Mintahoe Catering & Events

We had a great experience working with Mintahoe Catering & Events for our wedding! A venue we initially wanted to look at was going to be way out of our budget, Mintahoe offered other options within our budget and we ended up going with and loving the Solar Arts building in NE Minneapolis. It was such a great space! Mintahoe was helpful, responsive, professional, and fun to work with throughout the whole process.

We loved working with Mintahoe for our wedding. First, they were super organized. They had a menu for us, clear deadlines, and pricing all laid out when we started the journey. Rather than doing one-on-one tastings they do group tastings, which lets you get a lot more options (remember to pace yourself!). There was something we were interested in that wasn't at the tasting, though, and they worked with us to get an individual portion in our hands to try complete with heating instructions. Once we decided on a menu they created a whole timeline of the day with us and made sure to follow up on the pieces that we didn't have figured out originally. We had a staffing change while planning our wedding and there was a piece of information that hadn't been conveyed (removing nuts from a dish because of guests' allergy concerns). I noticed this a few days before our wedding and they were great in accommodating that change even though it was super last minute. Guests told me how great the food was and everything went off without a hitch. I was even pleasantly surprised that there was a tray of appetizers from the cocktail hour waiting at the head table since I hadn't had a chance to eat any! 100% recommend working with Mintahoe.

Mintahoe Catering was an absolute delight to work with. We heard raving reviews about the quality and flavor of the dishes from our guests. The catering team was always on top of the event flow, set up, delivery, etc. The staff during the event did a phenomenal job. I would 100% use them again for any catering needs.

Mintahoe was absolutely wonderful to work with. I wrote a glowing and honest review of Nicollet Island Pavilion, our wedding venue, and the privilege of working with Morgan Brady (an absolute angel). But beyond the gorgeous venue and amazing Morgan’s venue coordination, guests had WONDERFUL things to say about our food, drink, and service thanks to Mintahoe. They offer a wide array of options, dietary accommodations, and so much more. I hope for the opportunity to work with Mintahoe again for a corporate or just-for-fun event in the future! We can't say enough about how fantastic it was working with Mintahoe for our wedding! We loved having CJ as our contact-she was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. She answered any and all questions and helped us create a great plan for our big day, which went off without a hitch! The food is wonderful (my now-husband and I shared 3 plates because we just couldn't decide between all the great options), the cake was BEAUTIFUL and so, so good. The mini-cupcakes and late-night flatbread pizzas were a huge hit and we just couldn't be happier. The service was absolutely top-notch and we got so many compliments from our guests on both the servers and bartenders. We are so pleased with the entire night of food and drinks and are so grateful to CJ and the entire service and bartending staff that helped make our wedding such a perfect day!

We chose Mintahoe Catering for our company's event and selected the Seminar package which included a classic continental breakfast, lunch buffet, afternoon snack and desserts! The deliveries were prompt, very professional and we had more than enough food for our number count! Coordinating and corresponding with the planner was easy and very receptive to our dietary needs. We would highly recommend Mintahoe Catering for your next event.

