ry organized and detail-oriented, which made it super easy/stress-free to plan a wedding while out of state (even during COVID). She was so responsive and flexible during the pandemic - she kept us updated on the changing requirements and the corresponding adjustments they were making to allow us to celebrate safely. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly - our guests commented on how impressed they were. Erin went above and beyond to ensure our day went perfectly - she always set up time for us to come on-site and talk through things/see things in person whenever we were in town visiting. She even set up a private tasting for us at Leopold's to try out a few dessert options we were debating between. We couldn't have pulled off our wedding without her - she took care of all the little details and kept everything moving smoothly, all while maintaining a positive/energetic attitude that was contagious. Couldn't be happier with our day!

super friendly and our planner Erin was always quick to respond and provide us with updated quotes through all of the changes. Erin made our day so special and magical by pulling it all together for us. We would highly recommend Mintahoe as a caterer!

e gotten her as our representative from the start because she was very accommodating, easy to work with, responsive, and transparent. If we had worked with her from the start I think a lot of the issues we had would have been avoided. The main negative/my biggest complaint is the cost. I have no idea how this is listed as affordable on the knot, but I assure you it is not. We had to go with Mintahoe as our caterer as they are the preferred vendor at the venue we chose. The first representative we worked with (I believe her name was Denise, not sure if she is still with Mintahoe), gave us a catering estimate when we were deciding if we were going to book the venue. While it was a bit more than we wanted to spend on food and beverages, it wasn't terrible given our initial guest count, so we decided to move forward. Fast forward a few months, we are now working with Emily, and due to COVID-19, we decide to reduce our guest count enough that we are now below the food and beverage minimum. My now husband I are are pretty happy, because we think we are going to be saving a good chunk of money now, because we were initially quite a bit above the food and beverage minimum. We got our new estimate and turns out we are paying more than our initial estimate from Denise. When I asked Emily what was going on, it turned out that Denise had not only messed up our initial proposal, but was not transparent about the $5K in taxes and fees that are added to your bill no matter what, and are not included in the minimum. So even if you are right at the food and beverage minimum (like we were after our reduced guest count), you still almost pay double because of all the fees, and Mintahoe is NOT up front about that. Had we known about all the fees we might not have gone with the venue we did, and I certainly wouldn't recommend Mintahoe to anyone who doesn't have to use them. If you select a venue where you have to use them, know the food will be good and certain staff members are great, but be ready to pay an absurd amount in taxes and fees.

about this issue on my wedding day. I was offered no sort of compensation for being overcharged just told there was nothing they could do for me. (Already paid and had the wedding so they didn’t care about me) The second issue I had with them was the fact that they search through the bridal parties private property that was located in the bridal suites. They then claimed that it was in there right given the policy, when asked to see where in the policy gave them the right to search private property they replied that the day has already past and to let it go. Overall this company is unethical and doesn’t continue to provide quality service after the wedding.

us coordinator had made and worked with us to get to the pricepoint we felt comfortable at, without sacrificing special elements of the day. Everything on our day of was flawless. I never had to think about how things were going at the venue or worry about if things would be set up correctly, which is exactly how it should be on that day! She answered all of my questions (and there were a LOT of questions) in a timely manner and very thoroughly which was exactly what I needed since I was planning this from the East Coast. She was like a good friend - planning along with you, not over the top with opinions, but also not too hands-off where you feel lost! She was actually the last person I saw before I stepped out to walk down the aisle and she was so happy for us, fixed my dress, and reminded me to enjoy the moment. Gabby also helped me make some last-minute decisions to add some small touches to the reception space, that in my opinion, really made it elegant, but not over the top. She sent me no less than 12-15 photos of options since I wasn't able to be there in person and then took the time to talk through them with me over the phone. It had our guests were raving about how beautiful our venue was and that the food (beef short ribs/wingtip chicken/butternut squash ravioli) was spot on as well. Overall they were very easy to work with, payments were easy to make online, and Emily was a rockstar making sure our final table arrangement and seating made sense. It was the perfect place and I wish we could do it a million times over!

The space is romantic, whimsical, and perfectly designed for such a special and important event in your life. I burst into tears at our first visit to tour the location and am actually tearing up writing this review. I am so happy we chose this beautiful establishment to become husband and wife.

the water, etc…The price was competitive with all other similar sized downtown venues. Gabriella Panebianco took over as the main point of contact for us a few months from our wedding. She quickly brought herself up to speed and was incredibly professional and patient throughout the process. We had several last minute changes/questions the week of the wedding and she was completely accessible and handled all inquiries promptly. We did not hire a day of coordinator, nor did we need to. Gabriella was present on wedding day through dinner and provided a calming presence and made sure everything flowed correctly. The entire staff on site was incredibly kind to us and our guests. In particular, Steve the bartender went out of his way to take care of both of our parents all night. Bottom line, awesome place to get married and awesome people to work with.

me feel at ease. I loved how everything was on-site at the Nicollet Island Pavillion. I knew the venue was gorgeous, but seeing it in person was everything I could hope for. Gabriella joined my planning team two months before our wedding and we were in constant contact the entire time (again, we were out of state!). Even with a minor last-minute hiccup (on my part), Gabriella was there to support me and find a solution. I cannot overstate how integral she was to ensure everything ran smoothly. Our wedding was magical, the food was phenomenal, and our guests continue to rave about it today! Mintahoe is a spendy venture, but you will definitely get professional, experienced service and delicious food.

