We had the absolute pleasure of working with Sarah Wang and her team from My Wedding Songbird (MWS) for our belated marriage celebration. From start to finish, Sarah’s expertise, dedication, and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the planning process.
We had three events planned over the course of three days, all at different venues, so it was a LOT of coordination with many, many vendors. Sarah and her team absolutely crushed it at each event and made sure that all of our vendors were set up for success before and during each event. We were under no illusion that opting for full planning service meant zero work for us, because we certainly still had a lot to do and coordinate on our end due to the nature of our events. But one thing's for sure - we never could have pulled off what we did without Sarah and her team. I cannot even begin to list all the ways in which Sarah saved us time, money, headache, labor, and stress. Each of our events were better than we could have imagined, and all the vendors that she recommended were fantastic. In addition, it was very apparent that vendors loved working with her, which made our lives so much easier.
We opted for the full planning service, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Sarah helped us secure the perfect venues, coordinating with and visiting our venues with us or on her own when we couldn't go. She had an incredibly detailed and helpful workbook that she would guide us through in each of our monthly planning meetings, and she provided exceptional vendor recommendations. Her communication and coordination with us and with vendors were impeccable, and she ensured that everything ran smoothly and according to plan.
On the day of our main reception, Sarah truly shone as our bilingual English-Chinese emcee, and her two other staff members, Kim and Chanel, did a wonderful job as day-of coordinators. Sarah's, Kim's, and Chanel's professionalism and warm demeanors made everyone feel at ease, and their ability to seamlessly manage the day's events was remarkable. Sarah’s bilingual skills were an enormous asset, allowing all our guests to feel included and engaged. They also took care of all the logistics of vendor unloading/loading, communication, etc., and really made sure that we didn't have to worry about event logistics on the day of. Truly a gift to be able to fully focus our time and attention on our guests throughout the weekend.
Sarah and her team at MWS went above and beyond to make our celebration weekend perfect. Her creativity, organization, and unwavering support turned our vision into reality, and we are forever grateful for her hard work. If you are looking for a wedding planner who is not only highly skilled but also deeply passionate about making your day special, look no further than Sarah Wang and her team at My Wedding Songbird.
Thank you, Sarah, for making our weekend a dream come true!
As a wedding industry professional, I only work with the best! You will absolutely be in good hands going with the team at My Wedding Songbird. Their attention to detail is top-notch. Kimberly and Sarah for the win!
This is a long overdue review! Sarah and her team are AMAZING! I have to say I was skeptical about hiring a wedding planner and day of coordinator in the beginning. Now I have to say, IT IS SO WORTH IT! Sarah is very professional, friendly, and easy to work with. She is also a very kind person. Her team on the day of the wedding is extremely helpful for everything. I cannot thank her and her team enough for delivering such a wonderful wedding for me and my husband!
As an Officiant I have worked with many planners and I can say enthusiastically that Sarah and her team are Top Notch. First they were a joy to work with are the ultimate professionals and are creative , organized and all the while patient and kind. I was treated with dignity and respect ..so greatly appreciated.
Their follow up and follow through are First Rate. I hope to have the good fortune to work with them again and again.
I am in the cake business for more than 19 years, delivering cakes to many places and working with many wedding planners and coordinators I want to say that Sarah impressed me very much! and I can tell she is one of the best coordinators I had been working with all this time.
She is an excellent communicator, she helped me with everything I need it yesterday from the delivery time until I finished with the cake decorations, she made my work very easy and smooth.
Thanks, Sarah for all your help!! I had a great pleasure working with you yesterday!!
All the best,
Martha from Artistic Cakes.
Sarah and her team are an absolute joy to work with. They are all very positive, friendly, professional, funny (added bonus), and really care about their clients and guests having an amazing time. If you’re looking for a team to help make your vision a reality AND make you feel special on your wedding day then this is the perfect fit for you.
Sarah is a fantastic coordinator and MC! She is fast with communication, friendly, extremely organized, thoughtful, and creative. We loved how positive she was from start to finish and felt at ease the day of the wedding. Her team worked really hard to make the wedding day perfect! Thank you for being such a great planner to work with, Sarah!
Sarah, Chanel and Alyssa were an amazing team from the start! I originally didn't have a coordinator as it wasn't really in my budget, but I was told I had to have one! MWS was referred by the LA Arboretum. I am so glad they did as the girls went above and beyond for our wedding. I am so thankful and grateful to have met them and hope to continue our friendship!