I will start my review by saying I had to choose Mintahoe because they are contracted by the venue I chose - the Van Dusen Mansion. Morgan was absolutely wonderful to work with, nothing but great things to say about her - very responsive, friendly, understanding, accommodating. We had to have the champagne and beer ordered ahead of time for the bridal suite and club room while getting ready - you can’t bring any of your own alcohol at any time during the day (this wasn’t an issue, however it’s just more expensive to have to buy theirs). I was happy with the food, I didn’t receive any complaints from my guests about this. The sea bass was the meal I ordered and it they cooked this perfectly (very easy to overdo this dish). The wine during dinner could’ve been better, however I do enjoy more expensive wines so I wasn’t expecting top tier wines to be served anyway. I can’t comment on the bartending portion of their service myself because I was too busy (I’m the bride) during the day and I barely had anything to drink and never visited the bar. Several of guests reported a few things about the bar tenders for the evening that they thought was worth mentioning to me after the wedding, however I did not experience it myself so I can’t comment on that. Unsure if the late night pizza was good or not - I didn’t get to try it, but we had that option for our guests. The desert table looked great! I also was clearly too busy to try this, but the venue attendants were nice enough to pack up the extra deserts and send that home with me at the end of the night! (I had the tres leches tulip cups for breakfast the following morning and they were delightful!) They are an expensive company, they had price changes which is understandable, but were accommodating for the extra things I wanted (signatures drinks, imported Ting, outsourced cake, champagne wall). Budget wasn’t an issue for us, but had it been, I may have had to chose another company/venue. We had 4 entrees, 4 butler passed hors d’oeuvres, table side wine pours during dinner service, 2 signature drinks & imported NA soda, 3 desert options, late night pizza, a champagne wall, and we selected the complete premium bar package. I would say all of went smoothly from what I heard - I just wish I would’ve had time/been able to experience/try all the things we paid for! The chef/team made sure we had a plate of hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table for dinner so we could try them, which I was pleasantly surprised by when I sat down! The signature drink of mine (espresso martini) apparently was a huge hit - I wish I would’ve ordered more to start (I had no idea 50 of them would be finished during the cocktail hour alone!). Overall a great experience for a company that I didn’t have an option to choose from due to a venue I signed a contract with.

I cannot say enough good things about Mintahoe and, more specifically, C.J. Navarro who manages their venue at the Solar Arts Building. Our wedding was flawless, and it wouldn't have been possible without C.J. She was so helpful at every step of the way. Very responsive and she knows her stuff! We were so pleased with every single aspect of the venue and the day. Our day-of coordinator dropped out the day before our wedding and we were - STRESSED - but C.J. was so calm and confident that it put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy the day. She made sure everything was handled and it all went off without a hitch! The Solar Arts Building is gorgeous and has so many unique features. Our favorite was being able to host our happy hour on the second floor, which is home to artist studios. It was beautiful and a fun change of pace. It was a perfect day, and we'll tell everyone forever that they should get married at the Solar Arts Building (and work with C.J.!).

We had our wedding at the Van Dusen mansion which requires you to contract catering with Mintahoe, so we were locked in. However, our experience with the Mintahoe team was excellent. The food was incredible. The staff were extremely kind and attentive. We worked with CJ and she was incredibly helpful as we got ready for this day. Absolutely would work with their team again if I have future events.

Mintahoe Catering was absolutely fabulous to work with from the beginning of wedding planning to execution the day of. Very professional staff, timely excellent service the day of and delicious food offerings!

We had a pretty mixed experience with Mintahoe. They were the exclusive caterer at our venue. Otherwise, we would have found someone different. Communication and professionalism was sub-par at best, and we encountered multiple super rude employees throughout the planning process. We have no complaints about the actual wedding day -- lead contact, servers, food, etc., were all fine. However as one of the more premium caterers and at their price point, I would have expected a more professional / customer-oriented company.

Unfortunately we did not have a pleasant experience with Mintahoe for our wedding. Communication was poor and one of our sides was messed up for all our beef entrees. In addition, our late night pizzas that were served were all extremely burnt. Expected more for how expensive they are.

We work with them on a variety of venues, and they always come through. Their artists were talented and friendly, and their Event Planner is easy to work with.

The Mintahoe team was great to work with! They were amenable to last minute changes in the amount of plated dinners we needed. The food was delicious. Plus, the cake was amazing! We just wish that the plated dinners had a larger portion size.

The Mintahoe team was great to work with and the food was amazing! They were very flexible with our specific requests and did their best to make sure everything was precisely as we had hoped. Since we were so busy socializing during cocktail hour, they set a plate of small bites at the head table for us, which was a sweet touch.

