I had the pleasure of working with Mr. H...ospitality for my June 25th, 2022, wedding. I purchased the month of coordination package. By the time I decided to get a wedding planner I had already booked the Rose Garden at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden for the ceremony, and Akwaaba Mansion in Brooklyn for the reception. I am one of those late in life brides who did not have visions of weddings -ever. I knew that I wanted something simple, elegant and something undeniably ours. I do project management for a living- so I thought I’d be able to handle wedding planning. Never have I been so happy to delegate then when I decided to hire Mario and his team of miracle workers- Kristina (I will FOREVER be grateful to you), Kiara, and Sam (you are AMAZING!). First of all, by the time I met with Mario, I had already been in contact with four other planners. Did I mention I started looking for planners two months before my wedding? I decided to go with Mario’s team because during the initial meeting/interview his calm demeanor, his listening skills, and his lack of pushiness made me feel comfortable. I was a nervous wreck, and I had so many questions before I decided to go with Mr. Hospitality. They answered them quickly and completely!
Let me tell you. They jumped right on in. Professional, punctual, and personable. At our first in person meeting at the Mansion where I got to meet Mario and Kristina- I knew I was in good hands! First of all, you want a team that can see your vision- and expand on it. Both Mario and Kristiana shared so many good ideas at that first meeting – I was excited for the first time! Kristina is like no other. I miss her right now. She is smart, a design maverick, calm and able to handle any crisis (my menus had not arrived three days before and I was a wreck- she handled it). The design plan they created took my Pinterest ideas and made it a vision of loveliness. Loveliness. I mean I was AMAZED. I had no floral person- no worries they had that covered! I wanted to get my guests from the garden to the mansion and they connected me with the trolley service! We had an unconventional ceremony in the garden. I had an idea of how I wanted things to go and both Mario and Kristina listened to me- and showed me an alternative way that would be good for the videography. I had no idea that I needed to even think about photo lines… They even showed up to practice on Father’s Day!!! Early. The day of the wedding I kicked my heels off to walk the garden barefoot at the last minute. Guess who had my too expensive to leave shoes? Mario. They had EVERYTHING covered. Sam jumped right on in and handled the groomsmen mishap with so much finesse- no one knew they messed up! Also, at the reception she was on her knees cleaning up a mess my daughter made- you can’t buy that level of dedication!! During the reception I had no worries. Everything and I mean Everything was STUNNING and amazing. Kristina kept everything on time and running smoothly!
