Reading all these reviews, I’m not sure Paul needs another one about his work itself. And honestly, my words couldn’t do it justice. It’s beautiful, emotional and something we have treasured since the first day we got our pictures back. If you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and visit his website or Instagram – his pictures speak for themselves and then some. So instead I’m going to write this review for anyone that is worried they don’t have what it takes to be photographed by someone as cool as Paul. Trust me, I’ve been in your shoes! My husband and I are awkward goofballs who couldn’t look less natural in front of a camera if we tried. We’re the people who are always blinking or turning our heads at the worst moment… I’m can 100% confirm all the comments here that Paul is one of the best people we’ve ever met. He is kind, funny and makes you feel like you’ve known him for years after just one call. He will make you feel and look natural without you even realizing it. Our engagement shoot fell on our daughters first birthday and Paul took amazing pictures of her that still make us tear up (she was so small!). Most couples reading this probably won’t have children, but the fact that Paul managed a wedding day with a rambunctious 18-month-old thrown in the mix makes it clear how good he is at his job. If you’ve got a wild card in your wedding party – Paul’s got your back! With the world the way it is these days, weddings may be smaller and more intimate. Having Paul at your ceremony will truly be like having another close friend there. One who just happens to be hugely, unbelievably talented. We truly cannot recommend him enough. Paul, you are an amazing photographer and an incredible father. Thank you for everything!

Can’t say enough about Paul! He was extraordinarily professional but knew exactly how to personalize the day to get us feeling comfortable in front of the camera. When my husband and I met Paul for our “engagement shoot,” it felt like we were getting together with an old friend even though we were meeting him for the first time. He’s a genuine, great guy and not only did we walk away with magazine worthy photos (seriously... amazing), but we were stoked to have made the friendship. Paul is devoted to his craft and takes the time to ensure he’s catching all the perfect moments. His digital expertise, situational awareness, and use of natural light combine to make one stellar photographer. Paul’s work tells a wonderful story of your day. You’ll regret not giving him the opportunity!!

Paul is amazing. When I first stumbled across his work I was blown away, and he was actually the first vendor that we booked. There's such a romantic and journalistic feel to his photos that we fell in love with. We're able to relive our wedding day through his work and it's such an awesome feeling! He really captured the day and us in a way that feels so genuine to who we are and how perfect the day was. My husband and I also had the pleasure of getting to get to know him over the months leading up to the wedding through our engagement shoot and he's such a genuinely awesome person. He so deeply cares about his craft and the couples that he works with. Couldn't praise him enough both personally and professionally!

Frankly, Paul is the best of the best – not just an MVP wedding vendor or an unreasonably talented photographer – he is just an excellent guy. His talent speaks for itself on his website/blog/Instagram. He does not shoot in a typical canned shot list or “now let’s get the wedding party sticking out their tongues and jumping!” kind of way; his style is moody and striking, but also completely reflects the people and places he’s shooting. Our photos were so specifically US (just like, 1000x more attractive than real life!) We picked Paul because his work is indisputably gorgeous – and when we met him for our engagement shoot, we felt so good about his vibe and the way he works that we trusted him implicitly to do his thing. He showed up on our wedding day and effortlessly fit in to the one million different dynamics at work – he was able to pinpoint what moments and which people were important and somehow captured them all. I honestly don’t know how he covered so much ground – he was a part of the party at times, but somehow also completely behind the scenes. Paul told us that his work tells a story, and that’s SO true. Our photos are obviously stunning, but I can’t say enough about how it feels to look at them in order. Sounds cheesy, but I can’t lie – it’s really like reliving the entire experience. Nothing is posed (except for some badass portraits that shockingly make us look both cool and chill, which is no easy feat!) and the happiness is palpable. I can’t find the link to our photos on his blog so, honestly, just look at anyone’s and hire Paul if you want Vogue-level photography and a lovely new friend. Thanks, pal!!

Paul is far from your standard, run of the mill wedding photographer. He’s a storyteller. He loves love. We planned our wedding from Chicago so we were totally going to bypass the engagement session that came as part of our package. However, Paul convinced us that we should at least get a few shots so we could feel comfortable in front of the camera. One weekend when we were in town, we grabbed coffee with Paul and took some shots. He was 100% accurate – we needed that session to get our awkwardness out of the way. With all weddings, the day of can get a little crazy and overwhelming at times. As a bride, you’re pulled in a thousand different directions and it was always a sense of relief when Paul would pull us aside to take us to a secluded spot for some photos. Aside from these moments, I barely remember seeing Paul so I was worried we didn’t get enough photos. Needless to say, we had PLENTY of photos. Paul suggested we view the photos in sequential order, and once again, he was right. It told a story and accurately depicted the emotional rollercoaster of the day. While viewing our photos, we cried and laughed at all the same times as we had on our wedding day. We are so happy that we have these photos to look back on forever.

Paul fucking killed it. Master of light, contrast, and of being a genuine fantastic dude. He made our wedding day feel easy and elevated at the same time and I am now delighted to call him my friend. If you’ve discovered Paul based on his stunning (seriously how do you do it?) photos, good on you, but what you probably missed is the experience he creates while working with his clients. On our wedding day, engagement shoot, and months leading up he curated an experience that led us to confidence, comfortability, and laughter. He hustles on every front and every detail. When searching for a photographer for our wedding, we knew we wanted someone who could capture our day as it unfolded instead of posing for a million photos from a shot list and essentially being pulled away from our family and friends. With his photojournalistic style, Paul did just that; he allowed us to truly enjoy our entire day (including cocktail hour!) with our guests while still taking beautiful photos that truly captured the moments as they happened. As a client, it is reassuring to see how much he truly loves his job. He got our photos to us in a timely manner as well. I cannot say enough positive things, and I recommend him any opportunity I have.