Mintahoe catered our wedding reception after we eloped abroad because our venue (Van Dusen Mansion) has an exclusive agreement with them. Mintahoe took the joy out of planning our event for several months. Prices, policies, and fee structures were completely changed with no supporting language in the contract we signed or any of the supporting documents at the whim of the sales team. Mintahoe’s director of sales tried to substantiate changes in fees by misrepresenting city permitting requirements, which we only found out about after reaching out to the city directly. Then, once our venue asked her to speak with us about the issue, she claimed that the city had retracted what they told us and would be reaching out to us shortly to let us know. That never happened. After months of stress, we finally came to an agreement, and were asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement by Mintahoe and the venue management company, Bellagala, to keep us from discussing the strange circumstances and treatment we received. We knew we had no legal obligation to sign, but we’re assuming this is why more reviews like this don’t exist. We do not recommend working with Mintahoe or a venue that requires Mintahoe’s services. Note: the service provided by Mintahoe staff at our event was wonderful. This review is in no way a reflection of the exceptional support staff. Our dissatisfaction lies solely with the senior leadership and their predatory business practices.

The Mintahoe team was very professional, responsive, and well-organized throughout the entire process. They helped make the planning much easier because they were so well-organized and clearly communicated everything (including expectations, timelines, payments, etc.). The food was also fantastic; they offer a large variety of selections (and delicious vegan and vegetarian options, which is often hard to find), and work hard to customize to dietary preferences and restrictions. We received numerous compliments about the food on our wedding day!

We used Mintahoe for our wedding at Nicollet Island Pavilion and were so thrilled with all of the food! We did heavy passed apps and food stations. Every. Single. Thing. was delicious!!! People continue to tell us how awesome the food experience was - and that’s not something you typically hear about wedding food! They accommodated our many guests with food allergies or restrictions seamlessly. The event staff was gracious and helpful. We are so glad we worked with Mintahoe!

We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at the Nicollet Island Pavilion - between the venue and the Mintahoe team, we couldn't have dreamed of a better day! Cyndi and her team took such great care of us - from helping us plan and customize our perfect day ahead of time, to ensuring all details were executed flawlessly the day of, we were in such great hands that I didn't even need a wedding planner! We would recommend Mintahoe to anyone planning a wedding in the Twin Cities.

Mintahoe was extremely professional and easy to work with from the beginning to day of our wedding! Carrie was always available whenever we had any questions and responded within 24 hours. She was great to work with and ensured that what we wanted happen. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. We received many compliments. I would absolutely use them again and recommend to anyone choosing a catering company!

Throughout the planning process of our wedding, Morgan and Carrie were incredible. They were so patient with our indecisiveness and helped inform us of all of our options. Carrie knew the ins/outs of our wedding down to decor and timing which was so helpful. We met and talked frequently going back and forth about details. I felt so great going into the wedding day knowing every detail was covered. They are very accommodating with guests dietary restrictions - way more than I guessed or expected out of them! The staff were so friendly the day of and the food was AMAZING! We had tableside service which I could not recommend more. The staff were professional and accommodating. I am so glad we had Mintahoe Catering for our wedding - I couldn't have imagined it any other way.

Our experience from the start was awesome. My wife is vegan and so are some family and friends. This was our biggest worry and they made everyone feel great. They were very accommodating and patient with us as we requested items to be made vegan. We are very happy with our caterer and would recommend them to anyone. And all our guest said the food was great.

We had an amazing experience with Mintahoe Catering & Events. The staff were friendly, efficient, and the food and dessert were amazing. All of our guests were happy at hour recent wedding! Cannot say enough good things about Mintahoe.

We were very happy with our experience! Mintahoe was the caterer for our venue, Leopold's Mississippi Gardens and that made it easy to not have to choose a caterer. Mintahoe was incredibly responsive, communicative, and detail oriented leading up to the wedding. They did a fantastic job on our wedding day. We heard from many guests that the food was fantastic (and we agreed!) I especially appreciated that there were several vegan options on the menu as I am vegan, including a vegan cake! Our only grievance was that Mintahoe charged a fee for us to bring our own additional desserts and have an ice cream truck, even though we ordered cake through them as well. Overall very happy with the food and service!

The Team at Mintahoe were great to work with! They worked with us through a number of postponements due to the pandemic and talked us through all the details and well documented everything. They helped make our day go so smoothly!

