyone’s emotions with a calm, collected and fun demeanor. We had an intimate wedding, and having someone who could fit into the wedding events with such warm energy and a sense of humor was super important to us. Our guests raved about Michelle–my brother's girlfriend even asked if she traveled to do their future wedding! Second, Michelle has that ultimate inside perspective in the industry. You TRUST her advice, a super important intangible in a planner. She has a superb group of vendor contacts, which alone is worth thousands of dollars and will save your much-needed energy. Michelle was responsible for half of our vendors (we hired the other half before we met her). Pre-Michelle, I spent a lot of time second guessing decisions. When you are spending this kind of money, the feeling of hiring the right team is PRICELESS. Third, Michelle is a super savvy problem solver. My husband and I reached out to her in a pinch many times and she was able to help us quickly problem solve. She’s really responsive (under 24 hours) and makes herself available no matter the level of service! She advised us on table decor and space set up, rehearsal dinner and after-party location, etc. We had two near disasters the week of: rain – we dodged that bullet, but Michelle liaised with a tent vendor on our behalf; and marriage license – we forgot our vitals documents, and Michelle smoothed it over and sat with us most of the day to rectify it. Fourth, execution on the day of was exceptionally smooth – her staff treated our guests with superior quality and executed the logistics with perfection, including “flipping” the venue between the ceremony and reception. All of this was done on schedule and intuitively–we wanted someone who could be flexible to changes and go with the event vibe. Her team was also well-synchronized with our caterer and photographer, the trio you want to work together. Finally, Michelle’s prices are very reasonable. We only hired her for month-of services (not full-time planning), and yet she did so much! She allows you to send packages if you are a destination couple, holds regular phone calls, and responds to many emails in between. If I were to redo anything, I would hire her as my full-time planner. But if budget doesn’t allow, I would recommend her month-of services and NO LESS. She kicks in a lot of the coordination in the month prior to the wedding, which is when you need it the most. HIRE MICHELLE ASAP, she is a A+ leader in the industry! She will make your heart light up on your wedding day and your eyes tear up like mine when you write your review!

From the moment I spoke with Michelle I knew we were in Great hands. We were planning our wedding from a far so an excellent planner was key. And Michelle was that planner! She's amazing. She answered all questions (even the absurd lol) quickly and compassionately. When I was uncertain or unsure she stepped in to assist. And while the Day Of was a fabulous blur, we had no worries because Michelle handled everything!

Michelle and her team are amazing! We did the month of coordination package and they went above and beyond every step of the way. I loved the application that she uses - Aisle Planner - to organize all the little details. It made the hand off the month before the wedding practically seamless. Michelle was really on top of things leading up to the wedding and on the day of. Even when things were challenging, she was there to guide us through, or simply handle it for us. I would recommend her a million times over!!!!

I could not imagine a better wedding planner. Michelle has been such an incredible support system and has put us to ease from the moment we met her. She is incredibly professional, adaptable, and so good at what she does. More importantly, she is kind and generous. From our first meeting, we had an issue with another vendor not showing up to a site visit and we were standing out in the pouring rain. Michelle took us in her car to go grab some coffee and helped us turn a negative situation into a positive and productive one. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and things ran so smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a single thing, and I know it's because of the care and attention to detail Michelle put into running the day. I can honestly say at the end of our planning process, Michelle feels much more like a friend than a planner. We have grown to care so much for her, and couldn't have been gifted a better experience. We just returned home to California from my daughters dream destination wedding in New Orleans. My daughter and son-in-law met with Michelle Norwood originally on their first trip to New Orleans and hired her to help us with our wedding from a far, which was the most important key to the success of our event! They looked at several venues, and fell in love with the Melrose Mansion, which became the beautiful backdrop for an amazing weekend! After their original trip, I returned to New Orleans to spend a several days with Michelle locking down more of our details. She has an array of amazing vendors she works with that we were able to meet with to start filling the pieces together to bring my daughter and son in law’s vision to life! On our planning trip, we stayed at the Melrose Mansion prior to the wedding to get a feel for the venue which we took over for the weekend. I worked with McKensie Kirchner, who oversees all the events at the French Quarter Hotel Collection. She did a great job orchestrating all our needs that weekend at the Melrose Mansion and also aided our additional guests staying outside the venue. The staff at the Melrose Mansion, including Brian and Courtney were wonderful helping us and our guests throughout the weekend with anything we needed, making everyone feel at home. Next to finding the perfect venue, it was important to choose a Caterer who could give us all a taste of New Orleans, but also deliver a fresh and delicious menu with a beautiful presentation. Reese, proud owner of Little Bushel exceeded our expectations! She was wonderful to work with and it is obvious that the details matter to her as much as they did to us, and did not go unnoticed by us or our guests. Aspen Hardaway, owner of Event Staffing, helped us find the perfect staffing for our bar and to help our caterer with the meal. He has chosen wonderful individuals to work for him, which is no surprise, because he is such a warm and wonderful man himself. I found a new BFF in NOLA! I would also like to thank Mika at YUR Event rentals who patiently assisted me in an ever-changing order over the months prior to our wedding. I cannot thank Michelle Norwood enough for keeping us on schedule and helping fill in the details leading us to the right people to make our wedding weekend so perfect. Not only was she there in the planning, but led us through the night of the rehearsal prior to the wedding, and was there all day for the wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly from beginning to end! As mother of the bride, I was truly able to relax and enjoy this beautiful day with my daughter, family and friends because I knew we were in great hands! We truly thank you Michelle!

