Officiant NYC offers non-denominational, spiriitual & religious ceremonies, as well as traditional or cultural ceremonies for all couples. With Officiant NYC, you don't have to fit your wedding into a particular box or type of wedding. We respect all cultures and religions, as well as all LGBTQIA+ couples who wish to wed in New York City. Individuality is key, which is why one of our Officiant NYC officiants will meet with you prior to the wedding to discuss any readings, poems, genres,or styles you have envisioned.

We began officiating weddings in when customized wedding ceremonies weren’t “a thing” yet.
We loved the idea of creating ceremonies that resonated true to each couple. We began creating lists of ideas and just never stopped. Once we started meeting couples and hearing their love stories, we knew that we had stumbled upon the best job on earth!
Over thousands of weddings later, we still love the whole process! We have added a few wonderful officiants to our group. In the very rare instance that your officiant can't make it, one of us is on call. We'll never let you down.

Alex’s words throughout the ceremony were absolutely beautiful.

only have four guests present during the ceremony (per City Hall rules), we decided to go with Central Park. I did some research and discovered that you can get married pretty much anywhere in NYC's parks!
We quickly realized we'd need an officiant since we'd now be getting married in the public arena. My fiance first went on Instagram and typed in 'Central Park wedding,' just to get the initial vibe for a park wedding, and coincidentally Officiant NYC was one of the top results. Based on the reviews and high rating, my fiance instructed me to inquire and ask for Alex, the owner. Not only did Officiant NYC respond to my inquiry within minutes, but within 12 hours we found out Alex could officiate our wedding!
Shortly after putting down a deposit, I was on the phone with Alex. He was super easy to talk to and has a ton of experience with park weddings. I feel like I should mention though, Officiant NYC can work anywhere, not just in Central Park. In any case, he was able to give us an extensive list of location suggestions within the park. Thanks to him, we found our spot, right near the Bow Bridge.
About a month before the wedding, we had a Zoom call with Alex to go over the particulars of the ceremony. It also gave Alex a chance to get to know us better, which would allow him to craft a sermon that fit our story.
On our wedding day, Alex showed up early and got to meet our friends and families. He fit right in, and honestly it felt like he was one of our close friends. The ceremony itself was brilliant and captivating, although I must admit I was having a hard time focusing because I was just trying to keep it together. I will say, I think Alex was one of the main reason's my fiance and I didn't break down crying while standing up there in front of everyone during the ceremony. He just has a super calming, down to earth presence that kept us grounded.
So yeah, I'd say if you're looking for a wedding officiant, check out Officiant NYC. Alex was great, but I'm certain the other officiants on the team are just as amazing!

Thanks to his flexibility and professionalism we pulled off a fantastic ceremony, even without a formal rehearsal because our timeline was running late. Since it was an inter-faith marriage, Alex expertly navigated his messaging to keep it non-religious and neutral. He did some impromptu riffing with the groom, which not only livened up the ceremony but also helped ease his nerves. We recommend Alex with flying colors!