We were very pleased with Mintahoe for our wedding!! Food was delicious, communication was prompt, absolutely fantastic. There were many comments from our guests on how good the food was, the food was filling, it was served promptly, etc. The food tasting when we had it was excellent and when we wanted to try other foods afterwards they worked with us on that and it was great. Overall just amazing. If anything there would be a small complaint with communication to serving staff. Allergies were provided before the event, but the serving staff had still asked at the table (I would assume to confirm, but I'm not sure). We had also asked guests prior to the dinner if they wanted alcoholic or non-alcoholic champagne and had provided an indicator of such on the name cards, but the serving staff did not seem to know about that and, in addition, had served the wine with dinner saying it was for the toast even though it definitely wasn't as the champagne was for the toast and this confused guests. SUPER super minor things, but just something to note. They did prep the food in accordance with the allergies provided which is excellent.

Mintahoe is very organized and easy to work with. They reach out to you when it's time to complete each step like tastings and setting menus and payments are very easy and on a schedule so you don't have to pay for everything up front. They have lots of options and are very thorough. One big thing we were concerned with was that we had a lot of guests with allergies and dietary restrictions and we wanted everyone to be included. Mintahoe made us feel confident that all of our guests would be taken care of and given multiple options. They also accommodated a last minute change to the table settings (like the day night before the wedding last minute) which just highlights their top tier service.

Our wedding was held at the Van Dusen Mansion on June 30, 2022. Mintahoe has an exclusive deal with the Van Dusen for catering. Being that this wasn’t a vendor choice we were able to make, I did have some reservations about the pricing and ability of Mintahoe - boy what’s I wrong. Each of their staff was so kind and attentive to us and each one of our guests at our wedding. We have gotten so many compliments on our choice of vendors and staff. Social hour was a very busy time for the bartenders and they handled each guest with patience and an amazing attitude. Dinner service ran so smoothly and there were no awkward waits. To round out the evening, the reception staff were so helpful with the cleanup process and assisting guests with finding lost items. They absolutely nailed it!! We could not be more thankful for the incredible service each of their day-of staff provided and their diligence throughout the planning process.

I would highly recommend Mintahoe! One of our wedding priorities was that everything run smoothly, and Mintahoe did a great job managing all the setup/takedown/food/drink logistics, in addition to having really tasty food and drinks. Everyone I worked with was very flexible and had suggestions I really appreciated, such as having pre-set salads and rolls for guests while they're waiting for the buffet. Carrie was always super quick to respond to questions and emails too, even during the height of wedding season!

We had to use Mintahoe for our catering with our wedding at A’bulae and we are so glad! We worked with Carrie throughout the whole planning process and she was EXTREMELY accommodating and did everything she could to make our dreams come true. She made sure everything was complete and we were ready to go for our day. We really felt ready and besides normal nerves, we weren’t worried about anything! The food was great and the staff was so amazing the day of the wedding! Our day went perfectly and can’t thank Mintahoe enough!!

We worked with Mintahoe and Cyndi for our wedding at Nicollet Island Pavilion. Cyndi and team were professional and helped us throughout the entire planning process! The venue is gorgeous and perfect to keep guests entertained from outside, tent and indoor spaces. Everything went smoothly on our big day!

The food was delicious and got great reviews from all the guests we asked. The cake was especially tasty! However, they were very unclear about their menu and prices. Just a heads up: the tasting you do will be for things you can upgrade to, not things that are shown on the initial menu when you first work with them. We had a vaccine mandate happen 4 days before the wedding and ended up losing between 25-30 guests and they were very difficult to work with when we attempted to negotiate due to this last minute curve ball thrown at us. On the day of I did not want to talk to the catering lead because I was so sick of emailing with them about it. They ended up giving us about 5% back which was only about $1,000 but we just bit the bullet and accepted it so we could be done working with them. The food is delicious, but the menu and communication was super unclear. Still had an amazing day, just wish the catering could’ve been a little more smooth.