I'm actually a fellow wedding vendor in New Orleans who hired Michelle Norwood Weddings for my own wedding this past May. I think for someone in the industry to choose you as one of their vendors (and such an important role as planner) it really shows the amount of trust that goes into it. She's professional, she's organized, she's everything you need on your wedding/event day. I have issues with anxiety (TMI?) but hiring Michelle really helped put that to rest. I felt calm and confident on my wedding day that everything was taken care of. And it was. It was literally a dream come true, and a lot of it was thanks to her. I cannot describe how thrilled my husband and I were with our decision to hire Michelle! We are based in St. Louis, MO, and so we nervous at first about planning a wedding long-distance. Enter Michelle! She helped select vendors she knew would carry out our vision and it was beautiful! The weeks and days before, as well as on the day of the wedding, Michelle did an enormous amount of work to make sure the accommodations, rehearsal and wedding went just as we wanted. We cannot get over how happy we are with how things went and it would not have been possible without Michelle!

Being a destination wedding I knew I was going to hire a wedding planner and spoke with several before coming to New Orleans to begin the planning process. I had narrowed it down to my top two choices. Michelle was more expensive, however, when I met with her, her knowledge and confidence sealed the deal. We begin planning my wedding 14 months prior to my wedding date. By December we had planned everything, done all the tasting and made all the final selections for my wedding. Michelle sent me monthly payment updates and we knocked out all the last minute details early on. I went into this year with zero wedding planning stress. Literally, I enjoy my engagement! Michelle is absolutely amazing! She is kind, genuine, she LOVES what she does, and her personality is unlike any others. Simply put, if you are planning a wedding and want to get it done with no fuss or stress, she is the one for the job. Her team is amazing as well, her office staff is stellar and her Event Producer are amazing. The best experience planning in my life! I had the pleasure of working with Michelle and her team for my cousin weddings. Being a destinations wedding I was unsure if this elaborate design would be well executed. Michelle and her team went above and beyond the call of duty. My cousin is a graphic designer; he and Michelle worked closely together to create the Art of Love theme for his wedding. During our design meetings I found the wedding planning team to be creativity, personable and their professionalism exceeded beyond measure. Michelle was exceptionally knowledgeable and offered solutions for logistics, flow and set-up that we had missed. The design can together flawlessly. We live in Maryland and was married in New Orleans. We chose New Orleans without ever visiting, so we had no knowledge of anything. We knew we needed a planner. After hours on the knot, I reached out to Michelle . Upon receiving her brochure I was sold; I hoped she was nice and easy to talk to and if she was I had my planner. When I spoke with her she was so nice, knowledge, honest and direct, regarding budget and anything else I asked her. So we booked her that day. Everything was effortless, the booking process was 5 minutes max. Over the next few months we traveled to Nola and spent time with her, planning our wedding of course 😉. She is so much fun and knows the city. She gave us a tour of each of our venues, met with some of our vendor and we even walked our second line route. We had a blast! Heading home we knew we had made the right decision to host our wedding in New Orleans! She is detailed oriented and organized, which we needed because we have very busy lives and jobs. She took care of everything for us! We wanted to have fun and enjoy our engagement and have a wedding weekend that our guest would never forget. As a plus- we had so much fun on the two weekends we came to town for tastings and planning hanging out with Michelle: her excitement and vivacity make her so much fun to work (and play) with.

Jared and I were engaged for over a year, so I had a lot of time to think about and plan our wedding. Being an event organizer myself, I knew what I wanted and had mostly everything set up. However, I was stressing over who would be me on the day of! I am so glad I found Michelle, and took her on as a month of planner -- She filled in all the cracks and helped with all my "what am I forgetting?" problems. Having her with me the last month was such a relief, as she allowed me to go about my regular schedule and do my full time job, without feeling stressed about how I would pull it all together myself. Michelle was an absolute pleasure to work with!!! I was a destination bride, and planning a wedding in New Orleans from NYC was not easy. After months of planning,, we came to a point where we realized we absolutely needed a day of coordinator to execute all of the ideas we had planned. I'm so glad we chose Michelle!! She really executed our vision beautifully on the day of the wedding. Not only that, she worked with us weeks before (even met with my husband and I during her trip to New York!!) and was just such an amazing person to work with. My husband and I wanted to do a "first touch" photo-op without actually seeing each other before the ceremony. Michelle was so excited about the idea and provided us with eye masks which I think worked amazing for pictures (and helped us not to peek lol) All in all, whether you're looking for a day of coordinator, or a wedding planning, I can't recommend Michelle enough. Michelle Norwood Wedding was recommended to me by my florist. She said she was the best in the business. Well, she was correct; I was almost done planning my wedding when I hired Michelle, well at least that's what I thought. My fiancé hired Michelle to handle the décor of our wedding ceremony and reception. We fully agreed that we couldn’t and didn’t want to handle setting up on our wedding day. As the months grew closer my fiancé was dropping the ball in a lot of area regarding the wedding planning. So I reached out to Michelle and hired her for partial wedding planning services. It was the best decision we made. She swooped in and handled the cake tasting, flowers, finalizing the menu, handling my mom (who was so over the top with her request it was insane). I found myself calling Michelle, for all sorts of things. She even made reservations for my fiancé and I, to have dinner on her birthday, days before the wedding. As a groom, I must say she changed my mind about wedding planners and the wedding world in general. For someone that you find via the internet and completely trust with the biggest day of your life, is scary, but Michelle put myself, my wife and my mom at ease, as our wedding approached. Our reception was nice, she totally impressed our guest and my wife cried during the room reveal. She even worked with my mom and surprised my wife and I with a crawfish boil groom’s cake for me and she incorporated a date night jar for our guest to recommend for us, and as a surprise she put it in our honeymoon suite for us to read the next day. She really did think of everything. My wife and I are beyond happy with our experience with Michelle, her team Daisha and Betty and highly recommend them for wedding planning and decorating services.

