Stacey, Melody and Melissa were the dream team! From finding our venue, vendor referrals to planning every detail, small or large. It is reflected in their work how much of a passion they have for what they do and they are experts in their craft! My wife and I cannot thank this dream team enough, Peony Events represents true expertise, kindness (we had some interesting family dynamics) an eye for design like no other and now they have become friends for life! Thank you times a million!
We hired Stacey for partial planning since I had already booked most of the vendors. One of the main things I wanted help with was the day of timeline. Stacey did a phenomenal job with the timeline. I received numerous comments from people about how smoothly and seamlessly the whole night flowed. It made me so happy to hear that from my guests, and thankful for Stacey’s expertise. Another thing we asked Stacey for help with is the welcome bags. She did an amazing job! The hotel staff told us they were the nicest welcome bags they had ever seen. I was so happy with how they turned out. Another reason I wanted to hire a planner was for day of wedding help. Stacey handled all the vendor coordination, so all I had to worry about was showing up and having fun. I ended up having a pre-ceremony meltdown because I hadn’t eaten enough and Stacey got the venue to make me a burger and bring me cookies. She even cut up and fed me my burger so I wouldn’t spill any on my dress lol! I was very grateful for her supporting me through that moment, and by the time I was walking down the aisle I was all smiles and happy! I recently had the pleasure of working with Peony Events as our day-of wedding planner, and I cannot recommend them enough. From start to finish, they were absolute professionals and truly made our wedding day stress-free and seamless. Although we had already planned most of our wedding details, Stacey made sure to meet with us a few weeks before the event to get a full understanding of our vision. She took careful notes on the schedule, vendors, and any last-minute changes, ensuring they were fully aligned with what we wanted. Stacey was always quick to respond to emails and phone calls, which gave us peace of mind leading up to the big day.
Stacey's attention to detail is phenomenal. Her communication was top-notch and she ensured every element of our wedding was perfect and she did not skip a beat!

Stacey was an absolute rockstar this weekend at our wedding! We hired Peony Events for the two months leading up to the wedding and it was the best decision! Even prior to the two month countdown- Stacey was incredibly helpful in answering any questions we had regarding vendors! The weeks leading up to the wedding she was incredibly detail oriented and helped us to get our schedule down to perfection prior to the big day.
Stacey was so incredibly calm the day of and all the days leading up to the big day which was amazing. She helped execute all the little details that I cared about while I was having the best day with my girls getting ready. We hired Peony Events for partial wedding planning and it was the absolute best decision we could have made. From our very first phone call about a year before our big day, we felt so confident that Stacey would be the person to get our day over the finish line seamlessly. Even though our contract began just a few months before our June 2024 wedding date, Stacey was incredibly helpful sending me vendor recommendations for hair and makeup artists in the six-month lead up to the big day.
For our beach ceremony I was determined to have an aisle runner and platform under our chuppah, which our venue was skeptical about, and Stacey delivered! She also helped us cut costs on printing, save on chair rentals and so many other behind-the-scenes logistics we could not have figured out on our own.
Day-of, Stacey made time to stop by for a hello and hugs even though she had multiple brides that day and we were put in the very capable hands of Amanda and Jen for the run-of-show. Our family and friends were so impressed with the seamlessness of the day, which would not have been possible without the Peony Events team.
After this experience, Stacey felt like family and there's no one I would trust more with my wedding and major celebrations!
We hired Peony Events for full planning and design and it was the best decision we made throughout our entire planning process. When we interviewed planners, we knew they were the right fit for us. From our first conversation with Stacey, you could tell she had a passion for what she does and her company. Her weddings and events speak for themselves and her attention to detail is unmatched.
From directing us with vendor selections, to catering choices, flower selections and day of details that would really make an impact (she has a thing about it not being too pinteresty and less is more, which is so us!).
The day of timeline was flawless and we truly enjoyed all the planning and our wedding weekend, thanks to Stacey and her team. We would not change a thing and we are still over the moon. We will definitely be telling all of our friends and family about Peony Events, we can't thank our friends enough who referred them to us.
