We used Palisade for our ceremony and reception. The venue, food, and the servers were excellent. However, the event coordinator was not very responsive. We had to call/email several times before she would respond, the bathrooms in the venue were not stocked with TP/towels for the event, and overall she seemed disorganized.
we have come to Palisade on my wife birthday
and our anniversary this year we have a little
problem with parking because we thought we
can dine and then leave our car in your parking lot and take a taxi to Key Arena and return back to Palisade after the ice show.
Would that be possible?
Choosing Palisade was a great decision for us because we wanted an easy simple wedding, we knew the food and location were good, and we were willing to pay the cost. Not only did they provide delicious food (our guests repeatedly complimented our choices) and set up everything, but they also coordinated the cake delivery, rented a tent for the courtyard and a podium (last minute decision), and printed out table numbers and seat indicators.
To give a general overview of our planning process, after we reserved our date, our next meeting with Palisade was our tasting (~5 months before the wedding, we got the Elliot bay dinner package). During this meeting, we got a whole plate of every dish and also discussed the day-of schedule, which was helpful for determining what things we needed to make decisions on. About 1-2 months before the wedding, we then emailed back and forth and finalized the changes a few weeks before the wedding. Meanwhile, we also had our cake tasting at BAKED and once we finalized our cake order, Palisade took care of the rest. About a month before, we also took our DJ to the venue, which was helpful for planning the setup.
We had our ceremony outside and used the Alani room for the reception. The day of we had a wonderful time and importantly, asked before taking away our food, so we got to eat as much as we wanted! To give an idea on cost, our package was ~$100 per person, and we paid ~$45 per person for drinks, but the venue itself was only $500, so keep that in mind when comparing costs. However, in general don't forget about tax, and there was a 20% service charge. Our group was a mix of mostly lighter drinkers with some heavier ones.
Overall, I recommend Palisade if you want to splurge on food and a great location and have wedding planning be fairly easy and straightforward.
We were married at Palisade on August 3rd, 2013 and everything from the restaurant and staff, to the food and stunning views were more than I could have asked for on our most special day.
We worked with Hang Nguyen who was with us every step of the way. She made special accommodations for us in providing a gorgeous room for us to do hair/makeup and dressing with a large mirror, tables, chairs, refreshments, the works! She kept us in the loop and was available to us whenever we needed her. She gave us good advice on food and portions and brought up things we didn't think of :)
We continue to receive rave reviews of the food from our guests, one of whom refilled her plate 6 times!
Our ceremony took place in the courtyard next to the restaurant where they provided the chairs and set everything up beautifully. The reception was inside the restaurant and it was just stunning.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly, the captain Hang assigned to us checked in with us often to see if we needed anything, he was very attentive and focused on us :)
I really cannot say enough good things about Palisade. I HIGHLY recommend this venue to any bride/groom searching for the perfect place to wed, renew vows or just come to eat and enjoy the view. Stunning!
My husband and I got married at Palisade in October of 2012. Everything about the experience was perfection. Our ceremony was outside in the courtyard overlooking the marina. The boats and trees made for a beautiful autumn background. Robin, the catering manager, was amazing. She worked with the chef to develop a delicious "Northwest" plated dinner of lamb or crab stuffed sole. We used their baker, BAKED for our three wedding cakes and all were fabulous! We highly recommend this fabulous restaurant to anyone looking to host an elegant, waterfront wedding.