a ways out from our date so I let her know we had some time to get in touch and figure out our options. A few months later, I reached out with no response and after several attempts, I emailed a general contact and got notification she wasn't with the company. We were set up with another (who is no longer with the company), she asked our budget, then gave us a quote that was 4k over, when asked why it was so much over, she claimed our food was at our budget but the rest was various fees and charges. Asking about each fee out of curiosity, we we're met with "that's the industry standard" and "that's just how it is" after catching her in a few various backpedaling lies. (finally coming out with the fact that we were paying for the kickback to our venue for the exclusivity...) Figuring we were stuck with our only few options we decided to do the tasting. For a company who is trying to win over guests to use their business, serving cold and less than stellar food at a tasting and removing full glassware for alcohol (after pushing for bar packages..) from tables that were clearly still being used is not the best impression. The couple seated with us had the same Rep, she sat down cheerfully chatting with the couple then turned to us with a 'and now to chat with you guys sigh' was the deal breaker. Thankfully when reaching out to the other caterer for our venue we were treated respectfully and honestly. Mintahoe is not on the preferred/exclusive list for our venue this year, which was not much of a shock after our experience. Be honest with your customers on where their money is going, if you're going to charge your customers for your exclusive rights to cater a venue (that they have already paid for...)then wrap it into the cost of your overly expensive plates, not add line after line of fees and extra charges disguised as other things, that should be a deal strictly between you and the venue! If you use this company be vigilant and ask questions, know where your money is going. "industry standard" and "that's just the way it is" are NOT acceptable answers!

Our event captain was very observant, checking in with us throughout the night but not in an overbearing manner. Our guests consistently commented about how much they loved the food and the atmosphere. It was a whirlwind of an evening, and we wouldn't hesitate to do it again with the same team!

I am so thankful for Summit Manor and their partnership with Mintahoe that made for an incredible wedding experience for our daughter and new son-in-law! I am still hearing "rave's" about the venue, food and service from our guests!

It was costly, more than half of our total wedding, but at least we received the best service and the most beautiful event! The most amazing part was when it was time to dine, the food magically appeared all at the same time! I have never seen a catered event where no person was left waiting for their meal. Nothing was left for us to coordinate once we were in the good hands of Mintahoe. The asparagus puff pastry was the crowd favorite for appetizers, bartenders were friendly and professional and our dinners were beautifully presented and delicious. Our guests commented all night long on this beautiful and memorable event!

forget to include items I mentioned. Very frustrating especially when we got down to the wire (2 weeks out). The tasting was a let down. We were only able to try items already pre-selected for us. We didn't have any choice in the items we tasted. Therefore we felt we had to pick those food items because we hadn't tried anything else and didn't want to risk it for our guests. The day of the staff was frankly wonderful and did a great job. The food succeeded our expectations but only because we had very low expectations based on attending a wedding at Nicollet Island Pavillion where the food was literally cold. Also they did not provide glassware through dinner which was agreed upon in our proposal. All in all I'm glad that for our wedding the food was actually pretty good, warm, and our guests liked it! Also I appreciated how the staff was friendly and attentive.

And finally, and most importantly, the food was truly delicious! Our guests are still talking about the wonderful service and the yummy food. Mintahoe Catering is worth every penny! They will make your day very special and the food will please you and your guests :)

attentive during the entire evening. The appetizers were also very good that we had passed around during our cocktail hour. It was also nice that they put a little plate of the appetizers at the head table for us as we didn't really get to try them during the cocktail hour (with all the guests coming up wanting to chat with us). Now the things to improve upon. First, we really would have liked to have been able to sample a wider variety of food before our wedding. They didn't have many tastings we could go to in enough time before our wedding (most were only a few months before) and the one we went to didn't have any of the food we were thinking about for our wedding. We could have paid an extra (large) fee to have our own 'special' tasting but didn't want to do that. The drinks were VERY watered down from the bar at our wedding. Many of our guests complained about this actually. One guest ordered a shot just to get SOME liquor and the bartender actually put the shot over ice to reduce the amount of liquor given! For the large amount you pay for an open bar, this should NOT be the case. It was clear they were just trying to make as much money as possible on the bar by serving as little liquor as possible. The types of liquor were also very limited. But they were accommodating in adding a cordial for just the bride when requested (although this should really have just been part of the package for the price paid). Finally, about 3 weeks before the wedding we got an email from Mintahoe telling us that we hasn't met their 'minimum' charges for our wedding, and that we had to pay an additional about $1500 to meet our 'minimum'. Then they went on to tell us all the additional items we could purchase from them to meet this minimum. Luckily we went and took a look at our original contract we signed and there was no mention of a minimum. We told them this and they immediately removed it. So something for anybody working with them to watch out for, as I can only imagine how many people (in the very stressful last few weeks before the wedding) just end up paying this minimum when they shouldn't have to. PLEASE review your original contract. If they want to charge this, they need to put it in that contract. Overall Mintahoe was very overpriced for what you get. But we didn't have a choice as they were the vendor that was required with the venue we booked at (Van Dusen Mansion).

The food was exactly what we had asked for and tasted wonderful! Our favorite was the Butternut Squash Ravioli! In addition, the “Captain”, Raul, was incredible to work with! He had a smile on all day and had a demeanor to him that kept us calm and assured that he has everything under control. The bartenders, Stacy and Steve, were also wonderful! They always made sure my husband and I had a drink in our hand and were very personable! Overall, Mintahoe did an outstanding job and all of the staff were friendly and happy to be apart of our day! I would highly recommend using Mintahoe for your wedding!

I especially appreciated the apps being placed at our seats so we could grab a bite even though we missed cocktail hour. From beginning to end, the staff made sure we were happy and always asked if there was anything else we needed. We seriously have nothing but great things to say about working with Mintahoe and would highly recommend them to everyone.