Stacey and her team at Peony Events were an absolute dream team to work with during my wedding in July. I was a high stress bride and Stacey took so much off my plate from communicating with vendors to answering my many many emails. Once Stacey was connected with the event coordinator at my venue I was completely put at ease. Stacey also helped my wedding day run so smoothly and helped with so many little and big things throughout the actual event. 10/10 would recommend. Stacey is the best!
Stacey and her team are fantastic. They help to make sure everything ends up being perfect on your special day. Both my sister and I used her and our wedding days were completely stress free! She is amazing, I highly recommend using her and her team. Love them!
Stacey was the best decision we made when planning our wedding! I am so beyond thankful Stacey came on board to help carry out the remainder of our wedding planning. If you want your mind to be at ease and to have an extremely experienced event planning professional by your side throughout your wedding process, hire Stacey!! My husband and I can’t stop talking about how integral Stacey and Melody were in making our wedding day a success. From vendor selections, to invitations and details for the day of, color and flower choices, to pin spot lighting (never knew what that was) and a seamless run of show for the day of logistics, they made sure we didn’t miss a thing.

Stacey was extremely unprofessional and unresponsive. She would show up for meetings extremely late/ sometimes not even attend meetings that were scheduled on the calendar. During the wedding, all she did was take videos for her social media content and take claim for everything when she in fact did not do anything. She also would take a week to respond to anything. I would not hire her.
My sister worked with Stacey for her wedding back in 2021, and when I got engaged, Stacey was my first call. Stacey and Janelle were amazing on my September 2024 wedding day at Perona Farms! I knew everything would go seamlessly day of with their support - from coordinating with all the vendors, to helping with my wedding dress, to taking behind the scenes footage, they were amazing at making sure I was well taken care of! Stacey was incredibly helpful leading up the big day, and her calming presence is great to be around during what could become a stressful event. If you're looking for a planner or coordinator, I highly recommend Peony!!
Amazing service - professional, knowledgeable and very fun to work with. Stacey was so helpful in bringing my vision to life on my big day. My stress levels would have been through the roof planning without her and everything turned out perfectly. Also the Peony team was incredibly helpful day of, from keeping us on track for photos to steaming dresses, they did it all. Can’t recommend Peony more for future brides!

We hired Stacey and her team as our day of coordinators for our May 2024 wedding at the Ryland Inn. Stacey was very communicative leading up to the wedding and even joined calls with vendors that were before the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding.
On the day of, we had Melody as well as two other Peony Events team members to help us. They are very familiar with the Ryland Inn and the staff there. My husband has said over and over again how this was some of the best money we ever spent (and he was hesitant at first about hiring a day of coordinator). The Peony Events team was extremely detail oriented and always nearby to assist if we needed anything. My MOH was in constant contact with the team throughout the day and she has said multiple times how professional and amazing they were (and she is not easy to please!). They helped make sure that our day was everything that we could have ever wanted and more. We highly recommend working with them if you want to have a worry-free wedding!
I was referred to Peony Events by a friend who raved about Stacey & the team so I knew I had to book them as my day of coordinator! Stacey was extremely helpful 2 weeks out and helped with logistics, confirming details with vendors, and even came to my final dress fitting.

Our 6/1/24 wedding was an absolute dream and was all we had wanted and more with Stacey and her team (special shout out to the beautiful Melody and Aubrey) by our sides.
Stacey and I worked together for a few months leading up to the special day, as I had hired Peony Events for partial wedding planning. Beyond selecting the vendors I had wanted, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the period leading up the wedding and finalizing the small details. Stacey and her team went above and beyond to ensure that I felt reassured and confident in every decision. From coordinating hotel welcome boxes, day-of-stationary, connecting us with our officiant, coordinating directly with the venue and even coming to multiple dress fittings despite being in the height of wedding season - she did it all. I am inspired and in awe of Stacey, cultivating special relationships and being open to sharing all her extensive knowledge with her brides. Peony Events is a wonderful woman-owned business and my husband and I appreciate her and her team's efforts more than she could imagine.
