My now husband and I got married a couple weeks ago at Navy Beach and we are so happy with the experience! We spend summers out east and got engaged in East Hampton so it was very important for us to get married out there as well. No other venue out east had the same relaxed vibe and beautiful view as Navy Beach. Location alone, it was a no brainer to secure our wedding at this venue. Franklin and his team were incredibly responsive through the entire process including choosing menus, band set up, seating advice and ceremony ideas. He also suggested several vendors including flowers, taxis, and hotel which we took him up on and were very happy with. Franklin was patient with my crazy timeline and questions and helped us navigate and plan an amazing event. We got married the first weekend in May and the weather was not looking good. However, Franklin calmed my nerves and encouraged us to continue with the original plan of ceremony outside on the beach. Our families traveled from all over to come out east to see us get married on the beach and the weather gods smiled down on us and we had a gracious window to successfully have our ceremony outside. Our guests said it was absolutely gorgeous, and the food was amazing! We danced the whole night and Franklin and his team took care of everything. They were attentive, supportive, laid back and down to earth; the exact energy a bride and groom are looking for on their big day. We highly suggest getting married at Navy Beach and plan to head there for lunch each time we make it to Montauk! Thank you again to the entire team at Navy Beach! An unforgettable experience all around!
My husband and I chose Navy Beach for our wedding and it was truly the most beautiful, special day of our lives. The team at Navy beach was so helpful, the best communication, and on top of every detail. It was like a dream come true start to finish. The guests loved everything and so did we! I truly can’t recommend them enough! The food and drinks blow any catering hall out of the water and you cant get a more beautiful setting! They were also great at helping us stay within our budget with many options. Best day ever!
Navy Beach is such a unique venue for a laidback, fun and memorable wedding. We unfortunately had to move our wedding date from May 2020 to May 2021 due to COVID, and Franklin was very helpful throughout the whole process. Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious the food was and how attentive the staff at Navy Beach were throughout the night, and I'm still receiving compliments two weeks later. It was the absolute best day and the sunset pictures turned out incredible. I would not change one thing. Thank you to Franklin, Liz and the entire team at Navy Beach for making our wedding dreams come true!
Any questions?
If you are looking for a beautiful view, exceptional staff and great food for a Montauk wedding look no further. Thank you Franklin , Liz, Domingo and the entire staff for the perfect wedding day. Carlos and I can't stop thinking about how perfectly everything went and we wish we could do it all over again. All our dreams came true including a beautiful Montauk sunset . Can't wait to come back next year to celebrate our anniversary.
First the good parts, food was excellent, sunset/outdoor area was perfect and staff was for the most part accommodating.
Now the not so good part. About two months prior to the wedding the general manager let me know that there were noise violations against the restaurant and it wouldn't be possible to have the band play outside for the party. He said we could move the band inside, which wasn’t a realistic option, since the space inside is small with very low ceilings, not ideal for a 10-piece band or dancing. We had already rented a 10K tent for the band. He really didn’t have an option for us, and we didn't need this stress two months prior to the wedding.
I am in event planning, so came up with a solution. I suggested we move the wedding to 2:30pm, 4 hours earlier, since the band was permitted to play outside until 7:30pm. He said that was an option, but then we would have to rent the space for both lunch and dinner and it would cost an additional $2,500, added on to what we had already paid for the space, $7,000. This doesn’t even include the food, drinks, tips and taxes that we were already paying. I thought he was kidding. The violations were his fault and he wanted me to pay to start earlier? He wouldn’t waive this cost and really left us no choice. We were upset that we wouldn’t be able to have our sunset wedding ceremony as planned, but with only two months to go it was too later to change the venue. In addition to this cost, I needed to re-order and send invitations with the new time, which also cost us an additional $500.
We made the best out of the situation and started the ceremony at 2:30pm and the band started at 3:00pm. The schedule, which the manager reviewed and approved a week prior, had the band playing until 7:30pm, but at 7:00 pm on the dot they shut the band down.