I'm a professional officiant and recently had the pleasure of working with Kimberly at My Wedding Songbird. She and her team were exceptional! Every detail was thoughtfully considered and handled with graceful collaboration. Additionally, her communication was timely, organized and professional. The wedding we did together went off without a hitch, and anytime I needed anything Kimberly was always two steps ahead, having already thought if it and was usually already in the process of handling it. I look forward to working with her, and the team at Songbird, again soon!
We hired Sarah for wedding coordination and MC services for our wedding at Greystone Mansion, LA. She was fantastic to work with, organized and proactive from the get-go. My husband and I work super busy jobs, on top of that, we are based in Boston so we were planning this wedding completely remotely. We were often delayed in responding or put off details until very last minute - Sarah took it all in stride and gently but firmly reminded us when things were due so we don't miss any deadlines! She was responsive to our requests and questions, and the day came together flawlessly. Sarah was also a great MC - we had a bilingual wedding, and a lot of our family appreciated that she switched flawlessly from Mandarin to English. She was so much fun that our guests actually thought she was one of our friends that we enlisted to MC our wedding!
TL;DR: 11/10 would hire My Wedding Songbird again and recommend them to get things done.
I had been working with Sarah and her team at My Wedding Songbird for the last six months for my wedding. After I booked my venue in August I thought I was close to done. Then I was overwhelmed with questions and inquiries about everything else I was supposed to do and I realized I wasn’t even close to being done. Once my shock had passed and I was coherent again I asked my husband’s sisters for advice. They gave me 4 planner to contact. Sarah was the only one to respond with such warmth and kindness that I knew I was already tethered to her.
I had no vision for my wedding but through conversations, simple questionnaires, and zoom meetings, Sarah was able to visualize my wedding for me. As calm as I started in our initial meetings, I freaked out each month because I’m disorganized and have short attention. Sarah was always there for me when I needed her. She reassured me that everything was going to be fine and handled everything. Even with all these last minute changes that my family and my husband’s family wanted to do they were so patient and got things done efficiently.
Winding down to the last 3 days of the wedding we were facing the storm in California and Kimberly, the month of coordinator, braved the storm and pulled a hat trick for our entire ceremony. She had to work with all the vendors to change the entire schedule. I had already mentally clocked out by that time, so I can’t express how much gratitude and appreciation I have for the women at My Wedding Songbird to give me such a dream. I had no idea what my wedding was going to look like and it was a vision with the twinkling lights, all the candles, and contracting decor.
As stressful as it all was, I’m having withdrawals from receiving their emails and I miss them. I hope to meet with them again in the future for other events. Until then, I’m truly honored to have worked with Sarah and Kimberly and my heart has been blessed by them. I love you guys!
Sarah and her team had brought our wedding vision into a reality at Long Beach Museum of Art. For me, it was a magical experience. Sarah had truly created magic. Early on in the planning process, I was overwhelmed by the abundance of information, but Sarah put our minds and hearts to ease by answering all the questions we have, in every step of the way. We loved that she includes the coordination for the Tea Ceremony as well. She is responsive and given us great advice/suggestions throughout the whole process. She had also given us a new perspective on wedding planning and also connected us to amazing vendors!
I had the opportunity to work with Sarah, Kimberly and Tina from the Wedding Songbird on Feb 18th at the Long Beach Museum of Art and I was very impressed by their professionalism and expertise. They were **outstanding**. They communicated clearly and promptly throughout the planning process and provided me with all the information and resources I needed. They also coordinated everything seamlessly on the day of the wedding and made sure it was a success. They were courteous and respectful. Sarah, Kimberly and Tina from the Wedding Songbird are truly exceptional and I would love to work with them again.
We just finished another wedding together the pass weekend at Long Beach Art museum. I worked with Sarah, Tina and their team many times before. As usual, they always very professional and pay attention to every details, not just the wedding guests but also all the vendors who work with them.
Again, always great experience working with Wedding Songbird! Hope to see you guys again soon.
We recently had the pleasure of working with Tina and her team for a beautifully planned wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art. They were so kind and attentive to not just our lovely couple but all the vendors as well. We look forward to many more events with this awesome planning team!