Michelle Norwood has put together one of the most outstanding weddings of the year as far as me and my husband would be concerned! I am from Philippines and my bride is from Eastern Europe, our request was to find a way to mesh our two worlds…not an easy task. Michelle was able to create the most beautiful modern private residence wedding and it was breathtaking. We were able to get a quick sneak peek of the outdoor tent space before our guests entered and to say I was speechless doesn’t begin to do it justice. The tables were set, the flower centerpieces were perfectly positioned, colors flowed seamlessly and the blue chandelier all the way from China, added the final touch! Words of wisdom…if you can make room in the budget for a wedding planner, do yourself a favor and hire Michelle. We had a fabulous experience with Michelle and highly recommend her! -Joey Rodriguez

Trying to plan a wedding from NYC was a big challenge until we hired Michelle. She was immediately available to talk in the early morning and very reassuring. She knew all of the places we were booking and offered amazing recommendations with florists and photographers. She also arranged a full schedule for us during an overnight to NOLA so we would be able to see the venues, have tastings, and try out wedding cake bakeries. Michelle is easy to reach and actually went out of her way to try a meal at a restaurant we were worried about because we couldn't try it before booking. She also worked hard to get us a good hotel rate and personally went and checked out the space for us. I can't say enough about how grateful we are to Michelle and are looking forward to more help with her throughout our wedding weekend in November.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience thanks to Exclusive Events. They went above and beyond our expectations and made sure the wedding event was a stress free event. We've heard all the usual horror stories of disastrous weddings, things not going as planned. No horror stories with our wedding. Everything was on schedule and we couldn't have had a better once in a lifetime experience.

Exclusive Events was the best! There isn't a THANK YOU card big enough for her and her team. We used her for our wedding planning and catering; both were excellent; I am still getting responses on how good the food was. Our wedding was spectacular; everything ran smoothly. We didn't have to worry about the vendors, setting up, or taking down ANYTHING. Her team was also super nice and professional. She honestly should charge a lot more for what she does (GREAT VALUE!). Our wedding was truly perfect and I don't think a lot of grooms can say that. And it was all because of Michelle and her team.

The day of the wedding she managed the transportation services; functionality of the ceremony; entertainment during cocktail hour; band for the reception; delivery & set up of tables, chairs, linens, food service & florals; facilitated arrangements for requested personal touches during the ceremony & reception; served as liaison with the reception venue; and along with her fabulous team, managed any issues that presented with 700 guests. We were so thankful for many extra and unexpected things she did for us. As the mother of the bride, I was able to approach the year of planning and the weekend of the wedding, as a time of making many happy memories with my daughter, knowing that Michelle was taking care of all the details. She is the consummate professional who can be trusted to manage any situation in the best possible way. We appreciated her professionalism, competence, experience, initiative, and sound judgment. However, the most remarkable thing about her is the genuine joy she shares with you for this most cherished occasion.

ONE WORD: AMAZING!!!! Seriously, everyone, stop what you’re doing and message Michelle ASAP to book her! Michelle and her team were absolutely spectacular and did everything in their power to make sure that I didn’t lift a finger or feel at all stressed on my big day. She met with me a few times before the big day to go over everything. She made up timelines, maps of the venue, and collected all of my DIY decorations beforehand to bring them to the venue for me – then even set them all up for me! She was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly super friendly and outgoing! In my opinion, my big day wouldn’t have been nearly as enjoyable or perfect without Michelle. She’s the absolute best at what she does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am beyond pleased that we chose Michelle as our coordinator. We knew we needed a planner and after interviewing five, we met Michelle and we knew she was the one. She is INCREDIBLE!! She had so many ideas to make our wedding a one of kind event. She was all about the details and the wow factor and made it all come to life for us. She recently worked with me as my Wedding Planner and I could not have been more pleased with my dream wedding. She was there for me every step of the planning and began to know my tastes very quickly (which made our working together much easier).