Did this whole fiasco ruin our wedding? No. The band was amazing, even if we only got to hear them for 4 hours, when we paid for 6. What really upset me the most...spending almost 50K at Navy Beach and not a call or email post-wedding to check on whether we were happy with the service they provided. All 10 of the other vendors we used followed up to make sure we were happy with the services they provided. Now almost 2 month later, not one call or email from Navy Beach. It was very disappointing.
If you are looking to have a beach wedding, and plan on having music, sadly I wouldn’t recommend this venue.
Navy Beach gave me and my husband the wedding of our dreams. The only thing we love more than the beach is each other, so we knew from the moment we got engaged we wanted a beach front wedding, but we weren't set on a venue. If you are in that boat, I can make it easy for you, choose Navy Beach! It is unlike any of the cookie cutter long island venues, and gives your wedding a much more fun, laid back vibe. Franklin is the coordinator and he is amazing. From my very first phone call, Franklin put me at ease and was always available with quick and creative answers to my questions. If you have any questions, concerns, ideas he will not only get back to you instantly, but if your request can be accommodated it will be. I honestly don’t know how we would have done everything without his guidance! It rained on our wedding day, luckily for us the rain stopped shortly before the ceremony began and we were able to host it outside (this seems true of many May weddings in this area). Initially I was a bit bummed we didn’t get a beautiful sunset ceremony, however the post-rain fog that lingered made our pictures and video look more stunning than I could have ever imagined. The rain also cooled down the evening which was perfect because the outdoor dance floor – which I feel is a must if you book this venue – was packed all night. So, if you are concerned about the weather ruining your big day - don't be, they will work through anything Mother Nature throws without stressing you at all! The whole day went off without a hitch. Multiple guests told me it was the most beautiful wedding setting they had ever seen. If I could do it all again, I would, and I would not change a SINGLE thing (even the weather my May brides)! I would recommend getting married at Navy Beach to ANYONE. We simply can’t thank the entire team at Navy Beach enough for providing an unforgettable wedding day. I’d recommend them a thousand times over!
Our wedding day was truly the MOST PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL day that we could have ever imagined! Choosing Navy Beach was the best decision that we made in the whole wedding planning process! Franklin is the best! He was there every step of the way to answer questions big and small around the clock to ease our minds of all the details that never once felt overwhelming! Every single one of our 100 guests are still talking about how our wedding was the BEST wedding they have ever been to! Saying “I DO” right on the beach followed by dancing under the stars was literally my dreams come true! The food was excellent and the ambiance was intimate and classy without being “stuffy” whatsoever! The love and the JOY of the whole wedding was palpable! Everything was seamless and the flow was perfect… Franklin took SUCH good care of us, even when we had to shuffle the schedule last minute due to an unforeseen late start, he adjusted on the fly and everything went off without a hitch! If you are looking for a perfect wedding destination made easy, then get married here! Navy Beach is and always will be one of our favorite places on earth! Honestly, it was the wedding beyond my wildest fairytale dreams and I will forever glow when I think about it!
I have too many good things to say! Three weeks later, I am still on cloud nine after our wedding at Navy Beach, and the credit for that goes to Franklin and his team. I first reached out last May, and Franklin was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions about what the day would look like. I tend to be pretty anxious and wedding planning was starting to bring it out in me - but I knew instantly that working with Franklin would be a breeze. We signed our contract in July, and in the intervening 14 months, he was always super responsive to my panicked, silly questions - he helped us make decisions on menu & schedule and was extremely flexible when we requested changes. On the day of, he was there to make sure everything ran smoothly, and everything went off PERFECTLY. The ceremony took place on the beach, and the setup was so incredibly stunning. We had a large wedding and opted for food stations/open seating for dinner on Franklin's suggestion - our guests loved the relaxed vibe and raved about the food. And while I can't give him direct credit for the sunset, Franklin did steer us towards a September wedding (the best weather!) and he couldn't have been more right. Thanks to Franklin and the team at Navy Beach for giving us our dream wedding - we will never, ever forget it!
The wonderful people at Navy Beach made my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner a great success. The setting is beautiful, the food was phenomenal. During the event Franklin made sure all ran smoothly, as my mind was otherwise occupied!