We had the pleasure of working with Sarah and her team for a recent wedding this past Saturday! Sarah's team is very organized, friendly, and accommodating to every vendors needs. Thank you Sarah for your hard work it's greatly appreciated we will be adding you to our referral list!
My Wedding Songbird (Sarah and Kimberly) were day-of-coordinators at one of the weddings OurStrings4You provided live music services at. Sarah and her team were very friendly and accommodating to us. I received all the needed information from her before the wedding day - a playlist of the requested songs, timeline and other needed information. The ceremony processional went smoothless due to great communication and coordination between us. I love working with caring and responsible planners. Sarah is one of them! I saw how kind the laddies of My Wedding Songbird were with the guests while their arrival. Sarah and her team will take care of you, your family and guests through out the whole celebration with ease. I'm looking forward to making more couples' weddings one of the happiest days of their lives together!
Great wedding planner! Our company, National Bartender Staffing have partnered with them many times to do events and plan to continue doing so in the future. Always organized and good with communicating details. Looking forward to doing more events together!
Amazing wedding planner, wonderful communication always responded in a timely matter. I would recommend Sarah.
A few months before the wedding things went haywire as our venues brought us unforeseen challenges that even caused us to move our reception location. I was in full-blown crisis mode and knew I needed to find a wedding planner with experience and a personality to quell my anxiety.
I am incredibly grateful to the team at Wedding Song Bird for helping us find vendors and booking them swiftly. My partner and I would not have made it across the finish line without them.
With their involvement, our wedding was a breeze. They worked on details that I had not even foreseen coming. Their inventory of wedding decorations really helped save budget and made our reception a much more beautiful space than I could have ever expected!
Thank you to the Wedding Songbird Team, especially to the lead Sarah + Kimberly our day of coordinator.
If you're looking for a wedding planner/coordinator who is dedicated and on top of everything, you can stop looking because Sarah is your girl.
We're from Chicago and wanted to have a destination wedding. Although we wanted a destination wedding, we still wanted to include our traditional tea ceremony so we wanted to find an Asian wedding planner who would have experience with fitting that into the wedding day. After speaking with Sarah on the phone and seeing how she was super personable and experienced, we decided to book her.
During the whole planning process, we conducted all our meetings over Zoom and Sarah was very accommodating with the time difference. She was super patient and flexible with us throughout, even when we had to change our destination 3 times due to personal reasons (I was freaking out but she remained calm and told me everything will work out, which it did). Sarah was also very responsive over email and texts so we always knew what was going on with vendors and whatnot. Since I'm very indecisive and wasn't too picky about details, she was always willing to offer her advice/input, which I appreciated.
We had our wedding on the island of Oahu and everything turned out so beautiful. Prior to the big day, Sarah accompanied us on our venue and some vendor visits in Hawaii. She also helped us by picking up and transporting our signages and other miscellaneous decorations from LA to Hawaii. On the day of, Sarah and Chanel, her assistant, made sure all the guests and vendors knew where to go and did their best to stay on schedule. Sarah and Chanel also helped decorate the chapel for our Chinese/Vietnamese tea ceremony. Chanel did the Cantonese translation for the ceremony and I heard she did a good job (I only know Vietnamese so this is based on what my husband and guests told me haha).
The wedding was a BLAST and dreamy and we couldn't have done it without Sarah. I really wish I could relive the day. We're so grateful and happy to have worked with Sarah and her team.
We are so glad and grateful My Wedding Songbird (MWS) was our bilingual officiant and coordinator for our wedding. MWS is so great at what they do that I am writing this review during a flight on our honeymoon. :)
Our event felt very genuine and reflected to us as a couple; we have Sarah to thank for much of it. Sarah is well-experienced, takes pride in her business, has an incredible eye for all the details, and will make your special day feel easy for you!
COORD PREP HIGHLIGHTS
— You can begin your email communication with MWS 8 weeks from the day of your wedding. This model is 2x sooner than others’ and allows both parties to get to know eachothers’ styles ahead of time, making the final 4 weeks prior to the wedding even smoother.
— Sarah is prompt and clear with her communication. She is hard to beat when it comes to turnaround time. This applied to both communication with us as the couple and together with other vendors.