Stacey and her team at Peony Events are absolutely amazing!!! From our first in-person meeting helping to select the perfect invitations and envelopes to having wedding flowers in my room when I woke up on the day after the wedding, everything Stacey did, all along the way, was perfection. Stacey pays attention to every detail, has the perfect demeanor, is a calming influence with big picture vision and excellent taste. All those attributes combined with Stacey's vast experience planning events made for a stress-free planning process and a spectacular wedding! Our wedding exceeded my wildest dreams in beauty and elegance -- the room looked so amazing, I was blown away! We had a last minute change (one week prior) in reception rooms -- it was no problem for Stacey who worked through the changes with the florist and the venue team, adding little details that really elevated the look and made all the difference. I cannot recommend Stacey and Peony Events more highly!
It's been almost a year since my wedding but I felt the need to still review. I recognize I am a planner and am particular about a lot of things when it came to my wedding. I chose Stacey based on a recommendation by my venue (The Ryland Inn). I ultimately wish I had gone with a different day of coordinator simply because I felt Stacey was hard to reach and didn't always have my interests at heart. She advertised herself as available two weeks before the wedding but never responded to my messages until days before the wedding (to be fair she then tried to reach out but my phone died so she finally reached out to my husband). I asked her to coordinate curtains details with my photographer that never got relayed.
The day of the event, I was very behind schedule due to rain and I kept asking for her and looking for her but no one could seem to locate her or her staff. It got to a point where I really needed help getting the day back on track and finally started crying before my ceremony and then she finally appeared and told me this happens. I told her I needed a plan to get back on track and never got a plan.
By the time the reception started things finally seemed to be falling into place but the kitchen needed more time to prepare the food. I had been very explicit that I didn't want any dance sets before dinner and she went ahead without asking us and opened the floor. She told us why she did it that way but never checked first, more of an FYI l
She then pushed quite hard to do all the events together (cake cutting, toss bouquet, etc). At first I said no let's stick to timeline but she pushed again so I just agreed because I had had enough. She never informed my family of the timeline change so they missed me cutting the cake and throwing my bouquet. My family is still incredibly upset about it.
Overall she did pack up some items and told us she when she was leaving. That said I had quite a few things to pack up at the end of the wedding that never got handled. For the price we paid and the description of services provided, I just don't think we got out money's worth. She promptly followed up the day after the wedding asking for final payment but never asked for feedback.
I can not imagine my daughter’s wedding day without Stacey & her team by our side. When Tara got engaged- my friend highly recommended Peony Events & said it was a MUST!! We totally agree. Stacey’s professionalism, kindness, calmness & constant reassurance - made the entire day stress free!!! There aren’t enough stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ or words to describe how fabulous this company is!! We hired Stacey and were thrilled with her service. From start to the wedding, Stacey provides calmness and great insight into the planning. She has quality, reliable vendors that are worth the hire. She and Melanie saw things that needed to be done and did them the day of the wedding without hesitation and kept everything on track. Is a planner worth the money. Absolutely YES. The best!! We are so grateful that we found and worked with Peony Events!! We were very impressed with all of the background work done during the days leading up to our wedding. We had a few minor issues with some of our other vendors come up the week prior, which would have really stressed us out considering everything else happening that week. But Stacey and her team took charge and we found ourselves continuously saying, "I'm so glad we have Stacey"! She also did an amazing job on the day of!! From all of the little details decorating, to helping coordinate all of the vendors so that we could truly enjoy the day...and coming back to a fridge stocked with wedding leftovers - everything was perfect and made us feel extra special :-)
Peony events is amazing!! I hired them for month plus coordination with added consulting hours and worked with Stacey and I am beyond happy that I did. I couldn’t have gotten through wedding planning without Stacey. First, she helped us at our details meeting with the venue which was super helpful. She also helped us with the timeline of events and I will say the timing was impeccable! Someone actually complemented how well organized everything was and how it was timed! Stacey really helped so much in the final months and especially with nailing down the florals. We went through the florist in so much detail so we were able to communicate it with the florist. As someone who works full time I couldn’t have done all the little details as well as Stacey did, and those little details that made the day so perfect. Stacey has a calm demeanor and it makes everything feel okay! We also loved working with Melody day of! Thank you Peony events for being so amazing!