We are left speechless after our Rehearsal Dinner on 10/6/17. From start to finish, Franklin Ferguson was extraordinary. His responsiveness, communication, and execution of our event was beyond perfect.
Thank you Franklin for helping us create a night we won't ever forget. Our guests raved about the venue, the views, and the food. We truly could of not asked for a better start to our wedding weekend.
Love,
Jessica & Evan
Navy Beach truly put on our dream wedding and we loved wedding planning with Franklin and his team. They were organized, incredibly accommodating, and professional throughout the process. Responses to emails and calls were always prompt and thorough. The day of, not a detail was missed. Weeks after, we continue to receive compliments from our guests about the delicious food, incredible venue, and accommodating staff. Thanks Navy Beach!
I cannot say enough good things about Navy Beach. From our first meeting with Franklin and Leyla we knew this was the place for us; aside from the fact that Navy Beach is such a beautiful venue in an amazing setting Franklin and Leyla are wonderful people to work with. They were so accommodating and patient with all our questions and double, triple checking details. The day of our wedding we dropped off all our decorations and they paid attention to every detail and everything looked better than I could have imagined. My friends and family said they felt like we were all transported to another place and time. The entire night was magical. The food is amazing and the staff was so friendly; everyone was so impressed with the service and quality we received. We are so happy we have such an amazing spot that we can go back to time and time again to celebrate such an important day in our lives.
We had an absolutely perfect wedding day- and it was largely thanks to Franklin of Navy Beach. We had our ceremony on the private beach, then cocktails outside and dinner and party inside- and everyone was telling us how beautiful the location was, the sunset and how GREAT the food was. Franklin was so responsive to all our email questions in the lead-up to the big day - and in the day-of was there making sure everything went smoothly. We brought in a florist and Dj and photo/video from outside and Franklin worked with them seamlessly. It was a truly magical day- and I couldn't recommend the team (and the food!) at Navy Beach more.
Per feedback from our guests, our wedding at Navy Beach was the best wedding most had ever been to.....and I can't disagree. From the planning phase and working with owner, Franklin Ferguson, to the gorgeous, yet laid back location, the quality of food and service from the staff, we could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day and venue.
Our wedding ceremony was on the beach where we had a backdrop of the water and sunset. For food, we chose to do family style which allowed guests to try a wide variety of food, which I would highly recommend. Franklin / Navy Beach provided an extensive list of recommended vendors which made the wedding planning so much easier, especially when planning a wedding from outside of NY!
I would highly recommend Navy Beach for your wedding/reception, if looking. There is not a single thing I would have changed about our day.
The best welcome party our guests had ever been to!! Everyone kept raving how good the night was- it was like a wedding before the wedding! Service, food, sunset, everything was spectacular. Such a beautiful, fun evening that set the tone for our wedding weekend in Montauk. Thank you to Franklin and the Navy Beach team for making this night unforgettable!!
We chose the venue because of the comfortably sophisticated menu served family style and the laid back nautical atmosphere. We also loved the indoor outdoor aspect and the variety of seating options and set ups and, of course, the sunset backdrop of the ceremony.
Franklin (the owner) is professional and very experienced in hosting weddings so he had great suggestions for us. He was always available to answer questions and was extremely helpful and flexible throughout the planning process.
The day of the wedding turned out a little differently than we had planned with a downpour preventing the outdoor ceremony and dancing. But I will say, that we now all agree that having it inside while it rained outside was the most lovely intimate fun party we could have ever hoped for. Franklin and his team seamlessly pulled off the last minute transition indoors and were all courteous and attentive throughout the evening. The staff was fantastic!
It turned out to be the perfect venue to host a rainy day wedding. We didn't miss that sunset one bit! But from experience, its the best place to watch the sunset in Montauk for sure!
Three months later and we still can't find the words for how wonderful our wedding was at Navy Beach. From the venue, to the food, to the superb service and staff; we can say with certainty that we had our perfect wedding.
We began our search for wedding venues in the city, where we live. We looked across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens; but didn't find anything with the feel we were looking for -- a fun, casual, yet chic vibe. Luckily our friends went to a wedding at Navy Beach, loved it, and sent us to take a look.