— When preparing our site layout, Sarah suggested lawn furniture be placed in an area that could serve as seating for our elderly guests during cocktail hour, while also doubling as a vendor meal area so they could remain close just in case. This ended up playing well in our favor, as one of our vendors were able to quickly respond when we ran behind on our photos timeline.
— MWS provides an invaluable Google Drive folder with template and cheatsheets. It is a lifesaver for getting organized and consulting when you might feel overwhelmed!
COORD DAY-OF HIGHLIGHTS
— MWS comes exceptionally prepared to the day-of the event. You know how there are some tour guides who amaze their guests by remembering all names in having just been introduced once? Sarah was like that with our decor. I had provided a brief inventory list prior, but had also brought extra items as well— I had assigned a purpose to each item, withOUT labeling them as such, except for one basket. Sarah quickly understood after seeing all the decor in person without explanation, including the extra items I had probably surprised her with, and only asked me about the one purposeless basket.
— Beautiful execution and decor placement. I had printed custom coasters, and gave authorization to just have them placed *somewhere*. Sarah surprised us by tucking them into each reception napkin! This was a wonderful surprise on the day-of, and meaningfully honored two guests who could not join us on the day-of.
— Sarah AND her team were alert and attentive at all times during the event.
OFFICIANT HIGHLIGHTS
— The process is easy. Once you have booked with Sarah, you can fill out a form with thoughtful prompts to draw our the details of your story as a couple. MWS will create a draft closer to the day-of and correspond with you for tweaks.
— Seamless transitions between Mandarin and English with an affable and charming demeanor. We received many compliments about her!
FINAL THOUGHTS
Sarah is an effective communicator who can do it all. She makes for a great balance between leveraging technology while also ensuring the human touch. She provided gold-star customer service throughout the whole process, never making us feel like we were a bother— even in a very busy wedding season.
We had great comfort knowing Sarah was at the helm of directing the pace and vibe of our ceremony, while also being able to provide support to our non-English-speaking guests throughout the event.
Look no further for your coordinator and/or officiant. My Wedding Songbird is it!
After a lot of research and a few interviews with other planners, we hired Sarah as our partial planner/day of coordinator. I felt that she was the most personable of the bunch - she asked questions about us during the initial call that gave me a good sense that she was trying to 'learn' us, likes/dislikes, etc. and most importantly, she was within and understood our budget from the start. It was also important to us that our planner have experience with Asian weddings and spoke fluent Chinese as that was where our reception would be.
I had already started researching other things that I had and explained that + what I needed help with. I know some people are hesitant about getting a planner (STRONGLY recommend getting a day of coordinator at least!!), but after this experience, I would highly recommend it. Sarah was such an amazing resource and her spreadsheet/monthly meetings kept us in check on the time line. I consider myself as a very organized person, but life can be overwhelming as it is, let alone planning a large event like a wedding.
Her team was also amazing. On the day of, Tina was a big help in filling for Sarah and my bridal assistant (Sarah's assistant), Cleo was so amazingly awesome. Cleo seriously thought of everything we needed all day from the photo shoot to the reception, from swapping out my heels to hydrating and taking breaks. We also had 2 others from the MWS team on the day of too. Overall, Sarah and her team were fantastic and I'm so glad that we went with them!
I’m confused because Sarah’s other reviews are so glowing & positive.
I chose her because a friend of a friend hired her for a multi-cultural wedding banquet, which was gorgeous. From the beginning, I was up-front that I didn't mind doing legwork, but that I needed help. I had said if this was for my best friend, I could be the planner & coordinator, but since it's for me and my best friend is abroad, I needed help navigating rentals, vendors, day-of.
As a hands-on, creative problem-solver like myself, she did not step-up where expected (or outlined in the contract) until mere days before our wedding.
TL/DR version:
4 helpful things Sarah did:
Had our day-of signage printed, saving us $60. Table setting mock-up. Convinced venue to store some chairs out of sight at the last minute. Loaned us items from her inventory.
6 things I did as the bride, but had expected the “partial planner / coordinator” to help or provide input on:
1. Created layouts/seating charts for ceremony/reception
2. Created day-of timeline 2 mos ahead. Sarah’s input was suggesting we cut the cake BEFORE we sat down to eat dinner.
3. Determined rental items. Sarah didn’t provide input until 1 wk prior.
4. Determined the number of staff she needed, including hrs/rate.
5. 48 hrs pre-wedding, she had not gathered COIs (certificate of insurance) from vendors, which were due 2 wks prior. Her own was submitted only 5 days prior. 4 vendors she had worked with before.