If you don’t think you need a wedding planner, think again! I am so happy that we hired Peony events for my daughter’s July wedding! Stacey came highly recommended by my cousin. She was so kind, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the whole process. My daughter and I both work full time and have crazy schedules. Stacey was attentive and worked with my daughter’s schedule to do phone or zoom meetings with her and her fiancé and vendors. She also helped us get our wedding programs printed and delivered to us. There was so much behind the scenes stuff that she and her assistant did the day of the wedding. The ceremony and reception were at different locations. Everything was in place at the reception. The attention to detail and professionalism were second to none. I would tell anyone who is considering a wedding planner to hire Stacey and Peony Events. You won’t regret it. Hiring Maria Cucciniello at Peony Events was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. We had our ceremony at St. Vincent Martyr and our reception at the Madison Hotel in Morristown, NJ. Throughout the whole process, Maria responded promptly to phone calls and emails. She is highly organized and her attention to detail is impeccable.
We had a very specific vision for our reception which made logistics a little more complicated, but Maria was incredibly organized with all these details and was very receptive to all our ideas. Maria even came to our church rehearsal to introduce herself and drop off items that were needed for the ceremony. Everything was flawlessly executed on the wedding day. On the wedding day I felt so at ease knowing that Maria and her assistant, Tu ReCasino, were making sure everything went smoothly. I really did not have to worry about a thing. Maria should be running the country, she is just so awesome. I cannot recommend Peony Events enough.
Working with Stacey to plan our wedding over Memorial Day Weekend was an absolute dream. Our vision for our wedding was a little atypical, and her excitement and creativity from our first call helped make our wedding day more than we could have possibly imagined. The best part about working with Peony Events, aside from flawless execution and attention to detail, is that they always keep your vision in mind. I loved having someone who took the time to understand what I was creating and work with me to carry it through. Maria at Peony Events was amazing! My now-husband and I had been searching for a weekend-of coordinator to make sure everything at our outdoor tent wedding ran smoothly. Maria came on two weeks before with a ton of energy, confirmed with all of our vendors, had a great communication plan, and made us feel confident on our wedding day so we could really enjoy everything. She always responded to our texts and emails quickly. We'd highly recommend Peony Events.
Thanks to Maria Cucciniello for making my daughter’s wedding absolutely perfect! From the moment she came aboard, she made us all feel so comfortable and in such good hands, and that carried through to the very end of the evening. She and her assistant were so professional, organized, personable, and with such good suggestions, the whole experience could not have been one ounce better. It was just a spectacular event. They made everything happen so seamlessly and perfectly and gave my daughter and son-in-law the wedding they had dreamed of. A better start to their married life together I can’t imagine!
We hired Peony Events and Maria as our month of coordinator. It was the absolute best purchase of all the vendors we chose. Maria felt like a friend (now she is) through the entire process. My daughters wedding could not have been more perfect because of her attention to detail and take charge way. I wanted to feel like a guest at the wedding and that's exactly how I felt. Maria was a life saver! She was available for all calls, texts, emails, and always professional and organized. She saved the day several times, handling last minute emergencies (caused by me) with aplomb . She and her staff made the whole event relaxing and worry free- I heartily recommend Peony Events!
We hired Peony Events for our wedding in New York City and it was the best decision I made. Christine is an absolute angel. She is so organized, detail oriented, on top of everything and was working her magic in the background so I didn’t need to worry about the details leading up to the wedding. She has a deep network in the industry and knew the majority of my vendors already; the ones she didn’t know prior, she clicked with immediately. She has the most calming energy and made me feel at ease throughout the entire process and on my wedding day. She went above and beyond to make sure my vision became a reality. I would work with her again in a heart beat. She is simply the best!!!!