It's stunning. The quaint restaurant is charming and has a private beach. We took the risk and planned to have the ceremony outside and were rewarded in spades -- sunny with blue skies, which appears to be common weather in that area. Another benefit was that decorations were practically not necessary, as the restaurant is so well decorated as is.
Speaking of the restaurant, let's talk fried chicken. People couldn't eat fast enough. We also had many guests ask where we purchased the dessert ...supplied by Navy Beach.
None if this would have mattered if not for Franklin. He was friendly, professional, and very timely in responding. He offered advice when requested and left us feeling he had everything under control in the lead up to the wedding. ... and it turns out he did. His staff represented his qualities -- they were quick to help and brought an excited attitude to the day.
Honestly, the ease at which we were able to pull off our wedding (thanks to Navy Beach) still astounds us. We also appreciated with the convenience of having the ceremony and reception at the same location -- and our guests did too.
Our loved ones who attended had nothing but compliments for Navy Beach, and we couldn't agree more. We had our perfect wedding.
Cheers,
Penny and Daniel
Our wedding day turned out to be amazing. I'll start by saying the only stressful part is the weather. There is no outdoor tent option but when the weather turned out to be beautiful the day couldnt be more perfect. The sunset during the ceremony, food service, drinks were all amazing. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had, how beautiful Navy beach was and how great the food was.
Since its not your standard venue (which is why we loved it) you need to work out a lot of details that would normally be included. Cake, dance floor, aisle etc. But if you have time to plan, its all worth it! Franklin was great through the whole process. Always available to help and really made the day easy with no worries. Couldnt be happier with our choice and want to do it all over again!
We decided to host our rehearsal dinner at Navy Beach Restaurant after spending many unforgettable summer nights there. We are both foodies and love the ambiance - I would classify it as classy beach chic. Many of our guests had not been to Montauk before so starting the wedding weekend off at Navy Beach really set the tone. It is a beautiful restaurant and the picturesque water views provide a great background for pictures.
Besides the amazing food and views, the staff was incredibly welcoming and Franklin and Martin were a pleasure to work with. I had full confidence in them and the menu they suggested. Everyone had a great time and we have beautiful pictures to prove it!
Living in another state and unable to get to the Hamptons before the dinner party, I had to rely on my e mail relationship with Franklin at Navy Beach. He was incredibly attentive to my questions, and open to all "special" requests. He had great insight into what was the best approach for a party as large as ours. ( we took over the entire place for the night).
The atmosphere is beach casual but the food is that of a four star restaurant .
The staff was well trained and attentive.
It was great fun and an evening to remember !
I can only say great things about Navy Beach and its staff. Their professionalism and superb attention to detail was unsurpassed. From my first email exchange with its owner, Franklin Ferguson, until the end of my event, it was clear that he cared very much about what my needs were and communicated every step of the way. Navy Beach provided a completely stress-free experience and my guests were amazed! Every choice on our pre-selected menu was delicious - the food arrived on time and at the right temperature. The music was outstanding - but he has an iPod hookup if you want to play your own music - but seriously, you don't need it. The service was unsurpassed - they anticipated your needs and responded before you even asked. The restaurant's casual decor and furnishings are very, very well done. And for free, Navy Beach throws in a most breathtaking sunset, just for good measure. Everything about my son's rehearsal dinner turned out better than I could have imagined. I host a lot of parties and charity events so I know when a venue is meeting my expectations or surpassing them - I was truly blown away by Navy Beach. I would recommend Navy Beach for any type of event and especially a Wedding! Thank you Navy Beach and your staff for making my son's rehearsal dinner a memorable one.
It’s been nine months since our wedding at Navy Beach, and people are still telling us that it was the best wedding they’ve been to – and that’s all thanks to the wonderful folks at Navy Beach and the amazing party they put together for us. The setting alone made the day, but it was the friendly, warm staff and the smooth way they transitioned from arrival to ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing that people keep commenting on. Everybody felt like they were really well taken care of, which is what we most hoped for when we began planning our wedding. We couldn’t have worked with better people or picked a better spot than Navy Beach.