6. I paid for extra folks to help her steam linens. Seeing photos of the wedding, the tablecloths have hard creases and don’t appear to be steamed.
10 issues indicating a lack of being detail-oriented or engaged:
1. At rehearsal, she asked about things already set for 2+ mos. She asked how to identify VIPs. I said there’s a tab in the spreadsheet. She got defensive and said it wasn’t there. But it was.
2. Had cringey moment w/caterer in 1st group mtg. She made judgmental comments about officiant.
3. Guests asked if this was her 1st wedding. They said everyone else was on-point, but the “girls with headsets” seemed confused.
4. For the tea ceremony, I found most of my guidance on Google. My husband asked her to give his parents a little primer to ease their nerves & she offered zero help.
5. Her team forgot the boutonnieres in fridge.
6. Cake table wasn’t moved into guest view. I called everyone to gather/watch us cut cake. Drapery wasn't secured out of the way properly.
7. Sarah approached me about staff being stuck in parking lot, with a tone suggesting it was my fault. The issue was a shift change. Blaming me in the middle of my wedding was uncool.
8. Sarah alerted us the bartender was out of wine while servers behind her poured wine for guests. Problem was solved before she approached us.
9. Sarah’s team never retrieved the cash envelopes I had for vendors. They sat in my bag all night. A fail for her commitment to vendors.
10. As we were heading home, Sarah told us that she wasn’t taking the bins of decor w/her. We drove home, unloaded our car, returned to the venue for the bins. Sarah tried to leave before we returned, but my MOH and cousin insisted she stay to help load car. Friends/family would have done it, but the news came after everyone left.
These things aren't misunderstandings. 1 or 2 things. Sure. Maybe even 3. But it all adds up to something bigger. There was a contract & a few thousand dollars exchanged. The only thing she was timely about were her invoices.
We hired Sarah for officiant and MC services and she was absolutely amazing! During our planning process, Sarah was very responsive and was accommodating of all our requests. She also gave us a lot of tips for our unique bouquet game that she MC’ed for. We loved the script that she made for us (both English and Chinese) and she executed it so well! It was light-hearted but also romantic – exactly what we were hoping for. She was lovely to work with and was so friendly that all our guests thought we knew her before this. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant and/or MC!
I booked Sarah for a day-of-coordination service and was so happy with her! I booked her due to her being bi-lingual and because she had past experience at Lunasia, the chinese banquet hall I had my wedding at. She set my partner and I up with a template timeline and Google Drive leading up to the 6-week countdown. Once it came close to the date her team dove into our plans and were very helpful in checking our work and handling all the decor that we had purchased. She set it up exactly like how I requested. I liked that she was able to help communicate with the Chinese staff as much as she could because she knew some Canto. Her team is soooo amazing, too - on the day of it was obvious she briefed them really well because they all kept the show running so smoothly and there were 0 hiccups (at least that I knew of!). Finally, I love that she had a great recommendation for a last minute hair and makeup artist that I needed. She is really knowledgeable about wedding timelines and is not afraid to speak up when she has a concern - I appreciate that about her! 100% would recommend her to other brides.
Sarah was our officiant on our wedding day. We needed an officiant who speaks both English and Chinese (Mandarin) fluently, and found Sarah! Coincidentally, we are from the same neighborhood in Los Angeles, so we instantly realized it was meant to be.
Sarah met with us to get to know us. She not only used survey to better learn about us as a couple, but asked a lot more questions when we met in person. She was able to work a lot of the details we shared into our wedding ceremony.
Sarah also gave us both the Chinese and English script for review prior to our wedding and was extremely professional when we worked together.
Even though she was quiet the first time you meet her, she was so fun and bubbly during our wedding. Our guests loved her jokes & raved about the bi-lingual experience.
Overall highly recommend working with her!
Sarah was amazing! All of my guests were impressed with her script and bilingual speech. Top of my list of recommendations.
Sarah from My Wedding Songbird was a literal Godsend for our wedding - our Lady Savior from above! I would start a church in her name if I could.