We hired Peony Events at the last minute for their day of coordinator package. Maria started working with us 2 weeks prior to the wedding and I truly do not know what I would've done without her. She thought of every detail, including many things I hadn't thought of, created our wedding day timeline, and took care of contacting and confirming all my vendors before the wedding. On the day of, she and Heather were rockstars, making sure that all family, bridal party, and vendors were where they were supposed to be and everything was running ahead of schedule. On the day of your wedding, naturally you're going to be busy talking to as many people as possible, taking photos, etc, that they day goes by so fast and is such a blur. I can't imagine if I had to add worrying about logistics into the mix. Having the team there really helped me to relax and enjoy the day as much as possible.
My daughter's wedding this past weekend was absolutely perfect, and it was largely due to Maria and her team at Peony Events. She spent many hours in preparation with my daughter and her fiancé leading up to the wedding and was with us throughout the rehearsal the night before and the entire wedding day - getting ready, photos, transportation, church, reception. There is more involved in the wedding day than I ever imagined - not enough space to list it all here, but they thought of EVERYTHING and it went seamlessly. They were also a pleasure to have around, and we all felt very comfortable with them. Definitely will work with them for the next wedding, and will recommend to my friends!

Wow! What an amazing group of ladies (Stacey, Christine and Tu). Peony was recommended to us by our venue and I'm so thankful for them. Although our wedding day was nothing short of perfect, we did have a few hiccups the week leading up to the big day; Christine handled it all with grace and professionalism. Christine was absolutely amazing to work with - accessible, professional, organized, caring, calm - I could go on and on. I truly miss working with her and can't recommend Peony enough!
11/5/2022 wedding review for the 2 month-plus package! Thank you, Maria, for turning what we had thought was going to be a logistical puzzle of a NYC-style wedding into a seamless, effortless, and magical day! Maria helped us throughout the entire process with creative details, logistical planning, minute-by-minute itinerary and scheduling for the entire day from 6:05AM - 11:00PM, and rehearsal planning. She was our go-to professional for bridesmaid and bridal dress prep/steaming, our walking to-do and to-remember lists, our personal stylist, and our personal therapist for remembering to breathe. I would say our biggest challenge for our wedding day was transportation - Our wedding ceremony was in the Newark, NJ Cathedral 30 minutes away from the Jersey City hotels and the venue - Maria helped us arrange transportation buses for 200 guests from hotels to the church, back to the hotels, (3 hour pause), to the reception, and again back to the hotels. She also assisted with arranging transportation for the guys (from the Westin) to the church, the girls (from the W Hotel) to the church and for the entire wedding party together (in a party bus) to pictures. She even found a limo close-ish to the day so that I could have a private ride with my dad to the Church. She was in constant contact with the drivers - everything went according to plan! Looking back now, I can't believe I was stressing about these logistics because the day felt truly seamless - thanks to Maria and Danielle, who also helped on our day. Talking through the logistics and itinerary over and over again was always helpful, and she was always receptive to go through it multiple times when planning together.
Overall, Maria was responsive and accommodating to our interests, preferences, and vision for the day. She was in the background throughout the wedding day - from sun-up to sun-down - taking pictures, steaming dresses, assisting the photographer, rubbing Tide-to-go on a makeup spot on my wedding gown, doing background movements of items to the church, transporting my 2nd dress and shoes to the venue, prepping my veil and my nerves before my aisle walk, making sure each table setting was perf ect, setting up all of my props for decor prior to the reception start, taking candid videos, instructing the band of the itinerary, bustling, helping me half-naked into my second dress, directing me and my husband where to go/what to do because she knew our heads were a blur with excitement. Without her, this day wouldn't have been possible - and she did everything in heels! We can't thank her enough for making a perfect and dreamy wedding come true!!

Maria and Tu were absolutely amazing at our wedding in September 2022. Everything went splendidly! I didn’t have a care in the world - exactly what I wanted after a year of planning. From day one with my first phone call with Maria I knew we were in good hands and on the same page. All of the vendors and reception venue were their preferred vendors. Maria quickly made phone calls and everything was secured within a few days.
In the coming 16 months Stacey and Maria were with us every step of the way from picking the invitation suite, floral arrangements, photobooth, band, photographer and videographer.