Working with Sydney at Mintahoe was a pleasure! They made sure my wedding went smoothly even when it was interrupted by COVID. My wedding date was scheduled a few days after the mandate when all businesses were closed; however, Mintahoe kept our contract and plans in place for the following year. Sydney was very helpful in ensuring I got what I wanted. We had a value pack for our wedding which was very helpful. Our venue was in Oakdale and it was huge and beautiful. The entire menu and cake was deliciously made by Mintahoe's own chef. All my guests loved the cake and all the food was definitely finished by the end of the event. I definitely would recommend Sydney to anyone having their event at Inwood Oaks.

Unreasonably expensive and inflexible

We had a WONDERFUL experience with Mintahoe! The planning was so easy, and the communication was excellent... even during the pandemic where things were constantly changing and there were a ton of weddings happening in 2021. And last but not least, the food turned out DELICIOUS! 10/10 would recommend Mintahoe.

We had such a great experience working with Elsie planning our event, and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We planned our wedding over the course of 2 years, and in that time probably exchanged almost 100 emails. Elsie was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions, and we are so appreciative of all the hard work she put into our event. We highly recommend working with Mintahoe.

Mintahoe Catering went above and beyond to make sure our Wedding Day was exceptional! Everyone raved about our food choices for appetizers, entrees and evening snacks! Exceeded our expectations!

We worked with Sydney Young and Mintahoe Catering at the Inwood Oaks event center for our wedding reception. The food was absolutely amazing and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food/drinks for an event of that size. Sydney was fantastic to work with! She thought of every last detail where many would have slipped our minds, and she was extremely accommodating during the uncertain times of the pandemic. Sydney was also very available, responsive, and helpful for questions and advice all throughout the planning process. Wedding planning is stressful enough, so having someone like her to work with was a huge relief.

Elsie at Mintahoe (Leopold's Mississippi Gardens) was so easy and helpful to work with planning our November 2021 wedding! LMG works exclusively through Mintahoe, but that made decision making easier and the relationship the venue and the cater share is so cohesive and collaborative - they worked together so very well on table settings, and putting together the entire dining room experience! The food was good, the meal service was great, but where they really come through is in how easy, low-stress, and helpful they are through the planning process! Would recommend and use them again!

Mintahoe's food is amazing for catering. Even though I wish we could have tried more things that they offer at the food tasting, we were so happy with the food we chose. The appetizers were delicious and I cannot say enough about the spare ribs. My friends went up for seconds for those because they were that good. Some people said it was the best wedding food that they've ever had. Even though our venue didn't allow us to choose a different caterer, we wouldn't do anything different. Everything was great!

We used Mintahoe as our wedding catering service and for event management. We worked with Elsie and she is phenomenal. She is very responsive and professional. The group was really accommodating for some non-traditional requests like a plate of sugar cookies at each table. They did an awesome job working with my vision and I truly appreciate that.

Mintahoe was one of the 3 catering companies we had to choose from for our venue. Since we had our reception in the Mall of America, we ordered food from an MoA tenant, but hired Mintahoe for bar service & late night snack. They did an awesome job! We had such a blast and our bartender, Caleb, was super friendly & professional. He was very personable & everyone had a good time! Steve was our point of contact and he did a great job to answer all of my questions & ensure we had a smooth event - would hire them again!

Mintahoe did an excellent job in communication, clarity, and performance! The organizing staff were friendly and approachable, and the dining staff, day of, were excellent and so kind. They were very efficient at making sure food came out on time and in a timely manner, and were friendly the whole time. If you are having a wedding and looking for a catering service I cannot encourage using Mintahoe enough!

We used Mintahoe for our wedding at Leopold's Mississippi Gardens and they were so easy and straightforward to work with. The representative that I worked with, Elsie, was great and she was very attentive to detail and made sure to answer and address all my questions and concerns. They were very flexible and great at handling all the dietary restrictions our guests had. The food on the day of was great, lots of flavor - unlike a lot of typical "wedding food".

