ABSOLUTELY LOVED the wedding pictures I got from MKL Images. Mary was so easy to work with and made the whole process so easy and amazing. Communication was great between Mary and my husband and I and I never had to wait more than a day for a response. On the actual day, Mary made sure that we got the pictures we had requested and went out of her way to pull us aside when the sun was going down so we could get the beautiful romantic pictures by the lake we had at our venue. My family was crazy and made it hard to get everything done but Mary made it possible. Would recommend to anyone looking for a photographer!

Mary was so amazing. We met beforehand and I was able to see a lot of her previous work. I loved how cheerful and bright all the other weddings she photographed were. That’s exactly what I wanted, and what I got. Love all of my photos, got them in an online gallery exactly 2 weeks after the wedding. She is quick to respond and helpful. She was on time for the photos, very professional, and made my day so much easier an enjoyable. She’s very reasonably priced, but you get MORE than what you pay for. Book her. You won’t regret it!

Mary is absolutely amazing! Not only is she an excellent and extremely talented photographer, she is a great person and treats her clients like friends. It was really important to us to have vendors that we connected with - especially our photographer as we knew we would spend a lot of our special day with them! The minute we met Mary she put us at ease. She is extremely organized and she knows what she is doing. She structures everything throughout the whole wedding planning process so that it goes smoothly and painlessly on the wedding day. Wedding planning was extremely stressful for me but Mary was such a huge help throughout the process that it gave me one less thing to worry about. I HATE being photographed. I also hate photographers. I find them irritating and intrusive. Mary is the best photographer I have ever met. Not only are our pictures better than we imagined, but she actually helped move the day along without a hitch. When we first met her, she said that she helps coordinate the day so it is about you, not the pictures. She does this perfectly. We barely remember being photographed, but there are plenty of gorgeous images that my wife and I agree perfectly reflect our wedding day.

If you're anything like me, you read the reviews, checked out their pictures, and to be honest, there are a lot of great options so how on earth could you pick THE one to capture your day?! From the very first message I sent Mary, I was hooked. She has personality for days and has the ability to make you feel like you've known her forever. She promptly answered every question I had in detail through the planning process and she even brought to light things I wouldn't have even thought of. Mary made me feel 100% confident that not only would she capture our most important memories, but she was always open to my suggestions and opinions. Your big day will finally come, and with everything else going a million miles an hour, the last thing you want to worry about are your vendors. Mary was timely, meticulous with her shots of every aspect of our wedding, and beyond loved by all our other vendors. You might also be like me, and have a groom who has a fantastic smile, but the second you put a camera in front of him... other interesting faces appear :P. My husband met Mary the day of our wedding and had the exact same reaction I did...Haven't we known her for years?! She's lighthearted, fun loving and pretty darn hilarious. You can't help but smile around her! Not to mention, we're not all be model's by profession...but in front of Mary's lens, you sure feel like one! Her compliments are genuine and my husband and I could tell the entire day how much she loves what she does. It's hard not to be excited around people like that! Family members having a little too much "fun" to stay attentive for your family pics? No problem. Weather isn't perfect? No problem. Timeline of the day is running behind? No problem. Have a videographer too? No problem. With Mary, you honestly don't have to worry about a thing...she's THAT amazing. The day my husband (fiancé at the time) and I met Mary we both KNEW she would be our photographer. If you want a day of stress-free fun photography, then Mary is for you! Mary is kind, fully of energy and instantly put my worries and fears at ease. You can tell Mary LOVES what she does. After the wedding we eagerly awaited our photos..and then just days after we saw the sneak peak. I couldn't contain my excitement!! Now, I look back to the photos daily (they rotate on my computer screen) and I can't help but feel extremely grateful to Mary and all she did for us on our big day.