Paul could not have been better to work with. I thought the engagement photos in particular would have been horribly awkward to take (my husband and I don't really have PDA let alone have someone taking a picture of it!) and by the end of it, I didn't want the shoot to end! His enthusiasm really made me have one less thing to worry about the day of the wedding as well. My guests asked if he was at the reception (he was) cause they didn't even see him which is always great since I've been to weddings where the photographer/videographer don't seem to care about the guests/space they take up. When showing people who didn't go to my wedding (like my hair dresser and the receptionist at the salon) my pictures they all say "it feels like we're at the wedding!" Some things I would go back and change for my wedding and having Paul as a photographer is not one of them. 10/10

Getting to know Paul over the two years leading up to our wedding was an honor. We were referred from a friend who he had shot for and were impressed by the uniqueness of his portfolio. He's a down-to-earth soul with a passion for telling stories. Paul was great to work with, we shared our vision and hopes, and he brought his expertise and style to both our engagement and wedding day. Our expectations were exceeded by the final product, and looking over the photos we made together brought my wife and I to tears. Paul captured so many small moments that, on your day, happen so quickly it's hard to keep up. He captures light, movement, and color so beautifully. Our photos will be treasured for generations.

Paul Robert Berman is an absolute master of his craft. Once I found him, I instantly knew that he was the right choice for our wedding. Our big event was a destination wedding on the Cape; we actually chose our wedding date based on Paul's availability. After the fact, my wife and I both agree that this was the right decision. As far as talent goes, the pictures speak for themselves. He has a huge respect for lighting and composition, resulting in a very modern classic look. The examples on the website aren't just rare highlights; all of our pictures were this amazing. His process was perfect for us too. Standing around taking pictures with everybody gets old. We did do some photos with immediate family and the wedding party, but it was short and sweet. He truly captured the feelings and moments of the wedding to create a very accurate narrative. When working with a photographer, personality makes a huge difference. I spoke with Paul when we booked, and we met with him and chatted over coffee for a few hours the week before our wedding. He's extremely friendly and easy to talk to. His passion for photography really glows, and this shows in the final product. He wants you to have amazing pictures as much as you want them. He likes to experiment with different shots and lighting, keeping things interesting and unique. During some truly epic photos, I could hear Paul quietly saying, "Oh my gosh, yes" after snapping them. Paul was also very professional and got our finished pictures back to us very quickly even though he had just moved into a new house. The high resolution photos without any watermarks means that these pictures are ours to do what we want with them. The hardest part for us will be picking which ones to display, as they are all so fantastic. We could have not found a better match for our wedding photographer. Paul Robert Berman, THANK YOU!

Paul was one of our favorite parts of our engagement and wedding, I cannot recommend Paul enough. He is extremely professional and diligent, but still creates a calm and fun atmosphere. We genuinely enjoyed being around him (which I think is a rare quality to have in someone on such a high stress day). His photos are absolutely incredible, we fell involve with his dramatic style. He was also so creative in his techniques, which created some really unique wedding photos. Our photos felt really personal and were so beautiful, opposite of what I would describe as a stock photo. Lastly, it is so clear that Paul genuinely cares about all of his couples, he is always so quick to respond, fun to talk to you and caring about his art. THE BEST.

Where do I begin? Paul was a blast to work with and his work is stunning. He helped my husband, a photo shy guy, feel comfortable and himself in each and every photo. Hilarious, warm, and professional - Paul produces stunning photos and you have fun in every moment. He is able to capture the personality of each of his subjects and is a true artist. Words can't express what an incredible human being and photographer Paul is. Paul has been one of my best friends for 15+ years and when it came to the time for me to get married, there was no question about who would capture the biggest day of my life. As I've watched Paul's career grow over the years, I've watched his talent grow to a point that no one can come even close to touching. The precision, creativity, passion, talent, eye, and pure love that goes into each and every photo that Paul takes is immeasurable. When it comes to Paul as a person, he has a heart of gold and cares about every person he meets with purity, respect, and love. I guarantee that every one who works with Paul, or even comes in contact with him, will feel that wholeheartedly. Paul's professionalism was one point during every second of the time he was with me. He arrived at the perfect time while we were all getting ready. I was at a point of extreme anxiety and even his pure presence was literally what caused me to not go over the edge. Paul just knows. He reads people easily and knows what is needed in situations. He was able to have me in a place, both physically and mentally, where I knew all was good and I could calm effectively. He was able to keep boundaries up within my environment to enable this calming and not overstimulate my energy. I will truly forever be grateful for that. Paul's eye to exactly what photo and moment should be captured is precise. When we received our photos (extremely quick turnaround), we looked at them with tears as he captured each and every moment we want to remember for the rest of our lives. While I could go on and on about Paul, the size of this text box will not allow it. I cannot stress enough how Paul's talent, professionalism, and the person who he is are qualities which will not disappoint for a second. What he produces, both physically and within memories, are those which you will treasure forever.