Mintahoe made things so straightforward and easy. The meal prices seem high at first but, unlike most caterers, almost everything is built in to the price per plate. The prices were extremely competitive. I adored how accommodating they were with gluten free options and more obscure allergies--and they gave everyone actual meals. So many caterers give plain, unseasoned chicken and steamed veggies as allergy meals, but these were real, delicious meals. The food was really terrific! My primary contact was Elsie, and she was amazingly responsive to all of my questions. Elsie was terrific with the fluctuating covid rules and regulations. I felt like they had it under control, which was a dang joy since I didn't have to worry about it.

Waste of money, don't oven bother. My children's food was so cold and over cooked they couldn't even eat it, even after I had them take it back for a new one. Disappointed since the tasting was so good. Let's also add they just assumed I wanted an ugly basic wedding cake without asking what design I wanted.

We used Mintahoe for our wedding at the Nicollet Island Pavilion. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our guests were comfortable. They even provided an extra plate full of mashed potatoes for a guest that had a unique pregnancy craving.

We used Mintahoe for our wedding at Pinewood. The staff and food was incredible. We chose this catering from attending a previous wedding. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to use them for our own. Elsie helped us along the way making our day wonderfully perfect. Thank you to all the staff involved making our day perfect!

The food was good and we were able to customize our menu to include fun things like max and cheese bites and mini pizza bagels! The only hiccup was some of the servers didn’t know what they were serving and told some of our guests that the wasabi on top of the ahi tuna cones was guacamole and it definitely was not 😬 but the bartender we had was AMAZING! He was the greatest and I had lots of guests after the wedding tell me how great he was!

Guests raved about the food!

With this crazy year COVID has given us a lot of differences and struggles we have had to face. We had to separate our wedding date into two parts and have our reception later. Mintahoe stayed with us through it all with great communication, amazing follow through and on the day blew us away with how much they did for us. The food is amazing, the service is great and how they do it with such class! :)

We cannot recommend mintahoe enough!! We had the absolute best experience planning catering for our wedding through them. Emily is by far the absolute best!! She was VERY quick to respond to my questions almost every single day. She made every aspect of our day completely stress free!! VERY well done!! We still are getting comments on how amazing our food was!! Thank you mintahoe and thank you Emily. I will never forget how great it all was!!

I was very impressed with Mintahoe and highly recommend them! Erin did such an amazing job doubling as our Day of Coordinator for our wedding on August 15th at Leopold's Mississippi Gardens - it turned out even better than I imagined! She is very organized and detail-oriented, which made it super easy/stress-free to plan a wedding while out of state (even during COVID). She was so responsive and flexible during the pandemic - she kept us updated on the changing requirements and the corresponding adjustments they were making to allow us to celebrate safely. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly - our guests commented on how impressed they were. Erin went above and beyond to ensure our day went perfectly - she always set up time for us to come on-site and talk through things/see things in person whenever we were in town visiting. She even set up a private tasting for us at Leopold's to try out a few dessert options we were debating between. We couldn't have pulled off our wedding without her - she took care of all the little details and kept everything moving smoothly, all while maintaining a positive/energetic attitude that was contagious. Couldn't be happier with our day!

Mintahoe made planning the catering for our wedding reception very stress-free and efficient despite a series of major changes as we had to completely overhaul our initial event plans following the COVID-19 outbreak. The food was amazing, staff super friendly and our planner Erin was always quick to respond and provide us with updated quotes through all of the changes. Erin made our day so special and magical by pulling it all together for us. We would highly recommend Mintahoe as a caterer!