I found Mary from seeing a friend's wedding pictures. I reached out to Mary and knew the second i spoke with her that she would be my photographer and I couldn't be happier! Mary was so great to work with every step of the way! We met her for coffee and knew she was the photographer for us, she was fun and excited and super sweet. She even met up with us at the venue to do a walkthrough to make sure we were all on the same page before the wedding. She helped me make my timeline (which was harder than you think) and gave me great recommendations for other vendors, like our florist that we also loved! Mary is absolutely AMAZING!! She was so fun and easy to work with! She has plenty of photo ideas for people who are less creative like myself. Even my fiancé who HATES taking photos actually enjoyed the engagement photo session. A friend of ours had Mary do their engagement photos and they were absolutely beautiful!! So as a wedding gift they hired Mary for our wedding, and we were blown away. We had a small wedding at the downtown courthouse.. she captured not only our family and friends but took a bunch of scenic photos. We met that day and had so much fun! We received our photos within a week, CRAZY right?!? Thanks again for capturing our day!

Mary and MKL Images are simply the best!! I cannot say enough great things about her. My wedding pictures were nothing short of amazing! I got so many compliments about the photos from not only guest but many people who weren't there but felt like were due to the pictures. The first time I met her I truly felt like I was meeting with a friend. I already knew I loved the her style from the pictures of her work but meeting with her at my venue sealed the deal. She understood the feel and style of pictures that I liked, we even became friends on Pinterest so that she could see my wedding photography board that I started so she could really understand my vision. I'm a "I know what I like and how I like"kind of girl, ok so maybe a little of a control freak I admit it BUT with Mary I had no problems letting her take the reigns and was so confident in anything and everything she did and asked for during shooting. I never doubted her vision for my wedding pictures and trusted her completely which was a HUGE deal for me. My husband takes very little pictures and I was a bit worried about him taking so many pictures the day of and not knowing what to do or looking too posed in the pictures but Mary did an amazing job of directing him and he looks so handsome and relaxed in all the pictures. We had a pretty rowdy wedding party when it came to paying attention for pictures but she handled them perfectly and you would never be able to tell by looking at the pictures. She was not only extremely professional but constantly checked in with me before and even after the wedding, I truly felt that I had worked with and gained a friend. She is the absolute best and you will not regret working with her that I can PROMISE you. Where do I begin...because of my experience with MKL Images, I wouldn't choose any other photographer moving forward. Mary was my photographer for my engagement shoot and wedding. She is easy going yet professional, has a very clear vision, a contagious laugh and has a way of making you feel comfortable (which is nice for first timers in front of a camera), and makes every moment count. A couple of things I REALLY appreciated while working with Mary was the ideas/poses she had for both occasions and the fact that she welcomed my ideas as well! She is definitely no amateur, and it shows in her thought process and photo results. There's nothing better than being confident in the vendor you choose. I also really enjoyed her attitude. Nothing was impossible and she was willing to trek through a thorny field to get the right shot. I just recently got my photos back from my wedding, and I was so happy with them! I worked with Mary on a bridal shoot recently and I was SO impressed with her! I was very nervous at first, as I am not a model of any sort, but she put me at ease and had me laughing the whole time. Yes, we had a great time but that's not even mentioning how BEAUTIFUL the photos came out! Which is what is most important right? Mary has such an eye for lighting and originality! These weren't your standard everyday Bridal photos. Mary was hopping over fences, climbing through bushes, and being attacked by bugs just to get the perfect shot. All with a smile on her face. My fiance and I had our engagement pictures done with Mary from MKL images in August 2015. Our situation was a little different from most and Mary was very helpful, patient, and understanding through the entire process!! My fiance is in the Navy and had a port visit in San Diego in August. I flew out to San Diego from Maryland to meet him and was only out there for a week before I had to return home. We knew that we would have a very short window to get our pictures done and that there was a high probability that he may have to work during my time out in San Diego. I had to switch dates a couple times and Mary was SO accommodating. Knowing we had a short window she even kept two days open for us in case something should come up! I was a little nervous to fly across the country and get pictures taken, but Mary made it so easy. She