PASSION FOR EVENTS: Creating, planning, and managing memorable events has long been my passion. I was fortunate enough to learn and practice my skills and build my knowledge and expertise while working at some of the best-known Silicon Valley companies. I have demonstrated experience of putting on uniquely successful events that are enjoyed and remembered fondly by the attendees.
LOVE FOR WEDDINGS: I started Olivia Grace Events out of a passion for helping couples make their wedding everything they dreamed of without any of the stress. I have the ability to help plan weddings that meet a couple’s budget parameters while consistently delivering an experience that surpasses expectations. I have a deep understanding of the details, the logistics, and the emotional factors that all lead to the dream wedding. My own wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty.
OFFICIAL BUSINESS: I earned my BA from the University of California, Irvine and obtained my MBA in management from Boston College. I started my career in developing and executing marketing plans in the luxury residential real estate industry. I then worked for Sequoia Capital, a top-tier venture firm in Menlo Park. My career has offered opportunities to plan and manage a wide variety of events. I look forward to helping you plan your next event!

nning, and with each of us working full-time, we didn't have the capacity to manage this on our own. Michelle made this very easy on us. She started by learning about our style, vision, budget, etc. She then created a bunch of resources for us, such as a budget tracker, timelines to follow, and more. Michelle would then help us narrow in on our best options (e.g. for venues, photographers, invites) and let us choose from there. I really appreciated that she made sure we made progress over time and didn't have an unnecessarily busy days/weeks before the wedding day (e.g. when to get the license, picking music). She also was very communicative throughout.

getting married thanks to Michelle. She immediately understood our vision and suggested vendors that were on point but still within our budget. I especially appreciate that she is up to date on the trends but can also advise on what will look timeless. I also liked that she’d text or share instagram posts of things she thought I’d like and was totally willing to adjust orders (multiple times!) and communicate with vendors if I did want to incorporate something new.
We had our wedding at my in-laws’ home, so I was nervous about all of the vendors working in an unfamiliar space (especially catering using a home kitchen!), but Michelle managed everyone flawlessly and did walk throughs with each vendor to make sure everything went smoothly on the wedding day.
Michelle is also the most detail-oriented person I’ve ever met. She was always five steps ahead of me and thought through every detail down to timing the shuttles so that they didn’t have to pass each other on the narrow road leading up to the venue. When I mentioned that I was worried about it being too warm during cocktail hour, she had already looked into renting umbrellas to keep guests comfortable and moving the charcuterie table to a cooler location. She kept us on track for paying our vendors and was knowledgeable about how the rental companies drop off and pick everything up.
My husband and I had the BEST stress-free wedding day because we had full trust in Michelle. We miss planning with her, but we still keep in touch. We are SO grateful we had Michelle on our team and can't thank her enough!!

she familiarized (read: memorized, really!) herself with the contracts and immediately got to work solving some problems I had missed in the planning process (ie our event rental drop off window was not properly considered!). It was such a relief to have Michelle on our side - negotiating with our vendors and our venue hand in hand.
Michelle brought our wedding day to life - completely executing my *very specific* vision. Our wedding day was stress-free knowing Michelle was on-site handling all.the.things. Not only is she a talented designer and event producer, Michelle takes the time to go above and beyond all expectations. Her ability to see the big picture early (and help us see it) allowed us to fully conceptualize how our wedding day would unfold and helped to keep us on task in a way which would have been impossible on our own. s notice. Although it was short notice and small, we wanted the day to feel like a wedding and not a dinner party. And boy, did Michelle deliver!
From our first phone conversation onwards, Michelle was simply wonderful. I was completely overwhelmed and stressed when I first spoke to Michelle about our idea, but that all changed. She immediately prioritized and organized what we needed to accomplish (what types of vendors did we need, budget ranges, recommendations) and then started actioning (negotiating contracts, designing table settings). Throughout she listened to our needs/want, made critical recommendations, and acted as a knowledgeable sounding board as we weighed options.
By the time we got to the wedding day, I felt great! Michelle had coordinated with all the vendors, put together a detailed timeline, and thought of every last little detail. We didn't have to think or worry about any of the planning or logistics that day! Huge win!
On top of all of this, the wedding was stunning. I had given limited guidance on design but Michelle ran with it and the end result was a dream.
Most importantly, Michelle is calm, kind and thoughtful (even in high-stress situations). If I could give 10 stars, I would!

ice in trying to plan through COVID is to find yourself a kick-ass planner like Michelle. Because if you can navigate a wedding seamlessly through a pandemic, you can do anything. Michelle is organized, thoughtful, knowledgeable and always a step ahead. Plus she has a great sense of humor and is a joy to be around! And believe me I’ve needed plenty of occasions for humor this year.
Leading up to our ceremony, Michelle made sure communication was buttoned up (we had multiple check-ins) and all things were accounted for. When we were figuring out transportation plans and weren’t sure how my husband and I were going to get to the ceremony separately without seeing each other, she willingly volunteered to pick me up on her way. I wish there was footage of her stuffing me into her front seat with my enormous gown! Little moments like that go a long way and make you feel cared for as a client.
Our ceremony was perfect – intimate, relaxed, fun. And I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Unfortunately for Michelle she is stuck with us for another year (at least), but seeing what she was able to do with our ceremony gives me all of the confidence that our reception is going to be the party of the century.

The week of our wedding PG&E sent out an advisory that our venue you may be without power the day of our wedding. I called Michelle in a panic when I got off work, and Michelle had already contacted the vendors, figured out their power needs and located generators. She said she had not contacted me sooner because she did not want to add to my stress. We did not end up needing to enact the Plan B with generators as we did not lose power, but Michelle spending her day drawing up an alternative plan meant the world to me and made my whole body relax after we spoke.
I don’t have enough space to write all the lovely and amazing things she did to make our day so special. Everyone she came into contact with at our wedding raved about her. My Matron of Honor was jealous she had not used Michelle for her own nuptials a few months prior!

One of the most important things about a planner (which you will find once in the wedding planning process) is the need for quick response times and organizational skills. So many of your vendors will drop the ball. Michelle will be there to pick it up and make sure you don't even notice it was dropped. I did not want to be bothered or worry about anything on my wedding day, and Michelle made sure that happened. Flawless coordination; don't even waste your time emailing other planners (unless you want to see how bad they are LOL!).

My wife and I got married in May of 2019 in Napa. Of course it decided to rain on our wedding day (in May...). After a year of perfectly timing out and coordinating an outdoor wedding, Michelle had to make a 180 turn and make everything happen indoors. Lucky for us, we were worry free (for the most part) as we knew Michelle would make it perfect, and that she did.

When I needed ideas she had great ones, and when I was stressed out she really listened to my needs and concerns and focused on addressing those issues rather than pushing her own agenda. On my wedding day she was extremely well prepared with contact lists, timelines, diagrams of where all the decor would go, etc. I am an executive assistant and I plan events as part of my job, so I have very high standards and sometimes hesitate to let go of control and trust someone else will do it right. Michelle took my ideas and turned them into the most beautiful shower. She guided me through the invitation process all the way to table design and napkin ties.