I'm going to start this review with the positives. First, the food was fantastic, and the portions were very generous. All of our guests raved about the food and no one left hungry. Second, Emily is amazing to work with, and I wish we would have gotten her as our representative from the start because she was very accommodating, easy to work with, responsive, and transparent. If we had worked with her from the start I think a lot of the issues we had would have been avoided. The main negative/my biggest complaint is the cost. I have no idea how this is listed as affordable on the knot, but I assure you it is not. We had to go with Mintahoe as our caterer as they are the preferred vendor at the venue we chose. The first representative we worked with (I believe her name was Denise, not sure if she is still with Mintahoe), gave us a catering estimate when we were deciding if we were going to book the venue. While it was a bit more than we wanted to spend on food and beverages, it wasn't terrible given our initial guest count, so we decided to move forward. Fast forward a few months, we are now working with Emily, and due to COVID-19, we decide to reduce our guest count enough that we are now below the food and beverage minimum. My now husband I are are pretty happy, because we think we are going to be saving a good chunk of money now, because we were initially quite a bit above the food and beverage minimum. We got our new estimate and turns out we are paying more than our initial estimate from Denise. When I asked Emily what was going on, it turned out that Denise had not only messed up our initial proposal, but was not transparent about the $5K in taxes and fees that are added to your bill no matter what, and are not included in the minimum. So even if you are right at the food and beverage minimum (like we were after our reduced guest count), you still almost pay double because of all the fees, and Mintahoe is NOT up front about that. Had we known about all the fees we might not have gone with the venue we did, and I certainly wouldn't recommend Mintahoe to anyone who doesn't have to use them. If you select a venue where you have to use them, know the food will be good and certain staff members are great, but be ready to pay an absurd amount in taxes and fees.

The food wasn’t the issue. A few weeks after the wedding I informed the company that they provided misleading information in regards to the cost of drinks prior to the wedding. I was told that it was my fault for not tracking down the team lead about this issue on my wedding day. I was offered no sort of compensation for being overcharged just told there was nothing they could do for me. (Already paid and had the wedding so they didn’t care about me) The second issue I had with them was the fact that they search through the bridal parties private property that was located in the bridal suites. They then claimed that it was in there right given the policy, when asked to see where in the policy gave them the right to search private property they replied that the day has already past and to let it go. Overall this company is unethical and doesn’t continue to provide quality service after the wedding.

Absolutely wonderful service and food. Planning a wedding during the height of Covid has been awful, but they helped us get through everything. The food was great and the tasting was great. Awesome staff and planning committee.

They were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process, quickly answering any questions we had and keeping us on track. Gabriella at Mintahoe/Nicollet Island Pavillion was simply put, AMAZING. We actually booked the venue with a different coordinator but it was a blessing in disguise when she left and Gabby came into our lives. She fixed mistakes that the previous coordinator had made and worked with us to get to the pricepoint we felt comfortable at, without sacrificing special elements of the day. Everything on our day of was flawless. I never had to think about how things were going at the venue or worry about if things would be set up correctly, which is exactly how it should be on that day! She answered all of my questions (and there were a LOT of questions) in a timely manner and very thoroughly which was exactly what I needed since I was planning this from the East Coast. She was like a good friend - planning along with you, not over the top with opinions, but also not too hands-off where you feel lost! She was actually the last person I saw before I stepped out to walk down the aisle and she was so happy for us, fixed my dress, and reminded me to enjoy the moment. Gabby also helped me make some last-minute decisions to add some small touches to the reception space, that in my opinion, really made it elegant, but not over the top. She sent me no less than 12-15 photos of options since I wasn't able to be there in person and then took the time to talk through them with me over the phone. It had our guests were raving about how beautiful our venue was and that the food (beef short ribs/wingtip chicken/butternut squash ravioli) was spot on as well. Overall they were very easy to work with, payments were easy to make online, and Emily was a rockstar making sure our final table arrangement and seating made sense. It was the perfect place and I wish we could do it a million times over!

We had our wedding at Nicollet Island Pavillion and it was a total blast. Gabriella and Emily (Mintahoe staff) are incredible to work with. They are super helpful, flexible, and just lovely people. The venue was beautiful, food was good, and it's right on the Mississippi river with a view of downtown. I highly recommend this venue!