provided detailed information and answered all my questions graciously. Most of the time I had a response within an hour of sending her a question (and there were many!). She made me feel very comfortable and ready to get our pictures taken. The day of our pictures my fiancé and I were very excited, but also had no idea what we were doing. I had provided Mary with a Pinterest page of ideas that she kept with her throughout the shoot to help guide us and ensure that all the pictures we wanted to take had been done. For the most part though we left the poses up to her and her artistic ability! She made us feel very comfortable and was very personable with us. She even took the time to get to know our story and share hers with us. We had so much fun taking our pictures that the session flew by! We didn’t want it to end! Throughout the session it was easy to tell how passionate Mary is about photography. She got so excited over some of the shots and even when we were all done and walking back to our cars if she saw a scene she liked, she had us get out there and take more pictures! Some of these ended up among our favorite shots! We started taking pictures at Joe’s Crab Shack and walked towards the Oceanside beach where we took pictures with the sunset in the background. The pictures came out beautiful and we have received many compliments on them! Mary did a sneak peak of our pictures within a few days of our session and had the rest of them to us in digital form within a week or so! It was much faster than we expected! The entire session was so much fun and a great memory that my fiancé and I share and hold dear. Mary is very personable, comforting, and fun! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. She is someone you can trust and that you want to continue to be friends with after the session. Mary even gave us both a hug to say goodbye! As neither of us are from California, we were sad to say goodbye and almost wish we were getting married in California so that we could have Mary at our wedding!! Where to start! Mary was fantastic and went above and beyond our expectations in every aspect. She took the time to share with us her portfolio work, got to know my fiance and I before our engagement photo session, and provided links and suggestions for outfits for us to wear! As your type A personality that lived across the country, this was very important to me and Mary accommodated everything! Mary was very prompt with responding to emails and providing answers to all the questions I had. The day of our engagement photos was seamless- Mary met us on location and immediately put our nerves at ease and made us laugh! My fiance and I felt like we were in pure bliss the entire time, laughing and having fun with each other in our own little bubble. Mary was very quick to turn around and provide with some sneak peek photos to share with our family and friends and just a couple short days later, we had the entire album! We were beyond pleased with all of the photos in our album and actually had the most difficult time picking our favorites! I was so amazed by the professionalism and perfections offered by Mary at MKL Images. From the moment we first met, I knew we would be the perfect fit. After meeting a few more photographers, none of them could compare to her. I loved her style, and especially her use of natural lighting. We hired her for our Engagement photo session and for our Wedding day. The Engagement photos turned out so amazing and I couldn't wait for my wedding day ones. I just received them and they have exceeded my expectation. I still don't understand how she makes everyone look incredibly beautiful on camera! Absolutely worth every penny spent!

Wow! I cannot give enough stars for Mary of MKL Images. Mary is such a warm and genuine person, right from the start. She went the extra mile for everything, from our engagement pictures, to coming to view our wedding venue with us. She sat with us and talked to us about what kind of photos we wanted, who we wanted in them, and the scenery of the venue. She even brought all the little things (invitations, bridal shower favor, etc.) to the wedding, in order to take detail shots! She is professional, and knows exactly what to do. She was quick in getting our photos back to us, and excellent at communicating with us. She was patient and kind, as I asked her many questions, and kept bugging her to see the photos (I was very impatient!!!). My husband and I really enjoyed working with Mary. We planned a very small last minute wedding at the Botanical Gardens in Encinitas, we only had two months to plan. Luckily Mary was available! My mother came in contact with her through mutual friends and knew I would like her since with both enjoy art. We had a short meeting about what we liked our wedding photos to be like and she was very personable. I wanted a casual wedding because I was somewhat nervous and I have never had photos taken of myself. In the end Ryan and I really enjoyed working with her, she listened to everything we wanted and also had great ideas. We ended up taking photos at our venue, at our small reception, and at a cool bar across the way. We have received our photos and love them! You can hardly tell we had a tiny wedding with just a dinner reception following it.