We first booked Sarah as our officiant and day-of coordinator in 2019 from a word-of-mouth referral (yes, she was that popular). From the first meeting, she came off as someone who cared deeply for her clients and made us feel very comfortable, even though we were in way over our heads by trying to plan our own wedding & didn't know any better. Thankfully, she was always happy to offer expert advice whenever we needed a nudge in the right direction. When we had to postpone due to the pandemic, Sarah was happy to move our dates no questions asked, and even sent us a lovely gift on our would-be wedding day.
While our big day drew close, her team started engaging us 6 weeks prior and laid out very organized & detailed spreadsheets to document every minute detail of the event.
As an officiant, Sarah was hilarious, charming, and incorporated a ton of personal details into the script that not only made our ceremony extra memorable, but also kept all the guests laughing and entertained. Not to mention her Mandarin & vocal skills were both on point. I lost count of how many guests had told us how great of an officiant she was after the wedding!
For the day of coordination, I won't go into everything she and her team of 3 wonderful assistants (Demi, Patricia, and Anna) did because they did so much, but I would say a good way to tell if your coordination team did an amazing job is if you (bride/groom) had a great time and didn't have answer a single question from the vendors the entire evening. And that's exactly what happened. We had a blast and didn't have to worry about a thing! Well, we did have to put up with vendors constantly pestering us about how great a job Sarah and her team did throughout the night :P
A few things worth noting:
1. We had a ton of DIY decors that needed Sarah's help to set up, and she did an amazing job, especially with our dessert and welcome tables where we left her very little instructions.
2. We actually ran out of bottled water a few times throughout the evening, and her team went out and got multiple cases for us right away.
3. Her entire team stayed all the way until the very end - I'm talking shutting the place down and turning off the lights - to diligently help us take down and pack away all the decors, and to make sure every last vendor cleanup goes smoothly.
4. Every single one of our vendors sang high praises for Sarah & her coordination team. That speaks for itself.
So, if you're looking for the officiant & day of coordinator of your dreams, look no further. If you don't think you need a day of coordinator, do yourself a favor and schedule a meeting with Sarah, ASAP.
Lastly, a huge THANK YOU to Sarah and My Wedding Songbird for everything you've done to help make our dream wedding become reality!
We planned our wedding in Arcadia, CA all the way from Boston, MA within 4 months and having Sarah and her team was key! They helped with recommending and finalizing our reception venue (a Chinese banquet hall), narrowing down and booking several of our many vendors, keeping our plans organized and of course ensuring that the day run smoothly! Sarah also helped with specific Chinese aspects of our wedding like providing resources for the tea ceremony and even reviewing a written translation of my maid of honor's speech. I can't recommend them enough!
We hired Sarah to help us plan and execute our unique wedding. I am Chinese and my Husband is Korean. We eloped in Kauai last year so for the wedding in Los Angeles, we wanted to incorporate our cultures instead of having a Western Wedding.
Our vision was inspired by the movie "In the Mood for Love" for its esthetic and 1960s Hong Kong vibes and Shanghai Nights. So we wanted to incorporate those esthetics with our wedding. We also wanted to incorporate Korean culture too. So Sarah really helped make our vision come to life.
She is very professional, organize, and helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process. She gave many recommendations to help us create our perfect wedding. She found vendors that worked with our budget and found vendors to create the perfect backdrop.
The outcome of the wedding was better than we ever envisioned. Her team was very professional, and everything went smoothly. Our wedding was not the easiest to plan. The restaurant we chose only gave us a 3-4hour window to set up, and Sara and her team were magicians. They turned a mediocre restaurant into a 1960s Shanghai Nights Theme Wedding, felt like we were in a movie!
Our friends, family, and the restaurant owners raved about our wedding, saying it was the most unique wedding experience they ever been a part of.
We hired MWS for partial planning and had Sarah officiate and emcee our wedding in both English and Mandarin. Sarah was great with the ceremony and the reception - she was funny, personal, and sentimental. Our family and friends loved it and had an amazing time. Sarah also connected us with vendors in our price range who all did a phenomenal job.
Sarah had contacted me to help her wedding couple with wedding day signage and stationary and it has truly been a pleasure to work with her. She is extremely attentive to all of her clients' needs, goes above and beyond for them, and never skips a beat. She made sure that everything was perfect and even picked up all of the items for her couple from me on numerous occasions. She is sweet and so nice to work with. You would be so lucky to have her as a planner and I am so grateful to be able to work with her.