As the wedding drew closer all the final details were executed flawlessly. Every detail was put into place exactly as Kelly and I had envisioned for the day. It was such a joy to see the day unfold just as we had dreamed it…even the weather cooperated. Maria handled 3 hiccups like a pro…2 days before the wedding the vintage limo we had reserved lost its AC Maria worked with the car service and located one that was perfect, sewing Kelly into her gown when the hook and eye broke as we were zippering her in for her bridal portraits and remaking and pinning on my husband’s boutonnière when one of the roses fell off, I think from too much hugging of the bride! We did not have to think about anything on the wedding day…you both had it well in hand and guided us seamlessly through the entire day. It was like having your best friends supporting your every need and making sure everything was perfect. We all could not be more grateful..especially my husband when he said Wow! Now I understand what you all were working so hard on! The attention to detail really paid off!

Words do not even describe how great Stacey and Maria are. They helped me plan my August 2022 wedding in NJ while I was living in Boston. They were with me and my mom every step of the way and made things so effortless and easy to plan by narrowing down vendors and making sure they were all available for our wedding date and being at all the meetings with us. They are so extremely knowledgable and helped guided us with design and decision making. They took care of any problem that came up including finding a replacement vintage car since the we had reserved AC broke 2 days before the wedding and Maria sewing me into my wedding dress after the clasp broke. They were such a calming presence on the day of the wedding and made sure all the details were perfect. Stacey and her team came recommended through our venue and we were thrilled with our decision to hire her as a DOC. Even though our venue (Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club) is very experienced in weddings, I wanted more support when it came to little details and peace of mind during the whirlwind of my wedding weekend. I did not want to be delegating tasks to my bridal party (dress bustling, "hold my phone", "I need a drink!" etc). From our first initial phone consultation, Stacey took the time to get to know me and my mom and talk through details and logistics we had not considered. She even attended our church rehearsal so she could get to know our wedding party prior to the big day and understand the flow of the ceremony - it was so unexpected and appreciated!
I was beyond impressed by her calm and kind demeanor throughout the day. Our guests and vendors absolutely adored her. My mom lost a special earring at the venue and was unable to locate it anywhere. Once Stacey caught wind, she found it right away!! I am typically a high strung person that tends to get easily derailed when something does not go according to plan. My close family and friends remarked on how "chill" I was the day of my wedding and I really owe that to Stacey. Peony Events was recommended to us by our venue as well as a friend who had worked with them. After connecting with Stacey, we had our initial call with Maria and we hit it off right away. Maria is personable, engaging, and fun to collaborate with.
Since we had secured a number of vendors already, Peony worked with us pricing and set us up with a custom plan. We felt it was very clear what Maria was responsible for, which was extremely helpful and kept the lines from being blurry, but she repeatedly did go above and beyond for us. She connected my mom with someone who could help her find a Mother of the Bride dress and she reached out to some after party location options for us as well, for example.
Maria and Peony are very systematic and organized, which helped us feel on track with all the little things a wedding can entail and the consistency in Maria’s communication was helpful for us and our vendors. Beyond that, Maria helped us find vendors who could help make our vision come to life, helped us understand industry standards and best practices in the business, and helped organize my ideas into a creative vision. She has a great eye and was key to making design choices, such as linens, table scapes, floral color schemes, and invitations. We also had Maria with us at our tasting, and she was a great thought partner with strong recommendations about items guests often enjoy at weddings. (She was right too! Everyone loved the food.)
The night before the wedding, there was a slight hiccup with a vendor and Maria handled it swiftly and professionally.
The day of the wedding, Maria and her assistant were enthusiastic, always smiling and genuinely excited to see the day we’d all worked so hard on come to life. I will always treasure that - I really appreciated it because they honestly brought so much additional joy to the day. Peony also kept us moving all day long, to keep the schedule as on track as possible, and made sure that my mom, groom and I didn’t worry about a thing all day.