Major highlights:
- Working with Franklin from beginning to end. He was always available to us – even in the off-season – and went out of his way to make sure all our questions were answered and that everything was exactly the way we wanted it. He had great ideas for food, layout, and schedule for the day, especially when we were stumped. We can’t say enough about how easy and great it was to work with him.
- The food! This goes without saying, but if you haven’t been to Navy Beach before, the food is insanely good. Folks are STILL talking about what they ate and how it was all leaps and bounds above what you typically get at a wedding. And Franklin worked with us to put together a great menu – including things that are no longer available in the regular restaurant.
- Overall, we never worried about a thing the whole afternoon. Everything went so smoothly, and nobody peppered us with a ton of questions – everything just flowed along. Guests were commenting that we were natural event planners, but it was all Navy Beach.
- There was this moment right after our ceremony when we hadn’t planned on taking a breath, but Franklin followed us out the door and had a bottle of champagne and poured us two glasses while making sure no one else followed us out. We had these two minutes together to just let it all sink in and it was so special. Neither of us had thought to plan for that, but it illustrates the way you feel taken care of at Navy Beach. It was a great moment that we’ll always have to remember, along with the whole day.
We could go on and on, but hopefully you get the picture. There is no better place to have your wedding. We couldn’t recommend it more!!

Franklin and the entire team at Navy Beach made our wedding so special and "Montauky". I work in the wine industry, and my husband is a chef, so aside for the location, which is also very special to us and a home away from home, the food and beverage aspect were the most important items to us. Fortunately, Navy Beach covered all three of these priorities, with a perfect Montauk location and private beach, a nautical but not over-the-top-cheesy theme and decor, and some of the best food and drink options in Montauk. Franklin was excellent at communicating and addressing and questions or concerns we had, and worked very closely with us on all aspects to make sure everything worked out just the way we wanted it. They also work intimately with local vendors (florists, bakers, etc), so nothing was really difficult to organize or a surprise. Our entire party (~120 people) had a blast and loved every second of it, and I can't imagine us having our wedding anywhere else in Montauk.
We had the wedding of my daughter to her partner at Navy beach in Montauk LINY. The location is amazing, right on the beach. Which was where we had the ceremony .The most spectacular views of the water and surrounding area. The restaurant itself has a nautical theme so that was perfect. From the beginning working with Franklin Ferguson could not have been easier. He was on top of everything and helped with some suggestion's to better the event. The food to say was fantastic. We have been getting emails, text message and phone calls all week about the wedding. The staff was very friendly and made sure that everyone was attended to. If anyone had any special requests or needs, it was handled. I could not be any happier. My family was thrilled to be at Navy Beach. You should be too.
We have been going to Navy Beach for a few seasons now for meals each summer and knew it would be a perfect venue for our reception. It's both cozy and chic and the private beach on the Bay is sublime.
We were married in Montauk in September of 2012 and had our reception in the restaurant and on the beach. Our friends and family are still talking about what a great time they had, what a fantastic venue it was and how relaxed they were at NB!
The menu is incredibly fresh and tasty, a great balance of comfort food and innovative twists on local fish and classic American food. This is the beauty of having your reception at a restaurant where they have already perfected the food and dining experience. No caterer would come close to the delicious, fresh and beautiful food we had. We chose to do family style dining and Navy Beach made it so easy and fun to pass plates around and get more if we needed to.
Our guests couldn't believe how good everything was - the best wedding food they've had, they all said!
We even requested something from the previous year's menu and they were able to work with us to re-create it. Franklin and Leyla, the couple running Navy Beach Restaurant, are an incredibly helpful, organized and down-to-earth couple who made our wedding easy to pull together without a problem. They communicated clearly and efficiently throughout the whole planning process, so nothing was a surprise and all costs were outlined and accurate. Working with them was the easiest part of the whole planning process.
The staff was so friendly, sweet and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. I never once had to be concerned about the setup, food, bar or anything our guests needed. Franklin was on hand the whole night to oversee that things ran smoothly and they did, flawlessly in fact.
I can't recommend them enough, whether for a wedding, reception or rehearsal dinner.