We are so glad that we have found Sarah as our wedding planner. She has been very attentive, involving and guiding us through every step of the way. We have told friends many times during the wedding planning process that Sarah was the best investment we made! She was incredibly thorough and asked things we never even thought about. She was so easy to work with and never made anything seem like a big deal.
With Sarah, it was perfect in our situation (bilingual was a big plus), a one-stop shop - we used her as the wedding planner + officiant + MC. And so, throughout the process she got to know us better, and was able to make some funny jokes during the ceremony and reception, keeping our guests entertained. We had a great turned out, all the design/theme was perfect, our guests were having fun the whole time - eating ~ drinking ~ & playing!
We don’t know how she does it, but Sarah has a very calming sense and never seemed stressed. She does a lot of work behind the scenes that you don't see but this girl gets things done! We had an emergency came up just 2 days before the wedding. Our rental vendor broke the wine glasses we rented, and there weren’t enough for our event. This was not the thing we wanted to hear just right before the big day. Magically, Sarah was able to source another vendor within a couple of hours and made us worry free. She absorbed so many big and little tasks and we never had to wonder or second guess anything because she is so good at her job!!!
Working with Sarah was great from beginning to end. She really listens to what the client wants and does detailed work until your event is perfect. I highly recommend Sarah as a wedding planner if you're looking for someone fresh with ideas, excited and passionate for what she does, you will not be disappointed.
Sarah was the day-of coordinator and officiant for our wedding. We started communicating and project managing the wedding months in advance. Sarah is easy to work with, very responsive, and communicated well from when we contacted her initially to the very end of the wedding. She has provided the right planner tool, vendor recommendations, and countless tips while we plan for the event. We also did a wedding rehearsal in advance to be fully prepared. I also picked Sarah since she's close by the wedding venue and familiar with the area. There are so much details go into a wedding (even a small wedding without reception!) I highly recommend to work with an experienced professional like Sarah to plan out the event and avoid any surprises.
We also enjoy Sarah's officiant services. Her voice is clear and the pace is just right. Sarah is also fluent in both English and Mandarin, which is another reason to work with her since our ceremony is bi-lingual.
Sarah was awesome in planning our wedding! We had our wedding in LA, but we were living in the northeast. We knew planning a wedding from the opposite coast would be difficult and struggled to figure things out from such a distance. Sarah was such a great help and we are so happy we chose to work with her. She introduced us to so many great vendors and was able to put together all the disjointed pieces of our ideas and inspirations into something beautiful and whole. It was an amazing day and we couldn't have done it without her!
Sarah performed as the MC at my association’s Lunar New Year banquet (260 guests). She came to a couple of the planning meetings when been asked. She was very responsive, returned emails, texts and phone calls in a timely manner. She was easy to work with, flexible, has good manners, passionate and wanted to see the event to be as successful as possible, she not only wanted to do a good job on her part. She volunteered her time to create the timeline. When been asked about the script she responded “ I like having some creative freedom because being a MC it’s more interesting if you react to whatever is happening at the moment, can’t predict the crowd before hand,..” I have to say that she is right. Sarah is a very experienced MC, not only she reacts to the crowd very well, she also can attract and lead the crowd, the program went very smoothly and on time, all guests had a wonderful time.
She was up on the stage pretty much the whole night, she gave the welcome remarks; introduced the elected officials, VIPs and sponsors. She ran the raffles; introduced all performers and sang a few songs. She had total control of the time, crowd and program, She spoke well and dressed well, she was polite, humorous, funny, lively and vibrant. She worked very hard, kept guests focus on the program. At the end I asked her that have you eaten anything? She replied “No”, that just showed you how engaged and devoted she was.
Anyway, in my opinion, Sarah is a person with a good heart, she is reasonable, she went above and beyond to make sure our event is a successful one. She treated our event as her own event. Always has smile on her fact, behave very appropriately, conducted the event in a fun and professional way. I really appreciated and am thankful for her services to my association.
Sarah was our wedding coordinator, and did MC duties. We choose the day-of package. Overall very helpful, it would definitely be a lot more stressful without her! She has experience which is what you pay for. For example, how to manage the crowd, the games to play and when to do them, and how to handle relatives and various types of people and vendors. We did some things ourselves but a coordinator/MC is someone you want to hire, ideally someone experienced. Would recommend!