Mintahoe’s tasting was a ton of fun and the food was great! It’s tough making large quantities of food without the meat being dry, veggies soggy and everything still hot! Mintahoe catering did a wonderful job in making sure all three of these things did not happen. I can’t imagine being married anywhere other than Leopold’s. The staff made me feel as if I had my own personal wedding planner. The space is romantic, whimsical, and perfectly designed for such a special and important event in your life. I burst into tears at our first visit to tour the location and am actually tearing up writing this review. I am so happy we chose this beautiful establishment to become husband and wife.

My husband and I definitely recommend, Mintahoe Catering & Events! Our coordinator Erin was amazing to work with! She was extremely responsive from start to finish and made us feel completely at ease on our big day. Every staff member was exceptional! We even had some of our wedding guest compliment on the great service.

My nonprofit organization worked with Mintahoe Catering for our recent annual big event. It was a great pleasure working with their staff and our guests had a wonderful time and loved the food. AVOID!! This was the worse wedding experience I have ever encountered. The food was awful and served cold. The staff was unprofessional and inexperienced, specifically the "Captain" who was offensive and demeaning, he berated me about the difference between a salad and an entree! He was so far beyond the limits of acceptability and fabricated an incident involving me that upset several of the guests and caused them to leave the wedding!!!

I would highly recommend Mintahoe. They were so helpful and made us feel that they were genuinely trying to help us find the most cost efficient route. They were accommodating with all requests and had a sense of urgency when answering emails, phone calls etc. The food was amazing! We had glowing reviews from guests in desserts and entrees.

Working with Mintahoe was easier than I could have ever imagined. When we were planning our wedding, we were planning it from Fargo, about three and a half hours away, and then a year before the wedding we moved to Bozeman, Montana, about 14 hours from Saint Paul. When should have been stressful being nowhere near the venue was easy and as stress-free, as it could have been. We had no hiccups planning or even the day of and they took care of everything for us, all we had to do was show up, get married and eat! The food was absolutely amazing and I got so many compliments on it all night and well after the reception. I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Twin Cities area.

We loved working with Mintahoe for our wedding. The staff were great and very professional. The food (appetizers, salads, entrees, and dessert) was all amazing - we had so many compliments on all of it. Erin answered all of our questions in a timely manner and was so fun and easy to work with!

Mintahoe catered my daughters' wedding in August of 2019. They did an amazing job with setting the tables and making them look fabulous, cooking the sit down dinner, and serving it. Their servers were friendly and accommodating. We did not order late night apps through them but their staff was still around helping pick up which was a help. Prior to the wedding everything went smoothly from choosing the menu to getting a final count. I would recommend them highly!

We used Mintahoe for our wedding last month and the food was delicious. We opted to do 3 stations rather than a buffet. Each station offered something completely different and our guests loved all three. Gabriella was the coordinator that we worked with and she was amazing. She was patient and knowledgeable, and she was a great communicator who responded quickly to all of our questions throughout the whole process.

Gabby's expertise, experience, and professionalism ensured that the event was a flawless success. Gabby was calm and thorough, available to answer all of our questions and her pleasant nature made the entire experience a joy. The Nicollet Island Pavilion is a stunning venue with beautiful lighting and an outdoor view that is perfect any time of year. I would highly recommend the venue especially if you are working with Gabby to guide the way.

Nicollet Island Pavilion was an incredible venue and if we had to do it over we would get married there again in a heartbeat. We looked at ~20 venues around the city and couldn’t find anything that could compare in terms of size, city view, on the water, etc…The price was competitive with all other similar sized downtown venues. Gabriella Panebianco took over as the main point of contact for us a few months from our wedding. She quickly brought herself up to speed and was incredibly professional and patient throughout the process. We had several last minute changes/questions the week of the wedding and she was completely accessible and handled all inquiries promptly. We did not hire a day of coordinator, nor did we need to. Gabriella was present on wedding day through dinner and provided a calming presence and made sure everything flowed correctly. The entire staff on site was incredibly kind to us and our guests. In particular, Steve the bartender went out of his way to take care of both of our parents all night. Bottom line, awesome place to get married and awesome people to work with.