Stacey was incredible! As someone who is quite indecisive, having her expertise for big decisions (band, hair/makeup artists, etc.) down to the smallest was invaluable. I knew she would never steer us wrong and was always calm, cool, and collected no matter what. Even when we had to postpone our wedding, she helped us navigate a change in venue, church, florist, among others seamlessly. Thanks to Stacey, I was able to fully enjoy the entire day, including getting ready with our 20+ person wedding party; she kept everything moving and humming behind the scenes perfectly. I don't know where to begin. Stacey at Peony Events was an absolute life saver! As a bride who had three wedding dates and obstacles arising all the way through the morning of the big day, I can safely say that it was Stacey that got me to and through my wedding. Her calm demeanor helped keep me levelheaded throughout my entire time working with her, and she never failed to make me feel special. I always knew my wedding was a priority to Stacey, and I'm not exaggerating when I say she made the day possible. One example of many -- she helped me find and book a photographer NINE days before my wedding, and the photos are some of the best I've ever seen (shout out to Paul Francis Photography). I truly cannot thank her and her team enough for working so hard to ensure I had the wedding of my dreams.
Maria and Stacey at Peony events are amazing!! We hired Peony Events as our "month of/day of" coordinators, and they absolutely killed it. They came highly recommended from both my florist and my venue, and they did not disappoint. They took SOOO much pressure off me on the day of the wedding by acting as my point of contact for all my vendors, and helped me with anything and everything I needed throughout the entire day. In the last month and a half leading up to our wedding day, we were in contact with Maria almost every day. She was always willing to take the time to answer my questions whether it be by text, call or email. In the final weeks leading up to the wedding, Maria helped us complete all the final details, like reception place card ideas, ordering linens for the reception, and contacting every single one of my vendors to confirm all the details for the wedding day (and there were A LOT). She even created a document with a minute by minute break down of the wedding day, which she went through in detail with me to make sure we were on the same page at all times. And let me tell you, I appreciated that SO DAMN MUCH...it may not seem like a big deal, but up until that point, I had known that I booked most of my vendors and had help from my mom with all the planning, but I still felt SO stressed, unorganized, chaotic, and overwhelmed with remembering so much information. Working with Maria, going through all the details, knowing that she knew about EVERYTHING and could take the reins from there, felt like the biggest relief. She was organized, thorough, easy to talk to, and soooo helpful. She was at the venue ALL DAY for our wedding, constantly making sure everything was running smoothly, and helping out wherever needed. I would recommend Maria, Stacey, and Peony Events to anyone!!! So glad I made the decision to get a “month of” planner, and even more glad we went with Peony Events. We hired Stacey and team a few weeks before our June 2021 wedding as things were piling up so fast and we needed help to make it to the finish line. She helped us with all our final details, contacted all our vendors, and best of all was their the day of to take care of literally everything we needed. Could not recommend her more! Being able to really focus and enjoy the big day is more than worth it!
In a year where planning a wedding was challenging to say the least, Stacey and the team at Peony events were a cornerstone for us in our planning process. During the early days of the pandemic, Stacey was a great resource in helping us think through what we should do about our fall 2020 wedding and providing information on how other couples / venues / vendors had been thinking through similar challenges. When we decided to proceed with our original date of October 3, 2020 with a scaled back guest list. She helped to work with our venue and vendors to ensure that we were able to maintain the overall vision of our day while keeping our guests safe and comfortable. The day of the wedding, we decided to have Stacey and her team on site with us from when we started make-up at through the end of the reception ; they picked up every little detail that needed to be addressed during the day so my mom and I could focus on being in the moment. We are so happy we had Stacey and Peony Events on board to help us navigate through this unprecedented time and ultimately still safely have the wedding of our dreams!
My wedding was set to take place on April 18 2020 and given the COVID-19 circumstances… of course it did not happen. I had contracted Stacy for “Month Plus” coordinating which predominately comes down to her creating a timeline in advance of the event, coordinating vendors on the day of, and coordinating the wedding party on the day of.
When the governor of NJ imposed the stay at home order our April 18 wedding could no longer happen. I contacted vendors and let them know what was going on and I attempted to coordinate a new date with them. All in all due to the uncertainty of what the future had in store as far as COVID we didn’t end up landing on a final date.
I had reached out to Stacy and her team to let them know that of course April 18 wouldn’t happen and I would be in touch. At this point Stacy had not even begun the services that I contracted her for. When news broke that Gov Murphy was going to reopen churches in June my husband and I decided to get married and have a small dinner with family and friends. Once we had our small gathering we realized that we have no intention of having a large party anytime in the next few years since the stress of this situation was something we did not want to live through anytime soon.
I reached out to Stacy letting her know that we had no future plans and requested the return of our deposit but the terms of her contract “don’t” allow for it. What I find wrong with her contract is that her “non refundable” deposit makes sense when she actually performed her contracted services but the event did not happen. In my case Stacy spent no time working on our event other than our initial consultation to become a client and the phone call that I had with her to touch base when our April 18 wedding couldn’t happen. When requesting our deposit back I even offered to pay Stacy her “consulting fee” for the 2 hours that we spoke (described above).
Stacy did offer her services for a future event but truthfully any person who thinks it is right to keep a clients money when they have not performed any services is not someone I would like to work with in the future. She came highly recommended and my experience with her is very unfortunate.
To highlight she legally couldn’t do her job on the day that she was supposed to work our event, her contracted services did not yet begin based on her parameters in her contract, and she has refused to refund us our “non-refundable” deposit minus the (2) hours she worked with me.
I can’t seem to understand how a vendor can be so short sighted but here we are. What I do understand though is the struggle these small businesses went through as my mom owns 5 salons in New Jersey that were all shut down for months. She has 60 employees and 5 children and she refunded every bride and bridal party deposit because it was the right thing to do even when her contract also stated “non-refundable.”
It's hard to know where to even begin in expressing our thanks and profound gratitude for Stacey.
Stacey essentially single-handedly transformed our wedding day into an absolute dream come true.
Planning a wedding in the best of times is stressful; there are many decisions to be made, details to take care of, logistics to think through.
Planning a wedding in 2020 really just took the level of challenge involved -- both anticipated and unforeseen -- to another level.
For us, such challenges involved navigating the general uncertainty about what we would and would not be able to do on our wedding day, and the ultimate format our celebration would take, a venue cancellation and a hotel block cancellation, both within 5 weeks of our wedding day, as well as a hurricane that caused a week of power-outages the week of our wedding.
Stacey helped us navigate and pivot as needed through every single one of these challenges, with a supernatural level ease and composure.
She is so responsive, so on top of everything -- every single detail -- and possesses an admirable strength and composure that is calming, gentle and understated. I can't fully express our gratitude for her guidance, her approach to handling everything, and her presence. She supported and uplifted us throughout the whole process, especially during the moments when it was difficult to feel anything resembling happiness or optimism.
It was easy to see that Stacey's professionalism, approach, presence and demeanor were not only admired by us, her clients, but also by those she works with. Stacey has close and long-held relationships with venues and vendors in the area, and from our perspective, her ability to assemble a team of truly the most absolutely wonderful people we could have ever hoped to work with as we planned our wedding -- made our entire planning process and wedding day more special than we could have ever believed and something we'll always remember.
When our wedding weekend finally arrived, all of the stresses, worries, and anxieties completely melted away. It was beyond a dream come true and we had not one care, concern, or worry, other than enjoying every single moment of the day. Everything went smoothly and every detail was perfects, which is truly and singularly a reflection of Stacey and her team. As a bride, I will never know, but have a profound appreciation for the level of work and coordination that was required to pull everything off so flawlessly and without any detection.

Our wedding day would not have been the same without Stacey and her team at Peony Events. Stacey is everything you could ever want or ask for in a Wedding Planner. Above all else, she is calm and never shows any signs of stress during tough situations that inevitable come up during the wedding planning process. While every wedding and big event has its chaos, we re-planned and held our wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic and I have Stacey and her team to thank for how perfectly the day turned out. We miss talking to her and her team everyday and that just tells us that we made the right decision in hiring Peony Events!
